A quick summary
after being scared out of the fenced in area, i went back in. i wandered around a bit with Varona, looking for any pokemon. It was eerily quiet, but after about half an hour i saw... something. A blue and black canine pokemon the size of a houndstone, if not larger. it had no pupils, but just stared at me, long and lanky. it growled. it ran. It was unlike anything i had ever seen before. it was breathtaking. i went back to the town and demanded someone tell me what the FUCK that was.
the laboratory appeared almost 30 years ago, when people were really starting to learn more about the dexes of other regions.
sociu did have a lot of wild pokemon once, but they started to become scarce 30 years ago. that dog is one of them, and all i could get them to say is that i am lucky i escaped alive.
i asked them what the lab was for. they said nothing. i asked what otherwild pokemon sociu had. they said nothing. i went back to my motel room. i didn't sleep. i walked outside. i did not hear the nincada chirp. there were no nincada. i think i was drunk. i woke up tangled in a fence with scraped knees and dried blood on my face.
according to this hard drive that was in my pocket, there are 50 pokemon on sociu that no one knows about but fucking silph.

who?: @corvinxs where?: uh the dark stable where the beasties are tied up idk
Tumblr media
Sinbyrn stands before one of the dark creatures, admiring the wild way it bucks against its bindings due to her presence. She'd prefer one that had an unruly spirit with enough strength to slaughter foes on its own, one that only bent its head for her. Of course, she had practiced no particular taming skill during her years being trained by the priesthood and still saw no real value in the practice. However, she was also not going to entirely remove herself from the selection process of her mount. "You responded so promptly to my summons. I'm impressed," she patronizes, viewing Amadeus' talent for beasts and his very presence was beneath her. "I do believe a dedicated mount will suit me, and I want to not only make the best selection but bring them to heal myself." This time when the nearby beast lunges again, Sinbyrn is quick to cast a sharp web of shadows, lashing the beast cruelly until pulls from her. Only then does she approach, petting it now that it understands that it should only look upon her in fear. "This one is no good, but you'll work with me to find one of suitable status for me. I want to look regal as I lead my unit into the Otherwilds."

LGBTQ+-Run Clothing Shops
In honour of pride month, here are a few LGBTQ-run businesses where you can buy your pride gear or just support year-round!

Tumblr media
x
FLAVNT - FLAVNT is a clothing brand run by two twins named Chris and Courtney Rhodes. Chris is a trans man, and Courtney is a wlw. Their shop sells a variety of t-shirts with LGBTQ-friendly slogans, accessories (including pronoun buttons), and binders in a variety of different skin tones. They are based in Austin, and even offer a partnership programme to help trans people fund their transitions!

Otherwild - Founded by a queer-identifying woman named Rachel Berks, Otherwild has an online presence as well as brick-and-mortar stores in New York and Los Angeles. In addition to supporting independent artists like her partner A.L. Steiner, Rachel’s company prides itself on its ethical labour practices, ethical material sources, and eliminating single-use plastics from their shelves. In addition to clothing and accessories, they also sell bath supplies and housewares.

NerdyKeppie - This small business is owned by Mandy Perry and their partner Steve, both of whom are Jewish and use they/them pronouns! This shop specialises in unique pride flag merch for every flag (and I do mean every flag. They take custom orders), as well as activist slogans, geekery (usually with an LGBTQ or social justice edge) and Judaica.

Stuzo - Stuzo is owned by two black women named Stoney Michelli and Uzo Ejikeme, who are married. They pride themselves as having a “genderless” clothing brand, often using gender-nonconforming models of colour on their website to show off their designs. In addition to the LGBTQ slogans on their clothing, they also have black empowerment slogans such as “Black Magic” and “Black AF”

Autostraddle - This is the merch store for the online magazine of the same name. It focuses on bringing together LGBTQ women as well as nonbinary people and giving them a voice. When you buy from them, not only are you giving money to a company that directly supports queer creators, you’re also supporting a platform that gives them a voice. Pretty neat!

NiK Kacy - A bit of a different apparel shop, but cool nonetheless. If you’re in the market for some gender neutral fancy footwear (or other leather accessories), NiK Kacy has you covered! It was founded by Nik Kacy (who is genderfluid) and sells all of its designs in a broad range of sizes, from a US women’s 3.5 to a men’s 14! Nik’s shoes are NOT cheap (the dress boots pictured will set you back $260), but they’re stylish and appear to be pretty well-made.

Artifex Detroit - This queer-owned business makes upcycled, durable accessories from the upholstery and seatbelts of junkyard cars in Detroit, Michigan. Creator Wendee Magi is dedicated both to recycling what materials she can and buying her supplies from local businesses.

x (the text is hard to read, but it says “destroy”)
dfrntpigeon - This is a Portland-based company that is run by at-risk youth (especially LGBTQ youth and PoC) from the Portland area. According to them, their business aims to change the perception of homeless youth and help its participants grow their creative and administrative skills. The youth are mentored by professionals with experience in the creative field. Also one of the designers’ profiles reads “aspiring cat” and that’s valid as fuck.

