Just wanna put Alastor (Hazbin Hotel) and Luffy (One Piece) in a jar and shake them. Just imaging these two chaotic aro ace in the same room brings me so much joy.

I feel like they would viscerally hate each other if they ever had to meet ahah :'D I drew them reacting to their flag instead! I haven't drawn Luffy in a hot minute damn I missed my boi

Now that I think about it, it's funny how similar yet completely different they are. Luffy's whole deal is about smiling, laughing and make people around him happy, while Alastor's whole deal is also about smiling, but he uses it for control, to hide his true emotions and make people around him uncomfortable/second guessing him all the the time.

Luffy is aroace, but still full of love for everyone, he cares so much and shows so much affection, while Alastor is aroace and mostly touch averse, takes a long time to get attached to people and shows very little affection (or maybe has his own definition of affection idk)

And they both have a weird moral code and hate people in power who uses it to exploit the weak?? Not to the same extend ofc but still, that's an interesting trait they share .

imagine the indirect kisses shared over sneaky tastes of each other's drinks and lipstick stains on his glass of negroni – you can certainly feel him placing his broad hand on your thigh as he scopes out the other people in the room. it's a subtle acknowledgement that he's there not only as your companion, but as your guardian too.

think of the kisses that happen as you both lean over the railing, gazing down at the hustle and bustle of the city's nightlife happening on the ground. people start looking like ants ; nothing quite makes you feel as powerful as casting your gaze upon the city below.

you can see how alhaitham changes after a few drinks. he looks dazed – to most, he's the same alhaitham as ever – but he looks slightly off to you. drunk, tipsy, a reddened blush dusting his cheeks as he fans himself, lest he gets too hungry for a certain someone sitting across from him. calm him down, sweetheart ; you're the only ice pack that works. perch yourself sweetly on his lap and lean against his chest, and he'd hold you a little tighter in return.

alhaitham's tie soon comes off, pulled and stretched between his hands as he tenderly wraps it around his bandaged fists, putting it back in his work bag for laundry when he got home. his shirt's topmost button seems to find its way out of its hole – leaving a peek, a glimpse of his chest out for you. place a gentle hand on his chest, drag your finger down the middle lovingly, send a message to others that he's yours.

he stares down anyone else who tries to sneak a glimpse of you at your table. at first glance, alhaitham seems cold – calculative, unchanging – until he brings you into his embrace holding the back of your neck, pressing kisses all over and waiting for yours to make its mark on his cheek – marking him as yours. and you as his.

centuries have passed without him giving them much thought. now, with you in his life, he has some incentive to familiarize himself with the latest developments. he's perhaps the sliiiightest bit insecure that a person born within your century would make for a more fitting partner. he'd sooner remove his own tongue than admit this, though. he conducts quiet research into your interests, starting at what's most pertinent, then moving out.

95% of the time he has no clue why you're into this stuff. ultimately, the 'why' is unimportant. if discussing your silly little interests is what makes you beam in such a dazzling way, please, talk his ear off until the end of time. at first glance, his stoic countenance communicates disinterest. in reality, this couldn't be further from the truth — the man is concentrating. committing every upward twitch of your lips and twinkle in your eye to memory. god, you're so alive and he's smitten. you illuminate every room you happen across.

blade gets irritated if your lectures on the lore of the game you've been playing recently is cut short. he has a one-sided rivalry with your phone. he swears the inanimate object taunts him. why must your friends pester you with their inane dilemmas? he was learning. the subject matter itself is inconsequential, but your mannerisms while elaborating on the subject require close study.

if it's ever relationship issues that your friends seek your counsel for, he offers his cutthroat advice before hearing the predicament's specifics:

"tell them to end the relationship."

there's something about this wanted stellaron hunter giving his two cents on your friend's relationship problems that makes maintaining a straight face impossible...

denji in part 2 is such a great continuation of his character in part 1. being chainsaw man is so important to him because it’s the only way he’s ever gotten to be in a position of status and power. ever since he was a kid, he was forced to do others’ bidding. forced to pay a debt that wasn’t his.

early p1 denji believed that the key to his happiness was some sort of sexual gratification, but his experiences in public safety taught him the value of emotional connection. he learned what it was like to love another person as an equal, as a friend, as family. however, all those dreams shattered when makima broke them apart. he didn’t know what else to do with his life except take on a role of complete submission. he had nothing else.

denji wants to be chainsaw man so bad because he’s already had a family of his taken away from him. normal isn’t enough for him because he knows what it’s like for your normal life to get lost completely. being chainsaw man is all he has left. it’s the only way he can have some sort of control in his life. whether or not it’s the right choice , i don’t know. but control is what he needs.
