So this ask is... over a year old. I am so sorry! I hope you're still around to enjoy!

It's so strange to see Lucifer in the Celestial Realm, with six wings instead of four, talking so freely with Michael, and Simeon, and, well... everyone. This may be your first time seeing him without walls up, and you can't even speak to that side of him yourself.

And there's Mammon, right at his side, unashamed of his admiration of his big brother. You can see it in his eyes. He's a great big brother in his own right, too. You've always known that, but it's nice to see him wrangling Beel, Belphie, and Lilith with a familiar exasperated tone, but a deep fondness in his eyes. Mammon has always loved his siblings.

It breaks your heart to see that Leviathan was insecure even back then. He watches Mammon rounding up the youngest siblings, smiling, but you can see the sadness in his eyes, the same sorrowful glint you sometimes see when he speaks of his time as a general, as a war hero in the Celestial Realm even before the Great War. This time, though, you can't hug him.

You would know Asmo's tone of voice anywhere. You find him defending his latest outing to go party the night away among humans. This time, though, you can't tell Raphael to lighten up, playfully or otherwise.

Poor Beel looks so bored guarding the gates in between escapades with Belphie and Lilith. Normally when he sits with that listless expression, you sit down to talk with him, but you can't do that now.

Eventually, you see Belphie sneaking off to go play among the humans, and you can't so much as ask him to be careful.

The only angel you can speak to is Simeon, who locks eyes with you and blinks, cocking his head.

"Hm? I've never seen you before."

Maybe you have time to tell him everything, but should you? Do you spare him by coming up with a lie, or do you admit to being from the future, and give him some sound advice?

"Enjoy your time with Lucifer, and never give up on him. Never give up on any of them. Change is coming."

Yes, I do! A whole series in fact. Not sure what the overarching title is gonna be, if there is one, but I usually just call it the Hywel Universe. I even have a side blog for it! @hyweluniverse

It's mostly just reblogs of things that remind me of the characters, but you'll find a few mood boards and excerpts there too!

Gonna try not to infodump too much, but my gosh I love talking abt this story and its characters. They're my babies!

It first started when I saw a piece from a 1983 art book by Hayao Miyazaki.

When I saw it, I got a surge of inspiration to write a story about a boy finding a mermaid in a place she normally wouldn't be. That idea became the first book, Hywel and the Mermaid! I've been working on it since freshman or sophomore year of high school and I have the first manuscript done, but it's far too short at the moment, so it's still a work-in-progress!

It's about Hywel Annesly, a thirteen-year-old Welsh printmaker's apprentice who finds a mermaid his age named Runa hidden in a room above his workplace, and he promises to get her back to the ocean she was captured from.

I went in wanting Hywel and Runa's story to be like something from Ghibli (esp Castle in the Sky, my favorite movie ever), but honestly, Hywel and Runa's relationship is more like Jen and Kira's than anything! When writing this story, I take inspiration from many things, esp the books I read as well as movie like The Last Unicorn and others by Ghibli, Jim Henson, and Don Bluth, for example.

The rest of the series follows the lives of the Annesly family as it branches out into other families, from the first book in 1909 to the current last book in 1983. So far the other books are Hywel and the Griffin's Feather (1911, Hywel returning a magic feather that was stolen from a griffin so the griffin can have its powers back), Anita and the Werewolf (1967, a werewolf girl going abroad for college and learning to love the lycanthropic side of herself thanks to meeting Hywel's nephew, Connell), Nico and the Manhattan Manticore (1969, Anita's younger brother struggling to deal with all the changes in his life, and bonding with a captured manticore named Kian along the way), Lonely Jim and the Myth-Protectors (1920s to 1950s-60s, the backstory of Connell's older brother), and Stella and the Skriker (1983, a detective investigating mysterious murders in New York City and reluctantly enlisting Nico's help).

Hmmm... at the moment probably finally giving some personality and backstory to Katya, Axel and Kerry's mother, so now she's more than a dead mom plot point 🤣

I've started writing how she met Salvador, and they're so adorable and fun to write together it makes me so happy and so sad!! 😭

okay, so this is gonna be long and unformatted because i don't have to worry about my dyslexia for this shit. if there's errors, there's errors.

i've purposely been vague about what happened because it wasn't my story to tell in full, but since i have permission from @thr0whands, we're going to air out all of it because this is getting fucking exhausting since you're targeting me of all people who had nothing to do with your original fight with pearl.

buckle up.

so this shit really started sometime last year when evie joined the fandom (yeah, namedrop because i'm fucking tired). i was immediately blocked which is fine, but she told friends of mine that it was because of someone who had abused me years prior. okay, whatever cool.

however, i was suddenly followed by one of her blogs (i probably still have the email notification if you need it). thought it was weird, realized that the abuser i mentioned probably had her spying on me. but whatever, nothing to hide. i'm just vibing. until said person attacked a friend of mine by playing victim in a mistake that she made instead of taking accountability and moving on.

this resulted in a lot of behind the scenes bullshit that i won't get into because it isn't really part of the whole thing. but it boils down to the person admitted to me in asks (which i still have) that she had sent evie to keep tabs on me... in a fandom that this person knew nothing about.

