it’s insane to me that you WOULDNT consider which iteration the gang are in. like their interpersonal dynamics change with each show/film, eg the gang in the sword and the scoob are NOT the same gang as mystery incorporated. each interpretation has their own strengths & weaknesses and better/worse traits for the characters, but the story being told changes parts of the gang and therefore how they interact with each other & their dynamics as a whole

I am a strong believer in the Poly Mystery Inc, and I felt the need to make this post just to say that they read books together. Daphne and Velma share cheesy romance books or Nancy Drew books, Shaggy likes readying cook books or graphic novels, and Fred likes reading mystery and thriller books.

My Scooby Doo ships Headcanon

HI scooby doo fam. I would like to add my scooby doo ship headcanon to the pile. Okie Dokie, Lets get started.

Shaggy & Daphne are BI/Pan and are dating each other. Shaggy and Daphne are very Intune with theirs and the gangs emotions and needs. Shaggy is the best cook in the gang and know exactly what each one of his friend's favorite / comfort foods are and will cook them with out need to be asked and knows when someone is sick or just need a hug. Daphne is the person to talk to if you are having a bad day or just need to talk someone. She is the best listener in the gang and gives the best advice. Freddie is also bi but leans more toward liking men. Velma is super gay. Both Freddy and Velma are incredibly smart. Freddie with his traps and plans. Velma for her problem solving and deductive reasoning. they are also incredibly dumb when it comes to feelings and romance. Ok personalities out of the way time for shipping.

Shaggy likes Freddie and Daphne and is the most chill about liking both and helps Daphne when she tries to flirt with Velma because he has know Velma since they were in diapers. and knows that Daphne's attempts will fly over Velma head. He loves to make Daphne and Freddie blush.

Daphne like Shaggy and Velma and feels a little guilt it about till she talks to Shaggy about it. she very bad at flirting with Velma. she tries to get Velma attention with hair flips and touching her. But fails till Shaggy starts helping her out.

Freddie like Shaggy and feels so guilty because Shaggy is best guy friend (only guy friend ) and has a girlfriend who is also one his bestfriend and doesn't know what to do.

Velma likes Daphne and also feels guilty for liking her best girl-friend and doesn't want to hurt Shaggy is basically her brother. She and Freddie talk about not knowing what do about their crushes on their bestfriends that are dating each other.

they also talk about the fact that Shaggy and Daphne flirt with them shamelessly but are still dating each other. For example Shaggy and Daphne are making out when they are done Shaggy with Daphne favorite shade of pink lipstick still on his lips with just start to play with Freddie's ascot and saying he loves Freddie's eyes. Poor boy is so confused. Daphne is fixing her makeup post making out and telling Velma she would love to see what her lipstick stains on Velma look like. Poor girl turns so red you think her brain might have melted.

One day Shaggy and Daphne ask Freddie and Velma on a double date to say Freddie and Velma are confused is an understatement. they think it them and Shaggy and Daphne till after Shaggy pulls out Freddie's chair and sits next to him and Daphne sits next Velma. they sit across one another holding hands on the table but are shamelessly flirting with the person sitting next to them. Freddie and Velma are very confused till Daphne and Shaggy explain. they still are dating each other but wish to add Freddie and Velma. After explaining it a couple more time Freddie and Velma now have a boyfriend and girlfriends are every happy.

How would we feel if I'm plotting a mystery incorporated fic since I'm rewatching the series? About the gang running away, essentially, after the series ends and solving mysteries. Very coming of age, lgbtq+ romance (Marcie/Velma and poly gang sorta), neurodivergent characters and dealing with their trauma over the years and in their childhoods.

uh oh… i’ve got some opinions on the scooby ships:

• Fraphne (Fred x Daphne): i really like this one! they’ve had a good amount of cute moments in the franchise. started liking this pairing at some point in 2019.

