Not to invalidate Phoneix's experience but its kinda funny that Miles' backstory is witnessing his father's murder and swearing to bring all the criminals to justice all while being manipulated by the actual murderer whereas Phoneix's backstory is he is accused of stealing lunch money.

Something I always love thinking about is the Mia Phoenix parallels. Namely in the sense that they're extremely kind and always try to do the right thing but have a tendency to just kinda. not think too much about collateral?

During the 7yg, when everything went off the rails-- do you think Maya saw Mia in the way that Phoenix ran from everyone? How he chased after someone with more power and influence than he had, determined to find the evidence to lock him away, and Maya saw Mia in every action? Praying she wouldn't have to find him dead in his office?

They have good intentions, and I think it's hard for the people they hurt to handle it because they know that the two were always trying to do what they thought was best, but I think the short-sightedness that the two of them display is really interesting, especially because the collateral often ends up being people they care about
