#possessive ben solo

GOOD NEWS!
I did a little research, and it turns out that when most really strong Force users die, their bodies ~*disappear*~!
We're all safe from Ben Solo's dreams of corpse possession!
Well, unless he finds someone else's corpse to wear around.
But surely there's some kind of Light Side moral code which forbids that sort of thing.
Right?

Body sock Ben Solo
This is where I thought the storyline was going to go.
Palpatine has already established that he enjoyed perverting the 'good' force users (Anakin Skywalker becoming his boy/the Jedi Council not seeing a Sith master right there). Manipulation, deceit and rousing speeches are his biscuits and gravy.
The daughter of your most successful perversion and some dipshit smuggler manage to help take down your Empire, then go on to have a massively powerful force-user for a child who is also the nephew of Luke Skywalker, the person who turned your personal attack hound into your own yeet machine.
Oh man, that kid is going to be hollowed out like a melon then 'ol Palps is going to pour himself right in.
That's where I thought all that 'tearing me apart' stuff was going, tear this boys soul in twain then slither in like a warm noodle, get up in there wholesale.
The revenge boner of Palpatine as he takes over the body of the scion of the Skywalker family, leave some instructions to his trusted minions, then have a big old change of heart!
Now you're at the tit of the Rebellion.
Mummy and Daddy just want their baby boy home and they've got him. A few sacrifices to the cause, get the Rebellion to trust him, let him in on all their secrets then bam! strike attacks on all the bases, all the planets who provided help.
Now Palpatine's got a hot, young bod, an Empire to re-establish and a sexy scavenger (also a powerful Force user) to start a dynasty in.

Can you do something angsty with Kylo ren for the 1k follower event? Like makeup/breakup (or both) preferably with a little 🌶️🥵
Kylo Ren, my favorite sad boy. Maybe it’s because I have such a crush on Adam Driver, but I adore Kylo Ren. Maybe it’s because I love dark side-leaning hotties. (Although nothing compares to Darth Maul but I digress). Now, I (personally) see Kylo Ren/Ben Solo as one person, just different personas, however, for this prompt, we’re talking about Kylo Ren. How would Kylo Ren react to a makeup/breakup scenario?? Honestly? Probably not well. Let’s be real.
Most of these are with gn!reader w/ an exception or two.
Content & Warnings (MDNI): angst, toxic/unhealthy relationships, suggestive themes, possessive behavior, non-descriptive mentions of sex

Tumblr media
First and foremost, with how toxic the First Order is, and everyone wanting leverage on others in order to move up the ranks, Kylo would never be open about his relationship with you. He would do everything in his power to hide his relationship with you for that very reason. It’s almost giving Anakin hiding Padme from the Jedi, but in a different light.
Of everyone that might know, it would be Supreme Leader Snoke. Snoke would absolutely use this relationship to manipulate Kylo Ren. He’d encourage the passion but would also devise ways to undermine Kylo’s relationship with you. He’s basically Palpatine in that regard.
The breakup would come from you, not from Kylo Ren unless Snoke deliberately told him to call it off. Even then, I think Kylo would try to hang on to you. He leans toward the dark side but he’s not Sith. He just wants to belong, and he wants to be wanted.
The breakup isn’t explosive or argumentative. If anything, Kylo appears outwardly calm.  It’s almost frustrating for you because you wanted some kind of reaction from him.
It’s the afterward, when you leave, that Kylo loses it. That lightsaber is coming out and heads are rolling. He’ll never unleash his anger on you, but he’ll unleash his anger on stormtroopers, control panels, and literally anything else that might be in his way.
After Kylo has cooled off, he’s going to come after you. This man is determined to hunt you down and keep you by his side, even if you don’t want it. Let’s be real here folks, Kylo’s love is toxic and unhealthy, especially if we’re talking about Force Awakens & Last Jedi Kylo Ren. This man will search the galaxy to find you again.
He’ll do it himself, too. He’s not leaving this task up to stormtroopers or to Hux. Kylo and his Knights are coming after you. Period.
When he does find you again, you put up a fight, but you’re no match for him. Kylo drags you back with him and confines you to a room. It’s comfortable, and you have everything you need, but you’re not allowed to leave.
Kylo visits you often, and in this, he is also calm—to a point. He insists you made the wrong choice, and is fairly reasonable about it. But of course, you push his buttons. Eventually, he fractures, and he’s more like the Kylo we see in the interrogation room with Rey. Kylo has patience, but it’s only for you.
This back-and-forth eventually implodes, coming to a head that only ends with the two of you reuniting physically.
It’s Kylo that acts first. He wants you, and he always wants you to stop talking for a few seconds. Which is why he grabs the back of your neck and draws you in for a kiss.
You don’t fight him. You melt into him, wrapping your arms around his neck. These first few kisses are all soft, and then quickly devolve into insistence.
Clothes are ripped away from bodies until it’s skin-against-skin.
Kylo needs to dominate here. He needs to establish that he’s the one in control and that you only want him.
He won’t force anything. Kylo will never cross that line.
Kylo will need verbal confirmation that you’re his. He might delay or even control your orgasm just to hear you say that you belong to him.
Kylo will make you beg, and won’t give you your end until he’s complete satisfied that you’re his again.

Legends is so fun!
One time Leia battled a force sensitive hutt
There was trioculus (who had three eyes) who impersonated the Emperor’s real three eyed son triclops. Who ran off into a forest and just kinda disappeared after that
Luke and Mara both kinda gave birth to Ben through the force
The empire hired an actor to pretend to be thrawn towards the end of their power
One time Luke had to possess the body of his three year old nephew to protect his own body from being destroyed (his spirit had been forced from his body by ancient Sith) yeah a 3 year old with the powers and skill of a full Jedi master
At some point almost every other book had one or more member of the Solo family getting kidnapped
Chewie was crushed by a moon (rip)
Leia was called Lady Vader from time to time
I know there’s more but these are things that stick out to me
LUKE MPREG!??!?!??!?!?!??!?!? WHAT THE EVERLOVING FUCK IS GOING ON IN LEGENDS???????????????

