I'm so deeply intrigued by the family dynamics of the slasher au. At any point does Suzanne have the "be careful with my daughter or they'll never stop finding you" talk with Camila? Does Michael remember Lilith from his childhood, and if he does, how does he react to his big sister being an internationally wanted killer? Does Lilith have a relationship with Jillian, or did she cling to Suzanne? Please feel free to ignore this if it's too spoilery (or you don't want to answer). I just adore this au and want to know all of the things.

Parts of this are theoretically "spoilery" but who knows when the fuck slasher au will actually come out so like. who cares lmaoo

michael does sort of vaguely remember lilith from his childhood, he's abt 8-10-ish years younger than lilith so she's around for part of his late childhood but she disappears when he's like 14 (a few years before his mothers "die" in the car crash) then it's like a big time skip for like a decade and change until he's an interpol agent and actual slasher au happens

he's. well. I don't think he's shocked when he discovers she's a killer and the one he's looking for, but he doesn't tell anyone that he knows her, so bea and ava are out of the loop on that one!! ooh drama!!

lilith does have a relationship with jillian! it's not as close as she is with suzanne. jillian is like. she's trying not to overwhelm lilith when she initially escapes from adriel.

I think it's smthn like one night while lilith is up stalking the house late cause she can't sleep she comes across jillian making coffee at like 3 am and she's like "shouldn't you be... not doing that at 3 am. suzanne told me I shouldn't."

and jillian is trying to be a cool mom to this very traumatized teenager who lives in her house like a shadow. "I won't tell her if you won't"

lilith shifts uncomfortably. "I don't like to lie to suzanne." she doesn't like to lie in general, really, if she can avoid it. she's very good at choosing her words very carefully.

"then you don't have to." jillian gestures with her mug "I'll take the blame on this one, she knows about it. do you want some?"

and anyway I think jillian and lilith bond over weird medical history and being awake at like 3 am. nd sometimes suzanne wakes up at like 6 am for her morning yoga on the balcony and lilith joins her and lilith obviously hasn't slept, but she has a small smile on her face and excitedly explains how people used to drill holes in their heads so that's something like progress.

Eric and Donna race into Point Place Hospital, racing through its mindless corridors, until they reach the waiting room of the ICU. Frantic, and notably out of the loop.

Donna races to their particularly distraught daughter, and Eric races straight to his sobbing mother.

Donna amply brings a sobbing Leah close, stroking her strawberry hair.

"It's alright, I'm here now. Okay?"

But Eric is overwhelmingly tending to his mother. He merely gives Leah a quick, cordial hug, and promptly withdraws into a mindless oblivion.

He plops into one of the many rickety plastic chairs, staring at the paper thin walls. He's attempting to come to terms with the situation at hand, but he's not faring too well.

Instead, he's shaking, distraught, and he's outright deflecting. He can't trust her, no matter how hard he tries.

Instead, she betrayed him. She ran around like a headless chicken, and she kept stealing. His beer, his tap. She'd even use the cans as makeshift bowling pins, in some sort of warped mockery.

But she's supposed to be his little girl, and he struggles to reckon with the reckless teenager shaking in front of him.

He misses when they used to watch Spiderman together. When she'd playfully poke her tongue at him through the gap provided by her missing two front teeth.

She sticks her little tongue out, and races off towards the sunset. "Try to catch me, Daddy!"

Now, things are different. So, so different. Leah's this foreign entity, and so is his Dad. They haven't really had a cordial conversation in two years, and Leah got through to him in the blink of the eye. They were playing board games, going to the shooting range, and they were even taking archery classes together.

"Mom, Point Place is supposed to be a punishment, not a vacation."

But Kitty isn't having it, at all. "I think she needs it, honey. You get more with honey, instead of vinegar."

So, maybe he's in the dark. Maybe he's upset, confused, and everything in between.

"You still don't want to tell me anything? Like I don't know, I'm sorry?"

"Dad," Leah angrily scolds, abruptly breaking away from her mother in utmost fury, "Pop just had a freaking heart attack! We were having fun, playing Sorry. I even let him be Gryffindor, and now..."

Donna is similarly furious, as red as her hair. "Eric. Stop being a dumbass."

"I'm sorry, but there's an elephant in the room." He exclaims, loudly clearing his throat, "Fathers are supposed to be good to their daughters, and I don't think I've been good enough..."

Hyde and James suddenly appear, nervously ambling down the opposite hallway, and Hyde is particularly annoyed. "Stop quoting John Mayer, Forman."

