I feel like there is a strong correlation to Frank Hubert’s initial subtext with Dune (its islamic religious themes, a premise setting an empire against local populaces, the attention towards ecological developments in desert environments with a bias towards temperate zones from outsiders wanting to “enrich” the land), and all of the recent developments in Gaza and its history, both with the original influences to Hubert’s novel and the timing of a blockbuster adaptation happening while international focus grows towards Palestine, that is going unmentioned outside of the usual jokes and memes

So, this plant. . . if you rub the leaves between your fingers and then your fingers then smell exactly like buttery popcorn. Apparently once it blossoms in late summer, the flowers themselves also smell like buttered popcorn.

Guess who was the first person to pop into my mind after I tried it out. 💀

Google says it makes a good houseplant, so Jess has got one in her office, I'm convinced. Question is - how did she find out this plant is a thing? Could you imagine how excited she was to learn it even exists? Can totally picture Carol or Lindsay finding one and bringing it to her ( @danversiism their little cinema conversation comes to mind😭).

Just picturing her opening up the door once it blooms and she's instantly in heaven.

Do you guys think that slime mold is slimy or fuzzy? Or both? I drew it sort of ooze like for the sake of simplicity here, but I tend to imagine it fuzzy for some reason.
