I wished usamericans weren't so dismissive of the cultural plurity in europe though...

like i barely have things in common with france or germany or the uk... and i don't think it's bad to point this out... europe is not a monolith... not even spain is a monolith !!! We have different and diverse traditions depending on the region...

I wished conversations around usamerican hegemony and their tendency of projecting their cultural practices onto everyone else wasn't obscured by "um ackshually you guys are also racist" which like. True !!!! And i do think it's worth discussing!!!

But also i dont relate to any usamerican christmas traditions and im tired of them acting like it's a universal experience !!!! Spanish holidays and traditions are already being changed in favour of commodifying usa and british practices🚬

i wished the holidays and customs and traditions that have been celebrated for hundreds of years by my ancestors and family weren't being lost through time in favour of an unfamiliar culture...

Who & What are the Gods?

Okay! So, you want to work with and/or worship a deity. That’s absolutely, positively amazing; and I truly in my heart of hearts believe you should do that. Once you’ve done extensive research on who they are, what they do, their mythologies, possibly some cultural history; and you know what, let’s throw in some research on the current state of wherever they’ve originated from!

With that all out of the way; I have a question. And I’ll be opening the floor to anybody and everybody who wants to answer this question of mine. My question is as follows; who and what are the Gods? I’m asking this question simply because I get a whole bunch of dirty looks, and people tell me my belief just “can’t be true,” almost as if they are saying it’s impossible for my belief to be true.

If you are wondering what my belief is, I’ll tell you. Personally, I think the Gods are just something that the ancient “humans”, way before we could document the first ever cave drawings, manifested(?) I’m not sure if that’s the right word for this, but please hear me out. I believe this because why would any all-powerful being want to be in a place where they are not believed in by all the inhabitants, first of all; and second of all, why would they want to aid us in any way, shape or form? By nature, us humans are parasitic. It’s gotten to the point where we’ve caused visible changes in our home planet; I mean, we’re destroying the ecosystems of countless animals, plants, and other humans… shall I go on? So, because no one wants(or even can) take the blame for causing our planet to slowly become an uninhabitable inferno; because it truly was and still is a collective, group effort… the gods were created to “save us from ourselves.”  I’m not saying I don’t believe in them, because I do! But, the way we go about them, how we talk to/about them; that portion does not make sense to me. And, I’d like to hear everybody else's opinions!

more Struggling™ with origin thoughts.

I've realized over time that shit that I went through in my childhood does "count" as trauma and continues to affect me to this day. And it was even at an 'early enough' stage of my life. And yet I know literally the exact day I heard of tulpamancy and the exact day I decided to form Jay (from diaries), and that was about 4 yrs ago when I was in high school. So we're not traumagenic.

However since then we've had the rest of our headmates form from nowhere except basically stress. So it's like I had to open the gate for my brain to use plurity as a coping mechanism. BUT another part of me wonders if I did have "plural tendencies" (dunno how to phrase it) as a child but not realize it? Cuz I remember things like getting entirely lost in my own head to the point of phasing out reality around me, or things like looking in the mirror and being surprised I had a different body than in my head. But I don't have any headmates from before Jay. Closest I had was a very very personified plushie but she's not exactly around anymore, plus it normal for kids to talk to a teddy bear or whatever.

Honestly the whole 'endogenics are secretly traumagenic' narrative might just be messing me up and making me search for things that aren't there, but I need to write it all down instead of just letting it tumble around in my brain. I'm probably grasping at straws to feel more valid or something. Idk. I'm also very sleepy right now so I should head off to bed but a certain headmate suddenly has a lot of creative drive so lmao we'll see.