Context
Hux. Short version, Hux reveals Kylo killing Snoke to the FIrst Order leadership. Hux ousts Ben and becomes Supreme Leader. Now Hux plans to exterminate The Jedi, force sensitives everywhere and lead to the death of the force. Long version read here.
Kylo as the villain. Adam Driver said the plan was never to redeem Ben Solo, that was a late change to appease everyone. So my big pitch for Supreme Leader Kylo Ren. To me Kylo Ren is what Vader could’ve been had he reached his full potential. A Vader who was never wounded on Mustafar, a Vader who killed a close family member and his master. He is the villain they were looking for, but no they had to course correct. As for what his motivation could be, exactly what he said. Finish what Vader started. Destroy the Light and reign over the galaxy as Supreme Leader. Long version. Other look at Kylo as the villain
Snoke's essence transferred into Kylo Ren the moment he killed Snoke.
Darth Plagueis was a powerful Sith Lord who could influence the midichlorians to create life and also save others from dying. He taught everything he knew to his apprentice, Sheev Palpatine (aka Darth Sidious), but he eventually lost his power and young Palpatine killed him in his sleep. How could Plagueis not foresee his own demise at the hands of his ambitious apprentice? Why did Plagueis suddenly “lose his power”? The truth is, he didn’t lose his power and he knew Sidious planned to kill him. It was part of the plan. By dying, I believe Darth Plagueis was able to transmit himself into Sheev and assume control of his body, almost like an infectious disease. Ever notice his name? Darth Plagueis. Plague, as in an infectious disease. Darth Plagueis unlocked the secret to immortality by moving from one body to the next, continuing his lifespan through multiple hosts over countless years. Ever wonder why Palpatine was so obsessed with training a powerful young apprentice? Surely he knew that one day the apprentice would want to overthrow him, so why train his own murderer? In Return of the Jedi, Emperor Palpatine continually provokes Luke to strike him down. Why would Palpatine want to be killed if the goal is longevity? Because Emperor Palpatine was assumed by Darth Plagueis and, through his death, he would then be able to transmit himself into a new host body. He wasn’t just looking for an apprentice, he was looking for a new body since Palpatine’s body was growing old. Luke Skywalker was meant to be the next host body for Darth Plagueis. But unfortunately for Plagueis, Darth Vader had a change of heart and defeated the Emperor. Snoke was Plagueis. It’s the only way to make things work. StarWars.com describes Snoke as a seeker of arcane and ancient lore, and the Last Jedi Visual Dictionary shows that he is a collector of rare memorabilia. At some point, Snoke must have found the wreckage of the Death Star on the forest moon Endor, and was infected by Darth Plagueis when he came upon the corpse of Palpatine. Did you ever wonder why Snoke thought it was so important to complete Kylo Ren’s training? It’s because Snoke was Darth Plagueis and he was training his next host body. Plagueis didn’t have a choice but to infect a really old political influencer like Snoke. Kylo was being groomed to become the next host body. Remember the infamous scene in The Last Jedi where Snoke is “predicting” how Kylo Ren will kill Rey? Wasn’t it a little too obvious? Wouldn’t Snoke have been able to foresee Kylo’s treachery? See through his conflict? It’s because he wasn’t predicting Rey’s death, he predicted his own. He knew Kylo would kill him. He deliberately bullied and provoked Kylo in order to stir his anger into hatred to further fuel his dark side and lead him to completing his training.
So Darth Plagueis goal would be to transfer his essence into Rey and in failing in that. He will drain the life force from the Dyad to satiate his own life force.
Thrawn. Cardinal West's Sequel Trilogy rewrite has the best take of Thrawn as the villain
youtube
Rae Sloane.
Rae Sloane founded The First Order! Sloane was loyal to the Empire, so much so, rather than allowing it to cease to exist, she recruited other loyalists and they fled to the Unknown Territories beyond Jakku. She founded the First Order. Together with Hux, she could usurp control of the First Order and become Supreme Leader, which would start a civil war, those loyal to Sloane and those loyal to Kylo. We can have someone who could be a great antagonist to Leia. The founder of The First Order and the mother of the Resistance. What makes Rae a compelling character is the fact that she believes what the Empire is doing is right. In her eyes, the Empire is doing the right thing, purging lawlessness from a galaxy overrun by bureaucrats that care little for the common people. She’s wrong, but like great villains before her, audiences can see where she’s coming from even if they don’t agree with it. Throughout her many appearances in the supplemental Star Wars narratives, she is constantly pushing for the Empire to be “just.” When things start to fall apart after the Battle of Endor, Rae struggles to keep the remnants of the fleet playing by the unspoken rules of warfare and is frustrated to see the Empire careen into backstabbing and incompetence. You can see Rae’s influence in the First Order with its strict hierarchy and minute by-the-books stringency that makes Palpatine’s Empire look positively laissez-faire by comparison. Supreme Leader Rae Sloane would make The First Order a force to be reckoned with and what better way to end it than with the First Order’s founder?
The Grysks.
The Grysks were introduced in the new canon novel Thrawn:Alliances. They are what brings Thrawn to the Empire in hopes of co-existing to fight this threat in the Unknown Regions. Grysks are a species living somewhere in the Unknown Regions. Creatures half of myth, whom few have ever seen. It is said that they are nomads, with no fixed home, traveling in spacecraft so numerous they blot out the stars. They are said to be terrifying warriors, overwhelming their opponents by sheer numbers and ferocity. The fact that these intergalactic conquerors are not the main threat in the Sequel Trilogy is baffling. You could’ve had Ben Solo sense they were coming during his Jedi days and made the ultimate sacrifice to become Kylo Ren and join The First Order because he knew the New Republic was not ready to face such a threat. It wouldn’t make what he was doing the entire trilogy right, but it would make explain why he turned and what his motivations are.
I don't really have a explanation for Qi'Ra, but she was trained by Maul, took over the Crimson Dawn and you don't waste Emilia Clarke on one movie that never continued. So Qi'Ra as the villain could've worked.
A Mandalorian invasion lead by Fett writes itself.
I know it's technically Palpatine, but it works better because we don't stupidly retcon Anakin's sacrifice. This was planned, but the idiots that be decided it would be better if Ian played him. So instead this is the perfected clone. The Clone Wars were a test for Palpatine to perfect cloning. Throughout the reign as Emperor, he tinkered with cloning force sensitives, created a lot of failures(Snoke) but prior to Endor, he perfected it and kept it as a fail safe should he die. And after Kylo Ren killed Snoke, he awakened. Palpatine reborn. The movie opens at the end of the war. Finn successfully consurs up a Stormtrooper Rebellion and all the FO officers are executed, Hux is captured and Rey beats Kylo Ren for the umpteenth time. The First Order are on their last legs. Until a message is delivered to the galaxy.
“People of the galaxy. Your Emperor has returned after thirty long, lawless years. To the Sith and the Jedi; follow the Holocrons. We have much work to do. Those who remained loyal to me shall be rewarded. For those who relished in my demise, who celebrated what they thought the end of the Empire and believed their treachery had won them the galaxy…only death and suffering await. The great error shall be corrected. The day of victory is at hand. The restoration of the Empire! The Final Order! The Day of the Sith!”
And it's a race. Rey and the Resistance hoping to stop The Emperor, while Kylo Ren is hoping to kill Palpatine, obtain the power of the Sith Eternal and an infinite fleet that will win the galaxy, but in the end, Rey and Kylo are forced to work together. Matt Smith as Palpatine could've fixed the movie
The final contingency of the Emperor. Cloning Luke Skywalker. Palpatine had foreseen either Luke will kill him and Vader or Vader will betray him. So Palpatine orders that Luke's hand be brought to him. Luke is cloned, but imperfectly. He is just a husk of power, so Palpatine has the greatest minds of the Empire indoctrinate this malleable clone to being the heir and the eventual savior of the Empire. This clone. Let's refer to him as Luuke. Luuke learned everything there was from Palpatine. His Machiavellian cunning mechanisms. Mastery over the dark side and fully believed in his master's will and plans for him.
Luuke foresaw that there would be problems if he revealed himself. SO he created a puppet, Snoke. Through Snoke, he turned Kylo Ren to the dark side and puppeteered The First Order. Masterminding everything from the shadows and after Snoke and the real Luke Skywalker's deaths, it was time to reveal himself.
Luuke's motivations are to bring Kylo Ren to heel or cast him aside, turn Rey to the dark side or kill her and rule the galaxy as his master intended for him. This dark side Luke would unite both Rey and Ben against him and would give Mark Hamill the opportunity to play a dark side Luke Skywalker.

