things to hear when you want to feel uneasy

Inspired by KickthePj's things to hear when you're feeling uneasy duology but I couldn't come up with a list of things to hear when you're feeling uneasy. So I did the opposite, thinking of things that make me feel uneasy.

. . .

when a glass teeters on a counter by a small sliver

the realization that an email you had worked hard on hadn't in fact been sent

when you're in a classroom with an odd number of students and the teacher says to 'partner up'

but you're not quick enough to be the person working alone

that awkward bit of silence when you don't know how to react to something someone just said

or when you ask a person to repeat what they'd said and you still didn't hear it so you say 'same' hoping it had not been a question

when in fact it had been a question 

awkward silence in general

the teacher calls on you when 1. you don't know the answer & 2. other people have their hand up

speaking of calling, having to speak on the phone, constantly reminding yourself mentally that the person on the receiving end can't see you nod

the fact that the consonant 'th' exists—that's just a personal one

the feeling when after touching a sticky substance, no matter how many times you wash your hands, they still feel sticky

creepy pastas and scp's—cryptids and creatures like the Loch Ness Monster, mermaids, & Big Foot that go afoot in the night 

I personally still get the creeps from smiley dog & the Russian sleep experiment 

how quickly trends come and go

lastly, the realization that a song is 10 years old

this has been my list of things to hear when you want to feel uneasy and to that I ask 'why?'
