Plastic Surgery in India
Tumblr media
Plastic surgery is a branch of medicine that deals with the restoration, reconstruction, or alteration of the human body.
Types
It is a broad field that encompasses many different types of procedures, including:
Aesthetic surgery: This type of surgery is performed to improve a person's appearance. Common aesthetic procedures include rhinoplasty (nose reshaping), blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery), breast augmentation, and liposuction.
Reconstructive surgery: This type of surgery is performed to repair or reconstruct a part of the body that has been damaged or deformed by injury, disease, or birth defect. Common reconstructive procedures include breast reconstruction after mastectomy, cleft lip and palate repair, and burn surgery.
Microsurgery: This type of surgery uses very small instruments and techniques to repair or reconstruct small structures in the body. Microsurgery is often used in reconstructive surgery, such as to reattach a severed finger or to repair a damaged nerve.
Symptoms:
There are no specific symptoms of plastic surgery. However, some people may experience pain, swelling, bruising, or numbness in the area of the surgery.
Causes:
Plastic surgery is typically performed for cosmetic or reconstructive reasons. Cosmetic surgery is performed to improve a person's appearance, while reconstructive surgery is performed to repair or reconstruct a part of the body that has been damaged or deformed.
Diagnosis:
A plastic surgeon will typically perform a physical examination and discuss the patient's goals for the surgery. The surgeon may also order imaging tests, such as an MRI or CT scan, to assess the extent of the damage or deformity.
Treatments:
The specific treatment for plastic surgery will vary depending on the type of procedure being performed. However, some common treatments include:
Incision: An incision is made in the skin to access the area of the surgery.
Excision: Tissue may be removed from the area of the surgery.
Implants: Implants may be used to add volume or structure to the area of the surgery.
Grafts: Grafts of tissue from another part of the body may be used to repair or reconstruct the area of the surgery.
Risks:
The risks of plastic surgery vary depending on the type of procedure being performed. However, some common risks include:
Infection: The incision site may become infected.
Bleeding: There may be bleeding from the incision site.
Scarring: There may be scarring at the incision site.
Allergic reaction: The patient may have an allergic reaction to the anesthesia or the materials used in the surgery.
Procedure:
The specific procedure for plastic surgery will vary depending on the type of procedure being performed. However, some common steps in plastic surgery include:
Anesthesia: The patient will be given anesthesia to numb the area of the surgery.
Incision: An incision is made in the skin to access the area of the surgery.
Surgery: The surgeon performs the desired procedure.
Sutures: The incision is closed with sutures.
Bandages: The incision is bandaged.
Recovery:
The recovery time for plastic surgery varies depending on the type of procedure being performed. However, some common steps in recovery include:
Rest: The patient will need to rest after the surgery.
Ice: The incision site may be iced to reduce swelling and pain.
Elevation: The incision site may be elevated to reduce swelling and pain.
Bandages: The incision will be bandaged.
Sutures: The sutures will be removed after a few days.
Success rate:
The success rate of plastic surgery varies depending on the type of procedure being performed. However, most plastic surgery procedures are successful in achieving the desired results.
Cost in India:
The cost of plastic surgery in India varies depending on the type of procedure being performed and the surgeon's fees. However, plastic surgery is generally more affordable in India than in other countries.

