Yes!

I think my Beelzebub redesign is my favorite. I really love drawing bugs in general and it was really fun trying to rework her design to look more bee-like and less… furry. I actually liked the design so much I decided to repurpose it for my own character who’s Beelzebub’s daughter. She’s not as nice as Helluva’s Bee, very Regina George lol.

I actually got really excited working on her. I just love designing bugs and demons so getting a chance to do both was very enjoyable for me. I actually had even MORE sketches planned for her but I realized I was getting way too involved redesigning a character, so some concepts just became my own thing. Like I was like “I don’t mind that Beelzebub is nice, but she doesn’t feel like a Sin at all”, so I had some bonus sketches of her being like that really cool but toxic friend who just keeps enabling you.

Hardest to redesign though? God. Maybe Angel Dust? In fact even after my most recent redesign I’ve never really been fully happy with (it was very rushed compared to nifty). I enjoy doing Hazbin/Helluva redesigns but one major issue I have with these characters is that they’re WAAAAAY too bloated story wise, and Angel dust might be the worst example of this. Like fitting a drag queen, sex worker, celebrity and mafia boss into one character is a bit of a challenge because you basically have to look at Angel dust and understand all those things about him.

Maybe I’ll do a fifth one if I ever do Hazbin redesigns again LOL, but likely not. I always planned to stop early but the fandom kind of solidified it. These stop being fun knowing that there are people who monitorsmy account waiting for my next redesign to drop so they can harass me and tell me to kill myself. Not fun! I’d rather draw other things.

(Also to be clear, even if the fandom was really nice to me, I still would have stopped. The creator’s constant controversy was the main reason I quit and only did Nifty and Angel Dust after a request. But the fandom meltdown was the nail in the already deep and buried coffin)

Tsuyu Asui (Froppy)

I wanted to give her kind of a baggy jumpsuit that would accentuate her lanky posture. I struggled slightly in giving her frog motifs, but I eventually put together the liminal spots, the shape on the rim of her gloves, cap & goggles, and the translucent sleeves. All of them together make her costume look rather frog-like I think, and of course the frog toes on the boots. Also, the twin braids just felt right for her character, as well as her freckles.

Momo Yaoyorozu (Ms. Architect)

Obviously, Momo's hero costume is the most problematic of the canon designs, so this is my take and I'm actually really proud of it. I also renamed her because I think most of the girls' hero names are a bit... simple, cheap, and uninspired. (Especially compared to most of the guys') I chose Ms. architect by using thesaurus for the word "creator" since an architect is someone who plans and makes things, it's also much more respectable.

Honestly it's kind of a simple design but I think it suits her in a way. It has a red top that's cut low in the front and back, especially since we rarely see her use her quirk from her stomach. Then she has shorts that reach just above her mid thigh, with an apron over it to carry, pens, her notebook, and a measuring tape to help with her quirk since she has to understand the structure.

Ochako Uraraka (Uravity)

It's hard to tell with the pose I put her in, but I mean for her to be tall and thin/lanky, like someone who runs track, mainly to give the sense that she's light (which is more obvious in the design sketch.) I made her slightly tan with a bit more ginger brown hair in a longer bob simply for some variation and I like it. For her costume, I wanted it to vaguely resemble an astronaut for the space/gravity theme. I also absolutely had to get rid of that line that goes down her crotch bc it makes me uncomfortable.

My original sketches to work out the designs---I did do some reworking on the final, but for the most part they're the same. Also you can see the varied body types better here than in the posed drawings

So with the arrival of our foster dog, my executive dysfunction has FINALLY taken a critical hit, which means I can get working towards shit I've been trying to deal with since February!

Man Hook Hand Hook Car Door - To be honest, it's 2023 and this one has never been a super popular piece in the first place, and with 7 prints left I thought it best to let her go for the sake of space

Penis - I put wayyyyy too much hutzpah designing this piece in the first place and getting prints of it done cleanly were weirdly difficult, so I'm just gonna be cutting and running on this piece - props to anyone who can find allllll of the dong jokes I've tried to weave into the piece tho! There's 10 prints left, and out of those one is a weird and fucked up misprint with which i will be including a free sticker just for funsies

Limerick Rolled- This is a sabbatical one, I designed it years ago with MUCH less experience than I have today re: text spacing and would like to put her under a redesign. There are only 2 of these bad boys left, and I'll try to get her redesign up with all the others when I release 'em.

