Thing-a-Week 46: Tres Angry Bois (alternatively, Dos Angry Bois and a Moth)

Back in October, I was working on a lot of stuff involving soft cryptids. So I figured it was about time I drew some decidedly un-soft cryptids. We're all about balance here.

Been doin’ a lotta fun D&D planning, and I’m working on little mini-profiles for all the NPCs. Kept these kinda lose and sketchy ‘cause I’m gonna do like a final ink on paper, paint them, and put ‘em all in a notebook. So these are the first citizens of Blightfort that the gang’s gonna meet!

Thing-a-Week 39: Nice Poker Face

Last week, my family started our first D&D campaign, DM’d by a family friend, and it was a blast! There are a few Choice moments from our session, but this one specifically really started us off on a high note.

There’s one more character that hadn’t joined the party at the time of this bit (sorry, Mom!), so I guess I’ll just have to draw her up later. :^)

Thing-a-Week 52: On the Wrong Side of Town

I wanted to make this one a bit more personal. Back in June, my two best friends and I managed to secure a reservation at Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland, and it remains some of the most fun I’ve had at the park. On our way out, we had a little run-in with the First Order -- apparently, they had a problem with my choice of fashion. I couldn’t tell you why.

I’ve been putting this one off for a while, ‘cause finishing stuff is scary, and the idea of this being the last piece in a year (or so) worth of Things is a weird amount of pressure to bring to something that was supposed to have very little pressure put on me. I only planned to do a year of these, though, so it is, in fact, the end, and now it’s time to look forward to bigger and better things. And probably still a lot of fanart, but other stuff too.

Thing-a-Week 48: Wish You Were Here!

Again, I've been doing a lot of planning and drawing for the homebrew campain I'm DMing for my friends, and I'm making postcards for some of the locations to practice drawing backgrounds and environments. I've got all the drafts done, so all that's left for next week is to trace them onto watercolor paper and paint the suckers.

The biggest problem with posting most of them is that they're spoilery, and all of the players follow me. This one, however, is fair game!

Thing-a-Week 30: Coming to a Galaxy Far, Far Away, May 31

The Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opening day was revealed recently, and it’s four days after my twentieth birthday. You know, like the things adults think about?

I’m not gonna lie, I didn’t think I was gonna have the mental capacity to do anything Just For Me this week. Between volunteer and portfolio work, and my day job, it’s been a stressful week and a half. But I wanted to do something small and fun, and honestly, it really helped me clear my head.