WARNING: POSSIBLE SPOILERS FOR STAR WARS LEGENDS
One take I regularly see from the “Jedi Critical” corner of this fandom always manages to baffle me: “In Legends, Luke Skywalker corrected the mistakes of the dogmatic Jedi Order!”
Since my days as a dumbass first-time tumblr user, in which I was rather sternly corrected by older users if I got too aggressive in my arguments, I’ve tried to steer away from pointing out how STUPID that take is. But? Nothing’s saying I can’t make a post of my own about it!
So.
With the bare minimum of due respect.
What fucking book did you read where Luke Skywalker corrected his own fucking mistakes, let alone those of any Jedi who came before him?
Because from what I’VE read? Luke had a nasty habit of doing the same things everyone criticizes the Prequel Jedi for doing, only ramping the ante up in a way only a Skywalker trained by TWO of the Disaster Lineage can.
Mace Windu threatened a “helpless” old Chancellor in his own office and was trying to assassinate him? Gag me. Luke Skywalker electrocuted Shimrra Jamaane to death with Force Lightn-pardon me, “eLeCtRiC jUsTiCe.”
The Jedi Order of the Prequels used Padawans as “child soldiers”? Please. Luke Skywalker possessed the body of his nephew to duel Exar Kun…when Jacen Solo was TWO, a FUCKING TODDLER. That’s not even getting into the number of very young teenagers who died horrible deaths as SOLDIERS in the war against the Yuuzhan Vong - for pity’s sake, Anakin Solo was knighted at sixteen and KILLED AT SEVENTEEN, where his grandfather’s knighting at nineteen was considered a rush job!
The Galactic Army of the Republic was a slave army? So was the army of YVH-1 battle droids built to battle the Yuuzhan Vong invasion! “Oh, but those were just droids” yeah and? The anti-Jedi folk cried when Anakin Skywalker was rightfully punished for not wiping R2’s memory of sensitive battle information, and they’ve outright said they have more sympathy for the battle droids than for the living, breathing people defending themselves against the battle droids. Not to mention, Legends had a Droid’s Rights movement in full swing at this point in time, so? YVH’s were people programmed from “birth” to die in battle. Next question.
Obi-Wan was too mean to Darth Maul and Darth Vader when he cut off their limbs? Alema Rar would like a word! Luke Skywalker permanently crippled her lightsaber arm, his sister cut off one of her feet AND one of her lekku (brain tails, that HAVE HER BRAIN IN THEM), AND put her in the way of a spider-sloth that BIT HER IN FUCKING HALF. And this was after Luke helped raise her as a youngling and HAD A VISION OF HER TURNING TO THE DARK SIDE, and did FUCK-ALL to prevent her from turning!
On the topic of doing fuck-all to prevent something…oh, was Obi-Wan Kenobi unable to prevent his Padawan from being groomed by a Sith Lord? Well, Luke Skywalker GAVE his son Ben as an unofficial apprentice to Jacen Solo, who turned out to be Darth Caedus and mentally, emotionally, and physically tortured Ben for six years! And, while Obi-Wan did not like Palpatine and continuously advised Anakin not to trust him without even knowing Palpatine was Sidious, Luke fully suspected Jacen was headed down a dark path and still encouraged Ben to be his apprentice because he was afraid of the Skywalker legacy dying with him.
Obi-Wan Kenobi flirted inappropriately with enemy generals? Luke Skywalker banged them. No, seriously, Legends Luke’s sexual body count is in double digits, the man was an unrepentant fuckboi. Mara Jade, Calista Masana/Mingla, Gaerial Captison, Shira Brie, some blonde named Mary who was in one comic to die at the end, fucking ABELOTH? Yeah, Luke only married one of those women, BUT HE FUCKED ALL OF THEM. And now, we have the DinLuke ship (which only exists in fanon, so I will count it as Legends) to mirror the Codywan ship (which actually has some basis in canon), just to cement that Luke Skywalker is a persistent playboy for BOTH teams. He loves them and leaves them like a pro.
Oh, there’s a persistent fan-theory that Korkie Kryze was Satine and Obi-wan’s secret love child? There were rumors that Brisha Syo was Shira Brie’s daughter with Luke…rumors that were credible enough that Luke had to do his own investigation into the matter. Shira Brie, aka Lady Lumiya, whom Luke blew to smithereens when she tried to kill him, and fought her with no mercy when Darth Vader pieced her back together and sent her to fight him again. So, while Obi-Wan has a rumored lovechild from a respectful relationship with a woman who opted not to tell him, Luke legitimately blew up his alleged baby mamma in the void of space with the bare minimum of regret.
Yoda and Obi-Wan sent Luke to kill his own father because they couldn’t manage to do so? Luke sent his niece, Jaina Solo, to kill her TWIN BROTHER because he could not bring himself to kill Jacen himself. And, while Luke was understandably torn up about killing Anakin, Jaina had a Force-bond comparable with a canon dyad withh Jacen - it hurt her a lot more when she killed Jacen than it ever would have hurt Luke to kill Vader. She nearly DIED of heartbreak, that’s how bad it was.
Obi-Wan hurt Anakin’s trust by faking his death and going undercover? He beat the crap out of Anakin to maintain his cover? Luke hurt Leia’s trust by faking turning to the Dark Side, becoming a reborn Sidious’s new apprentice, ACTUALLY FALLING TO THE DARK SIDE, and mentally fighting Leia WHILE SHE WAS PREGNANT, to the point she WENT INTO LABOR EARLY.
Obi-Wan beat Anakin in a duel and left him to burn to death? Luke Skywalker BEAT THE LIVING HELL out of Vader until Vader was wordlessly pleading for MERCY, which he DID NOT DO ON MUSTAFAR.
Now.
Is there any nuance in Luke’s situations, throughout all of these examples? Yes, there is...but there’s also nuance in the Jedi’s situation in the Prequels, which no one seems to acknowledge in their case. So, whatever grace I extend to Legends!Luke being an imperfect and fascinating character, also extends to the Jedi being imperfect and fascinating characters in their own right.
I love Legends!Luke BECAUSE he reminds me of the Prequels Jedi, not because he corrected any of their “mistakes” (he did not. He very clearly did not). So don’t come at me saying Legends!Luke was better than the Prequel Jedi. I have read the books! I have kept the receipts! AND I WILL USE THEM.

I love the way you justify any sick shit just because you like it. Ships with violence against women (Darklina, Reylo) - yes, ships with pedophilia (SebaCiel) - yes, just because you like these particular characters, you are ready to look for "depth" and "complexity" there, but only because YOU PERSONALLY do not like Aegon or Aemond or anyone else, they cannot be complicated and interesting characters in someone's perception. Hypocrisy and stupidity. You accuse people of justifying violence and consider your opinion the only true one, even though you do exactly the same thing yourself, instead of admitting, "yes, I think these characters are hot, so I'll turn a blind eye to what they do."
Darkling and Kylo Ren / Ben Solo = Canonical gray and complex characters. (Oh and Kylo Ren / Ben Solo is a real victim of grooming)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Aegon II and Aemond = Canonical villains (besides being rapists).
“The groom was fifteen years of age ; a lazy and somewhat sulky boy, Septon Eustace tells us, but possessed of more than healthy appetites, a glutton at table, given to swilling ale and strongwine and pinching and fondling any serving girl who strayed within his reach.” - About Aegon II.
“Thus did the flower of House Strong, an ancient line of noble warriors boasting descent from the First Men, come to an ignoble end in the ward at Harrenhal. No trueborn Strong was spared, nor any bastard save... oddly... Alys Rivers. Though the wet nurse was twice his age (thrice, if we put our trust in Mushroom), Prince Aemond had taken her into his bed as a prize of war soon after taking Harrenhal, seemingly preferring her to all the other women of the castle, including many pretty maids of his own years.”
What doesn't click for you here in terms of simple differences ? These characters literally have nothing to do with each other. Not my fault if you are not able to understand this simple fact of how they were written. It's not me who ready to look depth or complexity in them. They are literally written like that, but not really the Greens by GRRM.
In addition, what you say is false, because I always said that I liked the original Aemond, as a pure villain within the dance obviously, due to the context of his writing, namely that Aemond is Daemon's foil (the real gray and complex character), a dark reflection of this latter, and that's quite fascinating, complex, and cool for me to analyze (and that is the reason why I don't like Aemond in the HOTD version, because he actually loses that essential narrative feature that basically makes him who he is in Fire and Blood).
But sorry to say, nothing about Aemond's original characterization as a person is deep or complex, much less the rest of his later actions. Literally he is presented as a little devil from childhood and stay like that until the end.
It's Aegon II, indeed, who I don't find interesting at all, even as a villain. He's just pathetic and disgusting, and anyway it seems to me that these are canonical traits of him...
But some people like this type of villain and good for them, it's just not my personal cup of tea.
I prefer Aemond, and more particularly Alicent, in the group of villains among the Greens, especially because as I said, they are more interesting for me to analyze.
I still remind you that Alicent, from Fire and Blood, is one of my favorite villains in all categories. She's that type of villain that you never get tired of loving to hate. She's a rotten woman with rotten motivations, but she's interesting to watch / reading because she's still the one running the whole Rhaenyra usurpation operation, not Otto. Alicent, in canon, is an intelligent villain who will do anything to achieve her selfish ends at the head of operations. And it's always satisfying to have this kind of villain to face the protagonist.
But I have no problem with people liking Aemond and Aegon II for what they are ; which is again villains.
My problem is those who try to turn them into gray characters, or worse justify them, things that happen far too often among stans / fans of these characters what are Aegon II and Aemond.
Because yes, there are fans who actually justify the violence and bad actions of these characters by finding tons of excuses supposed to make them complex for their fans while the original text does not do so. They indeed exist (even though not everyone is like that and I never said they were all like that).
I've already talked about it a thousand times. But you, their fans, seemed incapable of getting these simple facts into your skulls.
Plus it's cheeky to accuse me of "yes, I think these characters are hot, so I'll turn a blind eye to what they do." when all my posts about the Darkling and Kylo are analyzes due to their complexity / actions, and it doesn't even seem to me that I've already addressed their physical. While once again, there is a great sexualization of the characters of Aegon II and Aemond by certains of their fans.
Seriously, how many posts have I seen saying that "Oh my god, they couldn't resist Aegon II because he's so hot !!!" and we're still talking here about a disgusting alcoholic rapist (and pedophile on top of that according to Fire and Blood) who likes to watch children fight in an arena... while then saying first degree next to what they think that "Aegon II needs hugs to better manage his emotions, and that the rape of Dyana is not really a rape because after all we did not see her with our eyes, if that turns out there was not of penetration !" The complete wtf of that...
So don't come and give me this type of speech, with the number of individuals like I have just described who exist in the community of fans of these two characters that are Aegon II and Aemond.
Afterwards, I am not saying, there are surely people who do not understand the characters of the Darkling and Kylo Ren / Ben Solo, seeing them as pure villains and therefore only see their romantic relationships with Alina and Rey as negative, but who, following the fact of finding the actors / characters attractive, one says"yes, I think these characters are hot, so I'll turn a blind eye to what they do." After all, many do it for the Greens, surely others do it for the Darkling and Kylo Ren / Ben Solo, due to a poor understanding of these last two characters. So obviously what you describe probably exists.
But that's not what I do.
Sorry. I don't ignore the horrible actions of the villains I love, or the gray characters I love. I just don't receive them / don't treat them / don't see them in the same way, because their actions as villains and gray characters don't have the same scope. It's just a fact.
Also, I imagine that what you hear complex about Aegon II from Fire and Blood is that he"didn't want the throne in the first place, because he only did it to protect his family, because he been forced" ?
Bullshit reported by Eustace, a pro greens, who obviously will manage to embellish the people he propagandizes, what surprising !
Especially since this stupid speech from Aegon II never wanted the throne... is quickly revealed be bullshit when we see how much he enjoyed sitting there, ready to reign alone and refusing to be controlled by Otto, all while refusing to abdicate in favor of Rhaenyra, who had nevertheless proposed that his brothers and sisters would be safe, and that he insults her of whore in the process for free, it seems to me. Which... oh yes seems so much like the mark of a deep and complex character / person who don't want be king !
And then it's still really cheeky to tell myself that I like "sick shit with violence against women", when you literally like / found deep interesting, complex and complicated, you know... RAPISTS ?! (But who mostly deny being rapists in the Aemond and Aegon II fans / stans community OF COURSE !) Probably the worst form of violence against women ?! Hospital ? charity ? in your speech ?
Although it's again not really a problem that you love them, as long as the problematic aspect is recognized by you fan. (Even if, objectively, I find that there is nothing interesting about Aegon II as a villain, both as a person and in his character construction and his role, but anyone is free to think otherwise)
As I said, I like Aemond, who is a rapist, as a villain for his narrative role, which I find interesting to analyze. But I also like Kilgrave, another rapist, because I find him interesting, in his way of acting in relation to his power, and the way he can be obsessed with something. We are clearly dealing with a particular psychiatric case. Without forgetting the charisma of the actor and the terrifying aura that he manages to exude from the character. Moreover, these two characters have the particularity of dying because of the women who were the victims of their mistreatment, and that is very very enjoyable.
Or the Dracula of 1992, who also rapes Lucy, Mina's best friend, but who remains presented by the story as a figure similar to Lucifer having fallen and who in his love for Mina allows him to find redemption in death when 'she kills him at his request, all without that stopping him from being the villain of the story in the movie.
But is it because I love these villains that I support their evil actions ? Absolutely no. Of course not. They are monsters / villains that I enjoy watching (while hating them for their disgusting actions) at work generally against the protagonists, but I like even more the moment where they are destroyed. It's exactly the same as the Disney villains of our childhood. We love them for different reasons, but we recognize who they are, that what they do is bad, with no real explanation for the most part, and we mostly love seeing them be defeated in the end.
