So, in my rewrite, Keith's name is Keith Kim, and I shall explain my decision to make it so.
In Legendary Defenders, Keith does not have a surname... I'm not joking. His surname is never confirmed, so the fandom just decided to call him 'Kogane', as was his name in the original series, 'Keith Kogane/Kogane Akira'.
In my rewrite, Keith is half-Korean, so I gave him a Korean surname.
(I'm not sure if many people recognised it, but I have implied that he is still Texan, when Hunk remembers him yelling 'revolving son of a bitch', which is a Texan curse. They get very creative.)
So! Onto why I chose 'Kim'. It's really simple - Kogane means 'gold', and Kim means 'gold'. I just decided to chose a surname with the exact same meaning.
It's also common for foreigners to have an 'English name', for the sake of convenience or pronounciation issues. A lot of my past classmates, particularly those from Africa, had either shortened versions of their names or a different name entirely due to people either struggling to pronounce it or just because.
As such, I just wanted to let y'all know that Keith does have a Korean name. I do plan to include it but you can guess for now :)

Osamu stood behind the counter of Onigiri Miya, meticulously shaping a rice ball, his hands moving with practiced ease. The lunchtime rush had just ended, leaving the shop in a peaceful lull. You sat at one of the small tables, watching him work, a soft smile playing on your lips.
"Yer starin’," Osamu called out, his southern drawl thick, though his eyes remained focused on the task.
You chuckled. "Can’t help it. You look cute when you're in the zone."
He smirked, glancing at you for just a second before returning his attention to the onigiri. "Cute, huh? Don’t think anyone’s ever called me cute for that before."
"Guess I'm the first, then," you teased, leaning back in your chair.
Osamu finished shaping the onigiri and set it on a plate, washing his hands and wiping them in towel. He walked over, placing the plate in front of you. "Here. Taste test fer me?"
You took the onigiri, feeling the warmth of the freshly made rice. As you bit into it, the perfect blend of flavors hit your taste buds, and you hummed in satisfaction. "It’s amazing, as always."
Osamu leaned against the counter, watching you with a proud, satisfied grin. "Good. Got plenty more where that came from."
"Maybe I’ll have to hang around more often then," you teased, though you both knew it was a promise more than a joke.
"Wouldn't mind that at all," Osamu replied softly, his eyes lingering on you just a little longer before returning to his work.

meal ideas!
low energy ("do not ask me to do any prep work at all, so help me god")
mozzerella cheese wrapped in pepperoni ("pizza tacos"!)
hummus and pretzels or naan (putting the naan in the microwave for like 10 seconds...heavenly)
canned chili (with shredded cheese and sour cream if you have it! boom done!)
instant miso soup (warm and lovely! put tofu in it for protein!)
cheese and cured meat, olives, canned fish, crackers, dried fruit, or whatever easy "charcuterie" type items you like
alternate bites of apple and spoonfulls of peanut butter (mixing honey or chocolate chips to the peanut butter is my favorite)
a "deconstructed sandwich": bites of lunch meat, pickles, cheese, cherry tomato, etc (I love roast beef and white cheddar for this)
yogurt and granola or fruit
put frozen potstickers + frozen edamame in the steamer/rice cooker, chill elsewhere with a timer set, then boom
tortilla chips + canned refried beans + cherry tomatoes + cilantro + jarred salsa con queso (or warm shredded cheese on top of the chips in the microwave for 30 seconds)
bagel + cream cheese + lox
microwave scrambled eggs (add things like green onion, soy sauce, or anything else you like!)
cottage cheese and fruit (mixed together or just on the side)
bowl of shredded rotisserie chicken + buffalo sauce + a bit of mayo + green onion (use a kitchen scissors to cut them right in!)
medium energy ("I'll boil water but don't ask me to chop shit")
boiled eggs and fresh veggies (put a little salt on top of the eggs!)
buttered noodles (my go-to nausea meal, it has never failed me. ideas of things to add: frozen peas, imitation crab, roasted garlic)
baked potato with toppings (I like cheese, bacon, broccoli, green onion, and sour cream)
quesadilla (add some canned beans, cilantro, or avocado!)
pot roast (requires a lot of time but not a lot of actual work. I love it with peas!)
cuban sandwich (bread, swiss, pickle, mustard, ham... my favorite thing to panini-ify by far)
pan-fried tofu with scallion sauce (this sauce goes well with everything and tofu is no exception)
pancakes or waffles! (I love mine with jam)
ham, pickle, and cream cheese roll-ups
fried eggs (with toast and lots of butter...so comforting)
fruit smoothie (bananas, frozen strawberries, yogurt...or whatever!)
I hate salad but could write essays on this copycat olive garden salad (throw it in a bowl! chopping required if you use onion)
spaghetti (controversial maybe but angel hair > spaghetti noodles)
pasta salad (olives broccoli fresh mozerella... those little mini pepperonis... yeah)
stir-fried thai garlic shrimp (I like using the mini frozen salad shrimps, it's easy! use jarred minced garlic to avoid chopping!)
tuna mayo onigiri
slow cooker ribs
buffalo chicken wrap (or any number of other wrap options! shred pre-cooked rotisserie chicken to make it easier)
if your local grocery store sells pre-cooked gyro strips, that can turn into an easy wrap with store-bought pita & tzatziki with tomatoes and onions!
couscous and chickpeas
tortellini + pasta sauce + spinach
high energy ("I don't mind chopping some things up!")
stuffed shells with spinach
chicken and roasted garlic (oh my god.....one of my all time favorites)
beef tacos (I like mine with cilantro and onion, and when I'm feeling especially high energy I love a tomatillo salsa)
chicken alfredo
tom kha gai (a thai soup and my absolute favorite! you just need access to galangal)
lasagna! (freezes well and then boom! low energy meal for later)
pad thai! (not as hard as you'd think, as long as you have access to tamarind paste!)
potstickers! (this is a lovely group activity if you want to cook with housemates!)
rice and beans
bang bang shrimp (ogughfhgfuh I love it. you can also do bang bang tofu!)
minestrone soup (so many nice veggies!)
fried rice (put whatever you have on hand in there! broccoli, peas, carrot, and beef is my favorite combo)
broccoli cheddar soup
spring rolls and peanut sauce
skewers (such as beef, onion, zucchini, bell pepper... you don't need a grill, oven works!)
roasted turkey with garlic parmesean asparagus
pork chop with mashed potatoes
panang curry
chicken gnocchi soup (use store bought gnocchi or make your own if you have a high energy day!)
bibimbap (super customizable depending on what veggies you like best)
butter chicken
plus! things that have helped me meal plan:
whenever you think of a meal you'd like to make, take 3 seconds to google search it, take a screenshot of the image results, and put it in a "food ideas" folder. instant visual menu!
the concept of "meal prepping" makes me recoil but I've learned that it can simply mean preparing shredded chicken, boiled eggs, or some other simple protein that you can customize throughout the week. shredded chicken can turn into wraps, salads, pasta dishes, etc... you don't have to meal prep yourself into the same meal all week!
when I have difficulty working up an appetite, I'll scroll through my favorite restaurant menus! there might be some foods I can't make at home, but many times they're very simple to recreate because the ingredients are literally listed!

