Muphit, Felted Shambler

Creatures of strange forms linger in the soft spots where the Shadowfell and the Feywild both spill into the material plane at once. These places are like overripe fruit, sweet and aromatic yet lingering on the precipice of decay. Some dark entity may have hoped these locales would disgorge lethal abominations upon the world. They were half right. The two forces didn't merge, they cancelled each other out. The residue of this reaction did form living creatures, all seemingly powerful yet ultimately ineffective. They were, in essence, magic and nature's cruelest and most poorly-workshopped joke. The Muphits.

The Felted Shambler is one such creature. It is a vaguely frog-shaped humanoid, standing approximately 3 feet tall. Its outer skin is a felt-like mass of packed fibers that hold moisture and resist fire. Triangular growths of this material sprout from its neck and various patches on the limbs. They can be green, blue, red, or purple.

Born of the merging of the wild spirit of buffoonery and the essence of assassination, the Felted Shambler perceives all humanoids as its contracted targets, both in terms of entertainment and extralegal assassination.

As such, so long as it is observed the Felted Shambler is compelled to act out comedic sketches, songs and dance routines. It will do so with the assistance of other muphits if they are available.

The moment the shambler is no longer being watched by a sapient humanoid being, it immediately lunges for the nearest person with intent to strangle. If it falls into a person's field of view while lunging it will immediately snap back into comedic behavior. If it continues to be unseen, it will grasp its target's neck and begin to choke.

At this point, observing the creature will not deter it from using its unnatural strength. Fortunately, the felt shambler's strength is only unnatural in that it exists at all. Otherwise, its grip strength is exactly what is expected from damp living felt: 1/16th that of a human infant.

This will continue, with the creature making increasingly louder and more frustrated grunts of effort, until it tuckers itself out (usually 1-2 minutes) or the 'victim' makes eye contact for 2-3 seconds. In either case the shambler becomes visibly uncomfortable and retreats while doing improv.

Okay so I have been PINING after these heart glasses that zenni kept saying wouldn't work with my pupilary distance but I realized yesterday that the reason it wouldn't let me order these glasses is because I was putting in a dual PD instead of a single PD and when I put it in as a single number it let me try to buy them so I will be using the money my parents gave me for my birthday to buy these fuchsia heart glasses with pink migraine + progressive lenses the SECOND I get my new prescription on the 18th! Look at them!!!

Currently my only functional pants I can wear outside the house are hot pink too. Don't mind me waiting at a bus stop in my custom made black leather jacket, black metal band t shirt I modified myself, hot pink pants I sewed myself, and hot pink heart shaped glasses, along with my hot pink mohawk that shows off my scalp tattoo

I know there are people out there who will judge me for dressing like this but you know what! I'm like if punk was pink and I'm happy with that.

Hello!! How are you today? 

This month has being a mess in posting poses. I know I said I was going to post the poses of the month last week but I couldn't for reasons that were out of my hands at home (constant power outages and a lot of rain that got inside my house 🙂)  and I had to deal with it 😫. Fortunatelly it was nothing about my mental health (I'm a lot better now, and I hope it stays like that) and it was not so bad (just some cleaning and worries).

I have the poses ready to post but I don't wanna post them all today (as it is the last day of the month), so I will going to publish them at the begining  of this next month (beside some other poses).

So I appologize for not publish a lot of poses this month but I couldn't.

Smol Oneshot: First Fight

Author's Note: Well since I'm on my computer, I'll share this old thing I wrote years ago from my documents. I am still trying to figure out what I want Jennie (OC) and Jungkook's first fight as a couple to be. But it will happen in 2017. I do plan to put this in my story. I may add on and modify it as well. Let this hold you! :)

The members selected to go bowling and Jungkook decided to join. But while there, he was scowling the whole time and watched the game instead of joining like he would normally do. Adjusting the black cap on his head, he angrily glanced at Namjoon and Angelina, who were acting all mushy together. 