Besides, it's not because I like gray and complex characters that I'm going to defend / justify / agree with their dark actions either, under the pretext that they have a part of light. On the other hand, we can explain their actions, reflect on their complexity. These characters may have good reasons for doing what they actually do, perhaps originally noble causes, like the Darkling, with wanting the protection of Grisha from normal people and the countries Fjerda and Shu Han, because of centuries of mistreatment and discrimination ? Or the fact that they've been groomed since they were fetuses in their mother's womb, manipulated through unbearable voices in their heads to influence them to do bad things, like Kylo Ren / Ben Solo ?
Or those being described as being made of equal parts light and darkness, but who will only direct their dark side against the people they hates / are they enemies and who... let's be realistic, mostly look very little or not sympathetic in our eyes as readers, even if the actions against these ennemies themselves are not very synonymous of kindness on the part of these gray characters either, like Daemon Targaryen in Fire and Blood.
One thing his introduction in Fire and Blood proves :
Tumblr media
And that GRRM himself confirms through his words :
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It's not as if the author says something about the character and the text doesn't follow. On the contrary, the text of Fire and Blood completely validates the author's words about Daemon.
But hey, if Green stans prefer say that Daemon is a pure villain and monster and therefore to appear illiterate in order to justify liking / preferring Aegon II, that's their problem. People who know how to read and analyze will know what it's all about.
Anyway, all these characters are only gray and complex who in their respective stories have people worse than them, the real villains, whom they generally face with the protagonist.
No, the true problem here for you, is not that you like the villains Aegon II and Aemond, but is that you bother to send me an anonymous message implying the defense of the honor of these horrible villains fictional character by comparing to other characters (who are gray characters, not villains) who have nothing in common, in order to make you appear more morally just under the pretext that you will put them all on an equal footing, even if they are once again not written the same at all...
But again, the difference between these characters is simple. Like I said :
Darkling and Kylo Ren / Ben Solo = Canonical gray and complex characters. (Oh and Kylo Ren / Ben Solo is a real victim of grooming)
Aegon II and Aemond = Canonical villains (besides being rapists).
So there is no comparison to be made between these characters, or even that any equality of treatment is applied between them. Period.
And what the hell do you care if I imagine a scenario where an adult Ciel gets fucked by Sebastian after they surprisingly fall in love ?
It's literally an imaginary scenario of a purely fanon ship, therefore which has nothing canon, which in fact does not really fit into the framework of pedophilia, since I imagine an adult Ciel in this scenario, like I already said it to an anti in another post !
It's just as stupid to say that Sareth and Sessrin are pedophile ships, because the characters knew the young lady when she was a child, when literally nothing happens or is even suggested in this sense when they are children, while one is a story about the sexual awakening of an adolescent girl through her fantasies and the other, nothing happens until she is an adult (i.e. the guy develops feelings for the girl), for the norms of the society in which she lives !
I repeat, canonically, Sebaciel does not exist.
Sebastian does not have pedophilic sexual urges for Ciel, and Ciel does not fall under Sebastian's manipulation to do things with him. This scenario simply does not exist (nor do I imagine this kind of scenario when I personnaly imagine scenarios for this ship).
Canonically, it is simply a complex and deep relationship between a human and a demon, which therefore exceeds human norms, due to their pact which binds them.
But there is certainly a homoerotic subtext by the author, which can be fun (or not, it depends on how people feel) to see and understand. It's a particulary choice to make, but that doesn't mean that the author supports a real pedophilia and sexual relationship between a child and an adult since anyway... well that never happens in his work canonically speaking. Demons are often linked to lust / perverse things, and are anyway... inhuman. So obviously they will not have normal / moral thoughts or actions. But once again, in reality, there is nothing happening between the characters canonically, and for my part, I not imagine any pedophile or ephebophile scenario.
Love scenarios are common between human and demon, it's one of the many known tropes that many people love. Much like being an immortal falling in love with someone he actually knew as a child (and this without entering into the domain of pedophilia or grooming as many antis people like to automatically and stupidly think).
It's nothing new.
But if you automatically think that this kind of twisted pedophile scenario come in my head when I think to Sebaciel, well... maybe you're the real problem.
To conclude... I would say that there are two possibilities for the person you are.
Either you see Aemond and Aegon II as pure villains but don't know the difference between villains and gray characters, or simply refuse to see it so as not to feel guilty for liking villains (or other obscure reasons), which is... ridiculous because we should not be ashamed of loving villains. Since the dawn of time we have loved them when they are well written.
Or, you refuse to see Aemond and Aegon II as the villains they are and try to put them on the same level as any type of grayer character who would do negative actions to make them also appear as complex characters, or you try to insinuate that these other characters are actually maybe worse than the characters you prefer and love, trying to forget the fact that you like real bad guys (which again, is not something something that someone should shame or hide).
These two possibilities can be linked to the fact that you wish in all cases to appear morally acceptable.
One because you will put all the characters on the same level under the pretext that they have all done morally questionable actions, although these characters in fact have drastic differences and are not treated the same way in their respective stories. All to give you the impression of being morally good, because you will not try to differentiate any of the bad actions committed by these characters, when once again you have to make the difference. Because we cannot put a villain and an anti-hero / gray character on the same level. Thus avoiding you taking the risk of really defending or showing your love and preference for a character who has done bad actions in particular to a certain audience. You appreciate and enjoy watching these characters, but still make no difference between these famous characters who have committed bad actions and you put them all on the same level of atrocity. You don't differentiate between them, just saying that they are all bad and therefore on the same level. What could be more morally correct than that on the surface ?
And the other, because you're trying to pretend that you're the person supporting the gray characters in the story against the real bad guys (even though it's actually the complete opposite that the story is telling). And isn't it also a way of appearing morally superior to pretend that you don't like the villains of the story, but gray characters with a real share of light ?
Or that you try to pretend that the characters you like, the villains, are in fact misunderstood gray characters, in the same way that their adversaries in the story are the real gray characters, therefore trying to make people believe that they is no real villain in the story you are consuming, bringing us back to the concept of putting everyone on the same level, but in a less drastic way than saying that everyone is bad.
That, or you're simply a person who doesn't know how to properly analyze the media you consume.
And whatever the truth, I have to say that none of them seem very positive.
Anyway, once again, I actually have no problem liking villains, without trying to justify them so I can feel entitled to like them.
Again, I particularly like Alicent and Kilgrave, villains who are not gray characters.
But I also have no shame in recognizing gray characters and not putting / treating them on the same level as villains, especially such as the Greens. Quite simply because it is the logical order of things when we analyze these types of characters.
The Darkling and Kylo Ren / Ben Solo have nothing to do with Aemond and Aegon II. And that's a simple truth that must bother you a lot for you to take the trouble to send me an anonymous message.
I'm not stopping anyone from liking the characters of Aemond and Aegon II from finding them interesting villains, because most people like villains that are well written, and GRRM wrote the Greens well. I've always said that. I just don't like those who try to make it seem like these are gray and complex characters (or complicated, as you like to say, because what the hell is complicated about the Greens ? I'm not saying that complicated and complex villains don't exist, on the contrary, there are, but we can't really say that the Greens objectively belong to this type of villain, whether Alicent loved her children, and whether Aegon II tried to build statutes for his brothers or not. Because yes, caricature villains still capable of love, that exists. And however that doesn't make them gray, complex and complicated. Just watch the movie “The Frighteners” and many other fictional programs to understand that). Because they simply aren't. This is the reality of their writing by GRRM.
Best wishes.

