Pronunciation of Northern Portugal

The dialect of Northern Portugal is considered to be the closest to that of original portuguese. The accent is quite different from the Lisbon accent and southern Portuguese accent, and there are also some differences in vocabulary and expressions.

I don’t know how I missed this one! Native Portuguese is a YouTube channel dedicated to teaching European Portuguese. It started about a year ago. Most of the content is for beginners with a big focus basic conversation in real-world contexts (like ordering a coffee). Will be interesting to see how the channel develops over time!

The Brazilian novela I'm watching to learn Portuguese doesn't have subtitles so I'm quite struggling with it. If anyone knows where I could find even half-decent, even automatically generated subtitles for it, you'd have my eternal gratitude.

Language learners of Tumblr: does anybody have any suggestions for resources to learn Brazilian Portuguese?

Exceptions: no Duolingo, and preferably something that's structured (ie workbooks/courses/etc rather than YouTube channels yknow, like yeah I'll be watching YouTube to supplement my learning but I don't want it to be my main resource)

Trying to move from B1 to B2+ in European Portuguese? One of the biggest hurdles is o modo conjuntivo. Mia Esmeriz put together a short e-book with an overview of the presente, imperfeito, and futuro forms. Check it out here!

She also talks about it in a YouTube video if you prefer oral explanations.

Trying to learn Portuguese over here. And for something I was writing I wanted to know the positive, comparative and superlative(good, better, best) conjugation of adjectives specifically for mau(bad). I kid you not I spent maybe 15 minutes looking for something about it, because I have PAID resources, resources I PAID for and I couldn’t find anything there. So when I started searching for “Portuguese adjective conjugation” NONE OF THE RESOURCES EVEN MENTIONED IT.

AND IN THE END THE FIRST THING THAT COMES UP IS THE WIKI PAGE FOR PORTUGUESE GRAMMAR. THE WIKI PAGE FOR PORTUGUESE GRAMMAR!!!!!

Maybe I’ve gotten to used to easy to read resources with all the information where it’s supposed to be, with easy to fact check info because sometimes they just lie, but that could just be me.

The prompt for today is: Over the next week, create a playlist/playlists of songs in your target language(s), they can either have a specific mood or genre or they can be a collection of songs you've discovered. interestingly the only mention i can find of a monastery loquarium is (rendered "loquorium") in "the california padres and their mission" by charles francis saunders and joseph smeaton chase, a book in the public domain:
