The last case really got to Casey. Alex noticed and even offered to take over, but Casey insisted she can handle it. Casey won in the end but she didn`t feel like celebrating with everyone and went straight home alone.

After grabbing a drink with the others Alex can't shake the anxious thoughts about Casey so she decides to check on her. She takes a cab, goes up to Casey's apartment, and knocks.

It takes a few minutes, but then Casey opens the door. She's wearing a cozy pajama, her hair a bit messy. She looks tired but, to Alex's relief, not as sad as she did after the court.

"Alex, what are you doing here?"

"I was worried."

"I'm... okay. Just need some time."

"Is there anything I can do?"

Casey pauses for a moment. "How about some coffee? Or wine? Or maybe bourbon?"

"A glass of wine and some talking, perhaps?"

Casey nods but hesitates to open the door. Suddenly she has a shy grin on her lips and a blush starts to creep up her chest tinting her nose.

"Um... I..." she sighs. "Please don't laugh" she whispers.

She steps aside and Alex enters the apartment. Her gaze lands on the couch. Or rather where the couch should have been. At first glance, she can't make sense of the mess of pillows, blankets and chairs(?) but after a few seconds it clicks and a broad smile spreads across her face as she turns to the younger woman.

"You built a pillow fort?"

Casey is now beet red in the face. "Yeah I... as a kid it always broughts me comfort and I thought it was worth a shot."

"So? Does it work?"

"It's wonderful" she laughs. "You wanna try? I'm sure we can make enough room."

I grin, running out of the room, and coming in and out with pillows, blankets, and other fort Materials-Then As I bring the last pillow in, I toss it to you.

I'm not sure how much time passes. Doesn't matter to me. All I know is, eventually, we stand back, finished, and it looks AWESOME! I beam at you, wrapping and arm around your shoulder and hugging you with that one arm

Look at that. We did a good job, Huh Munchkin? Now get in. I'll go get the snacks, you find something good on your phone for us to watch

There's no other way I would rather spend my day <3.

We only used the ONE pillow to get home, and I kept it around for a few weeks before I felt comfy enough to NOT need it as a shield in the car. But it was entirely too funny of an image to not draw for the strip.
