so i have been writing for, i would say, a few years now. i think i started writing very early on, but those were very short and weird stories (i was 9, what do i even expect) but i got really serious about writing in 2021. i began to write my original works in the notepad of my tablet from then onwards lol (still havent finished😬)

i only started posting the fanfics on tumblr in june though

Are you planning to make a profession out of this or just doing it for fun?

i honestly want to make a profession out of this but as of now its just for funsies. but i do plan to publish my works later on if i get confident enough ❣️

posting fics here is also for some practising and exercising so i can improve my skills enough to actually do something with it.

Who or which character do you prefer to write more for?

i dont have a problem with writing for any character, though i feel like it is easier for me to get into the mindset suitable for writing characters i have a crush on, ya know?

for example, i love Az, Eris and Lucien (maybe also tam 👀), so its easier for me to write romantic stuff for them. But as for Cassian, (or rhys) i think of them like people i would like to have as a bestie or brother irl, so it takes me some time to actually get ideas for their stories

What do you do when you're out of ideas?

i just go to bed early and lie awake till 3 am trying to come up with something 🫠

or i simply scroll on youtube shorts until i find a random ass movie clip, and use it as inspo

okay so it is sooo hard to come up with something, but i would say to not hold back or stop posting or not post what you write at all.

you have to be very very vulnerable to be posting something you will very likely be judged for on the internet, where some people like to be mean for no reason, uncaring that a real person is reading their comments and probably getting hurt.

but there are good people too, who appreciate what you do, and so for them, and yourself, please post that fic you've been hiding in your basement for years, even if you think no one's gonna read it.

stan uris and richie tozier are canonically best friends in IT and the erasure of their friendship in favor of appealing to reddie fans is fucking gross and weird, especially bc stan is then chalked up to just some mean jewish kid who likes birds and is annoyed by richie 25/8 instead of having an actual fucking personality in every reddie fic just bc fans want so badly to make reddie best friends to lovers and its just?? yall can make reddie best friends to lovers WITHOUT erasing stan's canonical personality. yall can make them best friends to lovers while still acknowledging that stan and richie are canonically best friends and that stan canonically was an incredibly important person to richie.

this also goes for bill and eddie btw!! its just significantly worse with stan which reads Very Wrong when you take into consideration that fic writers always write bill denbrough as a sweet little white boy who everyone's at least a little bit in love with but then write stan as this rude jewish boy who's always mean and critical of richie for just being himself (and a lot of those "annoying" traits i see people make stan give richie shit about are adhd traits, which also rubs me wrong?? like why are so many NT fic writers so comfortable with calling my ND traits annoying) which isnt even canon?? like. canonically they poke fun at each other, they call each other names and say stupid shit but not to the extent of actually hurting each other because they are best friends and they know each other to the point where they know what boundaries the other has, they arent just making passive aggressive comments at the other and then going "it's a joke bro!" when/if the other gets upset.

rule 1: never ever ever feel embarrassed about commenting on fic.

i read a multichapter fic from six years ago and commented on every single chapter. all twenty. and at the end of it, they thanked me for taking the time out to comment throughout because while it was a while back, that fic held a special place in their heart.

“well, they receive well-thought out, analytical comments whereas i can only express emotion in the form of a keyboard smash?”

listen. it’s like that one cake comment. you might worry that the cake you made isn’t as good as the one someone else made, but the one receiving it? “holy shit TWO cakes!!” that’s exactly what it is. it’s not a big deal if you don’t put coherent comments. the fact that you took time out to comment is the big deal.

“i want to comment but i dont really have anything to say”

you honestly don’t have to say anything! a keyboard smash paired with “this is so good!” will make an authors’ day. other more generic things to comment when you want to show appreciation but don’t know how:

“this chapter was really good!”

“i really liked x line”

“so excited to see where this goes”

“i really needed this right now”

“rip my sleep schedule but this is amazing”

i get it. you want an update. you want to tell them that to show how excited you are. but this is a trickier line to walk. it’s natural to want updates, and it’s even okay to ask for them! but it really depends on how.

huge no. please don’t. if you did before, it’s alright, but from now on, we’re avoiding these. the issue is that it seems demanding, and i know for many authors this might actually drive them away from updating. 

“but i want them to know im excited for an update!” i gotchu buddy!

something like this is so much better. now i know, in principle, they’re asking for the same thing. but the difference is, the first set of comments was demanding something. this one is more passive, and takes responsibility off the writer. the first one is saying “update.” the second is saying “whenever you update, i’ll be here to read it, and im excited for it,” and really, that’s probably closer to what you were trying to get across anyways!

these are just some basic things that i’ve been thinking about for the past little while, and i finally realized why the “plz update” comments i used to get on wattpad made me want to delete my fics and never look at them again. 

but keep in mind if you’ve done anything and now realize you probably shouldn’t have, you’re so valid and don’t worry at all because now you know! anyways bud thanks for reading and go off! comment to your hearts’ content!

Oneus. They’re so talented and amazing and I really need to start giving them the love they deserve.

2. Do you have any irl friends that like kpop?

All of my friends like kpop :) it’s how we became friends.

3. How old were you when you first got into kpop?

Hmm 7 years ago so 20 ^^

4. What song(s) took you a while to warm up to?

Lotto by exo. I actually hated that song at first because of all the auto tune but now it’s a jam 😂

5. Have you ever disliked a group/idol? If so, why? (You don’t have to say who it is if you’re scared of getting hate).

Dislike? Not really just embarrassed for. Let’s just because of extremely questionable life choices.

