Can we talk about how “Uncle Buck” was never a thing before Jee-Yun? I mean, if we analyze the facts, we’ll see that Buck has been there for Eddie and Chris pretty much since day one. He cooks, he cleans, he plays with him, he stays overnight, takes him when Eddie’s busy, takes him to places, gives him gifts and helps when he’s not feeling well, I mean he LITERALLY saved him from a tsunami -and nearly killed himself trying to find him-. This shit is so fucking canon Eddie added Buck to his WILL, he told him “there’s no one I trust with my son more than you” over the women that he allegedly cared for and loved so much… we never hear anything remotely close to uncle or “friend of the family”. Even in the crossover when Eddie talks to Marjan about Buck helping him build the skateboard, he never explains who Buck is (which, if I were in that situation, I’d say “this blonde dude, yeah he’s like family too”), he simply says Buck, because that on ITSELF (!!!!) says it all. Y’all can give me all the shit y’all want but Uncle Buck was never a thing before Jee-Yun, because he was never an uncle before. He was a dad. A co-parent. And if he was a woman, Eddie & him would’ve been together long before all our crazy asses decided to even come here so that’s that on that & goodnight

ok but chims bachelor party had so much potential for buddie accidental marriage and like. it still could do. imagine season 10 they get engaged and days before the wedding the officiant goes “uhhh hey guys. so apparently you’re already married?” and buck and eddie are like. what. and the guy goes through his notes like “yep. may 2nd 2024” and they’re like. well. tf do we do now. they tell everybody they can’t get married and reluctantly reveal why. hen laughs in their faces. they throw a party anyway. later that night buck is cuddling with eddie in bed and suddenly bolts up going “oh my god i was cheating on YOU with TOMMY!”

Ngl I sometimes have moments when I’m like “maybe we truly are hallucinating buddie” but then I think about “you can have my back any day”, “you two have an adorable son”, “there’s no one I trust more with my son than you”, “wanna go for the title?”, the live stream comments on how they should be a couple, the lawsuit era, the will, the domesticity, the couch, 3 minutes and 17 seconds, the way they look at each other, the parallels between them and canon couples, and all the other stuff that I can’t think of rn cause there’s literally so many. Like I’ve never seen a ship do it like buddie they’re one of a kind

I've seen alot of takes from both toxic fh truthers and fh shippers that Scott will never ever get over Jimmy and will obsess over him until he dies forever which. I don't fault anyone for asserting considering that fucker has two jokes and one of them is lolol remember fh But. I think there's something to be said about how Scott has shown time and time again he really is not in love with any personal qualities Jimmy possesses (quite the opposite actually, he seems to find Jimmy obnoxious more often than not during third life including when Jimmy is not really even doing anything) but is rather entranced with the romantic fantasy that Jimmy brings.

Jimmy is, after all, young and pretty and in love and someone he feels relies on him and lets him feel useful so it's not hard to assign him as husband and leave it at that. I don't think Scott is quite in love with Jimmy tbh but I do think he's very much in love with his husband (jimmy). If that makes sense.

With that in mind, I think it's then fascinating when you look at the universes where FH assumably never existed or where he is able to find a replacement for his romantic fantasy relationship. Witchcraft Scott has Milo and Rat Scott has his weird platonic(????) thing with Owen and Pirate Scott focused on his brother instead, Scott tends to actually move on pretty well and adjust to being more. Chill.