hooooly fcking shit i have to tell yall smth nuts, WARNING there r semi detailed mentions AND A PIC of HUGE SYRINGES / NEEDLES
oookay so last month nyc got a heat wave and it was SO hot i was a sweaty gorl and not happy abt it, like hate summer too?? and then i remembered watching korean tv and these celebs were talking abt how they got underarm BOTOX cuz that stops you from sweating??? and i was like huh should i try that? but after doing some research, its not permanent. like hello im not gonna spend $ and have needles in my PITS for it to last a few months u kno?? but then i found this laser thing called miradry which is permanent, like its mainly used to treat hyperhydrosis which i dont even have so i thought the results would be stellar for regular ol' me right?? and they make it sound soo painless like "u can do it in ur lunchbreak and go back to work!" bruh u absolutely cannot go back to work after this LMFAO so i went to this veteran nyc med dude to do it today and HOLY SHIT IT HURT LIKE A MF-ER LIKE ACTUALLY WTF
so before they can go in w the laser they have to numb ur whole ass pit by injecting numbing fluid(?) which also protects ur nerves ok got it. i was expecting like. a normal shot right? hell no. so first i think they prelim numb u with a normal syringe shot business it was fine. BUT THEN THEY TAKE OUT THIS SHIT?
Tumblr media
i swear to GOD it was the biggest mfing syringe i have ever seen in my LIFE i wish i took a pic so u guys can believe me, the needle was THICK AS FCK and also like TWICE as long as the pic above like for real it was at least a 4 inch needle i wish i was exaggerating but it was comically long & big i was like what the f? obvs i couldnt SEE what was going on but it FELT LIKE the whole 4 inches was going INTO my skin over and over again cuz u have to inject that fluid all over everywhere it was sooo crazy, the doc was basically f*king my armpits with this needle, AND!!!!! THEY PUT 3 FRICKIN SYRINGES WORTH OF FLUID!!! ON EACH SIDE??? HELLOOOO!!!!!!! from a scale of 1 to 10 that was a solid 15 😐😐😐 the actual lasering part wasnt bad, it felt like a crazy hard pinch with HEAT in some parts but i was so taken aback by that needle action, the laser part was negligible. i was such a champ for it tho like didnt even bat an eye outwardly, the tech was like wow ur the first person i've done that didnt even flinch. yes i didnt show it naruto ninja style but that was nuts yall u guys rly Did That LOL
needless to say, since a FCKTON of fluid is in my damb PITS they are sooo swollen, like the upper inner arm, the pit itself, underneath it nxt to ur b00b its frickin whack over there 😐 like tell me how my armpits have jiggle physics. thats full of water babey!!!! oh my god they are sooo sore and painful kms the hubris of it all i shouldve been ok w a normal amount of sweat LOLOL like appropriate levels for the heat but dambbb i rly tried it🤣🤣🤣🤣💀💀💀💀 yall there needs to be a disclaimer do NOT get this shit done UNLESS u ACTUALLY have excess sweating that is actively ruining ur daily life because rn it feels like my armpits are in LABOR :) i just paid 2.3k to torture myself, but since its done & all, i hope im an armpit-sweatless bitch for the rest of my life

Six days ago I had my lower ffs procedure. Today, I got a lot of the wrappings, stints, and stitches off my nose and jaw/chin. I feel fantastic! I still have quite a bit of swelling on my jaw and bruising around my cheeks, but through continued icing and leaving my new nose alone. I'll be feeling invincible! 😆

Obviously plastic surgery is about the person getting the surgery and nobody else. They can do whatever they want and I truly hope they're doing it for the right genuine reasons and not societal pressure and shitty beauty standards. And I hope they feel great and confident and in love with the results. But the way some people change everything that made them unique and interesting looking in order to look like Generic Rando #5 is so weird to me...

I’ve been slacking ~shocker~ I know. It’s hard I can’t lie. The summer is all about iced coffee and ice cream, sweet little treats, patio season. It’s hard to resist. I’m trying not to break my own balls and remind myself that life is about “balance” but fuck it’s hard. I remind myself that I didn’t spend thousands of dollars to fuck up my progress by stuffing my face. The problem is where I live has been a catastrophic heat wave. It’s so hot that just by being outside for 5 minutes will leave you drenched. I have to think about a lot. Not just my body but my skin. It’s easier to just be a fat couch potato than go outside.
But that all changes this new week.
It’s a big week for me. On Tuesday I get IPR done to my teeth. I’ve been waiting 16 years for this. IPR is where they shave your teeth on the sides. Can’t wait to actually have straight teeth. My teeth are the one feature that I constantly get complimented on. Invisalign is taking it to another level. I also want to start a meal plan that I used back in 2019. I used to go to the gym 6x a week and eat 100% clean with this meal plan. I was absolutely tiny. It’s wild for me because I remember at the time I still thought I was fat lol my problem is having sweets in the house. If it’s outside the house I’m good. But once I have cookies or ice cream in the house I will devour it. The reason I’m restarting this meal plan is because portion sizing is killing me. I’m going to have to start measuring my meals again. I’m doing this because I’m going on vacation in September and I want to not only be in the best shape of life but I want to eat everythingggggg. This is a country where culinary arts are top tier.
I wear the faja overnight. I took a two week break from wearing it about 2.5 months post op. I know I should wear it more just for the curbing of the appetite aspect but with this heat it just makes it hard to breath. Pro tip: don’t get your surgery in the summer lol
This is my last week of “club Pilates” and my personal trainer on vacation. I’m ready to join a real Pilates studio or better yet start doing privates. I still get lymphatic drainage massages once I week. I really like the girl who does them so I’ll just continue for her.
As you get older life and experience start weighing on you. That’s why you gain weight, develop wrinkles, etc. the youth really is wasted on the young. I was at the mall and all the girl are wearing tiny white crop tops with either denim shorts or tennis skirts. They are tiny. Size zero, perfect ratios with no surgery. All because they are young. Then you see their moms and foresee what they will look like in the future. Not good. While genetics plays a huge role, taking care of yourself if a lifelong endeavor.