Do Good Recklessly - Another sabbatical design, I'd like to neaten this one out and rework the illumination a bit more cleanly. There's 8 prints left in my supplies, and I'll also try to get the redesign out with all the new print designs I've got planned for this summer

oh my god i'm finally done with these. sorry for not posting for so long that's my bad LMAOOO anyway here they are! my sun and moon redesigns which i put way too much effort into. this is like my 4th draft lol

while it'd probably make more sense for them to be split designs, i made these under the assumption that sun and moon are 2 separate ai in one body, but transform in their rooms/out of sight to keep the kids thinking they're different bots- as to how they change all the clothes so fast… well, they used to be theatre workers, i'm sure they know how to do a quickchange also i couldnt find anywhere to include this on the sheet but they're exactly 8'0 (sun being a bit taller cause of the rays + shoes)

there's a LOT of little design quirks n changes that i can't explain here, but if you have any questions about them, please ask i REALLY wanna talk about my design process

anyway here's some extras from the designs i couldn't include above:

Alright, so...

For a while, I've been wanting to start an AU where all of my characters (As of writing: Casper, Avery, Finnegan (formerly Fishper), Darkside (name rework pending), and Null (complete redesign pending)) can interact. Below is a preview of that!

I am still planning on continuing my main fic with Casper + Avery (Like Real People Do), so don't worry that I have abandoned that project! I just wanted more creative freedom in terms of using my characters, so this AU is just meant to be a framework for that. This is meant to be more episodic, rather than a linear story like my fic.

The way Casper and Avery meet in this AU is the same as in my fic, although the world itself is quite different. Unlike the main story, in this universe there are many non-human races other than cloud elementals.

I don't have a lot of the other details fleshed out yet, but I wrote a short fic below to formally introduce Fishper (whose name going forward will be Finnegan) and kind of allude to the relationship dynamics between him, Avery, and Casper.

That was probably more explanation than was needed. Oops! Anyway --

"Hey, why do you call me that?"

"Hm? Call you what?"

"Fishper. I mean, not that I don't like it, but... I have a name."

We sat on the end of the pier, legs dangling between the wooden slats of the guardrail. Far beyond Avery's lighthouse, the sun was just starting to sink below the horizon, painting the summer sky in shades of pink and orange. It was difficult to believe that just a year ago, I had crashed my skateboard into the same railing, leading to my chance encounter with the cloudman.

Though the world was filled with all kinds of non-human races -- I was sitting next to a triton, after all -- it was the first time I'd ever met an elemental, especially one like him. Prior to meeting Avery, I'd never even heard of cloudfolk. I'd mostly kept company with other humans until that day; since then, I'd become acquainted with all kinds of races, including merfolk like Fish. The scaly humanoid had washed up on the rocky outcropping around Avery's lighthouse during a particularly bad storm, and had been taken in by the elemental until he recovered. What could I say -- the gentle scientist was practically a magnet for those in need! We'd only known each other for about a month, but the excitable guppy and I had become fast friends.

"Well, you couldn't speak for the first few days after we found you, so... I had to call you something! It was really Avery's idea, though; he said you were just like me, so he gave you a name like mine. You could've told me sooner that you had a name, though! What is it?" I turned to look at him. He was grinning, swinging his legs in time with the flopping of his huge tail against the pier's wooden boards. I was a little embarrassed that I knew almost nothing about his race; only that some non-human races didn't use traditional names, so I figured it was possible he didn't have one.

"Ehehe, I just liked that you gave me a nickname! My real name is Finnegan, but most people just call me Finn."

"Awww, that's cute! Very fitting for you, too." I smirked, reaching over to give a light tickle to his finned ear. He squealed, shaking his head as his ears fluttered.

"Eee-HEEE! Hehey!"

I snickered. He was great to play with; very sensitive, with big, bubbly reactions. His scales were soft, supple, and surprisingly warm to the touch. I never would've expected a fish to be cuddly, but as of the past week, he'd been sneaking into mine and Avery's bed at night for a snuggle when he couldn't sleep. Insomnia -- like many things, we shared that, too.

"What's wrong? I thought you liiiiiked being tickled~" I teased, sneaking a finger under his arm and wiggling a bit. He laughed, then -- loud and clear, his high, giggly howling riding above the sound of the waves. He flopped back onto the pier, squirming as I readjusted my position to get a better angle on him.

"EHEH-HEE!" He screeched as my fingers danced gently along his ribcage. Despite all his flailing, he did little to try and stop me.

"This shirt looks familiar. Oh, wait. That's because it's my shirt! You stole my clothes out of the dryer again, didn't you!" I admonished playfully, sliding my hands under his -- MY -- shirt to tickle his pale, soft belly. Given that it was the most tender spot on him (and the most ticklish, as far as I could tell), I took particular care not to hurt him, my fingertips lightly spidering over the surface as if gliding on ice.

He was quickly in hysterics, wriggling beneath my fingers like a... well. Like a fish!

"AHAHA-HEEE! I DOHOHOOO!"

"You do what, ticklefish?" I asked, grinning as I gently pinched along his sides.

"I-EHEEEE! I LIHIHIKE T-TIHIHICKLES!"

I blushed. I'd never known Finn to be shy... after all, he offered very little resistance when tickled, and had always seemed to enjoy it... but I wasn't expecting an outright admission. How did he do that...? Unprompted, and while being tickled, no less!

It took me a moment to realize I had stopped tickling, and he was staring at me, tears in the corners of his yellow eyes.

"Why'd you stop?" He asked, a curious smile showing off his jagged teeth. They were more than a little crooked, lending him an air that was a bit goofy, rather than menacing as most triton tended to be. The end of his tail wagged, thumping repeatedly against the wood.

"You want me to keep going...?" I asked, staring down at him with raised brows... and an affectionate smile of my own. Who could resist that?

"Ehehe, yeah! It's fun!" He raised his arms high and laid back, giving me full access to his torso, and making me blush even more. What kind of society had he grown up in, to foster such boldness?! I choked back my own fluster, trying to look impish and intimidating. I was the ler, after all... I couldn't fold over a little unexpected compliance!

"Alright, fishflake, you asked for it... literally." I giggled in spite of myself; it was too hard not to. Finn didn't seem to mind, though. He giggled right back, which was a relief, for me -- gosh, he was easy.

I lifted his -- again, my! -- shirt up, this time, exposing his belly to the dying light. The stars had begun to appear, and Avery would be expecting us home, soon.

"Last tickle, okay? This belly of yours needs dinner, soon," I said, gently patting his belly to the tune of more happy tittering. Then I went to work, skittering my digits all over his tummy again. I didn't spare his navel that time, either; my fingertip wiggled right into it, causing him to emit a gleeful shriek as he kicked his scaly feet.

"AAAAHAHA-HEEHEEEE!"

He squirmed, but it was easy to follow his movements, as his intention clearly wasn't to squirm away. My hands moved from the center of his belly to his sides, then began to crawl upward, counting along his ribs.

"How many ribs does a fish have? Maybe we should count and see."

"EEEEEE! I DOHOHNT KNOHOWWW!"

"One, two, three... oops! I lost count. Can't you stay still? Now I have to start over!"

"AAAHEHEE! I CAHAHAHAN'T!"

"Ooooone, twoooo, threee..." As I counted each rib, I lightly wiggled each one with the pads of my fingertips. This got plenty of howling from him -- it was a good thing we were alone on the pier, otherwise I was sure his loud cackling would have been quite the spectacle!

Despite how it clearly tickled, Finn somehow managed to keep his arms up. I had to hand it to him... he was even more resilient than me!

"How about here, Finny~?" I taunted, suddenly jumping from his ribs to his armpits. They were nearly as soft as his belly, pale and smooth beneath my whirling fingertips.

He squawked again, followed by a gale of laughter, his body tossing back and forth against the pier. To my astonishment... he still kept his arms up!

