THEY MEAN THE WORLDDDDD TO MEEEEEE for some reason a lot of people in the fandom don't play Ace Attorney 5 which is fair since it's kind of messy BUT. BUT. IT INTRODUCES ATHENA AND DOES SOOOO MUCH FOR THE WRIGHT ANYTHING AGENCY. In AA4 we learn that Trucy Wright made the Wright Talent Agency into the Wright Anything Agency in order to bring Apollo in as a lawyer when before it was just her (a magician) and her adopted father Phoenix (a poker player). and AA5 is all about Athena joining and Apollo learning how to trust her, at least it is to ME. they're so gooddddd aaaaaaa like you've got Phoenix and Trucy who are weirdos who love to scheme and you've got Apollo their longsuffering guy who deals with it all, and Phoenix is the mentor... and then Athena comes in and she has a lot of light and determination and trauma (just like the rest of them lol) and she's SO determined and I like her a lot!! And Trucy is my favorite and Phoenix cares about her SO much but he also has his other found family in the Feys!!!!!! Mia dies in the first game but her ghost stays with Phoenix and her sister/cousin Maya and Pearl are SO IMPORTANT TO HIM he loves them so much that's his sisters to me ;-; he would do anything for them and Trucy and he's growing as a mentor to Apollo and Athena too as the game progress... They don't write them all perfectly but they sure do a lot of things I like :) also feel free to split this up into their Wright Anything Agency or Phoenix + the Feys or Phoenix + Trucy if you need to I won't mind I just love AA's found family a lot

Picture this. You are a attorney in your mid 20s and somehow find yourself surrounded by weird little girls with every case you take on. You officially adopt one but really, all of them are either sisters or daughters to you. Especially your loud, burger-loving lesbian sister. Your childhood friend turned rival turned lover, who has a whip-wielding adoptive sister of his own, goes on a series of investigations while messing around with a furry for a couple of weeks and returns with two 17 year old children, a thieving lesbian and a child with a narcissistic murderer for a father who should've kept him back in school a few grades. Your lover has each of them under an arm, and they are appended to your stable of weird little girls but are very much hidden in the back. Then you find out that your daughter, the official one, has a 22yo trans half-brother with a musical diva mother and was half raised as a prince in Khura'in, so you divorce his boss (who is not your official lover, you just had a weird thing for a while when you were in your alcoholic phase, maybe while your actual lover was still messing around with the furry) very publicly while sending him to prison for murdering your daughter's father. Oh, but you have been disbarred, so you make your daughter's son send his own boss to prison, by planting false evidence on him. Of course the young man punches you in the face. Needless to say he works for you for a couple of years and never finds out that he's related to your daughter because that would require a straightforward conversation, now wouldn't it?

Theyre very weird and misteruous and kinda fucked up a bit and they were through a lot but phoenix did his best and trucy well she's still just a kid but oh she's trying so fucking hard and always trying to wear a smile and it's breaking my heart the two of them. Also theyre weird i already said that but let me say it again they are WEIRD. and we love them<3 (the ace attorney fandom)

Ace Attorney has some wonderful found families, but this one's particularly special because of their circumstances. An exchange student and his unhinged weirdgirl assistant from Japan feeling so out of place in turn-of-the-century Great Britain, yet finding a completely batshit insane family during their time there...it's just so <3 <3 <3 Also Ryunosuke calls them "the greatest family in the world" and it makes my heart happy. Also they commit lots of crimes

Here’s a tournament for characters whose secondary ability seems to be how quickly they adopt children. To qualify for this tournament, a character must have at least two kids who are not blood related. For the purposes of this poll, adoption does not have to be legal, it can be emotional, or even just a headcanon. We are all fans of found family here.

The Kansas City Couple Pt 2

TAKES PLACE DURING TRAINING CAMP AND PRESEASON GAMES (JUNE-AUGUST 2023)

Interviewer: We are back. It is training camp time. And we are only here with Y/N. Why isn’t Travis here?

Y/N: So during training camp, Travis stays on the Missouri Western State campus. So I only see him at practice. So I saw him yesterday morning but he stayed there. So I’ll see him again tomorrow morning at practice again.

Interviewer: So why do they stay on campus when they could just come back?

Y/N: So the 9:30-12 practice that community members can see isn’t the full practice. So they actually come back at 1 and practice for another 2 and a half hours. So it is easier for the players to just stay in the dorms on campus than it is to drive all the way home. They also normally do team bonding skills after practice. I know that this year there are 8 PS4s and like 6 X-Boxs. So they are most likely doing a huge madden tournament. Honestly it is good for them to have that time together as a team. I know a couple of years ago there was a lot of separation between the rookies and the vets as training camp. And now they stay at campus. It is really funny cause Pat (Patrick Mahomes) called me the other day and we were talking and he goes “you know that Trav leaves early every night from our Madden tournament to call you right?” and I was confused. He said “every night when he calls you, we are most likely playing Madden, and he just gets up and leaves. He normally comes back 30 minutes to an hour later.” Which is funny cause he is calling me right now, (Answers the phone). Hi Trav! “Hey baby, what are you doing?” I am filming the documentary. Can I call you back after like an hour? “Yeah that's fine I love you!” I love you too. That is normally not how our conversations go. But we need to film so he can wait. He probably wasn’t doing anything important anyway.