Tumblr media
x
Cult Party - A feminist, queer-run brick-and-mortar store in NYC with a significant online presence. Cult Party is run exclusively by women, which is pretty dope. In addition to selling apparel, housewares, and witchy stuff, they also host a wide variety of events, including a “weirdo painting class” and tarot readings. A lot of their products are reproductive system-focused, but they also have a “no TERFs” pin on their instagram page, so they seem to be trans-inclusive.

Tumblr media
x
Androgynous Fox - I can’t confirm who the founder of this brand is, since their name is nowhere to found, but they describe the purpose of Androgynous Fox as “Clothing for the androgynous and non-binary population,” and all of their clothing is marketed to all genders, so that’s pretty cool! I personally enjoyed a lot of their designs, so that’s why they’re on this list, but I really can’t confirm if they’re actually LGBTQ-run or not.

Wildfang - This company was founded by two former Nike employees by the names of Emma McIlroy and Julia Parsley, both of whom wanted a place where DFAB folks with a masc fashion sense could find clothes that actually fit their body. The result was Wildfang, a clothing brand that focuses on “tomboy” fashion and feminist messaging. Also, their patterned button-up line would make Tan France and Hayley Kiyoko infinitely proud.

Queer Supply - A Toronto-based clothing brand focused on ethically-sourcing its materials and celebrating the work of queer artists. They appear to launch in waves, focusing on one or two specific creators every time they do. Right now, they’re focusing on Kit (”Fuck your gender binary”) and Sade Patlele (”Magic black femme”)

Rebirth Garments - Clothing designed and made by Sky Cubacub, a disabled, queer, nonbinary person. Their styles focus on being inclusive to folks of all sizes, genders, and abilities, but they explicitly focus on disabled, non-cis, and non-white people. If you love bright, neon colours and geometric patterns, this is the place for you! The majority of Rebirth’s inventory can be found on their Etsy page.

Haute Butch - Another tomboy brand! This one was actually the result of a Kickstarter back in 2015, with the focus on making a brand specifically for butch women, DFAB nonbinary people, and trans men. Unlike the more androgynous styles on this list, Haute Butch carries masculine clothes designed to better fit a DFAB body, which is nice if you’re smol like me. They carry accessories usually targeted to men, such as cufflinks and tie clips, and even offer bespoke suit fittings!

Seven Even - Named for the 7 letters in the words “lesbian” and “rainbow” as well as the concept of equality, Seven Even is the brainchild of Gena Pecoraro, a gay woman. She started the company to help unify the LGBTQ community and give back to nonprofits. Seven Even’s dog products benefit Gays for Strays, an LGBTQ outreach project for Save a Pet animal rescue and $5 from every purchase is donated to the onePulse Foundation.

Revel & Riot - Once again, I can’t find too much information on who runs this organisation, but they identify themselves as LGBTQ-run on the website., Their designs are unabashedly political, and a portion of their proceeds go to LGBTQ-focused nonprofits such as The Ali Forney Center and The Human Rights Campaign. They even have pages dedicated to Definitions, LBTQ Art History, and many others.

Point 5cc - This brand was founded by Aydian Dowling, a transgender speaker and advocate! On top of just generally making really cool trans-positive shirts, some of the profits go to Point of Pride, which has an Annual Transgender Surgery Fund and uses their donations to give trans people access to breast forms and binders. Also, the name (.5cc) is a reference to the amount of hormones a person on HRT receives in a single dose.
This is all the ones I was able to find. If you know of any other LGBTQ-run businesses (or are an LGBTQ business owner), feel free to reblog and add more information!

Otherwild The Future is Female Sweatshirt  “Hell-Wizard” 5x08
Available for $60 at Otherwild.com. We have seen Tatiana Maslany wear Otherwild before as well. Love that a male character got to wear this message on the show!
The original “The Future Is Female” T-shirt design was made for Labyris Books, the first women’s bookstore in New York City, which was opened in 1972 by Jane Lurie and Marizel Rios. The photographer Liza Cowan took a picture of musician Alix Dobkin, her girlfriend at the time, wearing it in 1975. The photograph was done for a slide show she was working on called: "What the Well Dressed Dyke Will Wear."
This slogan has lasted through the decades and is reemerging as an empowering statement for all, as female-identified bodies and rights remain under attack. Inflexibile and compulsory sexual and gender binaries are used to oppress and deny people their humanity and agency. Otherwild believes in an inclusive, expanded and fluid notion of gender expression, identities and feminisms. We support liberation, embrace our trans sisters and brothers, and call for the end of patriarchal ideology, domination, oppression and violence. We believe that “The Future is Female” is the past, the present and the future, and is language that resonates.
25% of sweatshirt sale proceeds donated to Planned Parenthood.