𝐃𝐑𝐔𝐍𝐊 𝐃𝐔𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐓𝐘. | miya atsumu ˊˎ
。⋆ .✧˚ synopsis. little boyfriend atsumu is drunk and in love.
cw. kinda suggestive, pet names (baby), fem!reader
notes. men who r clingy and all cute for their partner when they're drunk have my heart 🫶
"baby," atsumu whines, breath reeking of alcohol.
you roll your eyes in reply and refocus your attention on carrying both your weights into your shared apartment, stumbling and scrambling to reach the bedroom so you could free yourself of the parasite that is your boyfriend.
finally feeling the mattress against your back pulls a sigh out of you. but then the bed shifts, and your moment of relaxation is cut short as you realize atsumu was still wide awake.
curse osamu for calling you over to onigiri miya in the middle of the night, and curse him for not taking responsibility for his drunk brother and dumping atsumu onto you when you could've been soundly sleeping by now.
"damn you, osamu." you grumble, taking a peek at your boyfriend. he's already staring back with a slumped smirk, grip failing as he attempts closer contact.
"ya know, yer s'pretty," atsumu slurs, "mmh..soo beautiful."
you cock a brow at this, "am i now?"
"mhmm, mos'gorgeous girl 've ever seen." he coos like you're a child. you're unimpressed, evidently, but then atsumu gathers your cheeks in his hands and leans in and suddenly your poker face crumbles.
"m'wanna kiss ya baby," he whispers much too close to your lips, "can i?"
"you smell strongly of alcohol." you try to reason.
"so what?" he argues, eyes pleading desperately.
you hum, as if thinking his words over, "right.. maybe just one."
atsumu perks up and abruptly attaches his lips on yours. you settle into the kiss quickly, melting in his arms as your boyfriend manages to heave noises from you.
for someone who was hammered, atsumu still possessed so much of his strength, you think.
you're pulling away first, leaving your boyfriend pouting and wanting more. he's gently clawing at your waist and pressing his body flush against yours, needy. you call his name out, voice low in warning.
"'tsumu.."
"aw, c'mon baby jus' one more, hm? please?" he drags the last word out and you're barely able to keep yourself from giving in.
"maybe in the morning, 'tsumu, when you're not drunk."
atsumu huffs out a breath, "oh fine, wh'teva." yet doesn't do anything to protest, only snuggling up to you.
you smile at his childishness, "well– i guess in return for your patience, you can have more than just a kiss."
atsumu seems to brighten up at this and he nods his head against your chest, "deal!"
you're next to grinning at this point, god your boyfriend could be such a child.
