Ch201 (p3), Ginny's return
Staff carry out their constant duties while Finny and the top students sneak through the building and around outside. They lead him to the stable.
Tumblr media
On perfect timing, the guy who drove Ginny away earlier comes back. Finny sees something that shocks him and gives him what I'd call a cold sweat.
Tumblr media
Ginny could just be drugged, like the maids at Heathfield Manor, but either way her face is covered, and it seems here like the "fledging garment" is being used now as a shroud.
Tumblr media
Of course, Finny has to start saying something and be hushed before they are discovered.
Tumblr media
Before now, I had no idea what Theo meant by saying the "fledged" children hadn't fledged or truly left. But here is Ginny... or whatever is left of her.
Since Doll was last seen in the stable, too, I was first thinking that she goes there when she has an episode of needing a blood transfusion. Then perhaps there is somewhere in there where the children are used for the blood transfusions. That would suggest the children are alive and just drugged.
However, the other star lords wouldn't go there for transfusions, and apparently all the "fledged" children return to the orphanage like this, regardless of their class. So things aren't looking too good for poor Ginny. I really don't know if she's alive or dead. It's entirely possible the children are bled out elsewhere, and then their corpses are taken to some burial site under the stable.

I just explained this to someone and I thought I'd make a post for it on here too.
Shrouds in Percy Jackson are like this right?
Tumblr media
But their siblings decorate and make them out of silks with decorative embellishments on them?
The empty ones are burned after a quest to symbolise that the person they were made for came back from a quest ALIVE.
The lack of cemetery at chb shows that when they burn Silena, Charlie, Luke, Lee, Castor, everyone's shrouds, they have their bodies in them. They're being cremated.

@transparent-internet-maker I feel bad about going back and forth on op’s post, especially since I can’t comment in the notes, so I’m just gonna make a new one. It’s come to my attention that idek if we’re discussing the same source material, so just to put it out there: I am discussing resentful energy as presented in the novel.
With that said: Wei Wuxian couldn’t have survived 3 months without food while heavily injured, but the Burial Mounds is never described as a land where no life can live. In fact, we at least know it’s wooded area. He very likely scavenged whatever edible (or at least non-fatal) plants he could find and hunted whatever meager animals may have wandered in. What he most definitely could not do, however, is survive off of resentful energy. In the novel, it is not conscious. It is not sentient. It’s not “deciding” to preserve him, and it’s not making any sort of contract with him like this is jjk, whether Wei Wuxian knows it or not. The overwhelming presence of resentment in the Burial Mounds would only have the power to make him feel terrible, and Wei Wuxian’s survival can be solely attributed to his life’s goal of living and living well without holding on to resentment, thus preventing the resentful energy from breaking him as it had likely done to others before him who may have initially survived their entrance into the cursed place. Resentful energy does not in any way, shape, or form benefit living beings when residing in them. That’s both the moral of the story and the physical mechanics of the world.

I love the Hualian adopting wwx as much as the next mentally ill gay but I also do think it would change his entire attitude towards certain things

This is probably my favourite part from "Antigone" by Jean Anouilh and it makes me think of Maglor and Maedhros. The familial love, the devotion, the loyalty....it makes me emotional.

