I | Zayne drops his voice a little lower than necessary while standing beside you knowing it will usually make you nervous, murmuring, “You’ve stopped stuttering. I almost miss it.” Your heart skips a beat but you keep your face neutral, “I practiced.”, you reply before walking away.

II | Zayne purposely asks you to help with something simple, things he could easily do himself. He knew it made you nervous, he could always feel the ice around his heart melt everytime he saw your hands shake as you tried to help. What he loved even more was teasing you about it. “Hands shaking today?” he asks lightly- carefully. You don’t even smile. “Not at all." He frowns.

III | “Your notes are unusually thorough, much more than usual. Am I making you nervous again?”

“No.”

He pauses. He pauses in that way that would always make you squirm, eye darting everywhere but his way, fingers twisting in the cloth of your scrubs.Now, you don’t even blush.

IV | During rounds, he lingers at your side a beat too long- long enough that you’d normally turn tomato-red and trip over your words. Now, you just shift away and keep taking notes. He stares at you. Silent.

V | You haven't brought him coffee today, nor did you yesterday - or the day before that actually. A routine you had been stuck to for months, suddenly halted. Zayne tried to recall the few days before you started acting so distant, had he done something? Said something? Where has your smile gone? Zayne thought, just as he saw you walk past his office- cup of coffee in hand.

VI | He bumps your shoulder very lightly while reaching for a chart. “Careful,” he says dryly, “wouldn't want our nurse to fall and get hurt." You reply, “There are things that cause a lot more pain than just a fall." He stops mid-motion, like what?

VII | He starts standing closer when reviewing reports with you—close enough that your elbow brushes his. You used to flinch. Now you don’t even react. You shift your chair away and don't even look his way.

VIII | “Nurse." Zayne calls out one day, "Could I speak to you for a moment?" You hesitated for a moment before taking a step forward before halting again at the faint sound of giggles. "I'm busy, Doctor." “Yeah." Zayne mutters, eyes locked on you, "You seem to be a lot these days.” You could barely keep your bottom lip from trembling, responding with a simple, "Yeah." before you walked away.

IX | Zayne starts correcting your minor errors in a purposely sharp voice, just enough to gurantuee a reaction from you - at least it used to. You only say, “Thanks for pointing it out." and fix it. It feels too calm. Too clinical. Nothing like his nurse.

X | He tries to joke during a lull between patients: “Still not a slightest hint of a smile. Should I be worried?” You just reply, “Probably not,” without even looking up. Zayne’s smile falters just slightly.

XI | He casually mentions, “You haven’t tripped over the IV cart all week.” You respond, “I learned how to walk.” There’s no laughter in your voice. It doesn’t sit right with him at all.

XII | He walks up behind you while you’re writing and says your name. A few weeks ago that would’ve made you jump and stammer. Now, you turn slowly, blink, and wait.

“…Yes, Doctor?”

It irritates him- if only you knew how much.

XV | He's done, he can't take it anymore. He corners you one day, just as you're about to leavs, quietly and not so casually this time, “Did I… do something?”

You give him a polite smile. “Of course not.”

"Then why? Why have you been acting like this? Who hurt you?" He fires one question after another.

You feel the tears pool in your eyes but you don't say a word. Not one. You just push those tears back and smile sadly, breaking the doctor's heart into a millions of pieces and walk past him and out of the door.

Everyone told you not to take the job. Not when it came with him. “Zweig’s a lost cause,” they’d said. “Too much attitude, not enough discipline.”

“Waste of potential.”

“Cocky, lazy. Gets by on talent and arrogance.”

“You’ll regret it.”

You wish they had said something else. You wish they had warned you about how beautiful he’d look when he wanted to impress you.

How ruinous his attention would feel when it landed on you like heat after a storm. How he’d burn for your approval until there was nothing left to give.

You took the job because you wanted a challenge. Coaching men’s tennis at a prestigious university meant cutting your teeth on reputations and egos. You were the first woman to take the role in twenty years. People already thought you’d fail.

You didn’t expect your biggest obstacle to have a jawline like a Greek tragedy and eyes like something smoldering at the bottom of a whiskey glass.

Patrick Zweig.

He’s all swagger and sweat the first time you see him. arguing with a ref during a scrimmage, throwing his racket at the net, sneering when he loses a point. You hated him instantly.

But you didn’t miss the way he moved. Precise. Powerful. There’s something animal in it—something desperate. Like winning might be the only way he knows how to stay alive.

And when he sees you? God. It’s like the world stops. He smirks. That stupid, infuriating smirk. “Didn’t know we were hiring models now,” he drawls, offering a hand that’s still calloused from the court.

“Didn’t know we were keeping tantrum-throwing toddlers on the team,” you shoot back, crossing your arms. “Looks like we both have some surprises in store.” His smirk falters. Just a little. You think: Good.

But then his eyes flicker over your face again, and for a second..just a second, you see something shift. Respect. Curiosity.

Something that scares you more than his attitude ever could.

The weeks go by.

You push them hard. You push him harder.

No shortcuts. No ego. No coasting by on raw talent. You make him do footwork drills until his shirt is soaked through, serve until his shoulder goes tight with strain, run until he snarls at you like a feral thing.

But he never backs down.

Never quits. Never misses a day. And you start to notice how he looks at you.

Not with the cocky flirtation you expected, but with something quieter. Sharper. Like he's starving.

When you correct his grip, his eyes flick to your lips. When you say “good job”, he flushes like it matters. Like it means more than any win ever has. He lingers after practice. Always.

One night, he corners you by the lockers. “You ever going to say something nice to me?” he asks, low voice tinged with something wounded.

“I say nice things when people earn them,” you reply, brushing past.

He catches your wrist. His grip is gentle—but firm. His mouth is close to your ear when he says, “I want to earn it. Just don’t know how.”

You should tell him to back off. You should report it. You should be the professional.

But God, he says it like a confession. Like he’s never wanted to be good for anyone until now.

And you..stupid, soft thing that you are, you want to believe him. He doesn’t hesitate to tug you close before slamming you against the lockers, the sound of your body hitting it loud, present. He hungrily kisses you, making you gasp against his lips. Your eyes wide.

clenching your eyes shut as his roughly kissed down your neck, his breathing very heavy like he craved this. He needed this, he was hungry for it. he growled against your chest, making you shiver.

his lips pressed your ear. “I just..want you to compliment me. Can you do that? tell me I’m a good player.” His whispered, almost like he was challenging you. You hesitated but you managed, “you—you’re a good player.” You whispered, making him look back up at you.

“thank you.” He muttered, “thank you.” He nodded, walking out as if nothing had happened. It was odd, it was weird but you liked it. You liked him.

He starts to change. He starts helping the younger players with drills. He stops arguing with refs. He texts you questions about strategy at 2am like he’s dreaming of it. He reads the plays you assign, takes notes. He shows up early.

He plays like his life depends on it.

And in some strange, intimate way, like your opinion is the only scoreboard that matters. He brings you coffee without asking your order.

He stops flirting with other girls.

He starts... staying late. Talking. Sitting on the bench beside you, legs bouncing like he’s nervous. Once, after a grueling win, you touch his shoulder and say, “That was your best game yet, Patrick.”

He stares at you like you just handed him the world. “You’re not supposed to care what I think,” you say, quietly, watching the way his jaw clenches.

“Too late,” he mutters, then walks away before you can answer.

It happens after a tournament win.

You both stay behind, alone in the locker room. You’re pacing, coming down from the adrenaline, rambling about a misjudged shot—he’s just watching you like he’s drowning.

“You’re the only one who ever expected more from me,” he says. “Everyone else just let me be a fuck-up. I wanted to be better for you.” You turn, ready to shut it down, but he’s already in front of you.