Now, he's really out of the loop. "Where's Jackie?"

Hyde awkwardly hurls in the truth in his face, like an anvil colliding with his head. "She's in there with Dad, and Kate and Beck. He wanted us there, after Mom, Adrian, and Half Pint."

Eric is flabbergasted, and he's notably taken aback. "And what about me?"

"He mentioned somethin' about Donna, and you. And somethin' about how Laurie's taking her damn time."

But James is quick to blurt out even more. Like mother, like son. "He said that you were being a dumbass."

James plops down into another rickety plastic seat, a stone's throw away. Leah is quick to collapse into his lap, kissing him, and Eric finally takes some sort of stand.

Eric angrily clears his throat, in particular ire. "Hey, missy. Enough of the PDA, okay?"

But James has had enough. He's heard it all, and he's damn sick of it. "Shut the fuck up."

Ooh, conflicting feelings regarding this specific fandom!! I think a lot of what we get in our beloved characters grows out of that sense of being confined to a very small area against your morals and consent. It's the deliberate isolation, the hell that you can't drop out of or opt for another career if it's getting to you, the forced proximity that makes them develop into the lil dumpster fires we know and love.

But I also am a contemporary author primarily and not a historical one, so you can see my dilemma.

I'm much more inclined to put these characters in a modern AU if I can add elements of reincarnation trope to force them to remember and deal with their trauma, oops.

i KNOW it's adonis' Thing that ooh he looks bighugescary terrifying uncontrollable BEAST!!! so clearly he gets the role of the "beast", aka a jekyll/hyde kinda guy in a drama who murders people at night, but. this kid is 17. he's 178cm tall. he's brown. give him a fucking break :/ honestly i feel bad for ado fans because no matter what, even if a story shows that he's smart, thoughtful, gentle and caring, there's always going to be this undertone of "and who knew! yknow considering what he LOOKS LIKE". he looks like a person, happyele. foreigners are people, happyele.

like... rei wants undead's image to be friendly and approachable for everyone, including kids -- which is just... weird? idols like those in enst, where each group has a concept, obviously aren't going to be for everyone! i don't like shota boys, so i don't really care about rabits, tori or branco, and that's perfectly fine! i don't get why they couldn't just focus on maintaining the audience they currently have. is it different in japan? because from what i've seen in korea, groups with a smaller group of dedicated fans achieve more than groups popular with the lukewarm "oh hey, it's them, yeah, i like them" general public, because lukewarm gp doesn't buy albums, stream mvs and mass vote. and like. i don't think preschool kids can bring lots of capital, but what do i know. Sometimes “drama” is not actually drama. Sometimes it’s marginalized and abused people taking a stance against something harmful. The other side of that calls it “drama” and really wants you to see it as just “drama” so they can discredit the position of the marginalized and abused and make those people look like they are overreacting, when in actuality the marginalized and abused people are being reasonably defensive in the interest of their own safety and the safety of others like them. Nothing is ever just “drama” when it involves discussions of legitimate bigotry and human rights, and calling it such is a take I see almost exclusively from white people with some form of privilege. Just some food for thought.

How do you think things would have changed if Alt!Martha had stayed with Stranger Jonas in 1888? Once I had an idea of them actually having the baby in Jonas's world... Which technically wouldn't have changed many things because he would have maybe still married Agnes. Even when Dark is a super archy tight Stable Time Loop, one wonders...

Ooh, interesting. I had to sit down and think about this one, lol. I mean as long as everything checks out we can change things around! You need to strap in tho bc I am discussing this with myself at length.

One thing I didn't like about s3 is that it felt too rushed (we needed another season for all the things and characters they introduced honestly) and not nearly enough time was spent with a bunch of characters, the Sic Mundus crew being one of them. Jonas' arc to becoming Adam was one of the most engaging things for me to watch and it felt very bare bones in the end. Having Alt Martha staying around for longer would give us more time to spend with all characters in 1888, including Martha herself. If she'd also somehow become stuck, we'd also get to develop Jonas and Alt Martha's relationship more, which is another thing that just happened...way too fast lol, Martha went from not knowing Jonas to fucking him in like a day?? I'd prefer the drama of Stranger Jonas overcoming his distrust of Alt Martha slowly, and Martha warming up to him, mixed in with the already existing drama of that crew.

