Went to Moctezuma for dinner last night. I got their birria tacos without onions. It comes with a choice of rice and beans. I got poblano rice and pinto beans. It also comes with consommé, salsa, and a lime. It was all very good. I was so hungry, I had all of the tacos, most of the rice, and a little of the beans. I also got one of my faves for dessert: fried ice cream. It had a lot of caramel sauce on it. I mostly just ate the outside layer of the ice cream. It came with a ton of whipped cream.

My new jeans came today. I tried them on and they fit like a glove. Slightly baggy, though. I’m apparently now a 16w petite. I’ve managed to go down 4 sizes since I got back into exercising a little less than a year ago. It’s been a while since I was this size. I think it’s around where I was before the cancer. Maybe one more size? My wrists have been getting smaller, and shirt size is a little smaller, too. I got bigger pajamas, since I wanted them a bit baggier. I seem to be shrinking everywhere but the middle of my belly. That’s still great!

I had a hard time getting my blood draw today. I had to get it done before I have my phone appointment with the oncology nurse this coming week. She put the tourniquet on, and asked if it was too tight. It has to be tight, and I don’t know how much is too much. So, I said it wasn’t. As soon as she started, I was in a lot of pain. It wasn’t coming out fast enough either. She decided to undo the tourniquet. It didn’t hurt as much, and flowed much faster. She said she hadn’t seen that before. She got it all pretty quickly. Then, as she pulled the needle out, blood spurted out along with it. A lot of it landed on my arm. I started to get my weird dizzy feeling. I’ve passed out before when I get it. She cleaned it up and put a bandage over it. Hopefully the test results are good.

After that, we went to Moctezuma’s. I got birria beef tacos. It came with consommé, a red hot sauce, pickled onions, a lime, poblano rice, and pinto beans. All of it was great! Had their fried ice cream. One of my faves! Had a thick fry coating.

This weekend my parent and I will make something for dinner from our cookbooks. I’ll make two things. A drink from the American-Jewish cookbook, and a Chinese noodle soup from the Chinese kosher cookbook. The drink will be just for me, though. I don’t think she’ll like that. I think we’d both like the soup.