• Shelma (Shaggy x Velma): i don’t really like this one, even without SDMI’s and Curse Of The Lake Monster’s portrayals of the pairing. cannot vibe with it partially because i see their relationship as more of a brother & sister type one instead of romantic.

• Shaphne (Shaggy x Daphne): i will admit i used to hyper-fixate over this pairing back in 2018 up until November of that year and then the hyper-fixation started to fade away and then by mid 2019 i had completely stopped thinking about Shaphne. i only really have thought of these two as close friends for the past couple of years now. but i don’t hate it at all though i still think it’s a very cute ship!

• Frelma (Fred x Velma): can’t really vibe with this one either. i really only see these two as close/best friends in my mind.

• Vaphne (Daphne x Velma): it’s a cool ship in my opinion. makes me think of that one episode of What’s New Scooby Doo where they were living together. plus all the fanart i’ve seen of them are adorable.

• Fraggy (Fred x Shaggy): same thoughts on this as Vaphne.

• Poly Mystery Inc (gang ot4): this is a fun one! tbh i hadn’t really given it much thought until maybe over a year ago, but i think it’s good.

• Varcie (Velma x Marcie): VERY good ship. definitely my favorite Velma ship tbh. would be interested in seeing these two together outside of the SDMI universe if they ever decide to bring back Marcie.

3. What ideas come from when you were little

hmmmm. uh well not quite 'little' i was in my early teens but i did recently do [a redraw of my old self-insert who i shipped with ryou bakura from yu-gi-oh] haha... i don't think there's a lot i'm still interested in from when i was very young that i actively am inspired by now. maybe magical girl anime? i guess i've always loved bright colours. and superheroes.

8. What's an old project idea that you've lost interest in

my scooby doo AU 😭 i feel terribly about it because it was something i loved, basically it was gonna be a diverse OT4 poly re-write of the 2009 direct-to-DVD movie 'scooby doo: the mystery begins' but the more and more modern scooby doo projects (crass humour, weird dynamics between characters & flanderising character personalities, and 'mature' themes especially) that came out since i started working on it the more disheartened i got with the whole idea of mystery inc haha. my vision has always been a down-to-earth version with a more emotionally grounded core (4 misfits finding true soulmates in each other, plus their pet dog) without any bloody... scooby is an eldritch horror or whatever the fuck. for me, he should be just a dog, big and dopey and loveable but otherwise unremarkable. anyway the art i did on the AU plus the playlists my wonderful friend @budcortfancam did can all be found [in the tag here on my blog]

What is your most controversial headcanon in any fandom?

Oh gosh 😭😭 most controversial? Idk I don't really have controversial headcanons if I'm being honest

Maybe the most based in just my own vibes and invention of the character I wrote in my head would be that I headcanoned Lance McClain from Voltron as having OCD and then told no one else about that headcanon ever and then the show's writing got really bad and I left before shit hit the fan so I get to live in the invented version of that show in my head rather than the actual canon reality😭😭😭😭😭

Um also maybe the fact that I ship Poly!Mystery Inc. But once again that's not really controversial I think a lot of people ship those 4 hippie kids together 😭

1. This blog is strictly self shippers only. No ocs allowed or character x character if they aren’t already canonically together or there are plans in development that they will be together, e.g. daphne and fred from mystery inc or husk and angel dust from hazbin hotel. However, even then it would be poly x reader. You can request singular characters for them too, of course.

2. Imagines work the same way as scenarios, which is why I put imagines/scenarios. They are pretty lengthy (for me anyway, I try to keep them short) but nowhere as long as my oneshots. They are not similar to reactions as a reaction would focus on the person of interest thoughts, whereas a scenario is both(?), if that makes sense. You didn’t ask, but just to compare. Drabbles entirely depends on length, e.g. here (it could be shorter too). Otherwise you request the same way you would by following my rules here.

3. I do have a daphne x male! clown reader in my inbox right now. I haven’t touched it or posted it yet because I’m waiting for the inspiration to come to me.
