Ok as someone with a longstanding special interest in scooby doo, I feel qualified to pitch an actual "real" reboot. They're poly, in a qpr, and instead of solving random mysteries, people come to them to help solve crimes that the police have brushed off. They're Benoit Blanc except they're four people and they have a dog. Scooby can still talk, somehow
Wild that Phantom of the Opera is closing after 35 years on Broadway but I think the best adaptation of the Gaston Leroux novel is Scooby Doo! Stage Fright, specifically this scene:
Birthing this Scooby Doo specific blog with fanart for Be Cool because I needed to draw their goth fits, they were simply too much of a vibe to not tbh
instead of hate-watching the velma show on hbo max right now, might i suggest watching The Solve-It Squad Returns! (2017) for free on youtube!
the solve-it-squad is a one-act play exploring precisely what an “adult scooby doo”™️ would look like! and unlike velma, it’s absolutely hilarious and crafted with love. i cannot recommend it enough!
