Thinking about team crimson again. This happens frequently its something of a curse of mine

Something i dont think we give crimson credit for is that he has in fact literally beaten dani in a fight more than once. It wasn't purely on his own power but it has happened. Crimson has a reputation for being kinda shit at fighting because he never does it by himself, always via proxies and hosts and whatnot, but like. Demonstrably with the right host hes Not Bad At It. Even with just his pokemon hes just kind of mid. With crimsonaut and a favorable ruleset he swept a tournament when crimsonaut by himself/in their early partnership couldn't beat GOOGLE PLUS in a fight. He took a game off Dani in hamhel's body and a game off her in val's, neither of whom have beaten her alone. Its just that both of those happened in season one and didnt end up mattering and every time hes lost to her its been such an embarrassing steamroll that we dont even think about it. Even his outside-battle victories like successfully distracting her with mark and malfunctioning machines while shantae was supposed to be killing sans end up not mattering due to happenstance.

But that captain crimson grudge match in season one fascinates me. In CPUK Reboot/10, Capn Crimson is very happy to have dani as a partner- has no issue with losing as long as she wins for them both, even bragging to his former host about the fact shes going to when hamhel finishes him off in losers. But when 11 rolls in, Crimson clearly becomes aware pretty quickly Dani isnt interested in being a team player and then is in the process of betraying him, (she isnt exactly being subtle about it she was pretty upfront about planning to kick his ass in finals the fact that we even call this a long con is overwhelmingly generous to Dani in retrospect. as johannsen says shes a fighter not a thinker,) but they start conflicting after she stops him from landing an attack on Rights, he challenges her to a spar, and when he wins (and its not even that close!!!) he just. Picks her back up. And they keep going like nothing happened. Like he just did that to let her get it out of her system. And Dani seems so MAD about it. The commentators later try to explain it as her deliberately throwing to get his guard down, but that. Doesnt really add up. Danth says it got worse after she beat crimson, but even back then she was depicted as someone who gets Very Very Mad about losing and people throwing in a serious competition. And that doesnt explain capn crim writing her team-killing off as just her being a gloryhound and then trying to????

Check in on her and kind of pleading with her to talk to him about why she's acting like this????????

To which she responds by ignoring him and telling the ref to start the match????????????????

You can vc and shit this game too and it was very very popular. You could choose whether to be a normie or an outcast, there were several jobs that one can take and quests with challenges.

Overall a really fun game bc you can either play with friends and build a land with them or play solo and try to complete everything

Think of uh, genshin! But you can customize and level up your character + it being constantly multi-player unless you go to your own private land that you can buy or get from quests

you can also unlock elusive powers as an outcast if you complete certain quests as well.

So it starts with Pugsley who starts badgering to thirteen year old Wednesday to join him in playing the game

Wednesday joins begrudingly, tired of all his incessant whining and also because the words of player killing caught her attention

Enid, whos been playing with pugsley is interested immedietely when the two log in. Going !? And circling the newcomer

Wednesday immedietely plays chase and that's the start of a new friendship, with Enid going !?!!!! And Wednesday pulling out her starter knife bc she's supposed to kill this monster

Enid's character is obviously a werewolf, one of the most famous race type in Jericho but there's a catch

Due to high demand, the devs has given a roll of chance to anyone who plays this race. Bc of this you could be an alpha, beta or cursed

Alpha's usually have a better chance to land a critical hit (aka better crit rate in their base form)

Beta is normal, your stats don't change.

Cursed are left unable to shift, which is an ability that all werewolves have where their crit dmg and crit rate is multiplied by two during full moons (which actually follows the irl moon cycle and there are usually combat events/bosses around then who drop really good loot)

This ability is really really good when you have the right artifacts and is part of the reason why so much people choose werewolves

Enid unfortunately, is a cursed and so she sulks with her amazing artifacts with the knowledge that it could be better if she just shifts

Continuing! Wednesday chose to be a psychic and ends up with the sub ability to summon ink creatures at her will. Aka be a beast tamer of some sort

The catch is, she has to kill the creature and subdue it first before she can acquire them into her slots. She is only allowed five creatures in battle so she has to choose carefully aswell

Being a beast tamer is pretty fun but it's lowkey like playing Pokémon so not alot of people liked to use it

Anyways abilities over

Wenclair plus pugsley go have fun, they start raiding dungeons, doing quests together until pugsley drops out from uninterest like a few months in

Enid understands, Wednesday doesn't care and so Wenclair continue their journey of beating absolute ass in this game because wednesday is competitive and Enid is happy to be there

They grind for the absolute best of artifacts and spend so much time on better weapons, it's almost like they're addicted

And honestly? Wednesday was having fun. There was a joy in being able to calculate how well you can do if you wear this goblet that raises your elemental dmg or if you lvl up this skill to a certain lvl you can beat absolutely everyone

(and maybe, planting lil carrots infront of Enid's house isnt so bad)

Enid while competitive, was having fun decorating her lil land far from Jericho. It was like a lil hobbit hole, with greens and vines and dim lighting because wednesday can never stand the bright lights that were originally hung up and vehemently refused to visit if they were there

"you're like a vampire!" Enid says in the in game comm

Wednesday tsks "a vampire who isn't afraid to pk you, Sinclair."

"you're so mean Willa," sinclair, Enid's username, whines.

Willa, Wednesday's own in game username, just hurls her dagger at the sulking blond.

Interesting, so it seems that in the second year anniversary of Jericho (when Wenclair are fourteen) the devs decided to have a lil romance for the lonely people and give the ability to marry

Why are Wenclair married? Well, obviously for the benefits. You get 3x the xp when doing quests, challenges and missions together, not to mention that the probability of getting better artifacts and quality quests skyrocket by 5 percent

Like sure you have to share land and divorcing means losing half your gold but it's fine!!

It's with the status of married does Wenclair stumble across a secret quest

The tale of Crackstone

By the third year (Wenclair are now 15) of playing and finishing of the tale, Enid's status as cursed shifts to bludhound.

