Also there's been a fair few storylines with an Eevee trainer being bullied by a bunch of Eeveelution trainers for not evolving . . . Nagito: I know Absol is a fave to give him but regardless of the fact I gave Absol to Kyoko, I wasn't quite feelin' it. Hear me out here: Diancie. One a kind mythical pokemon, crystalised- not evolved- from a Carbink, insanely valuable, with very good mega evolution stats, equal to Makoto's Tyranitar, all of which Nagito would brush off depreciating that he couldn't even catch a 'normal Carbink' And on a meta level; may be based on the HOPE Diamond (given one of the Diancie event's was named 'Hope Diancie') a gem that's reputed to curse the holder with ill luck. Mikan: Hubris has caught me since I gave Hifumi a Blissey, but Audino is another nurse Joy staple and has the hidden ability 'Klutz' Chiaki: what self respecting gamer wouldn't jump at the chance to have an 8-bit pokemon? Ibuki: Electric Guitar pokemon? Low key Toxtricity even matches her colour pallet Kazuichi: Isn't sentient gear box Klinklang a mechanic nerd's dream? Sonia I'm sure every other pokemon she has is a terrifying ghost type; but nothing quite says 'princess' like a Galarian Rapidash Gundham: "Cower before the 4 Dark Dedennes of Destruction!" (also the Ultimate breeder would have shinies out the wazoo) Teruteru: A Rotom controlled oven is perfect for all his cooking needs, with none of the morality questions about FarFetch'd and it's leek. Twogami: So I may have played myself giving Togami a shiny factory Ditto; but who's a better companion to the lonely imposter with no identity of their own than insecure mimikyu who copies beloved pokemon to seek acceptance? Kindred spirits Akane: Both Gluttonous and Athletic? Greedent is a good match for that Nekomaru: it's like looking in a mirror, Machamp is a classic. Hiyoko: The Ultimate traditional dancer gets a Sensu style traditional dancing Oricorio. Call the presses. Mahiru: I'd admit this was a headscratcher since the most famous pokemon photographer DOESN'T HAVE ANY POKEMON; so for your consideration, Chinchou. Lures out shy pokemon for that perfect poke-snap, plus can be an impromptu flash in low visibility Fuyuhiko: Honchkrow the mafia boss pokemon is a no brainer, but more than that the villain groups are basically the pokemon yakuza; so that would make Fuyuhiko the ultimate. . Evil Team Boss? Not a great ring to it, but he's definitely the boss of this generation's Team Rocket Peko: A Honedge for the Ultimate Swordswoman, and the Jessie to Fuyuhiko's James. (I couldn't bring myself to call her simply a Team Kuzuryu Grunt) Izuru: Nothing outside of Type Null, the artificial pokemon created by combining all the greatest strengths and type advantages of all pokemon would be good enough for the artificial being known as Izuru Kamakura created by combining all known talent within one person. . . If this lad stepped out after you defeated the Elite Four. . . Imagine the Despair. . .

Do you play Pokémon and/or also like Pokémon, and if so, which game is your favourite?

(Also which Pokémon do you think fit best as partners for the different characters? Firstly Kris and Frisk.)

I used to play Pokemon starting with Red and Blue. But then (Ultra) Sun and (Ultra) Moon happened and I just lost interest all together. My favorite in the series are Heart Gold/Soul Silver, but Black(2)/White(2) are just as good, if not even better. I can see Kris having a Zorua and Frisk an Eevee

4Kids' trend of changing characters who had English names originally to other English names (even when it's a perfectly ordinary name) in the dub is so amusing.

So, this cowboy named Howard in the original Japanese anime, who wears a cowboy hat and all, gets changed to Milton in the English dub...

Oh, cute detail, his niece Akane (Whitney in the dub) is one of the few characters not to speak Tokyo standard Japanese, she speaks Kansai-ben, specifically Osaka-ben. It's so cute, fast, and adds to the uniqueness of her character! ^^ Nanako/Casey also speaks Osaka-ben, she's also a huuuge fan of the Electabuzz baseball team referencing how loyal Osakan fans of the Hanshin Tigers are, despite long, long losing streaks...

Mache (Valerie) speaks Kyoto-ben, her speech is slower, more flowy! It's a bit of a shame we don't get to hear as much accents even in the regions they're based on, but it's really nice when we do hear bits of it or even just words (we hear some background character kids speak in dialect in the beginning of The Legend of Thunder! There's also those two nameless salon characters in Goldenrod too...)

Anyway, this started off as me (fondly) poking fun at the old dub, but now, it's just "I wonder if Akane's family is mixed!" and "It's rare, but nice, hearing other dialects in the Pokemon anime!"

PEOPLE WHO GO THROUGH TRAUMA TOGETHER STAY TOGETHER!!!! Two of them kidnap the others (and a 3rd is implied to be working with them) and later run away BUT. THE KIDNAPPED PEOPLE FORGIVE THEM FOR IT. BECAUSE THEY KNOW WHY THEY HAD TO DO IT. I have so many thoughts and feelings about them it's insaneeee like they connect SO MUCH while trying to escape no matter what and fight against the one who caused the whole game, and in my headcanon, since Junpei and Akane reunite in the 3rd game and she's still working with Santa (he's her brother lol), and Junpei is coworkers with Seven, and Clover and Snake are still together since they're also siblings, I think there's a DISTINCT possibility that all of them would've kept contacting each other !!!!!! Lotus knows about the trauma that comes with being kidnapped from her daughters who were also kidnapped before so I cannot IMAGINE she'd willingly lose contact with the others. Junpei Clover Lotus Seven and Snake all escaped together!!! They care about each other so much!!!!!!!! And after Junpei and Akane get married they can all reconnect and aaaaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAA I love ZE found family. It never gets focused on but it's real to Me.

Chosen Siblings:

They both were kidnapped when they were young, and lived their childhood with Pryce until they finally escaped some years later. They grew up together and even though they separated, they still loved eachother. Silver calls Blue his sister also :3

So i was just having brain rot about dra and pokemon,so i thought about a mystery dungeon type au where everyone is a pokemon and it’s just a general mystery dungeon plot but stuff relating to dra happens(but no killing game because I don’t want too torture myself)

Even though Alolan ninetails does get more attention,I still love her and she deserves to be a diva.

The only reason she hasn’t cursed Mitch is because once she evolved Yamato explicitly made it so that she couldn’t curse people for petty things,and Kizuna doesn’t realize the fact that Mitch is literally the only exception.Yamato still wonders how Mitch still hasn’t been cursed.
