zalgo taking care of a sick male!reader who doesn't take care of himself.

warnings: lazari is mentioned bc i refuse to accept the fact that zalgo is a deadbeat dad, very brief mention of murder it isn't important, mention of vomit, uh... mentions of eyes, it's actually all very tame and light.

He does not understand anything about sickness in general. What do you mean you're sick? No. You can't be. He's terrible at taking care of things.

Fully under the assumption that you'll be taking care of yourself because he doesn't know the first thing about caring for others. He's already trying his best by being a dad and your 'boyfriend', as the mortals would call it.

Lazari also never gets sick due to the whole 'daughter of Zalgo' thing so like... he literally has no idea how human sicknesses and diseases work, it's a mystery to him.

So he isn't immediately worried when he sees you not resting, simply because he just assumes that's what all humans do. His perception of human behavior is heavily based on how you behave.

However, once he sees that you're taking a while to get better, Zalgo definitely starts to piece two and two together and realizes that, no, humans most certainly should not be walking around and working while they are sick. His human is just stubborn.

Precious, while you look rather handsome like this, perhaps it would be best if you sat down and rested for a bit.

He'll try to be nice about it because he's a good boyfriend for someone so evil but if you continue refusing care, he won't hesitate to force it upon you. He won't feel bad about it either, because he's doing this for you.

While he won't possess you, per se, he will definitely influence you if you make this harder than it has to be.

He understands that your sickness is common amongst mortals so he isn't going to force you to go to a doctor to receive care. He'll only do that if you get worse, but you're in his care! And he's not going to do anything that'll make your condition worse.

Once he decides that he'll have to care for you himself, it's a full day of research for him. He can't just go in blind, no, what if he accidentally gives you something that'll make you worse? And he takes the research very seriously.

Personally, I imagine him wearing librarian glasses and slowly typing on a really old computer while chewing on some gum but realistically he probably just... possesses some poor soul and uses their body long enough to learn what he needs to know before disposing of them.

Now that he's acquired all the knowledge he needed to know, he actually does a rather good job at caring for you.

He won't be disgusted or anything if you throw up or anything like that either because I mean... he has seen much grosser things so a little human being sick doesn't bother him at all.

He makes sure you're hydrated and he makes sure you take medication when you need to. He can't cook to save his life but he can influence people to cook for you so! He'll just randomly show up with neatly packed food for you. He won't lie to you if you ask where the food came from. I mean, you know that he's not a good guy. He's not even human. You signed up for this, so you shouldn't be surprised.

Eyes. Eyes everywhere. When he can't be there physically, he always makes sure a part of him is left behind so he can monitor your condition to make sure you're actually resting when he's gone.

And on the very, very rare occasion where he can't monitor your condition himself, he'll leave Lazari with you. She can't get sick, and she knows more about human care than Zalgo does, so.

He'll be very relieved once you're better. No offense, he's just not that good at being, well, good.

A rough of how my persona would fit into the spiderverse.

I've got two concepts for how she would function: the first would be as listed, a weaker human form and an op though commonly considered grotesque shifted form; the second being a generic spider man human form, but a were-drider villian form. Idk how that would play out story-wise, so I've basically only entertained the first concept.

As a human witch with a strong affinity for spiders, she would communicate with them for all kinds of reasons from collecting resources and information to caretaking or painbringing. Her magical power grew beyond her control causing this wicked yet unintended effect.

It's hard enough for the various spidermen to hide their identities normally, and this new body doesn't help. In vigilante mode, she must also hide her drider form from public view to avoid general panic. At least she has some extra tricks up her billowing mage sleeves until she can catch her quarry where the weak of heart can't find.

Woehounds

The Fallen Sons of Khorne

There are few things a Bloodthirster fears and almost none of them involve battle and it's consequences. Kharneth's fury is about the only thing that can make even the proudest of Deathbringers crawl under the nearest skull pile, but being fated to become a Woehound is a close second. The Prince's Realm and his Pleasure Daemons do not only capture Mortals for their sordid games. Daemons are on offer as well, with a special place reserved for Khorne's Greatest Sons.

