WHY IS THE MASTER KOKO OR WHATEVER IT'S CALLED TRIAL SO DIFFICULT???

Ok, I'm gonna run through my exact thought process as I was playing. First of all, I wanna add that it was like... 8 pm when I got to this part which is close to when I get ready for bed, but I was thinking, "No, I could play this a little bit more, it's still early enough"

So I climb the tower pretty easily which is great because I was having trouble with some previous ones and I start the trial and as it's loading, I'm wondering what exactly it's gonna be. But you know, I'm not expecting anything too hard based on the previous trials. Probably just another times fight against some enemies, you know?

And then I see Giganto and I just go "Oh... oh no... Do I at least get the music?" And then Undefeatable started playing so I felt a little better. So I continue on, fighting Giganto and I'm thinking, "Yeah, this isn't that bad. I'm enjoying myself."

I defeat Giganto and it gets to the loading screen and I'm sitting there just thinking. "That was easy. You know, as long as that's all I had to do and they're not gonna make me fight the other titans. Right? They wouldn't make me fight the other titans. If I have to fight the other titans I will cry."

And then we loaded into the next level where you have to fight Wyvern. And it settles in. I have to fight all the titans, don't I? And I don't get to refill my rings in between. I only had a bit over 100 rings so I knew I wasn't gonna be beating Wyvern, and if I did there's no way I'd beat the Knight afterwards. It's also while I'm fighting Wyvern that I think to myself, "There's no checkpoints, are there"

And then I died and learned that unfortunately, I was correct and there are no checkpoints. I retried the trial and ended up in front of Giganto again. And that's when I had to turn the game off for the night since it's getting late and I have things to do tomorrow.

So that's where I'm at with the game as of now. Please don't tell me about anything after this trial, I don't want any spoilers. And normally I don't post about spoilers while I'm in the middle of something because I don't want to risk people commenting spoilers, but I just had to ramble about this because it just about broke me.

As a side note: I'm still having fun with the dlc, but it is also extremely frustrating, which you know, was how I felt about the base game so I guess it checks out.

the songs on the bracket have been finalized and i'm working on the bracket right now!

originally my plan was to put songs against each other by both the time they came out and their popularity to give lesser known songs a chance against some of the super notable classics, but i've been seeing a post go around about matchups that are final round worthy happening round one. while i don't think it's anything worthy of any major (or minor) backlash, i do have to agree that having more challenging matchups so early on can lead to a bit of an anticlimactic ending

the way the bracket is set up now, there's no way to avoid several major matchups so early on (ex :: rolling girl vs. matryoshka or world is mine vs. triple baka)

as much as i want to give songs that might not be as well known a chance (especially considering some only got in w one nomination via a random number generator), i also don't want some of what i at least consider to be the most well known songs to be disqualified round one. those songs are popular and well loved for a reason and i genuinely think they should also have a chance to make it to the end. round two at the very very least

i'll make a bracket for each possibility so it can go up when the pool closes, so please vote for whichever one you think would be the most fun !