Now then if I said last life Scott almost got to this point with his thing with GGG and Pearl specifically challenging his worldview. And then he fucked it all up. Then

something me and a friend talked about recently relating to the bestiary entries is the inconsistencies within them and how they relate to the characters. like, obviously the jester log is the first one that comes to mind, being:

very clearly written by sigurd, with the danger level and general tone being indicative of his writing. right. okay. but then there's the nutcracker entry.

on a first glance, this seems to just be a lackluster bestiary entry, or rather "scientific record". however! one important difference is the lack of scientific name. every single scannable entity has a (sensical) scientific name in its entry, save for these two entries. the lack of scientific name in the nutcracker entry signifies it is NOT an official record... which would explain both its short nature and the lack of scientific name. but it isn't sigurd - it's WAY too formal for his writing.

so i was talking about this to said buddy, and it suggests, well, what if desmond wrote it? the tone fits, and he's the only other character that's really been shown to care about the terminal. and i feel like this has quite the interesting implications for how it came about. why, exactly, did desmond write it? why would sigurd not have written it? considering his fixation on writing notes in the terminal on creatures and how to avoid or deal with them, i think that he didn't really have a choice. i think, that the last line of the entry being so intuitive on the nutcracker's workings was no coincidence. and i think that it may give a bit of insight on sigurd's untimely fate.

First of all, his voice actor in advent children???

The new remake one is excellent but just doesn't capture that same level of terrifying cultured menace. The smug evenness and it's DEEP wow yeah. So smooth. High key petrifying I don't know who he is but he did an outstanding job. That bit where he asks cloud to 'give him the pleasure of taking it away?' like the way his voice lilted up in casual question like good GRIEF that was hot.

Anyway I have another hc: sephiroth would have made an EXCELLENT scientist like his parents, he's certainly got the intellect and hunger for knowledge, not to mention his ability to do research for days on end XD. Supernova actually using astrophysics equations is absolutely fantastic and makes me think that's what he'd major in.

By that logic, he'd want to be in rocket town with the rocket, and he'd most definitely want to go to space himself if it was the last thing he did (ha).

Do you think he'd tie his hair back like his mum?

Anyway I imagine if he hadn't been a soldier and instead been free to choose his own path he'd have been right there the whole time being a child genius and getting into fights with cid about who gets to be the pilot (Co pilots. Co pilots is how it's supposed to work with normal planes never mind things that breach the atmosphere).

Like I understand the amount of redemption/fix it fics that have him be a merc with cloud or whatever but I feel we're ignoring the possibilities stemming from the fact this man canonically knows modern astrophysics and that is absolutely not something you can inherit via way of ancient inhuman semi deceased life form.

my beloved mutuals you are all doing yourselves a disservice by not giving kdramas and cdramas a chance. there's literally a show where a ghost king and the ex-leader of a spy organization who has three years left to live become so immediately obsessed with each other upon meeting that they adopt each other's adopted children and live together as a family. at one point the ex-spy leader gets tortured with meat hooks. he's such a pillow princess the ghost king threatens to leave him cause he keeps not doing any of the household chores. they keep selling their souls for each other. there's an entire political plot going on in the background with the stakes to tear down their world as they know and they just don't fucking care. they call each other their soulmate and there's an entire scene where all they do is look into each other's eyes and repeatedly say the other's name because it's good to have someone to call. chinese censorship doesn't allow them to be more explicit because showing gay people on tv is fucking illegal so they mouth "ai ni" which means "I love you" without audio instead. they're the ultimate battlefield couple. they're the biggest bastards in the world. they're childhood friends. they're immortal nightmares.

ok ok hear me out I just had a Buddie thought that ruined me, so basically there’s this show called Diary of a Future president, where Bobby has a crush on his friend Liam, Liam dates a girl and Bobby figures there’s nothing and ends up going out with this other guy and tells his friends including Liam and it’s all cool, at the end of the season, their other friend mentions the guy that Bobby had a crush on back before the new guy and how he must be totally over it, and Liam realises it was him and is all *surprised pikachu face* in a ‘he definitely could be into Bobby in return’ kinda way. So now, imagine, Buck has his whole coming out and all that, however Eddie reacts idk but it turns out all cool, but then at the end of the season Eddie overhears like Buck or somebody talking about how Eddie definitely was a big part of Buck’s queer awakening and Eddie is all: *gay surprise*

1. Eddie is my favorite face. That man is gorgeous af.

2. Buck is my favorite character. He is so adorable and I just want to hug him.