They celebrate, theyre having fun and theyre practically a married couple. Wednesday insists to go to a dungeon and Enid wants to do a world quest instead

The two settle these disputes with any challenges. They're kids, theyre having fun and if Wednesday looks forward to spending time with Sinclair so much that she bought a pc for herself then that's for her to know.

It's been three years and theyre practically inseparable! The two playing everyday just to spend as much as time together

so, im both aro and ace (despite the amount of sex jokes and calling people hot, still asexual)

well, this is a long story, sorry in advance

so, im talking to this friend (A) here, he says something that is sooo aro-coded, and im like "this guy is probably aro-spec too and maybe he doesnt know so lets help a little" and i tell him to read loveles because 'the main character is very relatable', he ends up with him knowing about aro identities, he questioned his own sexuality before and he isnt aro, but with the 'very relatable' part i sold myself out as aro, and he wasnt arophobic (he literally said he almost used the label so) so it was okay

fast forward a year , we are talking, sexuality ends up as a topic, and i confess i didnt come up to anyone, the only people who knew were him and another friend who found out by accident (really supportive, even though im not sure that i was ready), he ask about this other friend of ours (B) and why i didnt come out to her, considering she is queer herself. i think im not ready to do that, both times i came out were not intentional and though it didnt end up badly still, not ready, also, my relationship with this friend is, well we mostly talk about gossip and all of her crushes, boyfriends, etc., basically it was purely sexual acts and romance, not my favourite topic of conversation but i we dont have anything in common outside shared memories (childhood besties) and school and we are both pretty unpopular so no more people) plus we never talk deep shit so i felt weird bring it up

few days later, the three of us were in class and talking about our teachers (and shipping them cause we are nosy), we get to his teacher and i say that i couldnt picture her with an special other and A says "like asexual, you mean", (it was more like aro but i didnt feel like explaining the difference plus i was panicking a little because i knew where this was going) and A countinues "B, what do you think of asexual people?", B says something in support, and then he asks me "[my name] do you know any asexual people in real life?" with a look on his face saying 'come out', i kinda evade the question so he asks B if she knew any, and B answers she had the theory that i was ace (i mean, she was right). i didnt know what to do so i made a joke "was it so obvious?"

i dont think i was ready to come out to her and i didnt want it to happen, but the conversation didnt end up bad, she was supportive but still i wasnt ready. i dont think it counts as getting outed because he just forced the conversation that way but didnt really say "[my name] is aroace", but i dont know of B hadnt mentioned her theory, would he had outed me?

i dont know how to feel, im basically venting, maybe do you have any advice for this situation?

I really don't think anyone should make you come out if you don't want to do it and it's supposed to be your choice so this sounds like something you should really talk about with friend A and explain to him that you didn't want to come out yet and that this wasn't okay. It is lucky that friend B was supportive though because this type of situation is even messier when the other person is not supportive. But even so it's still a gamble because most of the time you can't predict how someone will react and it's better to not take the risk of coming out to someone, let alone put someone else at risk. I hope you can talk this through with friend A

good morning. dealing with the ofmd s2 finale Badly.

idk im really upset. not because "bury your gays" or whatever, apparently theres people saying that shit? no thats not the issue here. everyone in this show is gay. what are you talking about.

its that izzy was like... the personification of the show's message. he opened up, he learned to love and be loved, he gave that entire speech to ricky which may as well have been the show's fucking thematic statement... and they killed him. he found love and joy and community and they killed him for it.

and then they had the nerve to put the words "ed, i want to go" into his mouth. no the fuck he does not. his entire dying monologue was so bad i genuinely don't even have the words to describe it. parts of it were wrong, parts were inconsistent, parts were straight up antithetical to the show, i cannot believe how badly they cocked this up. and then there were just randomly like 8 minutes left of the episode? as if nothing happened?

and what for? what fucking for? this was not a natural (or satisfying) fucking conclusion to his arc, no matter how much djenkins insists on it. izzy died for no fucking reason. none of the plot threads that his death was supposed to messily tie up needed him to die. he couldve become the new captain, this time accepted and loved and supported by his crew, calling back to s1. stede and ed couldve continued sailing and izzy couldve remained first mate. probably a bunch more stuff that i cant think of rn cuz im not terribly creative and also too upset. but i fundamentally believe izzy dying wouldve been a fucking terrible choice either way, no matter the execution.

this ending was a rushed hack job. im sure this isnt fully on the showrunners, but im hesistant to fully 'absolve' them of the blame for this either. i dont know. if theres ever a third season coming, i seriously doubt im gonna watch it. i dont think it should be cancelled or w/e but personally, this writing decision doesn leave me with much faith for a third season. plus obviously my favorite character is fucking dead so. yeah. thats my take after sleeping on it.

Okay. I struggled to come up with some topics to talk about for a while plus just issues through the entirety of this week. BUT I FIGURED IT OUT.

🔥 - PROMOS. tbh, promo's main use were to help roleplayers find other roleplayers, to spread the word about your blog and find more partners and people to make friends and broaden your experiences with learning about new and exciting fandoms. Now I just find them tedious, and annoying to make. if you aren't a popular blog the odds of your promo being reblogged and spread around is so minimal. it also just feels like clout chasing at this point. and yeah nothing wrong with reblogging your promo and having your friends hype you up, but then ppl wonder why they think the rpc is so alienating? cuz someone else will reblog their promo's expecting the same thing and they don't get it and then they feel left out. but if its just so you can get some nice thrown at you, it just feels like more clutter for my dash especially if I'm already following you. now if you're a NEW blog. if you just joined a fandom, and you want some exposure, I'm down for that because that is what a promo is supposed to be for.