Bloodthirsters who fall within Slaanesh's realm may be taken and restrained, where the insidious magics of the rings change them from beasts of Khorne into creatures more fit to wear to the Prince's colors and titles. Commonly, these are the Circles of Vainglory and Indolence, the former choked with strangling vines and the latter from sleep-inducing sands. Over a lengthy period of time, the Bloodthirster will transform in a Woehound. Also called Painbringers, these lumbering bovine beast sport skin of lavender and their temperaments are far more mellow compared to proper Bloodthirsters.

They are still surly beast, still dangerous, and rather uncommon; it isn't unusual to see to see a troupe of daemonettes trailing after one. It isn't unusual to see that same group of daemonic handmaidens be viciously saved in turn, either. Sisterhoods of daemonettes may harangue the beast at their own peril, but only the Keepers or especially daring Heralds have the temerity to capture and keep a Woehound. There are many reasons for this, with the most common one being status. Like any rare hound, they show off the owners prestige in owning such a creature.

But Woehounds are never tame and a pleasure daemon may here the odd tale or two of a careless Keeper being savaged by their beloved 'pet'. For Bloodthirsters, the Painbringers are an affront to their existence and considered abominations. Perhaps with even more fervor and hatred towards them, than any Slaaneshi, Bloodthirsters destroy Woehounds without hesitation, and in doing so, salvage some of their kin's honor.

But this is no easy task. Painbringers retain their strength from their time in the Blood Legions and often heavier from a life of indolence and grazing on the sweet grasses over the realm. They often outweigh their brass-skinned kin considerably and fight with a sadistic zeal akin to their new neighbors. Indeed, many Bloodthirsters fall prey to this fate whilst trying to "restore" the honor of a fallen brother.

Repurposing of Greater Daemons

Slaanesh is perhaps the only god who engages in the practice of Repurposing his Rival’s daemons. As the youngest and weakest of the four, the Prince is constantly searching for any edge he can get over his much more established siblings and while he isn’t particularly bothered about being wasteful or impractical, it would be simply foolish not to make use of Greater Daemons trapped in his realm.

Better, it kills several birds with one stone, providing stimulation for his daemonettes as well as allowing them to learn and experiment with weak points in the anatomy of their rivals. Since Kharneth is the most openly hostile and often the one visiting destruction on the outmost ring, Slaanesh values Bloodthirster and Great Unclean ones over Lords of Change, as they can actually do battle with the Bloody Legions. That is not to say Lords of Change do not have their uses, but these usually involve the kitchens and feasts and not so much the battlefield...

Bloodthirsters, properly marinated in the Prince’s corruption, become Painbringers or Woehounds. A Bloodthirster’s will is not a thing easily broken and the most rowdy of the Deathbringers are frozen in marble until battle, laced in spiderweb-like cracks that glow with fiery rage. More manageable Woehounds are allowed to wander, where they graze and partake of the skull-fruit in Slaanesh’s realm. They are often flanked by fascinated Daemonettes and Keepers, who can scarcely get too close to a normal Bloodthirster outside of battle. However, these daemons are still not friendly and will grow irritated and amble away if bothered.

Great Unclean Ones become Gardeners or Musk Lords, scoured of their filth and bleeding instead the soporific scent all Slaaneshi do. They are set to tend to the fields and the gardens of Slaanesh’s realm when not in battle, eating any corpses they find to make the principality spotless. Moderately disfavored daemons of Slaanesh are responsible for keeping their hides clean at all times, for while they are useful the Prince will not suffer them to be unclean any longer.

Lords of Change become the center piece at the next feast. Slaanesh always lays claim to the Dark Meat of a Tzeentchian Greater Daemon.