"Tickle, tickle... Cooooooochie coo, ticklefish! You're just ticklish all over, aren't you?" I continued to tease, giggling as he laughed uproariously, his gamine face flushed dark green with laughter. Slowing to a stop, I reached up and took his hands, pulling his arms down and helping him to sit up. He looked a bit dizzy, a tickle-drunk grin on his face. I chuckled, ruffling his hair.

"Come on, Avery's probably waiting to pick us up. If we don't hurry, I'm sure there will be a serious tickling for both of us after dinner." I shivered at the thought of an Avery tickling, getting to my feet and pulling Finn up with me. He wobbled a bit, and then righted himself, giggling.

"Ehehehe... that's fine by me~!"

I may not look it but i used to watch ft!!

I've been rewatching some of the episodes and im still wishy washy on whether or not I want to redesign all the characters but here's some recent and old character sketches!! I've been playing around with their designs but trying not to deviate too far so that the characters still look like who they're supposed to be

Idk if anyone would wanna see me redesign/rework every character but I'd post em if there were people who wanted to see that.

Here's the rundown for those who are interested:

My basic ideas for fairy tail are to make every character a fantasy trope/creature/class/myth. Some of the characters will change into a different thing over time as they gain experience. I feel like fairy tail has a lot of potential to write a more modern fairy tale type story because of the whole wizards and magic thing. With dragons and princesses n everything. This is obviously present in the story, but i really want to reinforce that idea. there are some characters who I think really fit this, like Erza (obvi main knight of the story but also has the title of titania queen of the fairies) and natsu (obviously dragon as an mc, sort of a role reversal of the evil dragon. and maybe a fun demonic plot twist haha). But with other characters i may need to make more changes. Lucy is a loose version of the princess (with a fun runaway backstory), but I want her to evolve into a priestess. Grey kinda has nothing going on for him imo, the ice wizard thing keeps throwing me off every time i try to project something onto him. I think i'll go with a hunter -> demon slayer thing. He just happens to use ice magic. i don't wanna go with regular wizard because thats a bit boring lmao. It would also make the elemental thing between natsu and grey funnier bcuz he's a spooky demon and that guys a hunter so you guys REALLY shouldnt get along. They do anyway because the power of friendship lol Anyways that's the basic plan? even if i dont post it on tumblr just know its cooking in the back of my head. thx for reading all this haha

I'm salty about The Ghost and Molly McGee's cancellation and how it's another example of networks and studios screwing over a show that didn't earn a profit despite doing next to nothing to help it earn a profit.

You got some fluffy headcanons about the show to help this poor salty soul.

Still mulling things over for post-series headcanons. I do have a few but I wanna wait till I have a good list and some designs before posting. I can give a few tho', 1 per major character.

Sharon worked through her grief of losing Scratch and created a series of wonderful art pieces which both hang in the Town Hall and in a museum in the capital.

Pete eventually manages to get a victory for Brighton over Perfektborg with an excellent redesign of the market district. While Perfektborg would win the next year, Pete was still hailed as a hero by the Brightonians.

Molly became Mayor of Brighton when she got old enough and felt she was ready to run, the previous Mayor Brunson even endorsed her run and she won easily. She has been enhappifying the town even more since for both the living and ghost citizens of Brighton

Daryl went legit...kinda. He still has some shady dealings but the other businesses he has are 100% legit (mostly thanks to Andrea's help and business know-how).

Libby became a popular author after with the encouragement of Molly, she sent in a manuscript and was published at 16. Since then she's been writing a bunch of stories of various genres (even outselling her father which brought her a bit of joy)

Andrea worked with Molly to rework her (Andrea's) life plan and it's been working great for her. The new "honest Andrea" image has been working well for her and has found it liberating not just for herself but against her family who has been trying anything to regain their empire, meanwhile Andrea has been happy separate from them

Ollie is a living therapist to the dead and has been helping ghosts with their unfinished business. While not his main job, it is the one he finds the most satisfying.

June continued her research on ghosts and now that actual ghosts are friends of her and family, she has direct test subjects. Her research was at first laughed at by "ghost experts" but after a few years of her advice was proven to work she got the respect that her parents never got.

