Lake Burlinskoye is a pink lake in Siberia with a train that runs through it. The train collects sediment from the lake bed using harvesting tools, as a part of a salt harvesting operation dating back to 1768. This method yields 65,000 tons of salt each year.

Iran's pink lakes are one of the best and most popular tourist attractions among travelers and foreign tourists.
Donalilla salina algae is a type of aquatic algae that produces a substance that changes the color of lake water to pink or red. Algae Dunalilla salina is found in the water of lakes for various reasons, and one of these reasons can be excessive water salinity and plenty of sunlight. It is good to know that Donalilla salina algae is not dangerous and does not harm the environment and ecology. This algae grows in some seasons of the year and is not considered a pest.
Some people may confuse this algae with a type of pest known as red algae, which covers the entire surface of the water with excessive growth and disturbs the animal life and ecosystem of the lake, which is not true. Red tide is a water phenomenon that changes the color of water from blue to pink or red due to the excessive proliferation of microorganisms. The red worm also causes water pollution and poisoning and is dangerous for the aquatic animals in the water, but the reason for the existence of Iran's pink lake is not the presence of this pest.
The locations of all types of pink lakes in Iran are in the northern, northeastern, southwestern, and central regions, and their number is divided into 8 lakes.
