Dog Lover Headcanons!

Arven x Gn! Reader

You LOVE dog Pokémon, and he LOVES his Mabosstiff. Need I say more?

So you know pretty much everything about each puppy Pokémon and their evolutions, including the Paldean doggos

While he knows enough about his own Mabosstiff, he’s impressed when you go on about facts of each dog Pokémon, especially when you remember particular natures and signature attacks that let each doggo shine

He’ll definitely ask a question or two about the Maschiff line if he doesn’t know it already. It may help him better care of his Mabosstiff!

He might get into the research himself if he is so inclined to, and will definitely ask you for recommendations when the two of you are studying together

He loves watching your face light up at the sight of any dog Pokémon, and is more than thrilled when you treat Mabosstiff with a similar level of care and love he would give him

Sometimes Mabosstiff will cuddle with you to get Arven to come join

At first he thinks his best bud has chosen you over him, which will make him feel rejected

Until you look at him and let him know “I think he wants you to come join the snuggle pile”

He embarrassingly shuffles over to join you, and is more than relieved when he discovers you were right

No matter which dog Pokémon is in your party, he will open up to it eventually

He doesn’t want his Mabosstiff to think he is leaving him so he’s very careful about this

You on the other hand, you love ALL the doggos

You’ve probably got one of each already (Growlithe, Rockruff, Houndour, Fidough, Greavard, and Maschiff lines), so you understand how each one can differ in behavior and attitude

No matter which one is your favorite line, he will respect it

He is just happy to see you enjoying the companionship of a doggo as much as he does

It may depend on the type of doggo, but if there is one in your party it will eventually get along with Mabosstiff (some natures take time to get along, of course)

If the nature and the timings are right, one of you might find an egg in your basket

Depending on how either of you feel about Pokémon breeding, you are both willing to care for the egg and see it through to hatching

You are the more careful Pokémon breeder because of your extensive research, so he may feel more comfortable letting you handle it

Now when it hatches, both of you are willing to discuss who should keep it

You want to encourage him to explore more with Pokémon, but not without his consent to do so first

Regardless of who the puppy ends up with, the puppy will always be loved and cared for dearly

He feels more than blessed to have a partner who sees the great companionship in a Mabosstiff (and the other dog Pokémon)

Pokémon Scarlet/Violet headcannons w/MC who has Disabilities

Just me projecting, thought I’d share. Typed very hastily lol pls excuse the errors

Minor Game Spoilers | SFW

It’s is past my bedtime buuuuuuuut… Courtesy of the Arven Brainrot.

- Since Uva/Naranja Academy praises it’s diversity, I think to think they have decent accommodations for students

- There’s alternate routes around Mesagoza with accessible ramps and elevators. There’s no implied rules that students can’t ride a Pokémon up the main stairs of death to get to school either. (As someone with Cerebral Palsy, those stairs… they scare me. I would trip and die instantly if the embarrassment didn’t get me first)

- People don’t really ‘talk’ about the elevators and ramps tho so the faculty usually tell the students when they enroll

- Professors are mindful of students who need to keep snacks on them and will let most Pokémon sit with their trainers during classes for anxiety or other medical reasons

- Ya know the whole extra time on tests and all that. Extra time to get between classes for students with mobility issues.

- Ms. Dendra is a wonderful Battle Studies teacher and I liked to think she also does General PE classes on the side. You think she’s just gonna let children roam around without helping build up a bit of strength for all those hills and mountains they gotta climb??? No, she’s gonna make you run laps.

- She’ll hella nice about it tho. Just send her an email or talk to her before classes and she’ll hit you up with modified workouts so you can still participate with the class on your own preferred level.

- When Director Clavell showed up at the MC’s house at the start of the game and the mom was talking with him, I like to think he was making sure the student file was accurate

- Just so he had all the information to make sure the student would have all the support they needed during their time there at the academy since the MC was staying in the dorms

MOVING ON! Crater Squad GO

- I used to wear Ankle-Foot Orhtotics and had to use a walker for a bit soooo

Nemona:

- Nemona doesn’t even bat an eye at whatever aids you have

- Doesn’t outright ask questions but pays attention if you ever talk about it

- It helps open her world view

- If anything, if you customized them to feel more stylish/comfortable, she’d think it was hella neat! Would probably give you stickers and stuff to add to them

- She’ll probably gift you some of those cool compression sleeves like the one that she wears. Gets excited about what colors you might want and gets very happy if you wear the same color as hers.