Geoff & Jeff visited the McGees more often after Scratch left. While not the best at giving life advice, Geoff still tried to help Molly and co while growing up (Jeff, while supportive of his husband knows that he isn't the best with that stuff and would correct things)

So, I redesigned the main villain from Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire. Spoilers under the cut!

When Garraka first appeared on the screen, his entire body was covered in darkness and alongside the glowing blue eyes, I found his design intimidating and interesting. Unfortunately, he didn't stay in shadows for long as his true form is rather generic and lacks the cool (no pun intended) factor of his first appearance.

Thus, I set out to redesign him to regain that menacing shadowy appearance.

Design Notes

As you can tell, his body is made up entirely of darkness. His claws and the tips of his horns are covered in ice so they can add more contrast in the design (the base of the horns are also differently colored to have more variety in the color scheme and to indicate that they are removable) and to convey his ice powers.

I changed the horns up and added another pair to make for a more dynamic silhouette (OG's horns aren't that bad but they could be improved on IMO). I took inspiration from Fate/Grand Order's portrayal of the Babylonian goddess, Tiamat, and the Bull Headed Lyre of Ur for the horns' design.

He has no mouth so he doesn't do his ice breath; he does his ice bending with his hands.

His shadow body represents the rage and hatred that makes up Garraka. The horns only appear that way when they're attached to his head and when they removed, they are no longer covered in shadows.

Also, I came up with some lore for my redesigned Garraka. It's more of a reworking of his original lore with actual Sumerian mythology thrown in (TW for violence and death):

The son of Nergal, god of Death and king of the Underworld (Kur), and one of his wives, Mamitu, whose name amongst other things means frost, Garraka proved to be a powerful deity in his own right. Thanks to his divine heritage, Garraka is able to command spirits with his words and not even the most powerful ghostly beings could defy him. He also possessed the Death Chill, capable of inducing true fear in his opponents that freezes them alive. Yet, he is much weakened if his horns, a symbol of his heritage, were to be removed. Garraka was content to spend his eternal life in his native Kur but he willingly left Kur whenever he was summoned. One such summoning was from a king who wanted Garraka's help in conquering East and Center Asia. Garraka obliged, mercilessly freezing over nations. The King witnessed Garraka's power and began fearing him. Once he established his kingdom, the King came up with a plan. He planned a festival in Garraka's honor as a way of thanking him and Garraka showed up. While Garraka was distracted eating the meals offered to him, the King brought his strongest warriors and with some rope that they tied around his horns, they ripped them off his head.

Pained and weakened, Garraka realized that he was betrayed. Even without the horns, he was still strong, and he was upset that he was betrayed; betrayed by mortals none the less! A species far inferior than him yet had the sheer audacity to deceive a god and attempt to strip him of his power. Filled with rage, darkness consumed his body and he killed every single mortal attending the festival, including the King, and set out to bring upon the next Ice Age, freezing the entire Earth and wiping humanity out.

The god of fire, Gibil, caught wind of Garraka's plans. Naturally, fire won't thrive in a world of ice, so he sought out a way to stop Garraka. He blessed his followers with the gift to command flames with their finger tips and ordered them to stop Garraka. His followers would become known as the Firemasters, precursors to the Ghostbusters, and they successfully thrawted Garraka, using fire and brass to combat his deathly ice and trapping him within a special orb designed by Gibil. The Firemasters and their descendants then dedicated their lives to protecting the orb so Garraka will never escape whilst dealing with other spirits. As millennia past, they began dying out and by the modern day, a modern descendant, unaware of his heritage, found the orb containing Garraka and not knowing any better, he sells it to a retired Ghostbuster's supernatural oddities store. Little did he know that he was contributing to Garraka's freedom...

hi tumblr i redesigned Angel Dust (again but tried staying closer to canon instead of doing my own thing that often ends up becoming a oc smfh)

I dont hate Angel's new look but i am a fan for the old one- Basically lost interest in Hazbin but his design will always have a iconic face across the internet for years to come LMFAO

His overall personality is more crude, alot more crass, more of a prankster, p much his gen 1 personality of being a huge douche that has a love of drag, drugs, & booze w/ a occupation of a Mobster!