Yes, I ship Reylo: Rey & Ben Solo. No, I do not currently, have not in the past, nor will I at any time in the future ship Kylo Ren and Rey. Kylo Ren and Ben Solo may have inhabited the same body, but I really do view them as two different individuals. To me it seems that Ben was possessed by Kylo, and he fought hard for years before Kylo took control and was still trying to fight even once Kylo was running the show. Am I wrong? I don't know, but these are fictional characters and this is my own personal opinion about them.
I write a fair amount of fanfic and up until recently my focus has been Adam & Olive from Love Hypothesis (which as we know is just Reylo). I'll probably be writing more Ben & Rey fics as well, but never a Kylo x Rey fic.
Tumblr media
Quick add to my original post...
Tumblr media
This is from the Rise of Skywalker novelization, and I think it makes it even more clear that she viewed Ben and Kylo as two different individuals.

Protective Scenarios!
A\N: Yesterday, I finished the Rise of Skywalker, so I decided to start writing for Kylo Ren (Ben Solo)! (Characters- Kylo Ren, Anakin Skywalker and Luke Skywalker.)
Kylo Ren: Even as just friends, Kylo has always been protective. Therefore, he made a bridge between your guys' minds in order to speak to you using the Force and sense you. It was constantly on his mind, the question of where you were and are you safe, it practically made him paranoid. Quite frankly, it hurt him to be away from you, sure, he could survive about a day or two, but that's with communicating with you using the Force. So, you can probably imagine what Kylo's reaction was upon hearing that you fought Rey and sustained some serious injuries: No doubt he lashed out, and killed the messenger and asked to have his ship prepared immediately. He used the Force to sense you and your location, and arrived as fast as he could.
Beaten, and although alive, just barely. Furious is an understatement to describe what in Kylo's body possessed him to feel a pure rage, a hatred to Rey from that point onwards. While he brought you back and took care of you personally, he blamed himself for your getting hurt in the first place. When he finally found and confronted Rey, his temper flared beyond imagination, he attacked recklessly. Rey seemed to instantly understand where this newfound strength and recklessness came from. He managed to strike her in her side and he left her to die, to come back to you.
Anakin Skywalker: Ani trusts you with his life, really and he trusts you. However, Anakin can never help but be protective of you, because he loves you, really. It's sort of like a go-to thing for him, but he's always respectable, asking things like, "Do you need help with them?" or "Hey, I could step in, if you want?" But, after he lost his mother and slaughtered the entire species of her torturer's, that's when it really spiked.
Especially upon seeing you struggle with a guy or someone and sensing your uncomfortableness, it makes him instantly come up, and instead of being respectable like he used to, he would resort to both insults and threats and violence.
Luke Skywalker: Luke has a mild protective vibe, I think. I think he's more the type to let you deal with it yourself and if you need any help because of the constant trouble of being annoyed, spoken to or even hit on, he's up for it. (Sorta like his dad.) It always tends to be when you accompany him, a Jedi in-training but not necessarily a Padawan (Considering how Obi and Yoda taught him.) Some random person just can't stop eyeing you, and when they come up to you, making small talk, calling you "cutie" and whatnot...
You tell the person to back off, go away, all of it, and once they seem too determined, that's when Luke feels your mood change, and he's on it. He's not very violent, using a tone of firmness to get the person to leave. If that does not work, he'll just take you away.

I do like that The Acolyte established that, in the Star Wars universe, evil Dark Siders can possess the Jedi and force them to attack people. I know Force Healing makes the plot of Revenge of the Sith a total hash, but imagine this.
You're Ben Solo. You're sleeping. You wake up. Luke Skywalker is standing over you. He's got his lightsaber out. He's about to attack you. You Force push him away, knocking him unconscious. Time to go to the Dark Side and massacre everyone in the Jedi Temple--
Wait a minute. What if he was possessed by a Dark Sider? That makes a lot more sense, doesn't it? Luke Skywalker, hero of the Rebellion, wouldn't try to murder his nephew in his sleep for no reason! He must be possessed!
You tie him up, you go get Ahsoka Tano or Cal Kestis or whoever else is on the faculty and tell them all about how Master Skywalker is possessed and tried to kill you and you need help right now.
Cut to half an hour later. Luke wakes up. He's tied up. He's surrounded by other Jedi. They're all ready to exorcise him or however that works.
Do you think he tells everyone "uh, yeah, it was Darth Madballs or someone, but he's gone now, let's keep an eye out for him"?
Or does he tell everyone yeah, I did try to kill Ben, but it was just a spur of the moment thing, won't happen again?
And then Ben freaks out and massacres everyone in the Temple!
Picture it. It's hilarious. Someone probably put a blankie around him, got him a cup of hot cocoa, he's put on his slippers so he doesn't step on anything while he's walking around, maybe one of the girl Padawans is holding his hand... "What? You weren't possessed? AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
That had to be how it went down, right?