- This girl looked at you and adopted you as her freshman rival in a heartbeat

- If anyone messes with you or starts rumors she is on. Their. Asses.

- Immediately reported to the nearest faculty member and will write a full report if the issue persists.

- She knows you can handle yourself though. Even if she worries, she tries not to hover. Will check in with you often tho

- If you have an odd gate (walking pattern) she might forget sometimes when she sees you and freak out that you’re limping from a Pokémon injury or something. A very brief second of panic.

- Catches herself wondering if a task might be too hard for you only to be proven wrong seconds later

- She’s just thinks you’re the coolest

- Doesn’t mind at all if you need to sit down for a bit after battling or on the treasure hunt

- She forgets that some people need breaks often and you asking for one reminds her to take a breather herself

- She has the stamina to battle for two whole hours but even then, she will not get between you and a snack

- Love love Loves how down to earth and practical you are about certain things but you still became a Champion despite everything. She won’t tell you, but the whole Pokémon League is impressed by you

- You’re a beacon of strength to her, even on your bad pain days if you get them

Penny:

- Penny overlaps a bit with Nemona

- Doesn’t bat an eye but will passively look up information

- Prefers to ask you questions tho, sometimes in person, usually over txt

- I like that her room is so dim, if a bit cluttered

- If you chill there for a bit, you will always have at least one Veevee in your lap or next to you

- Penny thinks it’s the cutest and she has a photo of you in a complete pile of Veevee’s

- You fell asleep on her bed and they all just collectively decided to pile on top of you. It was very cozy.

- Penny probably has a weighted blanket or a plush she’ll let you use

- She might even put on some Lo-Fi music if you asked her to, or she’ll play heavy electronic music at a low volume

- She just likes your company, she doesn’t feel pressured around you and she hopes you feel comfortable around her as well

- Worries more vocally than Nemona, and will find herself saying “that seems like a bit much”

- *catches you doing the very thing out of spite*

- “tHAT WASN’T A CHALLENGE?! STOP BEFORE YOU HURT YOURSELF?!?”

- Always has a snack on her and will share. Only with you tho

Arven ooooh Arven Big Brother Arven:

- Even if he was defensive to you at first, he immediately had a ping of concern when he met you

- Got so worried when you went to take down titans, especially the Open Sky Titan

- Openly asks questions about your disability and DIGS into research about it in his own time

- He wants to know everything and anything he can help with

- You’re convinced that some of that nurturing caregiving he gave to Mabostiff bled over to how he is with you

- Got genuinely curious if the Herba Mystica actually helped you (Especially the Salty Herba Mystica in my case lol)

- He’s always racing to your side to check on you when you actually fight the titans

- Always checks in when walking anywhere

- If the group wants to travel someplace he’s always the first to turn to you and ask if you’re up for it

- Will totally carry you if you just asked. If he’s not wearing his big hiking bag, he will give a piggyback ride. Even in between classes.

- Always reaching out a hand to steady you. Will let you hold onto him for support down/up stairs or slopes

- Cuddles. He can hardly initiate them at first but will never complain if you happen to lean on his shoulder or flop into his lap.

- The off-time he does initiate the cuddles at first, it’s usually to make you stop pushing yourself so hard.

- Oh, look at that, you’re in his lap now… guess you can’t go training like your body is telling you Not To Do But You Decided To Anyway.

- Gets pretty comfortable with Cuddles with you quickly tho. Once he’s gotten off the ‘Oh, Affection for once in my life’ shock

- I imagine he likes to hold hands too.

- He gives you little hand massages if you get fatigue from throwing pokeballs or writing too many notes. He doesn’t realize he does it it sometimes, it just happens if he’s holding your hand at the time.