if you “recover” from an ED and then go on to get a bunch of plastic surgery.. you never actually recovered from the real issue (body dysmorphia) you just started eating again. Repairing your eating habits and truly recovering are not the same.

wisdom teeth recovery journey | d1-4
I got my wisdom teeth out this Friday - it was a pretty scary experience but it had to be done!
When I was in the process of applying to medical school, so many people asked me why I wouldn’t consider dentistry instead. My honest answer? Teeth make me so uncomfortable! Looking at the Xray of my OWN teeth with all the roots made me feel uneasy.
My teeth were completely impacted and at a 90 degree angle. The dentist also said that there was a gap between the wisdom teeth and my other teeth, meaning that it was imperative to get them out ASAP. I got them all out at once, it took almost 3 hours for the entire process, and this was done under LA.
The surgery wasn’t too scary. The only painful bit was the anaesthesia injections. Afterwards, I couldn’t feel much other than the pressure and I could hear the constantly drilling of my teeth! Once everything was done, I got 2 pieces of gauze of bite on, a pack of painkillers and antibiotics to munch on.
day 1
The first thing I did was go to the supermarket to buy some jelly! My mouth was so numb that I couldn’t feel anything and couldn’t manage to swallow - blood was dripping from my lips onto my favourite shirt.
When I reached home, I started a fever, and so I propped myself up at a 45 degree angle (as recommended by the internet to reduce swelling), and went to bed for the rest of the day. It was really painful to move my mouth to speak or swallow initially, but I finally choked down some water for my painkillers and antibiotics. My mom bought me lots of soy milk and blackcurrant juice, and I survived off that for the day.
day 2
Still really swollen and sore - I felt like a Lego figurine with a square head! I spent most of the day dozing off and recovering, but also managed to choke down some rice congee and Japanese grape flavoured jellies. At this point, I hadn’t brushed my teeth for 2 days and my mouth tasted absolutely terrible. I was also told not to rinse my mouth, so I could just taste so much blood and I hated it.
day 3
This is when things started looking up! I managed to challenge myself with more food - I was absolutely starved for proper food at this point. My dentist recommended 2 weeks of a soft diet, but I really needed food. For breakfast, I had lots of almond milk and chocolate milk, and ripped some soft bread rolls into bite sized pieces. For lunch, my family headed to a Chinese restaurant and the food was amazing! I had some seafood broth with white rice, a little bit of tofu and some duck by chopping everything up into manageable bits and chomping with my front teeth. For dinner, I had pumpkin soup with a bread roll. Unfortunately, I had a pounding headache and my stomach was hurting so much from my improper eating and sleeping schedule in the last few days, so I took some painkillers and retired to bed really early. It was a tough night!
day 4
The first thing my mom said to me this morning was: you can speak! The soreness and swelling has gone down, and I’m feeling braver about trying new foods. For breakfast, my mom headed to a brunch place where I ordered some soup and had an iced tea. The iced tea was so good, I had it with almond milk & lots of caramelised sugar. I also had a vegan banana bread that I devoured.
I don’t know if it’s because of my teeth, but I get so tired so easily! After our brunch adventure, I went home to rest for a little bit, and had some chocolate almond milk & soft chocolate bread for lunch. For dinner, I felt really really brave! I made some frozen fried food in the air fryer and I could feel my stitches at the back of my mouth. I also finally dared to brush my teeth yesterday and today, just extremely gingerly. I also rinsed my mouth. I’ve been told you can’t spit out anything, so I just let the water drip out of my mouth in an unsightly fashion.
overall
The one very good thing about getting all your wisdom teeth out at a time is that you’ll never have to do it again, ever! Although with my luck, it’s entirely possible that new teeth are already growing in.
Just kidding! But I’m glad that I got this done and it wasn’t too torturous an experience. Just be prepared to give yourself lots of slack and rest, and to give up your favourite foods for a couple of days.
Some lifesavers was having an abundance of milk and sweet drinks by my side, and lots of pillows to prop yourself up in bed.
how did your wisdom teeth removal journey go? if you haven’t done it, what are some questions you have? and if you don’t have wisdom teeth, how does it feel like to be part of a favoured group?
That’s all from me, and all the best to everyone!
Love, Hellycatto <3