Not saying this was all ignored with current Angel- I dont keep up to date on Hazbin (nor care to) but if gen 3(current design) Angel met gen 1(roughly first design) Angel, Gen1 would obliterate that twink with some fisticuffs

Hrm heres most of my nitpicks tbh for his new design tho that i added to this;

Gave him his smoker blinds white back/the fact his 'fur' gets lighter when he is more sober (could be a good mood indicator)

All pink gloves again !! i feel like pink gloves with small white details + white lower gloves is p silly

His Z legs are back, no more nearly just normal legs for this spider demon

I wanted him to have all 6 arms, i wish i moved them higher bc i do like how they looked on just the torso :3

Totally feel better with the tux being just his body colors of white/pink - The two pinks didnt look right :(

Demitale is an Undertale AU that I started back in 2016 I believe. The way I would explain it today: there is dark magic that turns monsters into what people perceive as demons. Asgore was the first one to be corrupted and used dark magic to force the entire underground in his control. Here is a more recent art of it:

In general since I have improved my art and writting skills a lot since then, I was playing around with the idea to redesign some of the designs for fun and rethink some concepts. I did this one on a whim at least:

The Thing About Redesigns, Rewrites, and Reimagines…

(Part I: Broader Discourse)

To those of you who’ve been keeping tabs or maybe seen my posts floating around the tag, you might recall me mentioning that I felt a bit of hesitancy toward the prospect of joining in on the recent wave of redesign/rewrite content. In the more likely scenario that you haven’t or do not know what the crap I’m talking about, that’s fine lol. Understandable. It was a little thing I had written into my first rewrite/redesign post about Charlie. In a short aside, I explained that it was because I’d felt “bad about tinkering with someone else’s work like this”, and then I’d left it at that. So… yeah. Why am I bringing it up now?

Well, I don’t think I need to tell you that this fandom is… a lot. Y’know people have been talking…discourse is being had… heated, moral arguments are being hurled left and right. And in light of all the growing, reactionary accusations, I…found myself starting to feel bad again.

My initial issue, the reason why I didn’t immediately jump to sharing my ideas was that, for all her faults, I empathize with Viv as a creator and didn’t want to feel like I was disrespecting her, her characters, and her vision by reworking it to suit my own. I had frustrations and criticisms, but I never wanted to make it seem like I was trying to ‘fix’ her work or her style. I really didn’t want to be one of those pretentious dipsh*ts (the kind that take a piece of art, digest it through their own preferences and biases, then spit it back in the artist’s face with a, “There. I made it better”). In the end, I went through with it because I had a small hyperfixation and a tendency to project my own issues onto characters I love (I’m sure some of y'all can relate). And also, I was having fun. But… then more discourse poured in, and I saw all the concerns I expressed reflected in the arguments presented by other fans and artists.

And well… That made me feel like I was doing something wrong, like perpetuating and becoming the exact problems I had wanted to fight against. So, I took a step back. I reevaluated.

Now, I have thoughts (shocker!).

And they are conflicted.

On one hand I agree with the idea that redesigns/rewrites are not inherently bad or disrespectful things when it comes to productions like Hazbin since Viv is not a small creator with no power. She and her team have ultimate authority over the show’s events, and those plans will not be derailed by what is basically some random tumblr artist’s fanart/fanfiction.

In regards to the critical side of things, that kinda comes with consuming and digesting the messages and presentation of a work of art. Ideally, it should get people to discuss in this capacity, especially when it deals with such sensitive subject matter as Hazbin does (and especially when it is executed with evidently problematic notions which do bleed into the designs at times).

Still, I do think this trend can be disrespectful if the intention and presentation are made with an aggressive holier-than-thou attitude which explicitly seeks to one-up the creator. Though I understand where it comes from, I think that can be just straight, undiluted maliciousness with a generous helping of pretentious, self-appointed superiority. And I don’t think it’s necessary to pick apart the style itself. You don’t have to like it, of course, but I feel like stating your preference for one way of drawing over another and asserting it as if it were some objective truth antagonizes the entire point of individual artistic expression and personal taste. Criticize the lack of diversity (something which, I’d like to add, is not actually unique to Hazbin) and potentially problematic aspects, but not the style. Even then, it’s important to be constructive not destructive.