🔥 - Personals. I actually like personals. sometimes personals care more about what I post than my own followers. i get ppl being upset if they reblog their threads, but liking your posts? and maybe reblogging a headcanon or something but idk i guess for me that stuff just doesn't bother me. I love when people reblog my headcanon and they agree. or they add onto it, with their own thoughts. or they tell me how much they love it. makes me feel seen. makes me feel cool. i just think people forget that tumblr is NOT a roleplay site. yes, we found a use to tailor it to our hobby, that doesn't mean everyone who comes across our blogs know that. they arent apart of our community, what makes you think they have to abide our guidelines for it? tbh, roleplayers have just gotten entitled to thinking that tumblr is supposed to bow to our whim. we share a space with non roleplayers. to demand, and just expect ppl are just going to see your rules and read them and respect it rght away?? come on ya'll. we know to look for rules cuz its what we've been doing for years, but you can't expect that from strangers who are likely mobile bound just seeing something you wrote in the tags. its gonna happen. i just dont like the mannerisms some people have with them. you dont gotta be rude about it. if its really bothering you just block them and be done. problem solved. going out of your way to make posts about how annoying they are is just unnecessary.

🔥 - duplicates. this is one is gonna get me fired but oh well. Ya'll we have GOT to love ourselves better. because it is plain and simple insecurity for why people feel they cant talk or write with duplicates. i know it does deeper in some cases, like your current partner leaving you for the shinny new roleplayer of the same muse you write. believe me I've been there. but fuck those people. when are we gonna stop letting others dictate how we feel about ourselves? i hate seeing shit when a new roleplayer pops up with the same muse and suddenly you get the vaguing posts about 'suddenly feeling very doubtful of my portrayal' like its not obvious you are threatened. and in this fandom??? we're i follow like 30 different alastors?? lucifers?? Angels"?? all different, all got something to add and share. i got news for you but your portrayal isnt the only ONE. its not the end all be all. and yes I talk to my ego all the time, cuz there are some muses i write where i'm like I AM THE GOD FATHER OF THIS MUSE. but thats me and my own pride, doesnt mean anyone else who writes this muse is less than me. or i'm suddenly less than them. and there are portrayals i dont fuck with. i simply just do not look their way. but theres always muses i love roleplaying with duplicates cuz its FUN. also being able to talk to people who love this muse as much as you?? learn to stop looking at everything like its a competition and things will not be as stressful. its what makes this hobby unfun when you let those insecurities eat you up. im not saying its not valid, and im not saying you cant be upset, but what does it really do for you? what would happen if you just went and talked to them? imagine it goes well? you make a new friend. dont deny yourself opening a door just because you are scared of what 'might' be behind it. and its something I am learning and teaching myself. our issue is we all wanna be see, and heard. we all wanna be the absolute best. we wanna have the best portrayal like this sort of acknowledgement does anything. cuz while I know ppl love my own portrayals, still doesn't change the fact that i got issues and i cry myself to sleep still. the 'love' i get on here, ain't a fix. and if you think seeking validation on tumblr dot com is gonna fix you? its not. the attention and love we seek on here is just a placeholder, its us using this as a distraction from actually fixing our problems, and turn i still see how so many of us are unhappy. let it go.

AU Hyde friends with Emma Carew

In this au, or more like an addition i can add to one of my aus – in one of Hydes outings, while jumping on the roofs he noticed Emma crying on balcony to her room. Even though he would usually leave (and Jekyll dosent want to get in trouble hence Hyde is still a searched criminal) he decided to come closer, Emma noticed him and was confused on why tf theres a man on the roof above her balcony (i would shit my pants) But Hyde reassured her he isnt a threat, and was just coming by (on the roofs 🤨). And asked her whats wrong.

Surprisingly she wasnt afraid, she already had a breakdown so she couldn't really think straight.

She told him she is supposed to have an arranged marriage with Simon Stride, in her families will. But she doesn't love him nor she ever had romantic or sexual attraction to anyone ever (shes aroace but that term didnt exist back then ). Plus, hes a jerk towards her.

Hyde shows his opposition to it, he thinks all those traditions and aristocrat things are absolutely stupid (sorry for my lack of smart language 😂) . He tells her he knows one person who was also married against their will, and that ruined their relationship with their lover (as hyde says this jekylls jaw drops to the floor XD). So he understands how harmful it can be. He jokes to lift Emmas mood.

Emma already calmed down thanks him, and also tells abot how in general its annoying. Her fathers friends were making jokes about her marrying jekyll right after their dance. Her father dosent take her seriously as he thinks shes still kid (like in musical, same with her mothers death) and he dosent think that marriage is harmful as family of simon conviced him otherwise. She dosent blames him but still holds a grudge for not helping her but instead adding fuel to the fire.

Hyde dosent knows what to say so he suggests her to jump on roofs with him to unwind, jekyll as a shadow is completely apposed. She is unsure but decides to accept the offer. Jekyll tries his hardest but hyde has an idea to make it a little safer.

Since shes in a party dress she takes some time to change into more for jumping clothes. Hyde asks her to hold his hand so she dosent fall while jumping

physically, it's a toss-up on who could hurt the other. as they're both quite strong and therefore a danger to each other. but of course payne would never willingly do it. and we all know stefan doesn't do violence unless needed. so neither.

who is emotionally stronger?

no offence to stefan, but on this one i'd have to go payne. as stefan has a tendency to wear his heart on his sleeve. and whilst we love him for it, it makes him vulnerable. whereas payne tends to hide hers quite well and also not let her emotions rule her thoughts.

who is physically stronger?

again, they're both quite strong. but i would say payne has a small advantage due to her DNA. but again, they're both quite strong, even when stefan is on animal blood.

who is more likely to break a bone? 

payne. she's an idiot without a fear gene. so you know it never ends well for her. she'll go do some shit she's not supposed too.

who knows best what to say to upset the other? 

payne. she makes it her knowledge to know what would hurt others as a way to protect herself. and if the need arose, she'd come straight out with it. no regrets ..... unfortunately.

stefan. payne is too prideful to do it straight away. it would take her a few days but even then that's pushing it. so yeah it's definitely gotta be stefan.

stefan. again payne has no fear gene and gets into situations she shouldn't. plus she heals a bit slower than the vampires. thus her wounds need to be cared for.

i'd say both. i mean theyve both gone through some shit, and need to be comforted in some way.

payne. definetly payne. as stefan isnt the most jealous person (unless it comes to something to do with damon) but I mean given payne doesnt personally like damon. that ain't an issue. but her on the other hand, has a tendency to get very jealous.

payne. she tends to run when things get too emotional and she cant handle the emotions or situation. so she'd do the walking out. unfortunately.

stefan. he seems the old-fashioned type to do it first. plus payne would rather he did it then she knows he's willing to go that far. if that makes sense.

well i'd say payne's given hes a knight of hell. but considering no parents are in the picture. neither parents.

both. both are comforted by the little touch.