The Golden Maknae rolled his eyes. This was a bad idea. Why did he come here? This would only make him madder since he didn’t have his girl with him. It irked him to see happy couples around. He glanced at the empty seat next to him. That seat was supposed to be for Jennie. But a few days ago, they had their first fight as a couple.

Jungkook was frustrated. This was his first serious relationship and he didn’t know how to handle the situation. Some things were said, and things got heated during their argument. But despite all of that, he still loved her dearly and lowkey wished that she would apologize first so they could move on. Jennie probably felt the same way, hoping he would apologize since they both were as stubborn as ever. Jennie had a mouth when she got upset. She remained firm and voiced her opinion until she said what she had to say in their argument. She wasn’t one to back down so easily. She tried her best not to lash out and had trouble keeping her mouth shut but he kept pushing her buttons. And she kept pushing his.

Were relationships always this hard?

You feel like everything is perfect but after one fight, you feel like your world is crashing down and things may come to an end. 

Do all couples deal with fights like this?

How do couples overcome issues like this?

Were they freaking out over nothing and things will be back the way they were soon?

Sure, they bicker from time to time and have disagreements but it was never this bad. The day after their fight, the members noticed the tension, right away. The 95 Liners freaked out, worried to death when they didn’t see JenKook together. It startled everyone to see that they hadn’t said a word to one another. Their managers and Bang PD were even concerned.

JenKook began to ignore each other, keeping their distance. But over time, the members would regard the couple stealing glances at one another, unmistakably indicating that they missed each other. All Jungkook wanted to do was hold and kiss her but he assumed that she was still mad at him.

Having enough, Jungkook snapped at Angelina and Namjoon after seeing them kiss. “Can you two stop kissing in front of me like that!? I didn’t come here for a friggin’ show!”

His sudden shout prompted the members to stare at him, startled. The Golden Maknae immediately got scolded by a few of his hyungs for how he was acting.

“Unnecessary! Apologize, right now! That was so rude of you," Jin said with a disappointed look. 

Angelina frowned, understanding what he had said in Korean. It was clear that Jungkook was hurting. She knew he didn’t mean it. He just wanted Jennie, and she was damn sure that Jennie was hurting as well and wanted him, too. 

She thought about their conversation earlier today.

“Are you seriously not going to bowl with us? So, what are you gonna do? Stay in the hotel all day? Girl, if you don’t join us.” Angelina exclaimed, crossing her arms in front of Jennie who was seated on her bed.

“I just don’t want to go. I don’t feel like bowling, okay?” she responded.

“Is this because of your boyfriend?” 

From the look on Jen’s face, she was right.

Jennie didn’t want to upset Jungkook even more, so she decided to give him space until they cooled down. Seeing him so upset during that fight broke her heart and Jungkook felt the same, seeing her so upset with him.

Jen admitted that she was scared. This was their first big fight and she was wondering how they would recover from this. She did not want to give up on him and she refused to allow her relationship with him to end over a fight. 

As time went on, all she wanted to do was hug and show him how much he meant to her but she still stayed away, assuming that he didn’t want to speak with her anytime soon.

“I seriously think that you two need to be locked in a bedroom, together. Nothing like love and physical affection after you two finally decide to talk it out~.” Angelina teased, hoping to get some type of reaction out of her but it didn’t work. “Okay, but seriously. You two should really talk it out.”

Angelina also reminded Jennie that she felt the same. She felt frustrated and furious with Namjoon but Jen had helped her when they had their first fight. 

“I was this close to breaking up with Namjoon. But who talked some sense into me and gave me advice? You. You gave me a long ass pep talk and you told me that communication is key. Remember? This time, follow your own advice. Communicate with your man. Things will be OK.”

Jungkook stood up and grumbled. “I’m leaving...”

Watching him storm off, Namjoon sighed and rubbed his temples while Hobi said, “I did not think it was this bad.”