His hand cups the back of your neck. His lips brush your forehead. “Tell me to stop,” he whispers. You don’t and when he kisses you, it’s not wild or rough—it’s terrifyingly tender.

he softly hums into your lips, a big difference from the last time he’d kissed you but you knew that would change. you closed your eyes before kissing him back. He doesn’t hesitate to reach for the bottom of your shirt, tugging it to signal that he wanted..or needed to take it off of you.

you agreed, raising your arms and he immediately rips it off of you. groaning when he sees your bra, his calloused hands going to cup your covered breast. his hands eagerly grabbing your bra clasp, unclasping it with such ease it makes you gasp.

the disgusting and yet cold air of the locker room hitting your bare chest. His hands quickly switched to your ass in that tennis skirt, his mouth had also switched to your neck once again.

you felt your skirt being lifted, shivering at that feeling of being grabbed so tightly. though that changed when he pulled it down quickly, along with your shorts and that’s how you were laying on a bench that was in the locker rooms. It was disgusting knowing how many men had sat there but you were desperate, it was worth it when Patrick’s tongue dug deep into you.

your moans echoing across the locker room, you had a somewhat fear that someone was going to hear you but did you care? hell no, not when his tongue was hitting you in the most perfect spot.

it quickly ended, leaving you empty and whining. He didn’t even give you a chance to finish. his shorts down and his cock up, red and throbbing. Looked painful but you were gonna help, and fuck— you were soaked and that was good enough for him.

and that’s when you came, it was amazing. The release and the feeling, he bit his lip watching as your juices flew out of you. He rubbed your side, “that was amazing.” He nodded before pulling out. Stroking his own cock, painting your stomach white.

after that? things weren’t exactly the same. Not in an awkward way but it kept happening, same time, same place.

But here’s what no one told you, Wanting someone doesn’t make them right. Needing approval isn’t the same as love. A broken boy doesn’t always know how not to break what he’s given.

You find out from a teammate. A dumb comment in the locker room. “Zweig still sneaking off to see her?” someone laughs. “What was her name..tashi?”

“Don’t lie to me, Patrick.” He looks gutted. “I didn’t know what this was—” before you interrupt, “And now?” voice shaking. “Now that I gave you the praise you wanted? Now that I let you in—what the hell is this to you?”

He steps forward. “I chose you. Every time I was with her, I wanted it to be you. That has to mean something—” You flinch like he hit you. “It means nothing,” you whisper. “You lied.” He grabs your hand. “I didn’t know how to be good, but I was trying for you—”

“No,” you say, pulling away. “You were trying to be admired. That’s not love, Patrick.” His eyes shine. “I can fix it. Please.” But you already know the truth.

You wanted to save him. He wanted to be saved. That’s not the same as being ready. You step away from the team at the end of the season.

He tries to call. Tries to text. You delete them all. Your chest aches every time you see his name in the news. He’s still winning. Still beautiful. Still tragic.

But you’ve learned something. Some people need to be left behind—so they can learn what it feels like to stand alone.

And you? You don’t regret loving him. But you regret believing that wanting to be good would ever be enough.

and now you know to never make that mistake as you walk in to meet your new students.

slogging through the AI discourse trenches for any semblance of nuance and idk what i expected considering how people were/still are about self-driving cars or other automated technologies - the idea that we absolutely need a human consciousness [read: laborer] present in particular jobs in order to infuse it with meaning/goodness/morality is such a baffling take. there was this whole trolley problem that people used to pose about self-driving cars to use against their development that went "well what if the car sees a toddler in the middle of the road. and in order to swerve out of the way, it has to hit a teenager on the sidewalk. what would it do???"