THIS IS WHY EVIE WAS DITCHED. BECAUSE SHE WAS CAUGHT USING PEOPLE TO SPY ON MY BLOGS BECAUSE SOMEONE WHO HAD REALLY DONE A NUMBER ON MY MENTAL HEALTH ASKED HER TOO.

now on to bunny. this one truly wasn't my story to tell, and i wasn't involved until you dumbfucks involved me in it with anons. like? how stupid can you be.

bunny and @thr0whands were literally best friends. however, bunny admitted to pearl that she had feelings for pearl. pearl felt overwhelmed and asked her to take a step back and give her space for just a little bit. just space. not asking to end the friendship, not asking to remove her from her life, nothing.

however, bunny decided to go fatal attraction and spam call pearl who was at work and had told her that she couldn't talk. bunny proceeded to leave a voicemail that confessed how in love with pearl she was and begging to know "why are you doing this to me". it freaked pearl the fuck out.

bunny then decided to go to @sparklebelt and lie to her, not realizing that the three of us are really close. so oreo let us know that bunny was claiming that she and pearl had been together, that they were in a long distance relationship, and that her "online girlfriend" had dumped her. her instagram started filling up with creepy breakup shit.

that is when pearl made the decision to block her.

but, mox, why bring evie up? glad you asked. bunny had apparently told pearl that she was done with evie, wanted nothing to do with her because of the way evie had treated the two of us. evie had gotten really close to pearl and it had turned out to be bullshit and then had stolen from both of us when she got blocked.

turns out, bunny was lying about that too. immediately she was suddenly besties with evie again. leaving us wondering how much of what bunny said was truth and how much of it was bullshit so that evie could keep tabs.

need receipts? all three of us have them.

now onto the "bestie" bullshit. @sparklebelt and i have known each other for almost a decade. we're planning a meet up this fall. we talk every fucking day. we have each other on facebook. just because you don't see us on the dash all the time, doesn't mean shit.

@thr0whands is one of my best friends. we talk everyday, scream about anything and everything, and have talked about meeting up if i ever make it back to canada to visit my sister. we've even talked about the trio of us meeting up at some point when time and funds allow.

why am i now telling you all of this?

because the only power you have is our silence. and you don't get that anymore. you two aren't even in the fandom anymore unless you're hiding under new names and convincing people you're the victims.

so, kindly, fuck all the way off.

So it set after OM and NB and MC is sent to the future in their own realm where stange occurences are happening and the world is not what it used to be.. a knock on the door and Simeon and Raphael are there.

"The end is coming, we dont want our family to fight, you need to stop Lucifer or Michael will."

Finally getting a chance to reply! This is such a good premise for a fic! If you're still around to answer, I wonder what Lucifer has done? Honestly I'm not sure if you're telling me your own idea, or if you want me to come up with a scenario myself. Please let me know! I'll throw out some ideas just i case!

Maybe he or his brothers have had a falling out with Diavolo, and Lucifer isn't going to let Diavolo come between him and his brothers again.

Maybe Lucifer has a newfound desire to exact revenge on his father, or perhaps even Michael, for everything he and his brothers have been through.

Maybe he's been cursed. Either way, I'd say we're in for an incredible battle between some of the most powerful beings in the three realms.

No matter the cause, I think Lucifer will be thinking of his brothers the entire time, but I'd say his brothers aren't enough to stop him (either bc he won't listen, or they're siding with him). That's why Simeon and Raphael need your help. I would suggest enlisting Solomon to keep everyone at bay.

What I've been thinking about lately is this universe has a LOT of sibling angst, and many important characters are pairs of siblings.

There's Anita and Nico, and Nico's feeling of abandonment when Anita, the big sister who'd always been a constant in his life, left and got married not long after the death of their father.

There's Connell and Jim. Jim cares so much for his little brother. Connell wishes he cared enough to stop wandering for a while and stay a little longer.

There's Kerry and Axel, two brothers who just can't agree, but are tied for their love for each other, and for the tragic past they share.

And now that I've developed them, there's also Sirius and Rhys. Rhys will do anything to save his brother from the mess he's gotten into, even if it means Sirius has to watch the light that his little brother once was go out.