“All right, we are fixing this ASAP! Jimin and I did not spend months trying to get Jennie and Jungkook together only for it to end over a bad fight. We gotta do something!” Taehyung suggested.

“Yeah! My heart is aching over this! This is not supposed to happen!” Jimin whined.

And they did as the members forced JenKook to go out to dinner with them the next evening. No matter what excuse they made, everyone made sure to drag them to dinner. It was so weird to not have JenKook drive everyone crazy with their goofy antics and not seeing them so close. Things needed to go back to normal.

Being sly at dinner, Taehyung and Jimin, made the couple sit across from each other at the table. Everyone watched their every move, noticing the accidental touches when they were getting food. Throughout the night, the Golden Couple would unintentionally brush their feet and legs against one another. The endless staring and averting of their eyes also amused the members.

“I saw that.” Jimin sipped his drink.

“I did too,” Hobi murmured.

“Mm-Hm,” Taehyung added.

After dinner, the members went roller skating to pass the time. Jen was glad that she went because it was hilarious to see everyone falling on their asses and bumping into people. It had been a while since she went roller skating, and as she skated around, she ended up losing her balance and prepared for the worst.

Abruptly, her Golden Boyfriend came to her rescue, catching her just in time. It was like he had been watching her, making sure she was safe ever since she put her skates on. Feeling his warm hands on her skin, gave her that strong urge to hug him as he helped her balance and stand on her feet.

His eyes showed concern and tenderness as he murmured, “You all right?”

After she told him she was fine, he went on to skate ahead and she realized how much she missed him. She finally decided that she was going to pull him aside and ask to talk about their fight in private after they were done skating. No more being stubborn about this.

Minutes later, it was Jungkook that had fallen on the floor thanks to Hobi accidentally bumping into him. Seeing a pair of skates by his legs, Jungkook looked up to see Jennie extending her hand. It seemed like she was trying not to laugh at how “gracefully” he fell. That smile she was fighting warmed his heart as he took her hand.

After helping him up, she said, “Be careful,” before skating away.

Once she was done skating, Jen exchanged her skates for her shoes, thinking of how she should approach Jungkook. She then noticed that he was exchanging his skates as well when she turned in his direction. 

“Babe, can we please talk?”

“Honey, can we please talk?”

They both said simultaneously. Hearing them use one of their names for each other made their hearts flutter. It was moments like that where they could never remain mad at each other.

“I guess we were both thinking the same thing.” he smiled softly, rubbing the back of his neck.

“I wanted to speak with you privately about our fight. We should sit down and talk about it.”

“Yeah. Let’s walk back to the hotel to talk. Get away from the public.” he gently grabbed her hand, walking her outside.

What they both wanted to do was sit down, talk about the argument, resolve it, and move on so they could be happy again. It seemed like they were about to move in the right direction to make up.

“Hey, look! They’re leaving together!” Taehyung happily announced.

Jimin, getting so excited while skating and watching them leave, smacked himself against the wall and fell. Loud laughter was heard from the members as they teased him. After pulling themselves together, they sat down, discussing JenKook.

“Finally talking like adults. About time.” Angelina sighed out of relief.

“Should we head back, too? Should we really leave them alone like that? Don’t you think we should make sure they’re fine?” Jin suggested.

“No way!” Taehyung exclaimed. “We’re staying here!”

“Nah, leave them alone,” Yoongi responded.

“They’re fine and besides those kids need some serious alone time,” Namjoon added. “Let them get it all out of their systems and talk it out.”

The 95 Liners glanced at each other with knowing looks and giggled to themselves.

“Yeah, let them talk it out.” Taehyung went on, nudging Jimin.

“Yeah, talk,” Jimin responded sarcastically with an amused look.