??? what would YOU do? what would any driver do? and there's this unspoken argument (or sometimes people say it outright!) that the thing that makes either decision morally "correct" and that rejects the possibility of any "good" self-driving car is "well as a human i would feel guilty and grieve over whatever happens :(" which, again, is not really an argument at all when the actual outcome from a human driver vs program looks identical.

if genAI can produce a simple language translation that comes out identical to a human translation service, or if it produces a piece of clipart someone can throw onto a powerpoint slide, it's not a meaningful argument to say that we need human laborers in those positions because of ideas of "the human creative soul" - by all means do critique the ways that execs are cutting salaries and firing people under the assumption that genAI will "do everything" and then promptly having to hire people back when they realize they have no fucking idea what genAI can and can't do. but like. at the end of the day i do not care about - and courts do not care about - arguments about the human soul

Because if u mean "unless its actually illegal" applies to sexual stuff that's illegal, then first off the law isn't a measure of morality. Please understand that the law isn't a measure of morality and you have your own opinions instead of blindly believing all that is legal is correct and what's illegal is inherently immoral. Gross isn't the only subjective thing, the law is also subjective and depends on where you are. I live in a country where being gay is illegal. Second off, if you mean you don't approve of real situations where people cannot legally consent bcz of age unfortunately alot of countries have laws that allow people under 18 to have sex and (assuming you're from america or at least from a first world western country bcz I've only ever seen americans talk about the law like it's one objective thing and assume that everyone online is talking about the same law as theirs) then unfortunately child marriage is legal in the vast majority of states. Once again proof that the law isn't always moral. If you don't think people should be raping children bcz they're too young to consent, then say that without bringing up the law bcz very unfortunately the law does not always do justice to victims of child sexual abuse bcz in alot of places people under 18 can sadly legally consent. Okay heres my dumbass deltarune theory: What if Susie isn't actually "the girl" in the prophecy?

What if it's Noelle and Ralsei knows?

Okay so point 1) Ralsei knows about the weird route and Noelle's connection to it. The secret mini game in ch3 directly references the weird route, and Ralsei acts super suspicious about it. He says "it could have been trouble". It's heavily implied that Ralsei knows the things required to happen to trigger the snow grave route, and that Noelle is a key part,hence why in ch2 when you say you're going to the festival with Noelle, he flat out says you shouldn't. If you're already on the weird route, in ch4 Ralsei says that the path theyre on "may be worse than the prophecy". In general, whenever you deny actions, go to weird places, (like the secret mini game) or go against Ralsei's suggestions, he starts to tweak out. I think it's because he's aware of the weird route, and fears the player trying to trigger it by going off the games one track story. Noelle herself is 100% a red flag for potential weird routes, hence why Ralsei is so reluctant to have the player interact with anything to do with her.

Bringing me to point 2) Ralsei is really cautious about Noelle. Maybe scared of her. He never interacts with her, probably because in the dark world ice magic is 'evil', so her being a natural ice magic user is 100% a red flag. Again, if you suggest going to the festival with her he flat out says you shouldn't. He very rarely tells you not to do something. If you give Ralsei the thorn ring in chap 2 he says "..." Which he doesn't do with any other item, even the other secret ones. Also, there's a throwaway line in ch3 where Ralsei says he knows exactly what items/weapons of theirs Noelle can equip. Oddly specific information to have about her.

3) Ralsei is so fucking scared of Susie seeing the prophecy in ch4, probably because he was worried it would reveal the truth right in front of her

4) Not a definitive point but, I think it would be narratively fitting that Susie's whole arc of finding purpose in being a part of the prophecy and feeling like she's a part of something would be disrupted by the plot twist that she's actually not part of the prophecy. Her coming to believe in her role in the Quest would all be for nothing, and I can see that fitting in nicely with her character arc

5) If Berdly wasn't Noelle's partner in ch1, she would have been with Kris. Meaning that it would have been them and Noelle tasked to get the chalk, and then and Noelle entering the dark world. Susie wasn't even meant to be there.

Now idk how this explains Ralsei knowing who Susie was at the start of ch1, but my theory is that the weird route IS the main route. It's what they were meant to do from the start. Ralsei knows this, but is attached to Kris and Susie and doesn't want to kill the darkners. He went off script from the moment he introduced ACTing. On the correct storyline Noelle would be there. All members of the party would be puppets of the soul (Ralsei more mentally than literally because he was so agreeable in ch1), which is why in ch4 Kris tries so hard to keep Susie from finding the numbers. Susie isn't even meant to be there and would likely ruin the whole thing for the knight. Because Susie isn't controlled by the soul. When Susie learns to act, unlike Noelle, it's her choosing to. So her role on the party deviates from the prophecy which should be entirely in Kris' control.