- Memorizes your favorite comfort foods to make when everything gets too much. Uses your favorite color bowls/plates and everything. It’s perfect.

- Mabostiff declares himself your personal heater. No one has the heart to tell him he’s not quite a lap dog anymore.

Misc. Group ideas:

- all of them subconsciously bracket around you. Arven and Penny are always glaring at anyone who gives you looks

- Nemona also likes to hold hands. She’s always looking for an excuse to pull you around.

- Arven has to tell her to slow down often

- Penny may or may not have gushed to Team Star about you and you are on all of their ‘protect at all costs’ list

- Even if you did wipe the floor with them

- If the group stops by a store but you want to sit outside and wait, Penny will always sit with you to keep you company. She and Arven send each other memes and she’ll show them to you.

- Nemona is the queen of ‘I saw this thing and it reminded me of you’

- Tbh, that happens so often with everyone tho

- If it’s raining and it makes your bones ache and your chronic pain worse, the group will be there at your dorm. They refuse. Absolutely refuse to let you suffer alone.

- You cannot stop them, they just all collectively bee-line straight to you eventually.

- *rain starts pouring down*

- Arven: huh, guess we’re having dinner at my place tonight…

- Group cuddles after dinner. Cuddles and a TV marathon with Pokémon. It’s bliss

Rika x male s/o headcanons

Everyone who knows Rika and s/o would tell you that they are absolutely made for each other.

S/o’s friendly and outgoing personality pairs really well with his girlfriend’s calm and confident nature.

Rika and s/o got together in their second year at the academy when s/o transferred there after his family moved to Paldea from the Kalos region.

Having been charmed by s/o’s warm and extroverted personality, Rika immediately began subtly flirting with him every chance she got, successfully leaving the handsome young man flustered every time.

Eventually, Rika stops with the flirting and bluntly asks s/o out.

“S/o, I think you’re really awesome and I want to go out with you. What do you say babe, wanna go out on a date with me?”

He accepted, much to Rika’s delight, and the two have been together ever since.

When they both graduated from the academy, s/o smiled ear to ear when his girlfriend was offered a spot as one of Paldea’s Elite 4.

“That’s amazing! I’m so proud of you babe! Though I’m not suprised, I already knew my gal was one of the bestest trainers ever!”

Rika chuckled at her s/o’s praise, while also trying to hide the faint blush on her face.

Now, you would think that being an Elite 4 member, Rika would struggle trying to find time to spend with her s/o due to her busy schedule right?

Nope.

Rika always finds time for her boyfriend, whether it be multiple phone calls all throughout the day, or s/o coming to pay her a visit at work occasionally.

One time, Rika was in the middle of a battle when s/o showed up for a visit and began cheering her on.

“Woo! Go, Rika! You got this babe!”

After the battle, Geeta told s/o he couldn’t come to visit anymore when there is a challenger, though that isn’t to say she wasn’t mildly amused by his antics.

Being Rika’s boyfriend means that s/o is well acquainted with the other Elite 4 members.

Poppy loves s/o and views him as her big brother, much like how she has a little sister/big sister relationship with Rika.

Hassel is easily the biggest proponent of s/o and Rika’s relationship, always going on and on about how great they are together.

“You two’s love for one another is stronger than a Draco Meteor from even the mightiest dragon!”

He exclaims before bursting into happy tears as Rika and s/o deadpan at the sight.

Despite Larry’s brooding and tired nature, no one has ever seen him smile as much as he does when s/o is around.

Seriously, s/o has such an infectious personality that even the most stone-hearted person can’t help but lighten up when he’s near them.

As for Geeta, she gets along fairly well with s/o.

While she does scold him occasionally for his antics when he visits, Geeta does generally like s/o and has a small smile on her face whenever he comes to the Pokémon League to visit Rika.

Jealousy is pretty much nonexistent between Rika and s/o, as she is too secure and confident to believe that s/o would ever leave her for someone else, and s/o is too positive minded to have any jealous thoughts.

If s/o would ever be hit on by someone else, Rika would take it in stride.