Eleinomae

Known as marsh nymphs, eleinomae are quite cruel fey. Despite their moniker, they are often found in rivers and similar bodies of water as well as marshes. They are quite a bit more dangerous than the naiads that they share an environment type with, able to bond with larger bodies of water than naiads, and will bully their weaker sisters when they have the opportunity. They will also use the reputation of naiads as more benevolent and friendly to prey on further victims, luring in those who don't recognize the different kinds of fey. Using illusions and charms, they seduce travellers and lead them to their death, working with natural creatures, drawing the victim into water deeper and rougher than they can handle, or using their knives if they must to ensure that their new toy is added to their collection.

Most eleinomae have a graveyard of sorts, a place where the many bodies they've collected float among fields of water lilies. These bodies are the eleinomae's favorites, those who were an entertaining capture, or were particularly beautiful. If you follow the sound of mysterious singing in the marshes, you may find an eleinomae's graveyard as she sings to the dead, though doing so may be the last thing you ever do. These graveyards are often guarded by charmed allies or beasts the eleinomae has persuaded, and she will fight furiously to kill anyone who intrudes upon this territory.

Just out of curiosity I thought you couldn’t be diagnosed with a pd when you had a TBI. I’m not sure if it’s different in each situation. Just curious.

Where did you read this? Please, do not come into my asks with bold statements without any credible source. If you have no source nor credibility to hold this statement to be true, that is not an opinion you should be holding.

I tried looking up numerous questions related to what you said but have not found anything. In fact, I found some articles supporting quite the opposite.

I know MANY individuals who have been diagnosed with a TBI /and/ a PD. I am being assessed for two personality disorders with trait modifiers, despite the fact that I have a known TBI.

Cirno 64 sound font demo

I think I finished my sound font. Can't quite distribute it due to copyright questions for a decent chunk of samples. But I compiled a demo of it. They're played in the order of the list at the bottom of the post. Feedback on the samples is welcome. ❤️

Playing is me mostly screwing around on my keyboard. I'm aware some of the sounds could use a release time, I need to figure out that part in sforzando. Conversely some of the samples from Kontakt have a few ms of silence before them which causes silence between back to back notes which isn't great e.g. the koto. There's also a weird wobble issue in the tanpura.

You started talking about prosthetic limbs and I was summoned like a bat from hell. Here are some extra knowledge or ideas, I just really like prosthetics, robotics, and sci-fi

So, a fun fact about prosthetic limbs, especially since he is missing (at least) a leg and an arm from what I have gathered is the fact that, his punches will actually be rather weak. It is impossible to throw a full proper punch if you are missing a leg due to the fact that it is a FULL BODY MOVEMENT. (This has actually been studied)

From your head to your toes, everything goes into proper hand to hand combat, so it creates an interesting dynamic for Aaron if you so choose to use this. A great mech warrior with all the augmentation one needs throws just a shitty punch. Get him without his sword he is significantly weaker than one would imagine, making the robot limbs more for intimidation than actual fighting themselves. Still strong as fuck but less of a raging boar and more of an angry pig, if you catch my drift.

Another thing I would like to suggest is Aaron having to be on anti-rejection medication. Since a lot of his stuff seems to be full-on implant, he needs to take something to combat rejection lest his body shutdowns or goes into overdrive. Could take inspiration from Shimmer (Arcane) in that regards, an anti rejection and pain medication that has side effects since its black market. (Cause I am assuming he wouldn't get an actual prescription medication)

You are also right on the money on the weight and exhaustion issue. He will be dead tired all the time

Aaron’s punches still hurt, but maybe not as much as they could. Against someone else with a similar level of mods, he’d probably not win a brawl, but most people (besides people like the jury) don’t get modded this much anyway, and the cyber leg can compensate a little. Even if his mods aren’t perfect. Ro’Meave tech would give him a leg that’s properly functional but he’d rather struggle.

This also makes me think of Aaron only getting access to safe medication and such when he starts hanging around PD. He refuses to take it at first because he’s stubborn and doesn’t want to have to rely on anyone, but Nekoette sees him struggling with side effects of the stuff he takes and he gives in, he doesn’t want to worry her, or make any of the kids feel like cybernetics are a death sentence. If they need them, he doesn’t want them to refuse them out of worry they’ll turn out like him. He’s not anti-modifications, just anti-Ro’Meave, who have a monopoly on the business. It’s why he teaches them to modify pre-existing parts. So they can help each other.

