We closed out 2019 on a high note by meeting up with Marcel (@lecorgi) during his US travels! It was really great to see Mona and Marcel playing together (leashes were required as this was not a dog park). Can confirm that he’s as much of a flirt in person! Also as an aside, people often ask us whether Mona is a Fluffy. “Fluffy” in this instance is an official term per the breed standard that describes a corgi coat ‘fault’ (their words, not mine) that describes “a coat of extreme length with exaggerated feathering on ears, chest, legs and feet, underpants and hindquarters.” This video provides a great comparison of a GORGEOUS fluffy (Marcel) versus Mona and Drewbert. just. god. this has set me loose like do you know how much more passionate and comfortable and competent i would be if i received praise growing up instead of snide remarks or being openly told that im untalented or lazy or that i did something ‘wrong’. then the obvious answer to that is “what? u want people to lie to you and coddle you?” like yeah i think when I was 12 and too embarrassed by my singing to even practice it would’ve benefitted me more if someone just bit the bullet and told me i was good at something i cared abt even if it was technically ‘lying’ to a child, like im just tired of feeling like people who encourage me are lying to me and i deserve every harsh thing ever said to me because it feels right, not because it makes me better bc it fulfills what i truly think of myself like guys,,,,,,I know this is stupid,,,,,,but peebert has officially opened a wound