[this isnt a professional overview of the thing at all, i watchd it oncr and just wanna have some record of my thoughts on it el o el]

i loved lain. it was certainly a very odd and reminiscent experience, bare bones plot and very unclear direction of the episodes was something i didnt expect at ALL from something i was holding off for a long while. simplest way to say this is that sel is an exploration and very active pov of experiencing stuff like did, schizophrenia, autism, social anxiety, hallucinations, short/long-term amnesia, suicide, derealization and dissociation as a whole, mixed with oversight of nihilistic, omnicidal technological influx on society.

i dont think lain tries to represent something clearly. its natural and off-putting in blood, giving an unusual perspective of a person who is actually going through all the shit forementioned. it doesnt have an outer opinion or commentary, nor self-awareness enough to lay it out flat for the viewer, which is sick ! it might be borderline uncomfortable to watch sometimes, but i really resonate with what lain and people surrounding her say and do, how they act and go forward from point a to point b. i understand and relate to their experiences, and its not very often that it feels so first hand, not just through dialogue and noise but the whole picture. its not easy to analyze lain because its themes are blurry and undefined, but highlighted and somewhat brought into focus.

i mentally compared sel to yume 2kki/nikki in my head since the first episode cuz i prefer interpreting overhead noise and buzzing on the streets as sensory regularity for lain, who isnt exacrly human i think ?? she is said to be software near the end of the show, but i dont know how i perosnally feel about it. lain can be both a metaphor and a very direct showcase of mechanical abomination, which is — lain.

everything, all art in lain is weird as fuck. it is what makes me think of 2kki and what drives close to home, but still staying so weird and unwanted. non-metaphorically at the end of sel, she erased herself from all memory, yet she still keeps popping back in, as a vague figure and hologram in text boxes, and at the very finish, she seems to just ,, appear in a timeline as herself, with time has passed but her just the same. curiously, arisu recognizes lain still, and it really seems like lain is not real, with how she cant be forgotten.

really loved the ending itself because it reminded me strongly of ddlc, plus the evil lain is there i guess. i actually have barely to no thoughts on that character[?] because i have no idea what theyre supposed to represent. literal malicious lain like a virus who fucks shit up in the wired?? alter ???? artificial puppet that god created to fuck lain up ? bug ???? maybe all at once and maybe none. i stick to my headcanon of lain having did and schizophrenia [and more] so it just makes a bit more sense if they were a split of lain consciousness, but i dont have a specific reasoning as to why they would be so mean-spirited

the omnipresent ruler of wired and all he is in the show. i think his character was meant to be a manic god complex engineer who wrote himself into his work of wired to live forever and be a god. i guess ? show doesnt explain it any better ok

he created lain, told her shes software and essentially broke her just because she asked for that stupid fucking navi which is dumb lain has cardboard standees of parents and much fleshed out but still neglectful sister who has some backstory which is always nice. she lives in a weird world with very odd activities and excessive wires and a cute girl arisu. i think lain is lesbian so they two should totally kiiitthhh

gorefest overview: 0/10. there is no viscera or excessive blood in lain, and i mean . like at all. there is some sweet body horror in two or three final episodes, but thats as close as it comes

I'll make this a thing if it's the last thing I do.

Don't ask them how it started, they couldn't tell you.

It was supposed to be a one night stand after a taping of heartbreak hotel.

But Shawn got conflicted as he didn't want his relationship with Kevin and taker to be impacted by his dumb urges. He has a kid who's attached to them that he has to think about when making these decisions.

It infact makes their relationship stronger.

Taker and Kevin become more of a figure in John's life and shawn falls even harder for them both.

They work well. Kevin is the protector, he's able to protect both taker and shawn. Both are vulnerable and both struggle with that and yet he can help. He's also able to stand takers full strength whilst shawn can't.

Shawns the sunshine. He's able to ground both men and keep them calm. He's also able to rile them up if it benefits him. But he is a brat so it's expected from him.

Taker? Takers the grump guard dog who will hurt anyone who hurts his boys. You don't fuck with takers boys or his kids. Mess with him all you want, but not them.

Also, plus is, the family of destruction still works because the kids have always seen Kevin as a third dad, so yeah, Leon and cassie can still chill.

It's basically the same, John and Leon get teased for having three dads instead of two.

Taker is the firm dad, kevins the firm but fun dad and shawns the mama bear, he's the caring and most likely to freak out if something happens.

Anyways. Shawn is the cook, kevins the dish washer and taker puts them away. Takers the main driver, kevins the back up driver and shawns a passenger princess. Taker does DIY, shawn cannot and neither can Kevin.

Kevin and shawn love pda and takers a bit iffy about it.

Shawn loves nicknames and so does aba taker.

Kevin is quick to correct Shawn on any of his bullshit whilst taker will just store it away for a later, much kinkier, time.

Shawn is quick to scold Kevin and taker for ignoring medical advice despite them not allowing him too.

Taker is quick to put both of them in time out, because let's face it, Kevin and shawn are the class clowns. The shit stirrers, the troublemakers and well taker is the lockeroom leader so either way he has to put up with it.

Kevin leaves. And it does cause some problems at home. Cassies lucky she's not existing at this time.

Taker watches as it destroys Shawn. And when Shawn becomes a wreck the whole family falls apart. Taker understands both sides but for once, he has to be the protector. He has to ground Shawn and reassure Kevin its whats best. He has to promise John and Leon that Pops (idk if imma stick with pops or go with pater which is Latin for dad) isn't leaving them, that he will still come home to them, he's just moved companies for a reason that will benefit them more.

