hi hello so for any people curious bout the dream beef i am talking about im gon chronicle it all here in a hopefully fully contextual way for both longterm weirdos and new people who dont know bout my parasocial beef w dream. ill try to keep my biases out of it somewhat but anyways,

this began with a podcast Tommyinnit and Jack Manifold have together in which they had philza as a guest. Episode 9 is currently behind a paywall on their patreon but they have a youtube channel where they post them publically as well. Not sure if they make all their episodes public eventually or not but i digress.

Twitter user _constel_ has posted 5 clips from the podcast in question that contain their discussion about dream. I have downloaded the videos but tumblr doesnt want me to put them in this post so i will try and sum up each clip as I go.

Clip 1: Phil starts talking about how once the dsmp was done people would joke about how their 'contracts' would be over and they would be allowed to talk about things behind the scenes. philza mentions the infamous philza tweet in response to dream.

for context, the main discussion is around this exchange from around february 2021, where dream 'jokingly' argues that he is responsible to tommy's high viewership on youtube:

Most of it the tweets are deleted by both parties but it was very much a whole thing. Phil has apparently joked about revealing the context of his reply 'when he retires' (mentioned clip 1).

Jack Manifold had apparently been in a call with tommyinnit when the exchange was happening and recalls tommy being extremely stressed. The context philza gives is that he was texted by tommy to look at the thread while he was going on a walk and tommy was panicking over if dream was genuine (mentioned clip 2). Philza says "I'll find out if he's fucking joking' and that he essentially vibe checked dream. Tommy also states that after the twitter exchange he legitimately wrote in his diary to never be rude to dream: "never be horrible to dream. It's not worth it. It makes me too sad". Additionally jack manifold establishes that he hated dream from the beginning, they hate each other, and that, although he acknowledges dream aided him through the dream smp, he hates how dream 'takes ownership of other people and their accomplishments because he was a guiding hand' (mentioned clip 3).

Jack manifold mentions that tommy was 16 during this exchange and philza additionally says it was out of line (Clip 4). Philza more openly talks about there being 'reds flag after red flags' with dream in clip 5.

OKAY thats honestly a vague description and theres a LOT more so watch the clips if u want. Heres another tweet 'summarizing' it as well. But anyways this of course had people talking about dream again, some people (accidentally?) acting like this is about dream smp lore, and a lot of people concerned about how tommy was afraid to upset dream and would blame himself when dream picked fights with him.

Dream's response on dreamwastaken was to tweet about how he appreciated everyone who was on the server dispite differences, as well as a zip file to download the dsmp server/world file.

Worth noting there is a limitation on how many people can download the file within 24 hours so now people are only getting an error message when trying to access it which is fucking funny. On his private he also tweeted "love and appreciate you guys <3 very happy to be uploading again :) hope to keep it rolling" (Im not cropping out the reply its funny)

Thats all hes said so far, I havent seen tommy or jack manifold talking about it either. technically it isnt outright in response to their podcast but obviously everyone is taking it as such.

final stuff/my thoughts: dream has obviously had a tendency to kinda 'take credit' for 'making' the streamers who were on the dsmp and its notable that in his tweet he still acts like his server was the reason for people's fame and relationships. Saying 'a group of creators most of which would never have collaborated under any other circumstance got together and made something really cool' is just his thinly veiled way of still taking credit for tommy's fame and the relationships he and others have made and its moronic. Not to mention dsmp was very much NOT the server that got these specific people together, i mean techno and phil met through minecraft mondays, tommy and jack manifold met both of them through smp earth i believe. Even if the dsmp wasnt a thing they probably would have collaborated with other members through mcc eventually. the idea that the dsmp was what brought them together and a bunch of minecraft clowns would 'never have collaborated under any other circumstance' is stupid.

anyways sorry this is long as shit. im going to pray dream doesnt let this go for at least 3 to 5 business days as per usual

Aabria just works at dropout, she's not in charge of hiring or casts, even the director and producer has more control over the cast, Aabria doesnt even work at dropout, she's a guest game master, I don't think she has the power to decide casts, because again, she's a guest gm.

…that being said, when she starts (from her personal tumblr account that she uses to talk to fans) blocking trans people who are saying “hey, i noticed there aren’t many trans women in this work environment, and that’s troubling as a transfeminine fan, i hope it’s addressed in future” it does make me start to wonder how she feels about the whole thing.

and also, you know… she has a voice on this show that i — and every other trans woman on earth — don’t. she could say, tweet something, post something even something simple in reference to these concerns. and if she’s not allowed to, if she’s for some reason contractually obligated to not acknowledge stuff like this… then that’s fucked up and she deserves better!!!!

i want to reiterate that the criticism at hand absolutely goes for any & every show on Dropout. whilst i think people have a very fair point in being frustrated that there are no transfeminine players in MisMag specifically, there aren’t enough transfem people ANYWHERE at Dropout, on any Dimension 20 show, Game Changer, Make Some Noise, Dirty Laundry etc etc and to blame Aabria — a guest host — for the shortcomings of a bunch of likely cisgender white men making the casting decisions is obviously racist. anybody who is harassing her or smearing her, cut that shit out. It isn’t helping anybody, it’s making the environment worse for all minorities.