She understands very well that s/o is an incredibly hot guy that a lot of people would want to be with, but would smirk pridefully to herself fully knowing that s/o is hers.

Should someone ever hit on Rika, s/o wouldn’t think too much of it, as he knows that despite her being a massive flirt, Rika would never flirt with anyone other than him.

However, if the flirting would ever get to a point where it gets uncomfortable for either of them, the other will step in and put an end to it.

When she’s not busy with her Elite 4 duties, Rika and s/o are practically connected at the hip, whether they be battling each other or are simply spending time together alone in their shared home.

Dates often involve Rika and s/o going someplace peaceful and quiet, not just as a way for Rika to unwind after a long day of battling, but also so she can have s/o all to herself without any distractions.

“I missed this babe. There’s no one around, people or pokémon. That means you and I can enjoy each other’s company for as long as we want.”

“Sounds good to me babe. As long as I get to spend time with you Rika, it doesn’t matter to me where we are.”

One thing Rika really loves about s/o, besides everything, is how much he adores her Clodsire.

There has been multiple times when Rika has caught s/o giving her Clodsire a belly rub and feeding him berries, causing her to gush at the sight every time.

“That’s so adorable s/o!”

He blushes and chuckles.

“I can’t help it Rika, I love this little guy. He baby!”

S/o exclaims while holding Clodsire like Simba from the Lion King before he gently places him back on the ground.

“I swear s/o, I think I’m falling more and more in love with you everyday.”

Rika says before getting pulled into a kiss by her boyfriend, surprising her before she sinks fully into the kiss.

They both pull away for air as s/o smiles warmly at his girlfriend.

“I love you too Rika.”

She grins and drags s/o off to the living room so they can chill and watch movies together, Clodsire watching his trainer and her boyfriend with a carefree smile on his face.

You were sitting on the swinging bench of your porch, pleased with the gentle wind that was floating by. Looking over, your pink Shellos was sitting by the miniature pond you had finished a few days ago, with its own plankton and everything. Perfect for the little West Sea slug that had been waiting for AGES! Well, an exaggeration on its part, you take it to the nearby beach all the time. But now, Shellos would be able to get some convenient moisture nearby. A win for the both of you in case you both were too lazy to go on a walk!

But just as you were relaxing in your seat, you heard something..off. Some sort of barking? Opening your eyes to try and see who’s disturbing your rest, your eyes fell on your Shellos, back turned to you. You raised an eyebrow. What in the heavens could be angering it now? The only way you knew your West Sea Shellos to get worked up was—oh.

Oh no.

Looking over, you spotted a vibrant green sea slug of the East Sea being walked by another person. Just as you feared. Or more accurately, just as your West Sea felt a rivalry between. Before you could do something, your Shellos took off in the direction of the other slug, who was oblivious to your incoming pink one! Your legs went faster than your mind, you needed to catch up, and quick! Or else, your West Sea Shellos would—

Just kidding. Shellos were not too fast. Your pink one made it a foot from your yard before you scooped it up in your hands, making your Shellos whine in indignation. Just as you were going to scold it for running out of the yard, in the corner of your eye, you watched the East Sea Shellos’ trainer head up the stairs and into the house next to you. The one that’s been available for a while.

They moved in next to you. Much to your horror, and to your Shellos’ mischievous delight. You knew at this point, any warning you’re giving your Pokémon would not be anything it heard meaningfully. Your Shellos was way too determined to show that blue and green slug that it was the better version.

— ♥ but the best part is him being in denial about being clingy afterwards. that’s when teasing him is essential.

— ❀ he’s the type to be suspicious and accusatory first, ask later.

— ❀ will cross his arms and be sassy. maybe something like, “is this person bothering you, (y/n)? i can deal with ‘em.”

— ❀ when he’s jealous he’s obvious. he’ll pull you in more, scowl and throw sarcastic comments at the other person, and he’ll suggest to go somewhere else.