John and Leon understand a lot more than their parents think. But they help their father as much as they can with papa and how destroyed he's become.

Kevin, because we know his medical history, ends up becoming the stay at home dad eventually, so he does school runs and all that. He doesn't mind it, he enjoys it. A lot more than he thought he would.

Takers multiple deaths.

Interesting convo starter. Shawn is obviously always destroyed by them and Kevin? Kevin is aswell, but he always keeps a strong face on for his family because they need a rock.

It's important to note this isnt shawns relationship. Kevin and taker do love each other too.

Shawns back injury.

Not gonna lie, Kevin was angry at taker at first. Furious. But then when he came home he realised how bad Shawn had gotten with his drug problem. He knew it was probably for the best. And then he sees how badly taker is being on himself.

It becomes clear to him, its an accident. Its beating taker up. He sees how much Shawn forgives him. So Kevin apologies to taker and decides that they all need to heal.

That's the main, important points I can think of.

I've seen a lot of people shit talk Reylo, although I've never seen Star Wars, I've been told a lot of those 'criticisms' aren't even true, and I'm honestly kinda tired of it

So, as someone who (I presume) ships/shipped Reylo, what would you say are the good things about the ship? What are the reasons you ship/shipped it?

Let's balance out all the negativity a bit (plus it's nice to hear you talk about the things you like and/or are passionate about ^^)

i very much ship it yeah, strong since 2014 lol. All the criticisms really boil down to 'it's het' and shipwars at the end dont they? like not even the 'he's a villain' and 'there's an age gap' and 'its incest' are like. solid arguments or anything when you can spot the same person saying it w an identical same gender ship

i personally tend to ship things because i overanalyze the characters and then how they balance each other out or how they would contribute to each other or rub off wrong or something. like i know people sometimes are more interested in the dynamic or in the shared story or something but im here with a shovel deep diving into character analysis and counterpoints in the other so let's go:

-the force is a power, overencompassing and all that, that can be controlled in two main ways: order (light) and emotion (dark). oversimplifying as you mentioned you arent familiar with the franchise and i am cursed with the knowledge of the extended legends verse so let's go with that. the thing with rey and kylo is that they use and are attuned to the force in direct opposite ways. he isnt just trained to use the light, he is very well attuned to order and to putting things in place. he has to actively struggle to use the dark side, we see him intentionally intensifying his own physical pain so he can use the dark better. while rey, completely untrained, is just *so* natural at the dark it's kind of scary. she struggles to learn order, it's not her nature. so you have two individuals struggling to get what the other just has naturally. and its so hot during a fight to see how they feed off of each other, use abilities that are not 'on their side', how even their lightsaber techniques reflect that - he /wants/ to be wild and messy but always ends up with perfect poise, she /tries/ to balance her hits but always ends up lashing in rage. they dance and hit each other in exactly the way to impress. yummy.

-they have a literal force bond. something that got scratched away from the lore once disney took over, but was very much prominent before that. and like at this point you know me and Soulmates, im a sucker. the second he reaches towards her with the force, its locked in. and more than that, theyre so connected and she's so strong with the force that she /overwhelms/ him. he is extremely well trained, and extremely powerful with the force - he's the heir of the chosen one afterall. /and yet/. She literally goes inside his brain and /learns/ how to fight and how to control the force from him, just snatches it from his supposedly overpowered mind. And he's /impressed/. He immediately goes 'join me'. The boy that wanted only revenge so far, only to be powerful, suddenly wants /an ally/. An of course, just like Vader, he never wanted to be a servant to the dark lord, just to escape his shitty situation. So when he sees his way out he calls to her. And she's too feral and scared and obsessed with /revenge/ (= very much a dark side thing! light = no emotion!) that she spits on him and /beats his ass/ with his own techniques. I love her sm.

-their entire upbringings mirror each other. she grew up poor and abandoned, had to fight for scraps of food. he grew up with one of the most powerful people in the republic - his mother leia - he was /supposed/ to be strong and powerful and a beacon. and yet they told him since he was young there's Vader in him, he's dangerous, he has to leave home and go train with Luke, who lost his own control and teachings and /tried to kill him/ over his own fear. they both needed to escape their pasts, one from chaos to order, the other from control to freedom. they kinda pass each other in the middle of their goals. And this scrappy feral girl, this No One from Nowhere matches step for step the Elegant Royal Noble Trained By a Hero and a Sith. Episode 9 mostly doesnt exist for me, but even if you see it as canon, as in Rey is the heir of the Big Bad from the last trilogy, it's /still/ a compelling story, and she doesnt really lose the fact that she grew up as No One. A dark side heir fighting for the light against a light side heir fighting for the dark is still good shit. And they /can/ balance it out. Again, franchise specific thing, but its pretty shown that extremities, both light and dark, arent really /good/. The light is too restrictive and too slippery. The Dark is too explosive, too prone to taking you over. Legends lore and part of current lore (Ahsoka namely), charts a third path - named Grey Jedi in legends. It's one where you dont forsake your humanity for the force, but you also dont let emotions fuel all your behaviour. I do think Rey and Kylo had the potential to show off to the wide public just how shitty Jedi were, and that the dark side isnt forever, isnt all evil, and the only way out isnt death.

-both their childhoods were stolen, but when they talk alone they act like kids again. there's a few scenes where they just. /talk/. like sure at first they throw insults like they arent trained deadly fighters, and then they calm down and speak softly and hold hands. stuck in an elevator together they give each other googly eyes, even when going into a fight. they cry and mourn and long. such a contrast to when they're dealing with anyone else, where theyre both contrary and argumentative and dismissive, or guarded and hesitant at best. they /get/ each other, even when they hurt each other.