When Alt Martha went to 1888 she was already pregnant tho, right? She'd already fucked another version of Jonas lol. But I mean...technically Stranger Jonas already is the father of the unknown since the split versions of Jonas are just different instances of the same person (a sentence I never thought I'd write). Actually Martha at this point doesn't even know she's pregnant so uh, if she got together with Stranger Jonas they might not be able to tell it didn't happen bc of that (and again Stranger Jonas is also always the father of the unknown so identical child unless we're gonna bring age into the whole thing but let's not for simplicity's sake), altho she would still have been with younger Jonas and the timing might be more accurate for that encounter, especially if we imagine that she stays for a while before she develops a relationship with Stranger Jonas. Can't imagine tptb would allow Alt Martha to fuck around in 1888 tho, unless Stranger Jonas was the sole reason for the unknown. He would have to be uh, personally responsible for this one lol.

But maybe your idea didn't include Martha and younger Jonas' meeting and her indeed becoming pregnant by developing a relationship with Stranger Jonas instead...which would make the split Jonas redundant and we'd miss out on some great drama: Stranger's distrust being heightened bc of him not remembering her, showing Jonas the world he thought he wanted, which was one without him, and also we don't get the Jonas-being-killed-while-young-how-can-this-be twist. It's ofc possible to retain the idea of Jonas being shown the Alt world simply by having Martha explaining it to him, which she already does.

I'm not sure about Martha's motivations without having previously been intimate with/in love with younger Jonas tho. He's essential for getting Alt Martha's plot going, so having a hard time justifying getting completely rid of him (also that Jonas is the main character sort of so he couldn't be out of the game for most of the season until we get the third split in the finale). It would be possible to get around this by having someone else, maybe Eva herself who's sole motivation is to keep the loop going for her son, instigating Martha's plot. However, Martha would then have no prior emotional connection to Jonas so her developing/retaining feelings for Stranger Jonas seems more unlikely, unless we just want to go the "we are bound together by space and time and can't help ourselves" route, which I guess the show canonically does by having younger Jonas and Alt Martha get it on so incredibly quickly anyway lol. On the other hand I would terribly miss the parallel of OG and Alt Martha both seeing Jonas' older self and having the same kind of gut reaction bc both of them believe the Jonas they love is dead but have a chance to meet him again, only this time much older. They both become very emotional about it and accept Jonas' identity as this man instantly. This is a great segue into feelings deepening on Martha's end. We need the same kind of prerequisite for Stranger Jonas as well, as he's incredibly drawn to Alt Martha bc of her intrinsic connection to OG Martha and all of that emotional history. You can tell he's fighting so hard to keep his guard up even in the brief canon we get.

If we want to make things simple we could just not have Martha fuck younger Jonas, but they still develop feelings for each other and kiss (or just don't do that kind of fucking, but how would any filmmaker depict passion between cis men and women without its normative shorthands lol).

Anyway, Adam would still want to send Martha to Stranger Jonas in this scenario, as I'm assuming we would still get some kind of betrayal where she leaves..possibly with a baby/child? Jonas losing his child in the same way he witnessed Elisabeth and Noah lose theirs??? There is Some Drama to be had with this whole situation. Also just Stranger Jonas and a version of Martha uh consummating their relationship would be quite something to see just for the drama of that (not that regular surrounding people would bat an eye, this is the 1800's after all...). It would reinforce the mess that is the time loop, and would also be interesting bc of the what-ifs and tension that was left hanging when Stranger Jonas met OG Martha in s2 (answer: they get together but everything is still fucked). Also also, and this is important: it would make Stranger Jonas' dream about being with Martha foreshadowing. The nightmarish aspect of it, the God particle lunging out from her stomach, would be foreshadowing to their baby and the horrors that this Jonas would experience bc of it.

Pretty interesting, huh? I never understood why the obvious metaphor for the unknown was in the dreams of the Jonas that specifically never had their son - this would explain that. I guess it's also possible that it was just supposed to be some kind of metaphor for his anxiety wrt time travel and how it messed up his relationship with Martha but look the particle came out of her womb, that's a pretty obvious nod to pregnancy and the unknown being the ultimate result of time travel. The unknown is also the creator of the God particle. This show never misses an opportunity for some juicy foreshadowing!

What would the Sic Mundus crew think tho? They're friends (and relatives lol) of Jonas and even if this Magnus is not Alt Martha's brother I'm sure there would be some shock and horror of them getting together (feeding Bartosz's distancing of himself from Jonas anyone?). This doesn't comply with how Magnus and Franziska...comply with Jonas' plans. It's never even explained why they agreed to just end all of their lives and the lives of their loved ones in the first place, but I'm assuming in this theoretical season we would have more time to explore their motivations as well. Would Jonas and Martha keep their relationship secret? I mean if there's a kid involved I'm assuming others would be in the know. During this time Jonas might even become disinterested in working on the God particle and that would definitely not sit well with Bartosz for example. Jonas would be completely seduced by the fact he could be with Martha now, in some way (and only distantly related now, to themselves, lol).