I think this is fitting narratively since deltarune seems to be about the perceived lack of choice the player has. I think everytime Kris does something left field or of the beaten path, Ralsei gets scared because Kris' autonomy would trigger the weird route- the correct route- where they are in control.

I don’t know where your mind is where you think you’re “morally correct” as you excuse Aubrey’s actions and make up the worst agruements known to man because why? I can’t overstate how important it is for the witchy community to get this. Even if we think someone else’s methods or beliefs are wrong or ineffective or illogical, we let it be. Why? Because trying to make everyone believe and do The Right Things™️ is essentially the same as proselytizing. It’s saying “hey, the people who taught me had The Right Ideas™️ and you should change your ways so you’re part of The Group That Is Right About Things™️.” I think most of us probably hate efforts by other religions (particularly the ones with a mandate to convert the masses) to correct and save us from the supposed evils of witchcraft, but too many of us don’t see that it’s the same thing and just as bad to try and correct and save each other from “incorrect” witchcraft. It’s just like the Christians who knock on doors and try to convince other Christians to switch churches.

And this also kills attempts to build community. I’ve run a pagan meetup for over a decade, and every few months someone forgets that this is a group which exists expressly to discuss topics from all viewpoints and gets upset that someone else in the group doesn’t share some belief that they consider fundamental to “proper” witchcraft or paganism. Off the top of my head, people have left because someone else asserted that:

Just because science explains an aspect of a phenomenon doesn’t render it non magical

You don’t have to do spells according to the planetary times for them to work

Atheist witches exist and are actual witches

Christian witches exist and are actual witches

Tarot cards are just paper and aren’t inherently special coming out of the printer

Science is real and the universe wasn’t created by a deity

And for most if not all of those people, this came after several meetings where we all generally agreed on things and had great conversations, but these disagreements made them willing to walk away from the community they’d started to become part of.

I get it - it’s easy to feel like people are telling you YOU’RE wrong when you try to correct them and they reject the correction, but that’s not what is happening. Just like when the religious people with pamphlets knock on our doors and we assert our firmly held beliefs and expect them to respect our right to hold those beliefs, we have to do the same with each other. We have to respect that disagreement means the other person is asserting their position and asking us to respect it, and not asking or expecting us to agree.

Not everyone will use components or methods or rituals in the same way. Not everyone subscribes to the same beliefs or traditions or even uses of common materials. Not everyone will do the same sorts of magic or consider the same things integral to their craft.

THIS IS NORMAL AND ACCEPTABLE.

No matter how long you've been studying or practicing or what your level of expertise is, you're going to have to accept that other practitioners will do things differently. It doesn't matter if it matches up with what you believe or what you've been taught. And rather than insisting on one's own infallibility or arguing over points of meaningless minutiae, a prudent witch will take the opportunity to learn something.

(Obviously, this does not apply in situations where one encounters bigotry or predatory behavior or misinformation/disinformation that could cause actual harm. But if you're going to argue with someone over whether the particulars of their craft work the way YOU think they should, you're wasting everyone's time.)

i see a lot of people on this blog talking about smut vs no smut, but I firmly believe that every bl fan falls into one of two camps.

The first one is the group of people that believe smut scenes are simply part of bl; that without it, it's like pancakes without syrup. Fine, enjoyable even given the right pancake recipe, but definitely lacking something. People in this camp can vary in their enjoyment of smut, with some people practically forcing themselves through everything else to get to it, to others simply enjoying it just as much as the rest of the ride.

The other group is made of those who don't believe that smut is an integral part of bl. This camp tends to err on the side of disliking smut. Rather than smut being the syrup on your pancakes, it's like sprinkles on your ice cream. Does it look sparkly and attract a lot of customers? Yes. Does it actually bring anything substantial to the ice cream? No, and it might even disrupt the creamy texture of the ice cream. Like the first group, people in this one can vary in their enjoyment of smut. Some people like it, some are closer to tolerating the scenes when they come along, and others actively avoid it.