-i mean i could tell you here how much they risk for each other. their lives, their positions, their whole support systems. kylo kills his master when he threatens to kill rey, rey escapes from luke on the mere idea that she could bring kylo back. the only reason they clash at the end of that is contradictionary ideologies - he still believes he can fix the world by himself, and she still clings to old stories. which is a very tasty clash of personalities, i /love/ it when external forces are the issue and not something between the characters themselves. /especially/ when those external forces are 'saving the world' vs 'saving yourself' yes yes yesss (this might be like all of my ships hahaa)

-ok down to the good stuff. /the size difference/. adam is a huge ass man and while im not a fan of daisy (would personally cast florence pugh there ngl) she and by extension rey are /tiny/ next to him, and yet just like. a powerhouse. something about a woman putting a man thrice her size on his ass ya know. and also getting railed by him ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

-and like at the end of it all just. ya know. hero/villain ships, that are not rivalries. i fucking hate rivalries ngl. like nothing personal just not my taste. they did a really good job of portraying two people on opposing sides discovering they arent that different, and it's actually a common goal, system, force, that they're both fighting against. fighting each other and yet understanding at some level that its mostly pointless in the big scheme of things. finding solace on the battlefield, with the one opposite your weapon. fighting for your people against your people. its just good old stuff

before anything, I gotta explain he was born to parents who had an infatuation quirk (makes them hardcore fall in love with you) and an infection quirk (transmits a virus via saliva)  

developed his quirk late, since they usually get it by the time kids are four 

most people knew him as quirkless before the first incident 

in middle school, his class was preparing for a school play, he and his classmate got cast as the main lead prince and princess 

coincidentally, they both had a crush on each other and had a scene where they kissed

technically they weren’t supposed to, since its just a play, but one time they were practicing in private and wanted to try kissing “for real”

so they shared a super giggly cute middle school first kiss but well UNFORTUNATELY FOR HIM HIS QUIRK HAD WELL DEVELOPED– 

BADABING BADABOOM YOU HAVE AN IMAGINATION USE IT

the only way for the quirk’s effects to go away is to come at least once or pleasuring yourself until it goes away

rip now that I’m thinking abt it, I don’t even think anybody would even kNOW HOW TO MAKE IT GO AWAY so lets imagine she painfully stays that way until they figure out how to make it stop :^(

there’s a big fight that happens between the teachers, principal, and parents of both parties 

of course the crush’s parents got mad and called their kid a fuckin uhhhhh sexual predator or some shit despite also beING THE SAME AGE AND NOT EVEN KNOWING ABT HIS OWN QUIRK LIKE HELLLO

obviously an incident like this is going to spread like wildfire but the principal does not want something like this to leak, especially since it was not on purpose and was a total accident 

the other kid’s parents and some teachers did not feel comfortable however, and sato was forced to drop out

but not wanting to spread the gossip about their son’s quirk and the incident, they leave the town and move someplace else

thankfully, the principal gives the sato family his good grades and a recommendation to a decent highschool for the trouble

they’re originally from osaka, but moved to tokyo 

this is where they start taking precautions with sato, basically teaching him to be careful with his saliva 

it was easily taught and learned esp since the mom was already like that around him and others everyday anyway!! she has to take care of her saliva-based infection quirk, after all 

HIGH SCHOOL

he got enrolled into a regular highschool in tokyo

no hero course, no support course, no business, just a regular ol’ school

if before, he loved surrounding himself with people, this was where he was forced to develop a lonely disposition to protect himself and others

at least his parents were very protective and supportive of him and they were generally a happy family!

but in school, pretending to be quirkless was just as difficult, getting bullied or pitied for having no special abilities 

his excuse for wearing a mask all the time was because his mother had a virus-related quirk, and had to be careful 

one day his dad was suddenly got really, really sick

the more he had an excuse to wear a mask because he didnt want to get whatever disease his father started to develop 

sato started thinking it could be his mother (but why?) the results didn’t say anything about an unknown virus killing him (which is his mom’s quirk), and that his father really did contract a strong yet very normal disease 

while on his second year in highschool, his father, yozo sato, died 

apparently, without him knowing anything about his parents, his mother, oba sato, was actually under the dad’s infatuation quirk this whole time

she realised she wasn’t really in love with him when oba had accidentally allowed a drop of her saliva to fall into the meal she was making him, making him sick, and therefore making him weak enough to deactivate his quirk on her 

oba, back in her college years, wanted to marry someone else but yozo, who had a crush on her wanted her to himself, used his quirk to make him fall in love with her 

so in revenge for making her put up with him all these years to the point of marriage and having a kid, she continued to do this to his food 

her quirk doesn’t make anybody sick enough to die, but it made her husband’s immune system weak enough to the point that it contracted a real, serious disease which he ended up dying from instead 

sato only finds out the real story when he graduates from highschool, days right after his graduation the mom confesses it all 

she does say she truly loves him, but can’t stay around him knowing he was technically “unconsensual love”

sato gets reminded of what his quirk does, and true enough, that’s what him and his quirk turned out to be (a sick combination of his mom and his dad) 

they cant bear to be around each other after that revelation and decide to just not see each other again 

COLLEGE YEARS

he enrolls into an education course, inspired by the kind principal who helped him finish his middleschool-highschool education when it all started going downhill 

sato struggles paying for his college fees esp since he doesn’t exactly have his parents supporting him anymore, nor any contact with immediate family 

he has a lot of part time jobs that go all around the clock, he continues pretending to be quirkless so he gets bullied, and has to deal with all that emotional baggage plus being alone so…….clearly my man is TIRED as hell 

his side job hustles include: convenience store cashier, bookstore attendant, bar bouncer, and rookie gym trainer (he went to the local gym long enough for him to get recommended a job as a trainer)

college was that point where he starts developing a hardcore yearning for a companion because oh my god hes so lonELY (but cant)

ANYWAY SO

there’s this bully guy who always picks on him in college (for being “quirkless” and a loner and overall a fuckin weirdo with a mask)

tbh sato doesnt really give a shit he’s so used to it but he doesnt have his mother as an excuse to wear the mask anymore, this is where he starts forming the “I have bad breath” excuse 