— ❀ WILL throw in a regular pokemon challenge to the other if it gets to that point. like might as well make it a tradition or smth to go up to someone and challenge them whenever lmao ,, wait that already happens

— ❀ arven would also grasp onto your arm or sleeve subconsciously, afterwards backing away and apologizing after the person’s gone for just grabbing your arm.

— ❀ “i hate it when people just keep persisting on someone even when they’re obviously taken…” arven would sigh, “…but hey, it means you’re hot stuff if people keep coming to take you away from me!”

— ☾ the other person isn’t gonna take jacq seriously. i mean, he does look like he just woke up, with his laid back attitude and ruffled clothing. but the charm in it was something you could admire, and clearly the other person didn’t see that.

— ☾ he’s a lil irritated. not just because this person’s competing against him, but also because they have a solid chance.

— ☾ they looked better and dressed better, they were smooth with talking, and in no way did jacq feel as if he could compete properly against them.

— ☾ you seemed to sense his thoughts, holding his hand comfortingly. his heart, as if a weight was pushed off of it, immediately lightened.

Cynthia x male s/o headcanons

Cynthia met s/o at the Canalave City library where he was reading a book she was interested in.

The two hit it off immediately and quickly became friends.

Cynthia learned that s/o is an amateur archaeologist who was studying the history of Sinnoh.

The two would spend hours discussing history and old Sinnoh myths, leading to her and s/o developing feelings for one another.

After a couple months of pining for each other, Cynthia decides to take initiative and tell s/o how she feels about him.

“S/o, there’s something I need to tell you. I’ve felt a connection to you ever since I met you. We’ve been friends for a while now, but I would like us to be more than that. What I’m trying to say is that I love you s/o, but if you don’t feel the same way I understa-”

She’s cut off by s/o pulling her into a passionate kiss, making the Sinnoh champion blush deeply before sinking into the kiss.

He pulls away and gives her a warm smile.

“I feel the exact same way Cynth, I love you too.”

After that, he and Cynthia officially became a couple.

Whenever she isn’t busy with her champion duties, Cynthia joins s/o on his archeological escapades as if they were dates.

The two don’t tend to have much leisure time together due to their busy schedules sadly, but they always find a way to put a little time aside to just sit on the couch and cuddle.

Cynthia’s grandmother absolutely adores s/o, constantly teasing her about how he’s a keeper and should hold onto him as long as she can, much to Cynthia’s embarrassment.

All of Cynthia’s Pokémon really like s/o, especially Garchomp, who gets excited like a little puppy whenever she sees him, much to her trainer’s amusement.

She and s/o buy a house together in Jubilife City and spend all their time there whenever possible.

After Cynthia loses her Champion title, she has much more time to spend with her beloved s/o.

She likes going on vacation with her s/o to the Unova region to stay at her friend Caitlin’s villa.

On their 3rd anniversary as a couple, s/o takes Cynthia on a romantic dinner at her favorite restaurant and gets on one knee, causing the former champ to gasp in surprise.

S/o pulls out a beautiful engagement ring from his pocket and smiles at his beautiful girlfriend.

“Cynthia, we’ve been together for 3 years now, and I feel that now’s the time to do this. I love you with all my heart, so will you make me the happiest man in all the world and marry me?”

She tears up and nods excitedly at her boyfriend with a wide smile.

“Yes! Yes, of course I’ll marry you s/o!”

She hugs him tightly as happy tears stream down her face.

Needless to say, the future is incredibly bright for Cynthia and her s/o.

A little Tinkatink was running across some ruins, delighted as ever to swing her small hammer around with amateurish charm. It was her first hammer, after all, and one she made all by herself! No help from her Tinkatuff sisters or anything! Carrying a special shiny star medal attached to the end that signified it as her own. Unfortunately for the little Tinkatink, she wasn’t aware of what stalked behind some of the taller walls..

“Tinkatink!” She cried out, flailing her small hammer uselessly against the horde of Arons. She hurled the hammer to the floor in hopes of scaring them, waved the rattle around hoping it would make contact, but none of it seemed to work. One by one, the Arons had managed to sneak bites of her weapon, whittling her hard work ever so slowly right before her tearful eyes. Enough to nearly reach the star she had been so desperate to find to decorate her weapon. She begged for them to stop, but they seemed intent on taking their meal.

