Shout out to Black Eyed Peas, who performed in Poland at New Year concert sponsored and broadcasted nationwide by conservative state-owned tv station while wearing rainbow bands. Will.i.am then dedicated "Where Is The Love" to Jewish, POC and LGBTQ+ minorities facing discrimination worlwide.

After the concert will.i.am posted a statement to his socials saying that the band is called "Black Eyed Peas", not "Black Eyed PiS", PiS being the name of the current, extremely conservative, ruling party and repeated his message of love, peace and equality.

Fingers crossed, good vibes, even thoughts and prayers. I'm not a person of faith, but hell, I'll take thoughts and prayers at this stage. Please please please someone make these stinking bastards LOSE. Just fucking LOSE.

They took over the constitutional tribunal and did the "oups that's not constitutional anymore" to our abortion rights (more or less what happened to Roe...). They managed to put their own bought corrupt stinky judges into way too many courts. They are forcing fucked up "patriotic" curriculum on the kids. They messed up the school system FOR MY SON when he was just in the middle of his education. They are endangering pregnant women by criminalising even miscarriage (a woman who miscarried reported that police checking out the sewers coming from her house...) They are keeping refugees on the border, not allowing them even to petition for protection, throwing people into the woods in autumn and winter, kids, pregnant women...

(I know these things are not equal, but they just fuck up so much at the same time I can't even summarise it properly...!)

I just want them to GO. GO AWAY, stop ruining my country. I am not a very patriotic person, I'm not 100% of one nationality or other, half of my family is from all around the bloody continent, from Carrara to Mariupol. But I live in Poland and I'm just.

Them.

The votes are still being counted (it's 50% as of this post) but one thing is for sure: Konfederacja, the most right-wing entity in Polish politics, is HUMILIATED. This vile conglomerate of dog-eat-dog libertarians, anti-Ukrainian nationalists, misogynists and straight-up nutjobs (being anti-vax is just the tip of the huge iceberg of crazy for them) that vowed to "flip the table" is looking at the lowest result of all the five parties that are getting in.

What the fuck

In an absolutely not shocking turn of events, the far right has turned the first session of Polish parliament into a shitshow.

Grzegorz Braun, a member of Konfederacja party, the thinly veiled fascists in polish parliament, used a fire extinguisher to extinguish a menorah that was standing in the hall of Sejm. That's another racist/ xenophobic act under his belt. Later on he argued that hanukkah is inherently racist and morally bankrupt and got kicked out of the parliament session.

I'm sorry to the Jewish people but his party is thankfully losing support and hopefully will break up soon.

What an absolute shit show.

Not the only wild event during this session though. Yesterday Jarosław Kaczyński, the leader of PiS- the ruling party for the last 8 years - went to the rostrum after Donald Tusk was voted into the position of Prime Minister, started speaking without any explanation and accused Tusk of being a German agent.

This accusation is even more out of place when you consider that Jarosław Kaczyński was a vice - prime minister for around the past 6 months, and he was supposed to be focusing on internal safety. So even if he was a German agent that would mean that Kaczyński was incredibly incompetent in this role, which, well, checks out.