At some point Martha would have to leave, tho. She could be manipulated into doing so, but also she still has her own entire world that is being destroyed and her motivations for going away can still be explained, even if it would now pain her immensely to do so.

She wouldn't have to be stuck in 1888 I guess, but it certainly helps with the development of their relationship since they would have a sort of enemies to lovers arc. You can also explain things like accidental pregnancy when you're you know..in the 1800's and there's no contraceptives and abortions must've been incredibly dangerous if they even existed. So you can see how, even if they might both be terrified of whatever this child means for the loop, they kind of accept it happening. Also I'm sure Adam wouldn't send her to specifically seduce his younger self, he just knows it happens anyway, so there's no weird baby-making mission lol.

It would definitely compound Jonas' trauma to have all of this happen. It would definitely be another way to just drive home how fucked everything is. He would be deceived in a much more severe way so I don't see this interfering with Jonas' arc to becoming Adam. In fact it would probably speed up the process lol. God, Jonas would be so crushed after growing to trust her, having a child with her and then being fucked over yet again. It would go just in line with his gullible personality and previous arc, tho. That poor man just wants to believe in love so, so bad.

The foundation of Martha's pain over Jonas would also be better I think, if she spent more than like two days with him and had the emotional connection of them having a child together.

Which, which, imagine Stranger Jonas having this child and then finding out he's the origin and having. To. Kill. Him. While I claimed earlier that Stranger Jonas (and by extension, Adam) was always the father of the unknown regardless, it would definitely be the ultimate act of violence upon himself to murder his own child in that sense. He murdered surrounding people, he murdered the love of his life, he murdered his mother, and by the end of it, he would murder his own son. That's some next level messed up shit. There would be a completely different and more severe tone if Adam was personally involved in who the unknown was and came to be, and the audience would've been on this journey too.

The issue here is that the unknown would probably have been born at this point, unless we keep the relationship with Stranger Jonas fairly brief and Martha is still pregnant. Would they be aware of it, tho? They could be. You'd miss out on some of the (amazing) drama I just described, tho. Or Adam tries to actually murder the unknown as a child, which is...phew. There are some things that don't check out at this point, tho. The unknown cannot die, so either Adam would have to fail in killing him or Martha has to be split, but she'd have to be split after she becomes pregnant, which messes with the timeline a bunch. Unless...since Adam only would care about erasing the unknown's existence Martha might be able to escape and goes back to be split during the apocalypse. But that doesn't work bc then she would have to still be pregnant and Adam wouldn't focus on the child. Maybe simply the Martha that has the unknown with Stranger Jonas is indeed killed (or her and the unknown) and the other Martha keeps going to become Eva and has the unknown with younger Jonas? No wait that doesn't work either. As soon as we need to split Martha for her and the unknown to survive we run into timeline complications that I think I would have to sit down and think about pretty hard to come up with a solution to. We can always have Adam failing in killing the unknown, but still have the drama of the whole situation (including Martha having to leave her own son to be murdered at the hands of his dad), but it's not as satisfying as Adam succeeding, but it still not working towards his ultimate goal and now he's just killed his own child for nothing.

If we somehow get past this plothole the unknown can still go back to Eva to be raised to become who he is, get with Agnes and so on.

But you were sitting at your desk, scrolling aimlessly through your phone as you were detached to whatever was going on in the room before class officially started. Bakugou glanced over at you expectantly, preparing himself to say no before you could even approach him but for some peculiar reason you hadn’t moved from your seat.

Not putting much mind into it, Bakugou sat down in his seat, which was located right beside you. You still didn’t pay any attention to him as Aizawa entered the room and class began. The rest of the day went by relatively quick and oddly enough you hadn’t even uttered a word to Bakugou. As time went by, it had been two weeks since you had spoken to him directly.

“Y/N, hasn’t been hanging out with us recently,” Kaminari said with a pout.

“Well finals are coming up and I think she’s just been preparing for them with the other girls,” Kirishima said with a shrug.

Bakugou scoffed as he took another bite of his lunch. “She probably thinks she’s better than us… hanging out with these other shitty extras.”

“Dude, you’re just being a drama queen,” Sero said, side eyeing his friend for assuming such a thing about you.