That being said, I don’t expect everyone to agree with me (especially if anyone who’s a die-hard fan finds this) Whether you do or not is on you, and that’s okay.

This is more a snippet of my thoughts than a fully developed rant. I just wanted to share where I’m at right now. There will be a part 2 to this expanding some of my feelings while also outlining where I might go from here because things are going on in my head, and I don’t actually know whether I will continue or not with this project. Right now, it feels like it’s drifting toward a more original direction (Charlie feels like an entirely different yet vaguely similar character and dang it I’m attached…It’s kinda weird lol) so….anyway—I digress.

AAAA hi!! Hunter and Ramona redesigns done :) also mild rework of Cerise and some othernotes under the cut!

All I changed was making her taller and making her shoulders wider to better reflect how she should look (based on her book description and also I just like it better for her lol).

I'm planning on going back and fixing some stuff on characters and doing a masterpost about it once I'm done with the main redesigns but I wanted to just fix that stuff about Cerise now to more clearly show her compared to Ramona. I also kinda wanna go back and give Cerise shorts instead and sorta cut the skirt in half the same way that one fabric piece is but I'll probably do that when I fix the rest of them :)

I wanted to make Cerise slightly taller than Ramona (thank you discord people for making me think about that), and under the clothes Cerise also has slightly wider shoulders. I feel like that adds a little bit of extra interest to the dynamic of Ramona being the big bad wolf for her, and I tried to sort of show that Ramona is compensating for it a bit with the big fluffy shawl and the slightly higher platforms on her shoes. Anyways this is a lot more than I usually write on these posts and I should probably stop, thanks if you read all of it lmao.

I was brainstorming ways to make Marinette (and everyone else) keeping Gabriel's identity from Adrien work.

What if, in S5, Lila was redeemed and Felix was set up as the future antagonist? Of course, S5 would have to be majorly reworked but the basic concept for just Lila is:

Lila is fired by Gabriel earlier, being devastated by fading back into a nobody (no mastermind stunts). Marinette talks to her and they build a awkward connection.

Lila becomes more honest to the class but doesn't reveal her previous lies. She simply acknowledges that making unkeepable promises could backfire, like with Gabriel.

Lila finds out about Marinette's identity through her perception of lies and reveals Gabriel's identity (+ maybe some stolen floor plans or something).

After the finale, Marinette is torn on revealing Gabriel's identity to the public & Adrien and confides in Lila, the only other person who knows and boy is that unlucky.

The thing is Lila's concept of good is still undeveloped, more logic and less empathy. To her, the main focus is keep everyone happy. 1/4 because it's "right" to see smiles and 3/4 because it's "smart" with the Butterfly still active. So, Lila recommends keeping it a secret.

Marinette is still hesitant but decides it would be best to keep it a secret, if only while the Butterfly is still active.

The main point of making Lila the sharer of knowledge is that she feels no obligation towards Adrien and (well-intentionally) encourages Marinette to feel the same way.

Also, no one knows Adrien is a sentimonster. Kagami isn't involved, so the only available person would be Nathalie and she can be written off as indefinitely comatose. As for Felix, Gabriel's identity and the human sentimonsters should be brought up in S6.

Ideally, Felix reveals to Adrien that he is a sentimonster near the beginning of the season and Adrien learns to accept it at the end of the season. Then, Marinette recognizes Adrien's maturity and shares Gabriel's identity with him.

I like elements of this, but I think season five is too late in the game to redeem Lila without it being a major story arc that spans at least half a season. You could have done it after season one, maybe even season two, but season three made her way too evil without adding any complexity to her character, which is very much needed for people to see her in a sympathetic light.

I don't think most viewers would be satisfied by her lies staying a secret, either. I know I wouldn't, but I think you could potentially rework that element? Have her exposed and ostracized and that be what leads her and Marinette to become tentative allies? Maybe Lila is desperate for revenge on Gabriel to the point that she no longer cares about Marinette because Marinette has really done nothing noteworthy to Lila (why does this show love giving people baseless vendettas against Marinette?) and Lila knows Marinette will do anything for Adrien, so Lila recruits Marinette to help her? It would be hard to pull off, but not impossible.