Just as she would screech out for them to stop again, another voice startled her out of her stupor.

“You leave that pinkie alone!”

Emerging from the bushes was you, scratches and bandages on your arms and a tooth gap from when you ran your makeshift wagon into the tree. A sight that was enough to startle the Arons as you came out, holding a stick with what looked to be a shed horn of a Pokémon attached to it with rope. A weapon that metal-eater Arons could not turn against you. To Tinkatink’s surprise, the group dispersed, leaving her weapon smaller than usual, but not gone. Still, to a baby like her? It was quite the scary experience. Enough to make her wail!

“Phew, that was close! They nearly took every last bite of that neat little hammer!..oh! Oh no no, don’t cry! Everything’s alright now!” You panicked—this was not supposed to be the plan! You would help a fellow inventor out, then be on your merry way. You had a plane you wanted to build! But you couldn’t just leave the sobbing Tinkatink to her own devices! So, without thinking about it much, you offered to help her search for more material, more metal to rebuild a hammer she loved. She seemed to take your offer with a shy nod, wiping away her tears as best as she could.

The two of you scourged the ruins for scraps all day that day, bits of shed metal from Pawniards and Corvisquires seemed to be enough to build the base. It might take a while for it to be fully developed again, but you promised you would come back tomorrow with something to help with the scrap! You waved goodbye to the Tinkatink, who looked significantly less sad with her weapon now. Hopefully, it would become a big ol’ hammer with your help!

“See later, Tinkatink!” You yelled out, waving goodbye before you ran back home. Tinkatink shouted goodbye to you as well.

“Tinkaton, I’m homeeee—whoa!” You were met with an affectionate tackle from your Pokémon, tossing herself into your arms with a happy squeal. You felt so lucky that she didn’t have her hammer on her right now. It was sitting to the side, positioned like your umbrella was—upside down on the coat rack. She made a little hole in the hammer for it. Thank goodness you had reinforced that coat rack too.

It’s been years since that fateful encounter with that Tinkatink. And after that first initial meeting, the two of you had begun working together to use scrap and metal to build your respective projects—you and your plane, her and her hammer. And the more you both grew, the closer you guys became, until she officially became your Pokémon when you and her had successfully fended off a group of Aggrons as a Tinkaton and full fledged inventor! The group she traveled with had blessed you with the honor of becoming her trainer, and she was more than happy to become yours.

“Now that I’m back, wanna help me out with the plane? Maybe we can do test run #292!” Your Tinkaton made a trill, a clear answer for yes.

“Off to our workshop then, pinkie!” You declared loudly, heading through the garage door with the sounds of excited little footsteps following behind.

A/n: just wanted to do something small for Pokémon and I decided this idea for Leon and Raihan. Hope you enjoy!

Leon

Moving in together was Leon’s idea. It was fun for the both of you as well as your Pokémon. Leon never felt so happy with you around as you were him. Though the moment he saw you and his Charizard cuddling together with you on the couch and Charizard with his head in you lap as he sat on the floor, it was curtains for him. Leon has always noticed that Charizard had taken a liking to you but to this moment he was sold you were staying in his life until the end of time. There was no doubt in in his mind that you were the one.

Raihan

Since Raihan has known you, you have always dressed a bit more masculine mostly because you are a fellow gym leader. He’s never seen you wear something outside of your gym leader clothes. Though he never had a problem with it, Raihan liked you just the way you are, you are a capable gym leader, a strong one at that and Raihan respected that. You and Raihan have been dated for sometime now and you still have a way of surprising him. You showing up to one of your dates in a dress/skirt or whatever, Raihan was like “damn, she cleans up nice.” He was already in love with but you were something new made him fall even more in love with you.

Twig buffers for a minute at this revelation and then says “Well, duh. You’re super old. Of course it would take work to look like you’re not ready to keel over at any second.”

Celebi laughs so hard she completely ruins the wing she was drawing and Dusknoir sulks for the rest of the day.