Before Bakugou could curse him out for calling him a drama queen, he sealed his lips shut after noticing you walking with Mina towards the table with a tray of food in your hands.

“Well look who decided to join us,” Kaminari teased, overjoyed to have you back with the group.

You chuckled. “Sorry guys, I know it’s been a bit since I hung out with everyone.”

Kaminari, Kirishima, and Sero nodded understandingly and they all, including Mina, watched you carefully, anticipating your attempt to ask Bakugou out since it had been a while since your last attempt. Whenever you had tried to ask him out, you did so in front of your friends without any shame even though Bakugou rejected you.

But to their surprise, you stayed quiet, eating your food like everyone else in the cafeteria had been doing. Bakugou narrowed his brows at you as you kept talking to the boys and Mina throughout lunchtime. Occasionally you’d make eye contact with Bakugou due to his intense staring and you'd give him a small smile. For some reason that pissed him off.

But what pissed him off even more was when you spotted Todoroki finally entering the cafeteria to buy lunch and you immediately sprung up from your seat. “I’ll talk to you guys later.”

Before any of your friends could say anything, you called out to Todoroki, looping your arm through his as you both walked over to buy lunch for him. 

“Whoa, I didn’t know those two were close,” Kirishima commented.

“Ooh, you think they’re dating?” Mina asked excitedly as she peered over to the table you were now seated at.

“I don’t blame her. I mean this jackass rejected her so many times and now she’s with someone who won’t waste her time,” Kaminari said, glaring at Bakugou.

On any other occasion Bakugou would’ve given Kaminari a piece of his mind for his comment but he was far more irritated by the sight of Todoroki of all people being the one you were sitting so close to.

The remainder of the day passed like it normally did but Bakugou found it difficult to pay attention for the rest of his classes. He glanced over at your seat beside him occasionally, watching as you intently listened to your teachers and took notes like the diligent student you were. 

The end of the day came and you said bye to your friends like you usually did only this time you went out of your way to say goodbye to Todoroki. Bakugou could feel his blood boiling. Where was his goodbye? You always treated him differently compared to your peers and now you were giving him the cold shoulder? Were you hitting on and asking out Todoroki like you had with him now?

Fed up with these questions berating his mind, Bakugou got out from his seat, ignoring Kirishima who had asked him to wait for him before he walked home. Bakugou followed you out the building and once you were both alone, he caught up with you and grabbed your wrist to stop your footsteps.

You turned around, confused who had grabbed you so abruptly. Your features softened when making eye contact with Bakugou. “Oh, Bakugou! What’s wr-”

“The fuck are you doing?” Bakugou asked harshly.

“What?”

Bakugou let go of his hold from your wrist, glaring down at you. “You’ve been ignoring me for two fucking weeks and now you’re moving onto that Icy Hot bastard?”

“I wasn’t ignoring you,” you said simply.

“Oh? Then what’ve you been doing then, huh?”

You let out a sigh before you met his crimson eyes again with your own. “Bakugou, I’ve liked you for a while, you know that. I mean, everyone knows about it. But you’ve also rejected me like a thousand times. You can’t expect me to ask you out forever when I know you’re just gonna say no. I wasn’t ignoring you, I was just… keeping my distance.”

Bakugou’s gaze wandered around your face, trying to decipher what you were thinking. He scoffed, looking off to the side as he felt his cheeks burning up before he spoke. “Fine.”

You rose a brow at him in confusion. “Fine? Fine what?”

“I’ll… go out with you…” he muttered, refusing to meet your eyes.

Your own eyes bugged out in the shape of saucers, almost believing your ears were lying to you. “Wait really?! You’ll go out with me?!”

“Don’t make me fucking repeat myself,” Bakugou said. “We’re going out now so I better not see your shitty little ass talk to any other guy, especially Icy Hot or Shitty Deku.”

You beamed at him, looping your arm through his like you always did just to annoy him. Only this time he didn’t push you away and instead he walked you home.

Major In another life feels (my ghost!Peeta fic). We all know Katniss is a little emotionally confused due to circumstances. Imagine the fact she witnessed the guy she was secretly crushing on get shot and killed in front of her...Of course she just loses her shit and life will seem much worse than it already did.

Now imagine Peeta coming back as a ghost and showing her life could still be good and she can find love with a ghost (who cares that there's a lot more drama in that fic but yeah) this song gives me major inspiration for that fic and even though I am not writing it aka its complete and beta'd, just waiting to be posted, the song wont leave my brain lol

(I received the prompt "Fatima and Rountree play a teen game" a while back and got this put together. Hope you like it!)