My hot take is that camp 2 "should" be correct. And this doesn't have anything to do with purity or the idea that sex is immoral or inappropriate. I myself enjoy smut in various types of media - manhwa, danmei, fanfiction, and even live action bl series. However, I think that one of the main arguments that camp 1 uses to defend their stance is that besides the fact that it can just be enjoyable for the sake of being enjoyable, it's a good insight to the characters, their relationship dynamic, and their development. I don't necessarily disagree, and I think it can be true, just not as often as people seem to think.

The thing is, I believe that if a book is written well, it should be able to communicate those things without smut. A character's personality/development and the way it relates to the other character's personality/development doesn't only show itself through sex. A real human's character is evident in many different scenarios, rather than only when getting down and dirty, so why should it be any different for danmei characters?

If I had to put myself in a camp, it'd be the second one. That said, I have nothing against sprinkles on my ice cream, to bring the metaphor back for a moment. And I have no problem with you if you prefer your ice cream with sprinkles. But I do feel a little icky when anyone starts talking about how you should or shouldn't want them. And if I wished that there were more ice cream that came with less sprinkles, or none at all, that doesn't mean I'm against sprinkles existing as a topping. It only means I don't want sprinkles as a default.

Y’know what this is a completely valid argument and I understand what you’re saying and the analogy is solid.

However… I do believe in the power of a payoff. I’m also old and started my bl journey reading yaoi scanlations and fully support the whole ‘no climax, no point, no meaning’ rhetoric.

I’m more lenient when it comes to danmei because of censorship, though I do favour smut peddling. It’s basically the reason that I’ve never got into manhua. All the manhwa I read is r rated.

I dunno, I just find reading smut really calming.

Im sorry to hijack your post but i had more to say than could fit in the tags.

In my opinion, the year 1 starting salaries being between $30-80k sounded (and were) low for a professional athlete but was somewhat understandable given the newness of the league and where professional women's hockey was with paying players prior to the PWHL.

The 80k (or whatever it is now with the increases) first round contract for PWHL rookies is actually pretty comparable with the WNBA starting salary. Caitlin Clark's rookie contract with the Indiana Fever checks out to be 78k a year. The highest paid player in the WNBA receives about $250k/year, compared to the PWHL'S who tf knows.

The NWSL seems the closest pro women's sports league to making parity with their men's league counterparts. Sophia Smith makes 500k annually, which is probably (?) Four to five times higher than any player salary in the PWHL. Harder to compare rookie contracts though, because the NWSL doesn't release most player salary data and no longer has a draft. We need to pay female athletes more in general, not just in the PWHL.

I would be super interested to see the CBA contract expand in 2032 to radically increase the player minimums beyond what it will be then (this year the minimum was 37.1k, so back of the table math says they'll be at a minimum of 45k at CBA renegotiation time).

This is one of those situations where it would be really good if we had more transparency from the league about their revenues and profit/loss margins. Because I would very much like to know how the league is doing financially, and if we the fans/consumers should be pressuring them to pay players a whole helluva lot more. As it is, I'm glad it seems like they are listening to the players when running things (one of the reasons this expansion has been sooooo messy is because the players now know each others' salaries and a lot of the management decisions on how to run the expansion draft and free agency signings seem to be for the benefit of the players, not the teams themselves, which makes sense because the entire league has one owner so it makes no difference to him.)

I worry about how protective the league is (from an outside perspective) over such data. They don't release revenue info, their decision making bodies are opaque, they don't have a trans player policy which would openly allow trans women on the ice, they could really lean more into queerness the way MLS and NWSL do, and they issue decisions very soon before they go into effect (see: 2025 draft order, which completely changed how they did it from the year before, being released in the middle of FA and a week and change before the draft). The "building the ship while it's flying" energy is a lot less cute in year three than it was in year one when they quite literally were.