Chapter Summary
Rey, Poe, and Chewbacca face off against the Knights of Ren; Kylo reveals to Rey what he's discovered about their Force Bond...
Excerpt
Just across the way, the Knights of Ren stood, a wall of black armor, hate, and aggression staring her down. Even at the distance, she could feel the malevolence come off them in waves, a corruption so deep it felt like rot. Automatically, Rey reached for her saberstaff, hidden behind the folds of her sari. The outfit was impractical for this, but she’d make do. It dawned on her that this was why Jedi didn’t wear pretty things. She was going to end this, right here, right now. There was no way she was going to let herself be stalked across the galaxy by Kylo and his band of thugs. “Whoa, whoa, whoa, what do you think you’re doing?” said Poe, stilling her hand before she had a chance to ignite the saberstaff. He took a pointed look around the crowded marketplace, children and other civilians all milling around in the line of fire. “Not here.” Too much collateral damage. Too many deaths. He was right. But that didn’t mean she had to be happy about it. An anger rose unbidden, an anger born of pure frustration. Just once, Rey wanted to do things on her own terms, consequences be damned. Just once, she wanted to finish things. But this wasn’t the way. It was never the way. She had to buy them some time, so she did the only thing she could think of. Kneeling and pressing her fist to the ground, she lashed out in the Force, a concussive blast that pushed back everything within range, sending tents and people including Poe and the Knights of Ren alike sprawling back in a rather impressive radius. Rey didn’t wait around to see if the Knights had been stopped, jumping off the small retaining wall and onto one of the razorsails below. Poe swam over to her in brisk, easy strokes as she unhooked the boat. “A little warning would have been nice!” he shouted as he climbed up the boat's ladder. “Get on!” Rey extended a hand, hauling him the rest of the way onto the deck with a smooth motion. “Do you even know how to sail?” demanded Poe, his clothes dripping steadily onto the deck, his dark curls clinging to his furrowed forehead. By way of answer, she summoned the Force, a phantom wind that filled the sail and sent them flying across the water at speeds that shouldn’t have been possible. "Heh," chuckled Poe, and he crossed the deck to do something with the sails that gave them an extra burst of speed. A blast then rocked the boat, water exploding all around them. They looked up as one, finding the jagged ship of the Knights of Ren hot on their tail— without the Knights of Ren inside. Kylo Ren was inside. It hovered mere meters above the water, the exhaust leaving a massive wake behind it as it continued to gain on them with each passing second. “Get to the bow cannon!” shouted Poe over the whine of the engines. “I’ll take the helm.” Rey did as he requested, leaving the driving to Poe as she quickly took aim with the weapon. Through the transparisteel viewport of the Knife Nine's cockpit she sensed Kylo at the helm. She could feel his rage, his frustration, his single-minded purpose of the chase, just like when he chased her in the Korilev debris field. She could also feel his conflict. He wasn't sure what to do with her if he were to catch her. His thoughts were an overwhelming, confused cacophony of violence, pain, and even sexual urges. There was small part of him that she recognized as Ben Solo, but that side of him was lost in the noise of Kylo’s conflicted mind. What Rey sensed for certain was an overwhelming desire— no, need— for her possession. She had to be his and his alone. Rey didn't belong to anyone. And she wouldn't give him the chance to make up his mind...

Reunions
1.
Once all was said and done, each of them back aboard the Millennium Falcon as it accelerated away from the Death Star, Obi-wan finally dared to let himself take a deep breath, and let it back out in a shaky gasp.
And then Leia practically tackled him.
“Ben,” she whispered, nothing but pure desperation in her voice. He carefully hugged her in return, one hand rubbing up and down the girl’s back, her emotions forming a minor maelstrom in the Force. “Ben-!”
“I know,” Obi-wan murmured. “I know. I felt it, when Aldreaan- went.”
That single word did it. All of Leia’s fury went pouring away, overwhelmed by sheer grief instead. Her people, aboard the captured ship- her people, trapped upon their homeworld-
Her people, serving in the Rebellion, who would surely be the next to fall.
To her immense credit, Leia summoned the strength to pull herself back together only a short time later. Each emotion carefully settled back into place; her scattered thoughts aligned once more. “Ben- or- General Kenobi, I suppose.”
Obi-wan couldn’t help a small smile, one hand still remaining on her shoulder. “For you, my dear, Ben. Always.”
2.
They’d only barely disembarked when a voice called to him; more than that, a flare in the Force, seeking his attention, caused Obi-wan to turn. “Master Kenobi,” the man approaching him said again, sounding at once relieved and amazed. “I don’t suppose- you remember me?”
By appearance alone, certainly not. But beyond the man’s facemask and brown hair, past the clothes and scars and weapons, Obi-wan felt a distantly familiar flicker.
“Caleb Dume,” he murmured, a little amazed himself. The younger Jedi grinned, reaching, and they grasped one another easily. Obi-wan tried to figure out what else to say, where to even begin, when another flicker caught his attention. Little fingers were reaching up behind Dume’s shoulder, attempting to grasp at the long drape of his tied-back hair. “And who might this ambitious soul be?”
“Jacen. This is Jacen.” With a careful maneuver, Dume brought around the sling which had been situated against his back, revealing the very small youngling nestled within - barely half a year old, if Obi-wan guessed right. “He’s my son; mine and Hera Syndulla.”
“Cham’s daughter?” That certainly came as a surprise. Although, despite his human face and size, the boy did possess unusually dark green hair, and very slightly pointed ears with paler green skin at the tips.
“Yes sir. She remembers you and Master Windu fondly.” Jacen reached upward again, this time aiming for his father’s beard, which Dume allowed with patient fondness. “I realize things are about to get very chaotic, but would you like to meet her again? And the rest of our crew?”
“I would like that very much indeed.”
3.
Luke proved to be his father’s son, and a perfectly aimed shot destroyed the monstrous space station threatening to blast them all into oblivion.
Even better, Captain Solo pulled off a change of heart, and somehow managed to land a shot of his own upon Vader’s personal fighter, knocking the Sith Lord out of the fight and sending him spiraling into the void of space. It wasn’t enough to kill him, Obi-wan knew that good and well, but the burst of outrage stood out sharply during the battle, and thinking of it afterward managed to put a small, wry smile on his face.
“General.”
And then all traces of amusement vanished, when someone sought him out in his quiet corridor, removed from the loud celebrations occupying most of the rebel base.
“...I can’t say I dislike the beard,” Obi-wan said after a moment, running a thumb against his own facial hair, “But the lack of any blonde whatsoever is highly disconcerting, Captain.”
Rex snorted, and took the final few steps to come within arm’s reach of him. “You’re one to talk, sir.”
“Well, I have spent the past nineteen years trying to keep one Skywalker or the other out of trouble.” They each shared a brief grin, before turning somber once more. “It is good to see you, Rex.”
“And you as well, General. But you’ll forgive me if I skip the hug- Ahsoka ought to squeeze you tight enough for the both of us, once she gets here.”
Just like that, Obi-wan’s spirit lifted an entire order of magnitude.