 

Fatima and Rountree sat down in the small booth at Mulberry's as they waited for their pizza to arrive.

"Let's play a game," Rountree suggested.

"Which game?" Fatima asked, setting her phone on the table.

"How about 21 Questions?" Rountree suggested. Fatima laughed.

"What are we, twelve, Tree?" she asked. He smirked.

"Are you scared I'm gonna ask you something embarrassing?" he teased. She grinned and blushed.

"Maybe a little," she said sheepishly. He grinned.

"Tell you what. Two passes each," he said. Fatima smiled.

"Fine. Nothing R-rated, mister," she warned. He grinned.

"You go first," he said. Fatima grinned.

"What's your favorite movie, ever?" she asked. He thought about it.

"Yojimbo," he said after thinking for a bit. Fatima thought about his answer.

"Really?" she asked.

"Yeah. We watched it together, and I, um, had a lot of fun," he said shyly. Fatima blushed. "Was that cheesy?" he asked. Fatima grinned.

"It was so cheesy," she teased.

"Your turn," he said softly.

"Same," she replied sheepishly. Rountree grinned.

"Do you like horror movies?" he asked. Fatima thought about it.

"Not by myself," she said. He grinned.

"I love them," he said softly.

"Why'd you pick LA?" she asked. Devin smiled.

"Originally, Jordan got into college. I didn't want her to be so far away from an adult. You?" he asked. Fatima smiled.

"My, um, my family moved here from Iran when I was real young. After Leilani died, I moved around a bit. Tried to figure things out, you know? Then Nell called me to help with a case, and I fell in love with the team," she said softly. Devin smiled.

"I don't really know what to say to that," he admitted.

"That's okay. Just ask a new question," she replied sweetly. Rountree grinned.

"What's your guilty pleasure?" he asked. Fatima thought about it.

"I'd say steamy novels," she admitted. Devin's eyes widened.

"You?" he asked teasingly. Fatima blushed and sipped her water. "Mine is probably teen drama shows," he admitted.

"Ah, so Sunset Canyon got you hooked?" she teased. Rountree blushed and nodded a little.

"Cute," he said when he saw her smirk. He was a thousand percent sure that her little smirk would be the death of him.

"Have you ever dated a coworker?" she asked him. Rountree nearly choked on his cola.

"N-no," he said. Fatima narrowed her eyes teasingly, but laughed.

"Me either," she said.

"Are you straight?" he asked. Fatima smiled softly.

"Not entirely. I, uh, I'm bi, but I only date guys for, uh, personal reasons," she said softly. Rountree got up and slid into her booth.

"You do not have to explain yourself to me. You need to know that I love and accept you, no matter what, okay?" he whispered. Fatima smiled softly and leaned into him. "Do you want to keep going, or did I go too far?" he asked softly.

"Keep going," she said, taking a bite of her pizza.

"Okay," he murmured. "I am straight, and now you ask me something," he whispered. Fatima smiled.

"Would you ever date a coworker?" she asked.

"Depends. I wouldn't want it to be awkward, but, you know, if she was like, my dream girl I wouldn't say no," he said softly.

"I would too, probably," she said.

"You dating anyone right now?" he asked.

"Nope," she said.

"Me either. Your turn," he said.

"Have you ever kissed someone of the same sex?" she asked.

"Nope, and I don't really plan to," he said. Fatima smiled.

"I did. A couple times, when I was younger." Her voice trailed off a little.

"Are you okay?" he asked softly. She nodded. "Do you like anyone right now?" he asked.

"Yes," she said. Devin grinned.

"Ooh, care to loop me in?" he asked. Fatima smiled.

"Nope," she said teasingly.

"I do too," he whispered. He couldn't help sneaking a peek at her lips, which had small droplets of water clinging to her lipstick. Fatima saw him and smiled softly.

"My turn," she said softly. "Can I kiss you?" she asked shyly. Devin's eyes widened.

"Yes you can," he said softly. He pulled her closer and smiled as she kissed him softly. He wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her closer as their mouths opened against each other. His tongue slid into her mouth and gently swirled around hers. Once they broke apart, she grinned.

"I think I'm ready to go home," she whispered seductively.

"But we haven't even finished 21 Questions," he pointed out.

"Do you care?" she asked, putting his hand on her waist. Rountree grinned and pulled her against him.

"Not particularly," he murmured, kissing her again as they waited for a box.