Tldr; It has been very nice of the Walters to light money on fire to get this league up and running but yeah, don't worship them. They are still sneaky billionaires avoiding morally correct decisions and transparency for the sake of mass appeal so they can eventually sell the league for $$. This is not a charity to them. While I do think the initial player starting salaries made a certain kind of sense, we should see rapid increases in the minimums if the league is as successful as they say it is.

Oh is that why he won't pay the PWHL players actually fully livable wages? Too busy using that money to buy the Lakers for a dozen billion dollars?

Most biggest problem here is Adler’s mischaracterising, And no I don’t give a f about “interpretation” because i think some people don’t understand what interpretation means atp, with interpretation you work with what you have and add things based on what is given to you. You don’t come up with a whole different meaning for something that a base of is shown to you. And sure as hell It makes no sense to come up with things like Adler being a scientist who was the only person working on bell, Or that he is obsessed with the single mission out of hundreds he did, or whatever.

Yes this one is very harsh but after that interpretation part I literally point about stuff that are canon to the game so

If i need to remind, Adler has no collage degree he canonically enlisted the army at 18 years old, And NO he did not brainwash Bell himself like.

Some of them literally lack reading comprehension too. One day I stumbled upon a video hating on Chuuya. Now I'm a chill person and idc if people shit on fictional characters. I believe when people shit on fandom popular characters they either want to be "different" or have some specific reasons to hate them. Like me when it comes to dazai. I hate him but I never go around making fictional claims and reasons for hating him. I hate him for what he does in canon. And I don't think other people are entitled to hate him too just because I do.

But here's the thing, the problem comes when you make baseless takes on the characters and upload it on the internet without expecting to get counterarguments. Like just as you said those people call sskk toxic and then ship skk. Aka being hypocrites. And when you call them out they say you are the intolerant one and hate on them just because they don't like your favs when all you do is counter argue. They think freedom of speech is only applicable to them.

The video I saw was calling Chuuya selfish for "not" being empathetic towards dazai, punching him in the dead apple manga when Dazai jokes about the Mafia member dying, and Chuuya bowing down to Mori.

When people tried to correct them in the comments by giving contexts they started playing the victim card that they can say whatever they want and that's just their opinion.

But here's the thing, just because it's your opinion that doesn't shield you from getting criticized. If you lack the context and call a character like Chuuya selfish, that he lacks empathy, then it's not hating when people are trying to aware you of the context.

One person commented that Chuuya punched Dazai in that dead apple manga because Dazai jokes about chuuya's friends dying and Chuuya thinks the pm às his family.

And that person replied, well dazai didn't joked about his friends dying he joked about pm members dying. And if chuuya thinks the pm as his family why doesn't he think dazai as his family?why doesn't he help dazai when Dazai's clearly a depressed child?It's because he's arrogant and selfish.

Completely baseless argument. It's later revealed that the six pm members were infact chuuya's friends (didn't SHIBUSAWA said something about killing chuuya's friends?) and second calling someone like chuuya selfish and that he lacks empathy is so hilarious to anyone who had read the age 15 and strombringer light novels.

And lastly, why are we making it sound like it's chuuya's duty to emotionally care about dazai? That he should be his personal therapist? Dazai is not the only traumatized child here. Chuuya is literally the same age as dazai and has horrible trauma of his own. It's not his job to give dazai therapy nor it's Dazai's to give chuuya therapy. Their relationship is not like that. They care for each other but in their own ways. Both of these children are struggling on their own.

And bowing to Mori? That one's such an odd reason to hate chuuya. Their argument was "Mori is such a horrible person how can chuuya bow to him" completely ignoring the fact that no one in the mafia has their hands clean. That person is definitely a hardcore dazai fan so they should know about the crime list of dazai. All of them are horrible criminals bsfr. And the reason chuuya bowed down to Mori was because Mori gave him the answer on how to be an actual leader. Mori from the start was transparent with Chuuya in fact even confession that he did in fact kill the old mafia boss. That's what made chuuya agree to help the pm with the old boss resurrection case.