“口臭い” (kuchi kusai) translates to “bad breath” or “stinky mouth” so sato unlovingly gets nicknamed “kusato”

one day he’s walking around the campus at night and finds the bully with his gang cornering another quirkless student, with plans of assaulting her 

sato was never the hero type, and was about to ignore the commotion as to not get involved, but something in him moved on its own and he found himself face to face with the gang 

he confronts them, but the bully mocks both him and the girl for not having powers to stop them anyway 

SIKE BITCH sato’s able to easily strike the other two guys, knock them off their feet enough to be able to tug the to-be victim aside, telling her to report them, before asking her to run away as fast as she can

none of the guys want that (they’re all students) so they have a full on brawl (and this isnt hero academy, its a totally normal university so I wouldn’t assume these guys had very impressive quirks)

except the main bully actually has a pretty decent quirk (he’s like a kinda half human half dragon with sharp claws, scales, and dragon eyes) and gets to injure sato with his sharp claws, seriously injuring his face

a part of his ear is also sort of sliced off, which is how his mask gets accidentally removed in the process 

the dragon bully grabs him by the collar and starts angrily shouting at him for ruining his night, being able to do all this shit without a quirk and all and all other derogatory speech 

“Well? what do you have to say for yourself?!“ 

Sato stays silent before spitting right into the bully’s mouth 

The bully drops him immediately, about to angrily fuck him up for doing something super fucking gross but WHOOP WHOOP YOU KNOW WHATS BOUTTA HAPPEN the quirk works immediately and the bully is a TOTAL MESS on the ground 

Im going to TLDR this part cos its…obviously nsfw but like: sato fully embarrasses him in public (beside the bully’s two colleges nonetheless) 

sato stays in the hospital for some time to heal from his wounds 

fortunately, afterwards, the bullies all get expelled 

unfortunately for sato, he also gets expelled for engaging in bad behaviour, and the bully did say what happened to him (and the college principal did not want his…dangerous quirk on campus) so as to lower any incident, all four were expelled 

at least without having to pay for college fees anymore, he could fully focus on paying for food, shelter, and clothes 

minus of course the hospital bills needed to pay plus he got a sick ass scar from it anyway HAHAHAHA BSDJHJRHDHF

ADULT LIFE

he had a lot of jobs here and there, but was more or less doing best as a trainer at a local gym where people weren’t allowed to use their quirks and strengthen their body regularly 

a few years went by and he eventually shrugged off everything that happened in his final college years but one day someone familiar walked into the gym! It was the fellow college student he saved!!!

she became a policewoman who wanted to get stronger in this quirkless friendly gym and hadn’t given up on her dreams of being a “hero,” inspired by how sato saved her that day

sato never really saw himself as some hero, he was left many nights alone thinking about how easily he could become a villain with his quirk, so hearing that really made him happy 

he trains her as her gym coach and she eventually asks him to join her patrol this small part of the city from a gang that was currently going around doing crimes since he’s good at it anyway, saying she could use some extra hands hehe

so yeah!! he does this side gig with her where he patrols alongside her looking for gang crimes and such c:

AND ONE DAY. [WISTFUL SIGH] ONE DAY. HE FINDS SOMEBODY GETTING MUGGED BY A GANG MEMBER AND SAVES………A CERTAIN MAN–

Okay here are my thoughts on volume 2 and season 4 as a whole:

-Will being pushed to the back was so unnecessary. Him and El are kinda the main characters of this show and there was a lot of El which was rlly nice but Will really wasnt there this season and why? Like i genuinely dont understand why. I missed him hes my favorite character

^ And mike and johnathan too?? like usually mike is so important hes like comes up plans and shit and he just wasnt?? there?? and i kinda feel like mikes character was nuked this season. His (and Wills) whole plotline this season was around his relationship with El... come on I want to see little micheal wheeler fight monsters with his friends. and ive also seen a lot of people reminding us how caring he was in season 1 and 2 and yeah. he rlly was and i miss that i dont believe that puberty hit and now mike only cares abt el like his character doesnt make sense anymore and i dont know why

- I honestly lowkey hated the cali plot and i rlly feel like the show would have been a lot better if the byers never moved. like they had to relocate bc of El and Joyce wanted a fresh start or something i dont remember but they very easily could have just not wrote that in. I just think that a lot of problems ppl are having with this season could have been avoid if the byers never moved.

-Aryle... hes definitely great. But i just...you know hes a fun character but thats kind of ALL he is. he is literally just a comic relief and is pretty useless throughout the whole season besides driving the cali gang which could have easily been done by johnathan instead of introducing a whole new character that probably isnt going to stay next season because hes supposed to be in california (which you know this whole problem could have been avoided if the byers never moved)

-the way our characters were split this season was a little weird but also not? like it made sense bc the groups this season were based off of just where everyone was but like i said, i wish the byers never moved. plus all the fan favorites were in hawkins and sometimes it felt like that was the only important storyline happening. like the cali gang just felt so behind compared to what was happening in hawkins

-my whole life would be infinitely better if every season was still set during halloween each year

-As much as i love this show, I think some of its charm has been lost... As our characters (mostly talking abt the kids here because they have always been the main focus since the beginning) have grown up it feels like maybe the duffers and writers of the show have focused a little too much on the fact that they are growing up and having relationships instead of focusing on what the show was originally about. a fun sci-fi show with monsters and kids saving the day and having little lighthearted relationships in the corner. I dont know if my point if coming across right but like it felt like theres just a little too much focus on the characters romantic relationships and honestly i dont care!! i want to watch monsters and kids figuring out how to defeat them in a fun 80s aesthetic! i am tired of the drama between stancy and jancy and as much as i would love byler i would be okay with mileven if they would have focused on their relationship less bc like i said earlier his relationship with el was mikes entire plotline this season. which just makes me sad because i usually love his character. yes even thought hes a little shit thats what makes him so loveable, because hes a little shit and he used to care abt saving all of his friends

This kind of ended in a rant but those were the problems I had with this season. I was definitely disappointed with a lot of stuff in volume 2 but I still enjoyed watching it as much as I could because this show is still really good and means a lot to a lot of people. I hope the duffers can like fix themselves because I would hate to see this show get like ruined because of bad writing in the later seasons.