6. What annoys you the most about kpop?

How controlled their lives are. From their appearance to who they talk to and when, it’s just sad to me.

7. What do you love the most about kpop?

That it transcends languages and makes so many people all over the world happy in their dark times.

Nope! I also listen to western pop, metal, and rock.

A lot of anime ones (although I wasn’t nearly as invested in these as I am kpop) : Tokyo ghoul, Naruto, attack on titan, yuri on ice. Never really got into music fandoms until I found kpop.

13. Which group did you used to think was overrated but ended up loving?

Hmm... to be fair I really don’t find any groups over rated? They all work extremely hard to make it and they all deserve love and appreciation.

14. Is there a kpop song that annoys you? If so, which one?

Aha I have quite a few that I really don’t like: Gangnam style, catallena by orange caramel, bar by crayon pop, zimzalabim and umpah umpah by red velvet (IM A HUGE FAN OF THEM OTHERWISE DONT COME AT ME PLZ)

15. What aspects of kpop make you cringe/feel secondhand embarrassment?

How crazy the fans can be at times. Stalking idols, mobbing them, and sending people death threats or saying hurtful things to others just because they don’t like your bias group is 🙅🏻‍♀️

16. Which concepts do you love?

It depends on my mood and the group, sometimes I love cute concepts and sometimes they make me cringe. Sometimes I like dark / sexy concepts and other times they make me uncomfortable. 🤷🏻‍♀️

In particular though I love Ateez whole pirate concept I must say.

17. Which concepts do you hate?

18. If you could trade places with an idol, who would it be?

Oh hmm that’s a good question! Maybe Taehyung so I can be best friends with Jimin and all the other bts members and play with Yeontan :3

19. What do you look for in a bias?

My bias list is so over the place. I don’t really have a criteria. It’s usually one thing or moment that makes me say “wow ok that person is my bias”. (Although by coincidence most of my biases are from Daegu)

For example: I had a hell of a time deciding who my bias is in got7 until JB said in an interview that if he could only keep one memory of got7 it would be when they first met so he could find them all again. Such a sweet moment.

20. Which kpop company do you hate the most?

That snake YG 🐍 I’m not even going to get into it but they’re horrible. Not to say I don’t like the groups from there, just the company. Starship kind of on my shitlist too after everything with Wonho.

21. What are you opinions on shipping?

I ship members in groups but I do so quietly because I’m sure it makes the members uncomfortable. So I don’t mind it, just don’t throw your ship in other peoples faces and act like it’s real and your ship is superior to others.

22. How did you get into kpop?

My neighbor was Korean and played me Big Bang and I immediately loved it. But Then she was like hey there’s this new boy group that debuted you should listen to them too. And that boy group was bts and everything just went up from there 💜

23. Has anyone ever made fun of you or looked at you weird for liking kpop?

Yes 🙃 one person in my family in particular until I blew up on him and now I don’t get off handed comments anymore.

24. What is the cringiest thing you did when you were starting to get into kpop?

I don’t really remember anything cringe I did tbh that was a long ass time ago 😂

25. How long does it take you to learn the names of each member in a group?

I can learn them within a few hours if I focus on it.

I love them all. BTS, mamamoo, kard, theyre all amazing.

27. If you could hang out with one idol, who would you hang out with?

Jimin. Just because he’s helped me the most of any idol to overcome my body image issues and really start to learn how to love myself. I want to thank him for that.

Uhh so just a few months ago I posted a comment on @markiplier 's video "Dont take the risk" and it fuCKING BLEW UP LIKE HOLY SHIT But, I said a lot of positive things not over the top but like telling my story about suicidal things and depression and anxiety and shit. But someone told me "kys" so there goes my happiness for the next few days haha yay... but under that comment I replyed "uhh thanks i geuss??? But I'm not saying kys back bc that's twice the angry" so they didnt say anything back.

No just kidding they might be a great person and idk

But a few days later some said

"You saved me, this comment---Im not gonna die tonight thank you so much..." and I ligit cried because I was so happy I could make a difference...and I now realise the things I say could have a bigger impact on people then I originally thought. But that was 2018 and I was very suicidal and depressed and anxious all the time but didnt tell a soul till I ranted in the comments about it and i got so much love and stuff aside from that dick who ruined my happiness for half a week... BUT I want you to know you matter and if you dont have anyone at home or at school or work, ect. I'm here talk to me I'm more then willing to talk, but I still have school so I have to be at that hellhole for a little while longer then summer and happiness for a while. But lately I've been the happiest I've been since I was 7 not kidding I started not being very happy when I was 8 I wAS FUCKING 8, so just to give context I'm lesbian (gay for girls) and came out in February to most of my friends and my family so that might have triggered something good to make me happy

Just depression is gonna be in your life at some point so just realise it's ok your gonna get through it and I wish I knew that when I first got depression. I weighed out the pros and cons about suicide and got more cons then pros but if you think about it

Cons are

You have people who care about you and the impact on them will suck

Your pets will miss you

Your friends wont take it good I will guarentee it

It will hurt like hell

You have a lotta life left so why cut it short?

Depression is temporary not permanent I promise

Pros are

You'll stop the TEMPORARY pain

Yeah I didnt get any of the cons except my pets will miss me which was enough for me to not kill myself.