Interviewer: Is it hard not having Travis here?

Y/N: It definitely was in the beginning. But it is mostly normal now. I’m sorta used to it. I have been doing this for so long. You know literally since day 1. So since then it has been getting easier. I don’t know if it is 100% easy, but I am pretty much used to him not being here for basically 3 months straight. We call and text and facetime so often it is kind of like he is here. There are evenings when he isn’t playing Madden and I am just walking around the house with him on Facetime. And it is literally like he is at the house.

Interviewer: What do you think about the Podcast?

Y/N: The New Heights podcast. Um, it's fun. I think Travis has so much fun with it. I love that he gets to talk to Jason (Travis’s brother). They are both so busy during the season and this is something that they can do to stay close. Even in past years with having Tuesdays off, there wasn’t a lot of time for them to sit down and talk. And so now with the podcast they have a set time to not be bothered. Which actually rarely happens, they get interrupted a lot, between me and the girls. Something is interrupting them.

Interviewer: So we talked about this during the off season, that you and Travis were off and on throughout high school. And you mentioned that you were in a car accident your senior year. Can we talk about that?

Y/N: yeah for sure. We can talk about that. So yes I was in a car accident my senior year. In January of that year I was driving home from wrestling practice and I hit a very slick patch of the road and slid into the ditch. But the ditch happened to ot be super deep so I actually just rolled over the ditch and rolled my car like 6 times. This is funny but not at the same time. It was actually Travis that found me. So this was back before we had cell phones. But we lived pretty close to each other, and the plan was that after practice I was to go to his house for a family dinner type thing. Well it had gotten way past the time that I should have been at his house. So he told his parents that he was going to drive the normal route to school, which is the same for both of us, and he found my car.

Interviewer: So you said in the previous interview that the accident kind of put a barrier between you and Travis. May we ask why?

Y/N: So being a wrestler and a softball player, I was determined after the accident to get back to 100% health. And I kind of pushed myself harder than I should have and it took me a while to realize that. But during the first like 3 weeks after the accident, there were times that I felt Travis being too protective. He was really just trying to get me to rest and take it easy. And all I wanted to do was to get back to being 100%. So I decided around the beginning of February that it would be best if Travis and I took a break. So we did and in April when I was finally feeling like myself again we ended up getting back together. And we have been together since.

Interviewer: So with that being said we know you wrestled at the college level. Was there ever a time when you felt Travis cared more about football than you or your wrestling?

Y/N: We definitely had arguments about that throughout college. But it was never that I felt he didn’t care about me or my wrestling career. It was more that we had two completely different focuses for a good chunk of the school year that we had a hard time spending time together. There were fights where we said that our individual sport was more important. But at the end of the day we knew that wasn’t true and that the other person came first.

Interviewer: I know fans would love to have multiple episodes with just you but we are going to hopefully get Travis back in for an interview. Hopefully after the first preseason game. We would love to talk about how he is feeling. But we will have to make time to get him to sit down and talk.

barely had time to study today, i was so busy! had lunch with my mother's side of the family, then went to a volleyball tournament from 14h30 to 19h00 (we got 5th place ;-;) and then rushed home to take a shower and go watch the rugby world cup finals at 20h00 at my uncle's place. of course RSA won, but somehow i found the ability within myself to be happy for them and even want them to win xD

Pupil, in which we timeskip to James' fourth year at Hogwarts and his eighth and last year of being without Sirius Black not that James knows it yet. There's also a tiny hint of Jily, but only in passing.

How long can you last without your soulmate?

Trick question: Go without them long enough, and you won't be soulmates anymore. When the connection is new, it needs to be strengthened in the same way a fire needs to be fed: Without proximity, without the resonance of the magical cores, soulbonds die on the vine.

At fourteen, James had last seen his soulmate on the day they'd found each other. There was little that a child could do, and the Potters didn't circulate through the same social strata as the Blacks; Sirius had disappeared into his family's estate, and James' hopes had been dashed once he'd started Hogwarts and no Sirius Black was called for Sorting. His mother owled not long after with the disappointing news that Walburga, bucking generations of Slytherin legacy, had sent her eldest son to a different school, undoubtedly for the sole purpose of keeping him away from his soulmate. A drastic conclusion, some would say, but James could think of no other reason, and he'd mentally cursed the Black matriarch with the worst words he could summon – which weren't much, given his age – and crumpled up his mother's letter before a pang of guilt made him hastily smooth it out again. It wasn't his Mum's fault that Sirius' mum was being unreasonable.