Would u want to write a lil thing where like Bakugo has an s/o or even just another friend and he's looking for them around the dorm and all of sudden he gets a facetime from chat and it's the bakusquad plus them but they all have gotten scratches n such because they were riding those little kids toys through a store parking lot and then security chases then out as there on the phone? Wouldn't have to be exactly that. Thought this would be funny!

The laugh bubbles out from your throat without you even expecting it, the sight of Mina, Denki, Sero and Kiri all in a single shopping cart outside of Target is too much for you.

Sero has managed to fit himself into the baby seat of the cart, Denki is lying on the bottom of the cart, looking all cramped but with a huge smile on his face. Mina and Kiri are both in the main area of the cart, reenacting the scene from the titanic.

“And IIIIIIII will alwayssss, love youuuuu!!!” Sero sings out dramatically, putting his hands over his heart as he leans backwards to watch the two dumbasses.

You try to control your laughter as you walk back up to them, placing your hands on the car and pushing, which took way much more effort than you’ve used in a hot minute, zooming the cart full of idiots along the parking lot.

“(Y/N)! WAIT I'M GONNA FALL-” And now denki is on the ground, laughing while holding his elbow.

A good friend would have stopped to make sure he was okay, however you are his best friend, so of course you change your path to try and run him over with the cart.

“She’s gone mad!” Mina calls out pushing her way to your end of the cart.

“Wee.” Sero pipes in with the most monotone voice as he raises his hands up in his baby seat.

Denki is screaming for his life, but you pretend not to hear it.

Somehow, you’ve managed to spend about half an hour just in the parking lot. 

And who the actual fuck knows how you managed to trade Sero spots and end up in the baby seat.

“This is PAYBACK!” Denki calls out from in front of you before pushing the cart with all of strength, sending you and mina both flying into the parking lot, hitting a curb and flopping through the air and onto the ground.

Although, you are pretty sure you’re hurt, you just fucking laugh like it’s the funniest thing to you.

Mina of course is basically pissing herself with laughter as she’s away from the cart where she had landed.

However, you are still flopped on the ground, them thicc ass thighs (yum), stopping you from leaving your newfound prison. Kiri and Sero are both laughing until they manage to calm down long enough to come over and flip the cart back upright, with you still in it.

“I-” Your own laughter cuts you off, “I can’t get out-”

You try to wiggle out and escape, but alas, you are one stuck dumb bitch currently.

“Holy shit, no way,” Sero giggles out, attempting to lift you from the seat.

You don't budge.

Which is obviously the most hilarious thing to your friends as they all fucking die again, loud wheezing laughter leaving their lips.

Your phone goes off in your pocket, and you calm yourself slightly before seeing it was a text from your lovely boyfriend. Instead of just texting him back, you decide to facetime him, with the biggest grin on your face.

He picks up on the 2nd ring like usual.

“Dumbass where the fuck are you?” His words are immediate, causing you to chuckle a bit. Before you can even reply he speaks up again, “Wait- what the fuck happened to your face? Are you okay?”

Your heart melts at his concern as an embarrassed smile takes over your face, a few giggles coming out, “Uhm, i'm kinda stuck in a shopping cart, and Denki decided to yeet me across the parking lot.”

Mina’s face pops up beside yours, “They were placed in the baby seat, for they are the true baby.” Mina’s face is so serious that it causes you to laugh, along with Denki.

Bakugou looks like he has a small smile for a solid second before he scoffs and rolls his eyes, “Don’t be so childish, you were supposed to be back at the dorms an hour ago so we could study-”

A loud voice yells out, drawing your attention to it.

There are 3 security guards walking towards you, and although they’re barely visible due to how far you are from them, you instantly stuff your phone back in your pocket, turning to Kirishima,.

“IT'S THE FUCKING POLICE WE GOTTA GO!” You yell out, which clearly gets everyone's attention.

Sero and Denki make direct eye contact before absolutely booking it towards to train station, while you struggle to get yourself out of the stupid fucking seat.

“FUCK, YOULL NEVER TAKE ME!” Denki’s voice is heard, getting further away, to which seros laughter also becomes distant. 

You continue to struggle as you send a pleading look to Kiri and Mina, who are both panicking out of their minds.

Kiri scoops Mina up, placing her in the main area of the cart before grabbing the handle and running faster than you’ve ever even heard of.

The yelling of the guards is slowly getting further away as you freak the fuck out in your baby seat, Mina laughing at the top of her lungs.

By the time you finally make it to the train station, you are stuck, Mina is asleep, and Kiri is going on about he has to be the manliest man ever for saving not one, but two, damsels in distress. 

After somehow getting onto the train, everyone still in their prior positions, it takes a few moments before the hilarity  of it all hits you. 

You’re casually chillin (while being stuck of course) in the baby seat of a shopping cart, while being pushed around by the manliest red head who cannot stop grinning, with a pink alien fast asleep in the cart.

So of course you burst out laughing again.

It doesn’t really hit you how embarrassing everything was until you are being pushed/snuck into the 1A dorms, Mina awake and now standing on the foot of the cart so she doesn’t have to walk, casually talking with Kiri.

The laughter of the common room as you first rolled in will stick with you for years.

Even more so when Bakugou walked up to you, arms crossed in disappointment as he looked you over before he too burst out laughing.

Yeah, you couldn’t forget that.

The only thing you wish to forget is Aizawa angrily trying to free you from your metal prison, before he just broke the fucking thing and proceeded to tell you off. 

All while Denki and Sero couldn’t stop laughing so hard that they weren’t even making sounds.

It was worth having Katsuki extra cuddly afterwards, despite him saying that he didn’t miss you, he just knew you were doing some dumb shit again. 

Plus being able to see the smile on Katsu’s face as you relayed some of the funniest moments while he cleaned up your scrapes for you.. That was well worth it.