My goodness there is a lot of bullshit in the Jiang Cheng tag again.
#y'all really spend too much time thinking about a character you dislike#i on the other hand have severe jiang cheng brainrot and love thinking about him and reading scenes of the novel to back me up#so just to get it out#jiang cheng has at no point treated wei wuxian as a servant#he also did not abandon him right up until the moment wei wuxian killed jin zixuan and i think jc would've probably gotten over that#if it hadn't led directly to Jiang Yanli's death#again wei wuxian's defection was a fake ploy they made up to keep yunmeng jiang safe it is right there in the book#jiang cheng did in fact publicly acknowledge the debt he and wei wuxian owed to wen ning and wen qing (at least the amount he was aware of)#but was steamrolled over by the other sect leaders especially Nie Mingjue#talking about the wen remnants they were not just old people and kids like in the drama but actually cultivators#and it is very possible that they were part of the invading force of Lotus Pier because Wen Ning was there with some cultivators under him#and even though I still think it was wrong of jiang cheng to lead the siege of the burial mound why is anyone pretending that it was about#murdering the wen remnants for him and not getting to wei wuxian#and this isn't to say that Jiang Cheng is completely misunderstood and all good#he is still a deeply unpleasant person with a mountain of trauma#he isn't as bad or selfish as some of you make him out to be#just like wei wuxian isn't as good and pure as some of you like to pretend#all of the mdzs characters are at least a little awful with the notable exception of the kids and maybe Xiao Xingchen#thank you for coming to my ted talk

general hcs for aftg zombie apocalypse? me i think kevin would try to be leader but unfortunately no one would listen to him/take him seriously :(
now i think if we’re talking like a few years into the apocalypse then it gets interesting like how the characters would change physically like….and what weapons would they use!! they’d def run into people who use exy rackets as weapons and kevin would be disgusted with them i think.
i LOVE apocalypse aus but none center kevin or write him right i wanna know what you’d think he’d be like in one
SUCH A FUN ASK THANK YOUUUUUUU! first of all your idea for kevin is so funny i have to concede. its true no one would care for him at all even if he tries.... honestly though (thinking hard) i think what kevin lacks in leader charisma he makes up for in the department of giving the rest of the group a Reason To Live and creating schedule and purpose where there is neither, so maybe he ummm...... well he's not gonna be the leader of the pack but he can be like the mascot. the shiny thing to cling to. you know what i mean. kevin's indomitable human spirit!
not to be guy who is kandreil pilled but i do think kevin would be very important for andrew and neil to live beyond the survival! i will put a dollar in the kevin day bird motif jar for this but in a way hed be like their little canary in a coal mine... while the crew travels i think kevin would be the one to point out the scenery or the bits of history along or to go over peoples houses and find pieces of life that are useful and maybe even endearing. and yeah hed hate the racquets as weapons! the complaining and the grumbling about it is not as annoying as andreil thought it would be (they are pleasantly surprised kevin still has it in him to care about anything)
AHHH sorry u asked for fun hcs and i gave you a long poem about kevin day being everyones special little boy lets see hmmm... of course andrew has the knives but i think he would eventually pick up something more violent as the world falls deeper in despair. a mallet perhaps? a hammer? something heavy! neil would i think do well with a gun and not actual hand to hand combat, sniping behind them....... i think kevin would also have a weapon of sorts something like a switchblade or a baseball bat. non-lethal but definitely harmful

Actually, the more I think about it, if Netflix’s Bioshock doesn’t cast a Korean American actor as Suchong (I’m placing my bet on Daniel Dae Kim, but this fancasting post has John Cho and I can see him working well the more I think about it, because I know John Cho has that potential range in him), they’re very likely cast a South Korean actor for Suchong instead.
If that’s the case, I’m betting on Lee Byung-Hun. He’s a big name actor in South Korea that American/Western audiences would likely know due to the Magnificent Seven Remake and Squid Game (the big two I can associate the actor with; the latter more so given it’s a Netflix original and I’m betting that’s how American/Western audience would know him from).
Given the actor’s big name, I’m also betting Netflix’s Bioshock would at least show Suchong in flashbacks with the occasional voice over via audio diaries (if they keep that in the adaptation).
Of course, this depends if Netflix’s Bioshock does adapt Suchong’s character. they may very well cut him out (for the better or for worse).