I’m feeling Nekoette having a cyber limb now, and that’s why she follows him around so much. He’s like her. Hers probably has issues like being too small because she got it when she was younger and they’re too broke to replace it or something. Despite how he treats himself, he always checks up that she’s doing what she needs to do to take care of it, especially since it causes her a lot of issues.

BUT I WOULD LOVE TO HESR YOUR SK IDEAS. My sci-fi thing is very cyberpunk, the mecha stuff is kind of secondary. One of the core ideas of cyberpunk is ‘hey having to be reliant on mega corps to live is bad’ and the ‘how human are you if all of your parts can be bought’ ideas came secondary.

Hi I wrote out all the alleles I could reasonably know for my cats genomes because I'm (likely) autistic and (definitely) unemployed. They are sisters from the same litter so they are largely the same. Here's a pic of them then I'll put all the other stuff under the cut!

B/- for their black base. The second letter is unknown but that doesn't matter because B is completely dominant over all other B locus alleles. The - could be either B (black), b (chocolate) or b1 (cinnamon).

O/o to make them torties. O/O would be fully red all over, o/o would be zero red. O is co-dominant with o, so with O/o both red and not-red show in splotches. The not-red areas show their black base color from the B locus. Only females can have this genotype because it is sex linked to the X chromosome. (Males can only ever be O/Y aka red, or o/Y aka black. Their brothers are both O/Y.)

D/- for no dilution. Their black and red bases are full color saturation. Again, the second allele on the D locus is unknown because D is completely dominant over d. They could be either homozygous D/D or heterozygous D/d. d/d would make them blue and cream rather than black and red.

S/S for white content. Must be homozygous because they are white on more than 50% of their bodies. Less white would be S/w, no white would be w/w. FULLY white could be either Wd/S OR Wd/w OR Wd/Wd. Their S/S is expressed in imperfect van patterns.

L/- for short hair. Second allele could be L or l, it could be either for the same reasons given for the B and D loci.

Now for something different between the two! Alba's A locus/agouti gene is a/a because her black patches are solid, aka no tabby markings. But because red ALWAYS expresses tabby markings regardless of what the A locus has, we would normally still be able to figure out the modifiers on the A locus. BUT because she has so much white, it masks most of her tabby pattern. We can only kind of see it on her head and tail red patches. Those parts would look the same on either a classic (mc/mc) or mackerel (Mc/mc or Mc/Mc) tabby pattern. Because of this I can't really make a guess for her Mc locus. Ticked tabbies (Ta/Ta or Ta/ta) on the other hand would not show stripes on the tail, at least not on the base of the tail, unless the ticking was heterozygous (Ta/ta) because it has incomplete dominance over non-ticking (ta/ta). So Alba is either Ta/ta or ta/ta. More likely ta/ta but let's say -/ta to be safe.

Ari makes this much easier for me due to her A locus being A/- thus her phenotype expresses her pattern on her black patches as well as her red. (I initially thought she had to be A/a due to her sister being homozygous a/a, but both parents could have been A/a, making A/A AND A/a possible, along with Alba's a/a.) Her agouti modifiers are then ta/ta for no ticking, and Mc/- for a mackerel pattern.

The rest just lays out what they are Not:

Both are C/- for no pointing or albinism.

Both are i/i for no inhibitor gene to make them silver(Ari) or smoke(Alba).

Both are wb/wb for no wide band gene to make them golden (or chinchilla).

All hair texture loci are N/- because they aren't rexed, hairless, curled, nor do they have less follicles (such as in the lykoi breed).

pd/pd for no polydactyly.

fd/fd and cu/cu for no foldie or curled ear genes.

m/m and jb/jb for no manx or bobbed tail genes.

mk/mk for no munchkin gene.