What is Gynecomastia Surgery Recovery Like?
Gynecomastia is a condition affecting men of all ages, causing enlarged breast tissues because of hormonal imbalance. However, there are treatments available to eliminate the symptoms of this surgery, i.e. gynecomastia surgery. Gynecomastia surgery, also called male breast reduction, is a life-changing procedure for men. Like any other cosmetic surgery, it is vital to keep the recovery process in mind.
Tumblr media
In this post, we will discuss what recovery involves in gynecomastia surgery. To make this guide informative for readers, we have gathered insights from expert plastic surgeon, Dr. Medha Bhave, who is known for offering gynecomastia surgery cost in Thane that is affordable for one, at her clinic, Laser Cosmesis.
What Should I Expect During Gynecomastia Recovery?
1. Having Showers: It is completely fine to get the stitches wet after gynecomastia surgery, and the patient can bathe right after the surgery. However, it is important to keep the scars and incisions clean to avoid any chances of infections. The surgeon will recommend aftercare instructions for quick healing.
2. Discomfort: It is completely normal to experience some discomfort after gynecomastia surgery. This could involve swelling or soreness, which will go away within a few days. The surgeon could also prescribe medication to help with this.
3. Resuming Work: After the male breast reduction procedure, one needs to rest for a maximum of 7 days, depending on how complex the surgery is. However, if the work requires heavy movement, one might require more time away from work to make sure they are ready.
4. Exercises: The patient will have to avoid strenuous exercises such as weight training for six weeks. However, light exercises are still possible. The surgeon, however, recommends low-impact cardio, such as walking for quick healing.
5. Driving: The plastic surgeon does not recommend the patient to drive for 72 hours after the gynecomastia surgery. This is because anesthesia is given to the patient. Therefore, the patient must have someone around them who can drive them back home.
Gynecomastia Surgery Timeline
The patient may experience swelling and soreness in the first few days post-surgery. The surgeon could recommend painkiller medication to help with any discomfort. The results can be seen right after the surgery. The patient can also be given a compression garment that they might have to wear to keep the area secure and help the body heal. They will have to sleep on their back during this period.
Tumblr media
The patient will be given a compression garment that they will have to wear to keep the area secure and help the body heal. During the first week, the patient might start feeling more comfortable and the swelling will reduce noticeably. They must continue to wear the compression garment and should avoid exercises that target the chest muscles. However, they can resume most of their daily activities and can engage in lower-body exercises.
During the sixth week, the patient will recover fully. They will be able to return to almost all activities as before. The surgeon will no longer advise them to wear a compression garment, and they will notice that the scars will fade considerably.
Final Takeaway
Hope you have understood what gynecomastia is and what is involved in its recovery. If one is interested in getting gynecomastia surgery, one can schedule a consultation with Dr. Medha Bhave, the best plastic surgeon in Thane, at Laser Cosmesis. With effective gynecomastia surgery, she offers patients a path to increased confidence and comfort in their own skin.
