By Omission - A PMD2 Oneshot

The stone lift moved through the sky towards the distant sight of Temporal Tower, carrying the two onwards in an awkward silence. It took Aigiel speaking up to break their silence.

"You know... Grovyle told me something. When we split up in the dungeon, I mean."

"Yeah?"

Makoto knew when she was referring to, but some part of him dreaded what she would say next.

"He... he said..." She cut herself off.

"Just say it. ...Please."

"He said you'd... you'd all... disappear... once the future was restored." Aigiel managed to choke it out between the sobs she was clearly trying to hold back. "B-but that isn't true, r-right...?"

"..."

"O-or you would've told me before now, right? ...Right?"

"..."

He still couldn't respond. It hurt enough to be near her like this.

"You..."

"..."

The silence dragged on.

P a i n f u l l y .

"...You didn't tell me?"

"...It's not like I knew much longer than you," He lied.

He didn't want to tell her how he had first told him the day after they got back from the dark future. Because he was worried about how Aigiel would react and wanted to double check he was still sure about this. He was, figuring she would understand.

...Apparently he was wrong.

"I... I thought we were supposed to be friends."

"We are, but this is just what has to be done. You understand, ri-"

"THEN WHY ARE YOU LEAVING ME BEHIND?"

The shout from her normally timid self nearly startled him into falling off the platform.

"WHY ARE YOU SO DETERMINED ON THROWING AWAY THE ONE THING I COULD HOLD ONTO?"

"...A-aigiel, I-"

"I thought you were different."

In her voice was now an unrestrained bitterness, as if the only thing that mattered in that moment was that she absolutely hated him.

"Guess I was wrong again."

"..."

The rest of the ride was taken in silence.

He wanted to stand closer to her, to give her some sense of comfort, but now... it didn't feel right.

They were both fighting for the same cause, sure, but no longer on the same side of things.

...I really messed this up, huh.

PMD Special Episode 0 Romhack: Secret Cutscene!

NOTE: This post will contain minor spoilers for the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time, Darkness, and Sky games as well as a romhack based off of it: Special Episode 0: In a Dark Past Well. This wasn't exactly what I expected for my first post, but I sure as hell ain't complaining! I'm making this post since I discovered something that I haven't seen posted anywhere, so I thought I might as well share it. Sorry if it's a little long! First off, a bit of context: Thanks to numerous fanart, I've begun playing a PMD romhack called Special Episode 0: In a Dark Past. It's a romhack of the Explorers of Time, Darkness, and Sky games specifically, delving deeper into the backstories of two of its characters: Grovyle and Dusknoir. As a massive PMD EoS fan, I've been enjoying it so far! Highly recommend it to anyone who's a fan of these games or characters and the writing is great! You can check out the creator's Twitter here, the hack download should be in a pinned post: https://twitter.com/PKMM_ESPEP0 It was when I got to a fight with a Vespiquen and her Combee that I got a little curious. Before I picked up this hack, I'd already watched a short playthrough of it and knew that you were supposed to lose this fight to continue the story (Vespiquen is ridiculously strong and uses Silver Wind, which basically kills you from anywhere). But I wondered if it was possible to beat it. After all, I had a lot of stun seeds by this point, and Duskull knew both Disable and Hypnosis which could stall the Vespiquen.

So I did. Though I must first confess, I didn't do it 100% legitimately. I don't own a DS, so I play all my games using emulators, including both PMD EoS and this romhack. Thus, I was able to save right before the battle so I wouldn't have to reset and go through the entire dungeon every time I lost. So while I did manage to beat the Vespiquen fair and square from start to finish, I did do a couple resets to save time. But that's not what I made this post for. After beating the Vespiquen, I unlocked a secret cutscene! I haven't seen anyone share this before, so I thought I might as well put this out there for anyone who is curious. For anyone who's read this far, thank you so much, and here it is! (It's quite long at about 7 minutes, but it's totally worth the watch!)

Thanks for reading through this one hell of a first post! Like I said, I really love PMD and from the little I've experienced, this romhack is just as beautifully written. Highly recommend checking it out if you haven't! I wonder if I should start posting PMD fanart of my own...

My submission for @shrubsparrow 's Team RowanBerry comic! I started reading their comic a bit late into its run (around late Mission 8), so I decided to go back through the rest of the missions and events, and this funny little page from the PMD-E Event 6 prologue got a good laugh out of me. Thus, I decided this would be the one to draw!

Something to note, part of the challenge with this page redraw (aside from it being my first full color page) was trying to research some of the context for it. I was able to mostly follow in my reread, but I wasn't able to find a shot of what team Rowanberry's original home looked like, and PMD-E stuff has been scattered and hard to find as a result of the Smackjeeves shutdown and the group ending. Seems a lot of PMD-E stuff has become lost media...

Regardless, this was fun to draw and Team Rowan Berry is quite the wonderful PMD comic to follow!

this is a loaded question my friend .. Yes, i love death note, and L is my favorite , because L helped me understand myself, L changed my life because he is the first time i felt like i not only loved a character , but the first time i truly resonated with a character where they didn't just represent one side of me , i felt L represented me in a multi-dimensional way , and ever since i found L i felt like he opened up the door to me learning to love myself for the real me, instead of repressing it ..

for context i didnt watch death note until i was 24 (coincidentally the same age as L) because it got popular around the time i stopped watching anime in middle school because of bullying & depression. My teen/young adult life was so confusing, i rly hated myself & always tried to be someone else , i felt like no one could love me the real secret me because it was too awkward & off-putting & eccentric in a non-cute non-quirky non-"marketable" way lol.

but once i finally watched death note a lot of things clicked for me, especially cus i lived alone at the time and was totally depressed and absorbed in trying to 'solve' life's 'mysteries' in an obsessive way, i saw myself. And i also saw how L was a much loved character throughout time, all kinds of people loved L in all his complexities & contradictions, i started to believe there's real love out there for me too if i could only ALLOW myself to start being the True Me.

So over the past 6 years my life has slowly but dramatically shifted into a place im happy with , i shed a lot of shame , & let in a lot of new people, things are so different and idk if i would've come to certain realizations if it werent for L :] now he is my eternally my online avatar because he is still the only true mirror i've seen of myself in any media and i wish to present myself accurately while still keeping an air of ~secrecy~. THANK YOU L !!!!!!!!!

and thank you for the question ^^ there's many more specific reasons i could detail as to why i relate to him but i think i will start sounding too conspiratorial if i start getting Really into that LOL. So it goes. Thx again....PMD9 <3