By then, six years into an incomplete soulbond, James was getting a little desperate. He could feel their connection, but it became less present with each passing year: In the beginning, James had dreamed of Sirius, waking with phantom music in his head, and he'd wondered if Sirius had dreamed of him. Those dreams had come less often until at fourteen it felt as though their tenuous link was a candle's-flame, liable to be extinguished at any moment.

It wasn't as if James' life was lacking: He had his parents, the youngest captaincy in House history and Remus and Peter cheering him from the stands. He had a flirtation with Lily Evans, though when they were paired for dance lessons, James couldn't help his disappointment when he took her hand and felt nothing more than the softness of her palm. And there was, of course, the excitement of the Triwizard Tournament, for which James was already planning to put forth his name.

Sometimes James thought about Sirius Black, wondered what it would have been like if they'd gone through Hogwarts together. Would Sirius have fought Slytherins in the halls with him, when Peter was too afraid and Remus too afraid of being caught? Would Sirius have roamed the corridors with James after curfew rather than talk him into staying, as Remus did? Would he have laughed at the way James approached Lily, covering his nerves by tousling his hair, or would he have taken James' hand before Lily did, regardless of what McGonagall would say? James couldn't be sure, and maybe there wasn't any point in wondering, but part of him felt cheated by the way he'd never had the chance to know.

Mighty Nein:

Originally, they were only seven, and the Nein part of their group name was a running joke about rolling nines and Caleb's German accent. Then, after Molly's untimely death, the group picked up Caduceus, making seven again. Later, they ally with Essek, who makes eight. And finally, through the power of love and found family, they defeat a villain named Lucien (who inhabits the body Molly had, it's all very complicated), and revive the body to become Kingsley Tealeaf, who looks at Molly as his brother but ultimately makes the group Nine. His revival is literally an act of divine intervention, fueled by the love and loss they all felt after chasing their beloved friend across the continent.

Internally there are other fantastic family bonds. Caleb and Nott/Veth having an incredible bond, Caleb and Beau being the Empire siblings, Molly and Yasha being the circus kids, Beau and Fjord, Cad and Fjord, the chaos crew, Nott and Jester, it goes on and on. They all change each other so significantly, they grow together, and canonically even though they live apart, they all have regular meetups in the tower Caleb created for all of them, with a stained glass window in Molly's honor and rooms dedicated to each member of the group. Even now in the new campaign, they've had cameos that prove years later they still work together and have each other's backs.

This is THEE definition of found family, these assholes were thrown together through circumstance and mostly hated each other to begin with right up until three of their own were kidnapped and then it was ON. And when Molly died, they took his ideals and turned them into a legacy SO POWERFUL they took Essek from a cold, self motivated war criminal to a man willing to die for his friends. They refused to let Beau face her abusive family alone! They helped Yasha heal from her trauma! They took down the whole Cerberus Assembly for what they did to Caleb! They saved the whole dang world together WITH THE POWER OF FUCKING FRIENDSHIP 😭! THEY LOVED MOLLY SO MUCH THAT IT SAVED THE WORLD! THEY NAMED THEMSELVES AFTER A STUPID PUN AND THEN THERE REALLY ENDED UP BEING NINE OF THEM! I WOULD DIE FOR THEM!!!

Whumptober 2023 Completionist Masterlist

For the benefit of Whumptober skimmers: All of these stories take place within the same nearly-canon-compliant Harry Potter AU, the key difference of which is that Voldemort's task to Draco, kill Dumbledore, came with a curse that drained his life until Dumbledore was dead, and left him that way afterward. These stories span time from roughly age 16 to ~40. Draco is whumpee.

"Theo" is Theodore Nott, the ultimate background character of Draco's dorm / Draco's boyfriend it turns out.

Anything listed with "Theo caretaker" is likely to have hints of romance, but anything heavily romantic will have "romantic" in the little warning area. Otherwise it's family feels / friends / professional.

With a loud thud, your sword fell to the ground, and you froze in place. How did this happen? It just slid out of your hand. Your opponent’s blade didn’t even touch it. With wide eyes, you looked up to Thor who stood in front of you equally surprised. Yet, as the audience erupted in deafening cheers, a grin appeared on his face, and he raised his sword in triumph. Without a second look, you picked up your sword and left the arena, walking back to the palace.

You’ve lost – again. And again, you were out of the tournament after the first round.

It wasn’t fair. You’ve spent the third year in a row training for the summer tournament and were finally feeling prepared to get a place on the winner’s podium. You were of equal combat skills as the Lady Sif and the Warriors Three and had even defeated Thor in a few practice fights before. You should have at least given the oldest prince a difficult fight.