I do like Felix being the new big bad more than Lila, though. However, he's going to suffer from the same issue Gabriel does unless you nerf the peacock. Namely the issues of the character's power set being way too overpowered for them to come across as smart while still losing every battle. You could potentially get around that if Felix refuses to make sentimonsters, though? But then you'd need to come up with a way to keep him threatening. It's a hard balance to strike with the peacock. The butterfly is much easier to nerf. For the peacock, I just flat out redesign it because of all the issues it introduces and I was doing that long before the senti nonsense.

I wanna put way more focus on the dragon and I actually wanted it to physically be the way the magic dimension is built up

I also am changing up the relationships when it comes to the main group I don’t want it to be season 1 and 2 and boom everyone has a boyfriend.. i want it to be more spread out and explore more ideas for some of them

I’m planning on keeping the main aspects of each season intact like the villains and main premise until like season 6 because i want some more characters to have their individual moments

I also didn’t kill off nabu i killed off riven but he’s not a walking red flag in my rewrite so it’s probably still gonna hurt

In my rewrite musa goes by muse because i wanted to break up the all names end with a thing going on and i also have muse go mostly by he/ they pronouns

I’m keeping chimera because honestly we need more found family and i just don’t want the illusion of stella’s parents getting back together to be a thing i can make them goth and trendy siblings it will be fun.

I also wanna work in more lore on where the boys are from and where the trix are from.

I have been putting a lot of effort into reworking zenith and melody at the moment really working out how i wanna build their culture so that can reflect in how characters look and react

And im writing in the existence of fairy animals from the start with it so i can expand the ecosystems of the magic dimension!

Now for some juicy character lore bits

Daphne and valtor will have a history but they are very different from their original counterparts in my rewrite

I’m keeping professor palladium closer to his season one design cuz i honestly prefer it

I’m keeping diaspro and I actually made her a specialist and not a fairy cuz no more boys can’t be fairies and girls can’t be paladins I’M GIVING HER A SWORD!

The trix are gonna get more casual outfits because we were robbed

I gave tecna a hearing aid and tecna also can’t fly I’m limiting her to gliding as a reference to her paraglider wings in season 1 and also just cuz i feel it’s more interesting to have diversity in battle styles.

Furthermore i changed artu into a shiba because they are known for their strong personalities and i get wanting to give the dog eye brows for expression but why didn’t they just pick a breed that had more natural looking brow like markings 😭😭

Roxy WILL be getting every transformation because i like to draw and i love roxy she deserves more!

And although i love tecna and timmy they are the only official mc pairing that isn’t canon in my rewrite and idk if it will be due to my zenith rework. THEY DO INTERACT I JUST WANNA TRY OTHER THINGS WITH TECNA!

Hi Jess! Do we need to choose every flirt option in order to successfully romance our favorite RO?

Sometimes the non flirt choices resonate better with me. My favorite is the fidget choice in Chapter 2. That whole scene with Hades can be really wholesome and adorable especially if the PC has a similar stim.

I worry that I may be put on Hades platonic path if I don’t have enough romance points. I hope this makes sense. I tend to ramble a lot! Thank you in advance!

You don't need to ever outright flirt with them, actually. At least not as the game currently is. The plan is for at some point each RO/PO to have a discussion with the PC about what their relationship is. Whether you end up on the romance version of the path or the platonic one will most likely be decided by the answers you give there.

Though, in fairness, that part of the game design is still a bit up in the air. Regardless, though, you won't ever have to hit every single flirt opportunity to move into the romance. That's definitely not going to be what it's about.

(My romance system may in fact be in for quite a redesign before publication. Moving away from anything resembling a 'points' threshold and generally lessening the number of flirt options early on, towards a personality-based system... but that's going to require a rework of my personality variables, too, so you can see how it's hard to describe it just yet.)

(P.S. Before I get a bunch of asks worried about whether a PC with X character trait will still be able to romance their preferred RO, the answer is still yes. For all X. It just may look a little different.) :)