#this whole mini series takes place between episode 2 and 3 btw#racules likely just doesn't want to keep arguing about who's the spy bc he probably knows it's not the researcher though i don't necessaril#think that he genuinely thinks boshimaru is the spy at this moment like he knows it could be possible but doesn't see it as definite#he kept his promise of a proper burial had they just discarded her carelessly they would not have found the crown#the other researcher also puts trust in racules' promise to take care of his burial once he's executed and i think it shows how racules#is respected by his staff and there's and understanding between them#i'd like to see how this has changed since so much has happened from episode 3 to 20#also wondering how the researching changes under gira bc i doubt he'd want to kill them for knowing too much#i don't think it was something racules even necessarily 'wanted' to do but saw that they could be a threat to his kingdom's security and wa#able to say he'd do it as he found it necessary#but then again we never actually saw him kill anyone and he makes a lot of threats he never goes through with#vedalia was taken over by a bugnarak and he took the bugnarak out and that just so happened to also end vedalia's life#it seems like racules has to believe that this was right for vedalia as she cared about shugoddam and her findings and would have preferred#death over being used by the buganark#i have a lot of feelings about this as you can see#king ohger lb#super sentai lb#king ohger spoilers#umbrella.thoughts#umbrella.posts

“Come on, Lottie. We’re all here.”
So by “we’re all here,” does Nat mean "all” as in “the six of us here currently,” or are we meant to conclude that by “all,” she means “all of us who survived?”
That these six are all the survivors, there is no one else left who we simply haven’t seen them reconnect with yet?

oh my god my mom is going to drive me fucking insane. her zionist ass is still trying to get into an argument with me about palestine even though she is fully aware im pro palestinian and hate israel. we are in the car and she points out a car and goes “oh my god look at that car with a straight up palestine flag” and i already know shes trying to start shit with me. i just respond “ok” and thats the end of that. not even gonna give her the satisfaction of getting into an argument with me, thats more than she deserves. we already had this discussion when you told me that i am a disgrace to her, my family, my ancestors who died in the holocaust, and everyone who died in the holocaust. you yelled at me for 30 minutes straight spewing bullshit. telling me i know nothing because she researched this for years and i am a stupid kid who cannot understand anything. where you told me until i am able to support myself and move out i have to listen to everything she says and believe what she believes. then has the audacity to tell me she never said any of that. this is the bullshit my friends, myself, and so many jewish children of zionists have to deal with. being called disgraces to our family. some being threatened with being kicked out. it wont fucking work. you can kick me out send me to gaza what fucking ever ill do anything in order to support all of the palestinian people. you may scare me but you cannot scare the palestinian support out of me when i have seen images and videos of the horrors they have gone through in the last 100+ days when you refuse to read a single article or look at any footage because its “””too triggering””” for you. how do you fucking think the palestinians feel LIVING THROUGH this. you selfish excuse of a “human”. you lost all respect i had for you years ago and now you will never get it back. enjoy my tolerance of you while it lasts. the second i move out i doubt youll see me or hear from me again.

“To no man does the earth mean so much as to the soldier. When he presses himself down upon her long and powerfully, when he buries his face and his limbs deep in her from the fear of death by shell-fire, then she is his only friend, his brother, his mother; he stifles his terror and his cries in her silence and her security; she shelters him and releases him for ten seconds to live, to run, ten seconds of life; receives him again and often forever.
Earth! – Earth! – Earth!
Earth with thy folds, and hollows, and holes, into which a man may fling himself and crouch down. In the spasm of terror, under the hailing of annihilation, in the bellowing death of the explosions, O Earth, thou grantest us the great resisting surge of new-won life. Our being, almost utterly carried away by the fury of the storm, streams back through our hands from thee, and we, thy redeemed ones, bury ourselves in thee, and through the long minutes in a mute agony of hope bite into thee with our lips!”
– All Quiet On the Western Front, Erich Maria Remarque

One of the best and worst things about making Untamed fmvs is taking the awful footage that’s available of fights and dramatic scenes and creating something tasteful out of it. I think my wife and I are really good at this, and I take a lot of pride in cutting together scenes in fresh ways. But, the Xuanwu fight has defeated me. It looks too stupid. Every single shot is bad. I can’t salvage it.