“All your practice was for nothing if you can’t even hold onto a sword”, a voice you knew all too well sneered, and a man stepped out of the shadows. Loki. Why couldn’t he stay away from you for one damn minute?

“Leave me alone!”

“Is this how you talk to your prince?” His eyes glinted dangerously.

“Leave me alone, my Prince”, you corrected yourself and continued your way.

Loki, however, had other plans and stepped right in front of you. You almost collided with his chest but were able to stop just in time.

You furrowed your brows: “What do you want?”

“Oh, I wanted to tell you how sorry I am that you lost such an important tournament – again”, he innocently answered.

He was taunting you as he’s been doing all your life. For whatever reason, you didn’t know. It started one day and has never stopped since.

“What did you do?”, you hissed but didn’t wait for an answer. It was obvious. His stupid magic must have caused your sword to slip. You were better than dropping your sword inside the ring without any previous collision.

“Why do you always have to do this? I had a fair chance to win, just as everyone else who’s participating. You ruin everything, Loki!” You were screaming the last part.

“You’re not like them”, he laughed. “And you never will be. You’re not of noble blood. You don’t have any powers. You’re nothing more than an orphan who got lucky to be raised in a palace.”

The slap echoed loudly along the corridor and a red handprint appeared on Loki’s cheek. For the second time this day, you turned around and left without looking back until you were safely in your chamber. What have you done? They could throw you into the dungeon for attacking a member of the royal family.

Your palm reddened from the force of your slap. Even under a cold stream of water coming from the shower head, the red colour wouldn’t fade away.

Three short knocks on the door had you stop your attempt of washing the evidence away. Were those the guards to escort you to whatever punishment King Odin found appropriate for your misbehaviour?

It knocked again. This time more urgently. So, you decided to get it over with. The earlier the better, maybe the King would understand. To be honest, you didn’t have much of a choice. They’d probably kick the door down if you don’t react.

However, when you opened it, a gasp left your throat at the sight of the person standing there. The handprint on his face had turned darker into ruby and was even more visible than before. Wordlessly, he grabbed your hand and lifted it to his eyes observing your palm. He swallowed then turned your hand for you to see. It was coloured in the same shade of red as his cheek. A soul mark; only appearing when soulmates first touch.

“That can’t be”, you whispered. “If this is one of your jokes, it’s not funny.”

“It isn’t”, he replied. The expression on his face was indecipherable.

It couldn’t be true, could it? Soulmates were a rare occurrence, almost like a fairytale. And if Loki was your soulmate, you would have found out about it earlier, right? He’s been around since you were able to think. You must have touched before? But no, if you remembered correctly, he indeed has been there every day but always stayed at a respectful distance. You couldn’t even remember brushing him in passing. And he has never been one of your opponents in a sword fight either. How was this even possible?

You moved your hand out of his grip and softly touched his face. He leaned into the touch and closed his eyes. A welcoming warmth spread from your fingers through the rest of your body. The red mark on Loki’s skin slowly disappeared. The mark on your palm did too, you guessed.

When Loki opened his eyes, a single tear fell, wetting your fingers and running down the back of your hand. Why was he crying? Have you done something wrong? Did your touch hurt him?

But before you could ask, he leaned forward and closed the distance with a soft kiss. With his lips on yours, you felt complete for the first time in your life.

King had stared at the floor a lot, since they got back, and he’d paused in the tidying efforts to do so as well. But none of his previous staring sessions had found him with such a puzzled look in his eye, so Purple figured it was alright to ask what he was thinking about. He hadn’t expected the answer. “I don’t know when it started creaking this much.” “Huh?” Purple blinked, looking down as well. “You mean, the floor?” “The wood.” King nodded. “I’ve been hearing it this whole time, since we started moving stuff around. I swear it never used to be this noisy.” Purple paced thoughtfully around the increasingly empty floor, a hand pressed to his chin as he listened to the creaks and groans of wooden boards that had distracted King from the task at hand. “I’m guessing all that stuff over there used to be against these walls?” Purple asked, waving his arms at the washed-out grey-green that formed the boundaries of the open room. King nodded. “Most of it.” Purple nodded again. “There’s your answer. When stuff sits on a floor long enough, the whole house sort of…shapes to it, or something. The wood settles around the weight. Now that you went and moved it all, the weight isn’t where the wood is used to it being. So, creaks.” King sighed, but one corner of his lip quirked despite the distance in his eyes. “So the house is complaining that the furniture isn’t where it should be?” Purple didn’t meet his eyes, looking at the floor again as he slid one foot along the wooden boards, carefully shifting his weight until the flooring yielded another groan. He winced, realized he’d winced, and covered it with a smirk as he looked up. “I used to hear that it was the house complaining that the people in it weren’t where they should be.”

The whole family had rotated between the multiple dwellings throughout tournament season.
