“Apocalypse in Pink” part 2 (see part 1 here), from the August 1983 issue of SPECTAGORIA Magazine. Sera Clairmont’s celebrated underground fashion magazine was always scratching at the bleeding edge of culture, deftly navigating the trends of the Reagan ‘80s by simultaneously coopting and corrupting its materialistic obsessions. Never was that theme on visceral display than in this controversial issue. Apocalypse in Pink found Clairmont’s “Barbie dolls” trying to keep their glamour and their plastic smiles in the flames of a Capitalist Cold War simultaneously obsessed with materialism and annihilation; an America that, Clairmont wrote, “relentlessly asks women if we’re beautiful enough, if our clothes are fancy enough, if our pursuits are ambitious enough, and at the end of every night, if we know where our children are.”

In true Spectagoria fashion, what begins as stylish playful “nuclear Barbie” iconography gradually descends into horrific flames and melting pink plastic bodies, with only the womens’ smiles in tact on their smoldering skeletons at the end of the issue.

Reportedly, this issue was sent to Spectagoria subscribers in a package that included a pink lighter and a note that read, “when you’re finished reading, finish the job.” When burned, the magazine was said to ignite in a dazzling show of hot pink flames that sparkled and crackled, a performance art to complete the issue’s vision. As a result, Apocalypse in Pink is one of the most rare and coveted issues of the magazine, with no complete copies known to exist.

Most who have studied Spectagoria lore conclude that the exterior of the magazine was likely coated in a chemical powder that created the fantastical pink flames. But such a magic show has been meaty fodder for those who believe the rumors of occult powers and dark witchcraft surrounding the publication…

Yeah those teens will happily carry on the family name for generations to come! Occult players, I could never forget about you! Dive deep into the Windernburg School for the Young and Gifted!.. Teen occults aren’t for you? Head over to Strangerville and see how a coven of vampires do in the desert sun with the Constantine Coven! All players… with no discernable style of playing but a love for the sims have something to enjoy here. Go out on a date in downtown Willow Creek or get married in a drive-thru wedding chapel and see a flick after the ceremony in Newcrest! In my Love Letter, you will find nods to shows like The Vampire Diaries, H2O: Just Add Water, Game Of Thrones, and more! You will see familiar faces from Sims 1 - Now! Blending the personalities of Nancy Landgraab from all of her previous portrayals into one, where she can exist at her Adult age at the same time as Stella and Richie Striker exist entering their grand-parenthood. When The Sims 4 released, the gurus decided that it existed in an alternate timeline from previous games… this save does not restore the old timeline.. It crashes into it! Sims who were passing of old age in Sunset Valley as someone on Lunar Lakes was marrying someone who was being born in Pleasantview! Familiar names like Beaker, Wolff, Wan, Frio, Martinez, Loner, Smith, AND MORE lie within this file.

Also as a longtime simmer… there are faces and stories you haven’t seen, my own original tales and sims. Dabble with the tragic life of Maria Perez in Oasis Springs, or her pink-obsessed sister in Del Soy Valley. I hid plenty of easter eggs from various forms of media in this save too. This save is for the lore lovers and casual players who might be bored of the same starter homes and venues.

New packs! New builds! New faces (but also technically old faces)! As time moves on there are old builds or faces I know I could do better on and ideas that I want to explore.

This is the most COMPLETE version of my save to have existed but it is not the end… enjoy ;)

I also want to give a special thanks to LifeSimmer, who permitted me to use the Fenderson family in this save. I have been playing the sims since I was 9 years old and all these years later that family is just as special to my inner child as the Goth family.

Warning! This is a BIG save! In order to combat bloating, I recommend monitoring and controlling auto spawned NPCs in managed households often. If you don’t, the game may make surrounding lots appear as EA defaults, I’ve done my own testing and due diligence THIS IS NOT CORRUPTION! It’s simply a mechanical issue within the game from having such a large save to keep track of.

Yeah, time for Homeworld raised Steeb to shine~

Of course, a ref and brief bio of our mains.~

First up; our diamond boy.~

Like any other rendition of Steven being raised by Homeworld, he's dubbed Pink Diamond, but a certain someone calls him "Dewdrop" or "Hibiscus" because his eye color reminds her of said flower.

Of course he's gonna have Homeworld-esc drip, but I had it tweaked so I wouldn't leech too much off the more respectable designs of Pink Diamond Steven, as well as make it less poofy and frankly clowny.

But, while he's still "diamond-like" in behavior, but rather than be a compete brat, he's still got an "open-mind" in terms of stuff outside of Homeworld. He doesn't care much for Earth, and isn't really up for finishing what his carrier started. But, of course, he still looks down on normal humans and lower class gems.

But of course, being raised and somewhat spoiled by the Diamonds, Homeworld/White Diamond's ideals were instilled into his head, thus he still very much wants to be a better Diamond then the former Pink Diamond ever was.

Now, notice how I called the former Pink Diamond his "carrier" and not mom?

Because there's only one gem he truly sees as a "mom."

And that's Fluffy!

Or, well, they call her the Beaststone, The Corruption, or just The Corrupted Quartz. But since it's been established that Pink Diamond had a habit of being "creative" with names, Pink Diamond Steeb calls her "my Fluffy". [Or since I've established she's basically a (Y/N) Character, she can be whatever name and gem type ya want.]

Not a lot has changed about her appearance wise, aside from the fact she's loaded up with a lot of animalistic Homeworld gear.

Being in an unforgiving place like Homeworld, she becomes more solemn and quiet than she was on Earth. Being looked down on and treated like a mindless animal will do that to a person. And she doesn't dare emote too much, since she's viewed as "dangerous."

The only time she was truly happy was when she was catering to Pink's "new form"/caring for baby diamond boy.

But after he was old enough to walk steadily and talk clearly, the Diamonds saw it fit to take it from there and whisked him away as soon as possible to start his training, leaving our beastie with a harsh case of "empty nest syndrome".

From there, they made use of her corruption, having her transport heavier materials and resources for the empire, had her stand guard or patrol certain areas of the palace and even had her train to take part in whatever conflicts might arise.

It's only years later that she's regained her duties as Pink's caretaker, as he's been getting more and more unruly as he enters his teen years.

She should be happy to reunite, but it's painfully clear this isn't same boy she raised...

I have had this one brewing a bit but hopefully you guys will like it and I would love to get requests for this cause this got so much angst potential.

So basically this is a y/n story with y/n being in a alternative universe apocalypse world were it's the equivalent of the witches bascially pulling the gem corruption move like the diamonds did when they found out pink was shattered by the rebel gems. But this was done because they found out the beasts were free again and the main cookies were alright and not mutated but other cookies and creatures are as it only effects dough really. And y/n went to try and find a way to reverse this but when running out of the abandoned city of Crème Republic but was ambushed by corrupted cookies and when running away, ran into a opening portal that set them to the current cookie run world. As now y/n has to get use to being in a normal world and yet they feel guilty, survivors guilt hitting them hard as they thought all their friends and the world was fixed and thought that alchemist cookie and Dr bones were able to find a cure and y/n does wanna go home but the cookies in this world won't let them leave not now, not ever.

As in the apocalypse world, the cookies morn the loss of y/n thinking they got taken by a corrupted cookie or killed while trying to escape as some wish that they lost the light in this dark world. Maybe they should have tried harder to make y/n stay.

(this is just a short idea of a au I wanna make as this y/n can hold so much trauma but that's all the details you'll get for now and if you guys like it. You guys can send in requests for more or not. But for now please stay safe and drink water!)