“That’s abusive”
“That’s manipulation”
I’m gonna explain why it’s not in this context:
Now, is this how you should address your love interest irl? Definitely not. Is Ben Solo truly back to the light at this point? No. Is Kylo’s mindset still twisted? Yes. However, some don’t seem to understand what Kylo/Ben meant.
“You’re nothing.” Kylo/Ben didn’t mean Rey was actually nothing. Hell, he legit tells her she’s anything but that. “Nothing” , in his terms, means she’s seen as worthless by the people who are supposed to love her.(I know Rey’s parents are actually good people, I’ll get into that) means that they saw her as someone- something, honestly, to get rid of.
This is what Ben thought Leia and Han saw in him; that he was worthless and they needed Luke to off him. That nobody loved him. At least, that’s what he felt before he met Rey. He knows Rey grew up thinking no one loved her, and thought that she possessed nothing of value.
At this point, Ben hasn’t fully come back. He still feels like he was a victim to the light (when he was actually a victim to the dark) and he’s telling Rey “those people”- her parents, his parents, Luke, etc consider her nothing. “Real abusers brainwash victims into turning on their friends and family Kylo/Ben doesn’t consider the resistance Rey’s friends. He thinks they’re just going to use and discard her the way he thought he was. He thinks he’s looking out for her. Real abusers typically know their victims loved ones care but wanna get rid of them so they can have said person all to themselves.
(And before you come at me like “actually a lot of abusers don’t get what they’re doing but it’s not an excuse” yea I got that, doesn’t apply here)
“But not to me”- This is Ben telling Rey that their view on her is wrong. That she’s not nothing. That’s she is, in fact, everything. To him especially. He’s not just saying this so she can be on the dark side, that’s not his main concern here even if he still is on the dark side. His main concern is what’s best for Rey, and he believes joining himself is what’s best for her.
His mind set isn’t “I’m gonna isolate her from her friends so I turn her evil and use her for my growth” it’s actually “Those people tried to kill me and use me for my power and they’ll do the same to her so I’m gonna protect her while I still can” he thinks he’s helping her. It’s pretty fucked, but he’s not trying to manipulate her.
“He lied about her parents” no he didn’t. Was Kylo/Ben wrong about Rey’s parents? Yes. But what you people fail to remember is YOU REALLY SHOULD NOT USE THE FORCE AS A FORTUNE TELLER. The future/ past visions are often vague and altered. He only saw parts of what happened. He had no clue that her parents were actually protecting her from evil, he saw them leaving and going to shady ass places and thought they were actually trading her for alcohol. That’s why when he found out the truth he told her!!! If he was manipulating her so he could have her all to himself, he would’ve never told her the truth. Notice how when she left at the end of TLJ he let her and didn’t form a plan to force her back or hurt her. He aggressively tried to persuade her, yes, but he never seriously threatened her. He even snitches on the dark side for Rey and offered to kill Palpatine instead of killing her to complete his mission.
So, bottom line- When Kylo/Ben called Rey nothing, he wasn’t saying she was actually worthless. He was saying that’s what her parents and the people who felt turned on him saw her as, but he considered her to be everything and the most important thing to him. You don’t have to like Reylo or agree with me, but I could go on about how Rey and Kylo/Ben don’t exactly fit the “toxic relationship” boat.

Safe and Sound
A/N: A small Reylo piece I wrote long ago and wanted to share here.
Summary: Ben is getting nightmares every night about Rey dying in front of him. Is up for his life companion and wife to comfort him and aleviate his pain and fear.
I do not own Star Wars nor its characters.
You thought you could save her?
Foolish child, I expected better from you! And now you will see what happens to those who disobey me.
Ben Solo whimpered slightly as he thrashed in bed, this was the third night in a row that he kept having these nightmares. His Rey, his life companion, his wife, the love of all his life.
Watch her die before you as punishment!
"N-no, Rey..." He whimpered again and tried his dammest to wake up from his nightmare, he can't move, he felt his breath caught in his lungs. He can't move and won't be able to save Rey!
With a movement of his finger, Supreme Leader Snoke snapped Rey's neck with the Force in front of his apprentice.
Now turn your dispair into anger, ignite it. You just lose her!
Ben jerked away and coughed, sitting up in bed. "REY!" His breathed is caught in his throat as he whimpers and hyperventilates, Rey... she just died again, he lost the woman that he loved.
"Ben, hey, Ben!" Rey now has her hands on her husband's shoulders. "Ben, you're okay, you're okay, it's only a nightmare." Her concerned and soothing voice was what brought Ben back to reality and he looked at his wife, there was fear in his eyes, like a fear that he had not felt ever since a long time ago. His brown eyes locked into her hazel eyes, and almost automatically he drew the woman into his arms.
"Rey..." He whispered, holding Rey in almost possessive way as if he was scared that she would disappear the next second he let her go from his tight embrace. "...Don't leave me... I... I wouldn't take it, I can't live without you..." His voice cracked a little, and he felt something wet roll down his cheeks. Tears. He had started crying. "P-Please..." He sobbed softly.
"Ben..." Rey understood now. His nightmare was about her again, just like the past few days where he would wake up in the morning and look so scared and shattered. Her arms wrapped around his back and she held him closer. "I'm right here with you, I'll never leave you. My home is here with you." Her hands cupped his damp cheeks and her hazel eyes looked into his teary brown eyes.
"How... how can I be sure? I'm scared Rey..." Ben was never one to show his emotions openly, he'd learned long ago not to be driven by emotion, currently though, he was quite scared, so hurt and uncertain of what would happen next. "If I lose you... I..."
"Shh," Rey cut him off by holding him closer to him, putting his head in her chest, close to where her heart was, it was beating calmly and gently. Her beating heart was right there, she was alive. Alive and here with him, it was going to be alright, it had to. Rey had to be alright. "It's alright, everything will be alright, Ben. I'm right here, you will not lose me." She whispered into his ear, her hands both caressing his dark hair and his back as he comforted him. "Snoke is dead, you killed him, Ben. He cannot hurt us anymore." She spoke with sincerity. "You're alright, I'm right, my love." She continued with her soothing actions. Ben leaned in her touch.
"Rey, I love you so much. I love no other woman aside you, I must protect you." Even with his teary, broken voice, Ben vowed himself to protect his wife to the best of his ability. It had to be this way, he couldn't bare to lose the love of his entire life. They had come this far to be separated by destiny. Screw destiny or fate, Ben was not going to lose his beloved Rey.
Rey smiled, knowing this was the protective and loving Ben that she loved and adored. "I know you will, Ben."
Ben looked up into her hazel eyes after a while of being nested in her arms and having his face into her chest. "I promise you."
With that he leant in, letting his lips meet with Rey's. They both held each other close as they shared one passionated kiss.
Ben now knew that no matter how scary and painful his nightmares were, they were just nightmares and not a real thing. He would not lose Rey, not now and never.
Without a doubt, he would have Rey until death did them apart, even in the afterlife they would be together and nothing was changing that.