…But again, it would be nice if she didn’t block trans women politely asking to see more transfem talent at her place of work, regardless of her control over that. I think that sets a bad precedent for this discussion & for communication with the transfeminine fans.

hey yall. i hope youre doing ok.

so many of these, right? im sorry...

i know i have been silent on this platform, its because life hit another road bump and i just wasnt able to focus on more than one platform for a while due to the stress and pressure, so i took a hiatus on everywhere but twitter. i was focusing on twitter and suddenly out of nowhere got hit with an erroneous suspension (twitter's automated system thought i was a bot, so im trying to get this appealed so we will see, fingers crossed smh...)

but yeah, i havent forgotten my other platforms - i just needed a break and was barely able to focus on one for a time.

with this wild false suspension on twt, i realise i really do need to focus on keeping alive my other platforms simultaneously in case stuff like this happens. it was devastating to find out what happened to my twt in the morning because i have SO many very important contacts connections and clients on there from small to big names and industry professionals, im taking a huge blow to my financial survivability and my work as a creator and im not sure how to deal with this as it has been my main lifeline during this very unstable time in my life due to irl circumstances.

i apologise, i shouldve announced a hiatus on my other platforms but i didnt bc i didnt know it would go that way. please forgive me.

i will start returning to tumblr and instagram this week. all content will be updated. my one concern is my art deals with mature themes and twitter ngl has been the only place where such content has been allowed without me having to be too concerned with the TOS of the site. obviously thus is not true on IG and tumblr. i do have a bluesky, i plan to boost myself on there as best i can but it is still an infant social media site where theres just simply NOT enough people on there. if you guys want to also follow my bluesky, please do so here.

i am really really working hard on top of irl life to build a name for myself so i can approach doing big projects and things and actually have my silly art go somewhere. the recent events have been very detrimental to that. i think it is time i rebuild on here, IG, and bluesky, regardless if my twt main comes back or not. if it doesnt, i may have to make another twitter. hopefully it doesnt come to that, hopefully twt support, however shoddy, will pull through this time. but i will keep you guys updated.

Void State Challenge Pt. 1

Hi, everyone!

Thank you so much for your patience! The void state challenge is finally here!

I just wanted to start off with answering some frequently asked questions and describing how the void state works, so lets get into it!

What is the void state?

In short, it's a state of pure consciousness that enables you to experience you full potential. It's a state where you are completely unaware of your physical surroundings, but completely aware of your inner consciousness. You are able to manifest anything, and I mean anything, in the void. There is not a single limit, if you can think it , you can manifest it. So for those of you who ask "Can i manifest-" yes. "Can I go back to-" yes. "Can I change-" yes, yes and yes. ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE WHEN YOU ARE LIMITLESS. We are all limitless, especially in the void state.

If we're limitless, why do people struggle so much with the void?

Simple! The limiting beliefs we enable restrict us from doing the things we want. It's not the limiting belief specifically that's restricting you, it's yourself. You're giving power to this belief by letting it stop you, letting it create doubt. That doubt is what stops you, and that doubt is what you need to get rid of. Granted, you could still manifest and tap into the void state with those doubts and limiting beliefs, you just need stop giving it power. Just remember that you are the one in control.

How do I even tap into the void state?

There are many ways that you could. Countless methods are floating around on tumblr. I always suggest meditation, which is what all the methods are based on pretty much. They all have something in common with the way they distract your mind and give you time to let your body fall asleep. In my opinion, methods created by bloggers and shiftokers and stuff are kind of a waste of time. In my experience, it makes it harder for me to take my mind off of the amount of time its taking me to tap in, and it just doesnt really allow me to relax. However, that doesn't mean that you shouldn't try them because you never know what could work for you. I suggest finding what works for you and trying different things, but always incorporate some kind of meditation.

hmmmhmhm. i wouldnt even know where to start really. i think that almost all kinning is a form of dissociation (not in a disordered way but in the way "Spacing out" is also dissociation, it is a coping mechanism you can choose to engage with that can get out of hand if relied on too heavily) and i think that the reason kinning was so popular in early 2010s tumblr specifically in the way it was is because there was a rise in the type of abusive households that would encourage dissociation (strict rules, neglective parenting, rejection of trauma, trauma from the internet, unrestricted internet access, recession, rise in fascism, lack of third spaces, increased trauma in schools due to gun violence, the popularity of internet grooming and the lack of awareness around that topic, encouraged dissociation due to split internet/in person lives) and i also think that because of these things this has also increased the amount of people who have OSDD/DID/some form of plurality or at least increased the awareness of these disorders enough for people who are experiencing this dissociation to be able to be properly diagnosed. i think that the line between kinning when it is serious and spiritual and these disorders are very blurry and grey.

i think that kinning can tell you a lot about yourself and how you feel about yourself and your position in the world not specifically due to the character in the canon itself but your interpretation of the character and how you specifically feel about them and feel like they symbolize, but i also think that characters are written with specific people and tropes in mind and that many times paying attention to these tropes and threads between characters you kin is more important than the characters themselves. i also think that people could find a lot of freedom and fun in using fictional characters like fursonas and using them to communicate ideas that go beyond canon and are personally symbolic to them especially now in sort of a post-kin internet where a lot of people in my age kinned in their childhood but not as an adult, and i think that could be a good creative outlet for people especially if they spent a lot of time writing fanfiction or making fanart as a child.

i feel like psychological and emotional (and spiritual, but also to be clear, im very much not a spiritual thinker. it doesnt come to me naturally. i usually talk purely psychologically/politically, but im also someone who does have personal beliefs i like to keep to myself) ties disabled and autistic people develop towards fictional characters is something that is insanely important in general just as like a literal societal keystone, i think people forget how media used to be ran and how it was almost always spearhead by autistic people who were obsessed with a specific idea. most mainstream modern "iconic" series come from a source like that. i also think that people don't understand how delusions and hallucinations tend to work, and don't understand how religious delusions and fictional delusions such as kinning can be the same, but they both offer magical/fantastical escapes from reality that allow you to live a split life in a different place that is better or more symbolic or has more closure and clear concise beats to it than reality. abstractly, they fill the same role for a lot of people.

uhhh. i think thats just a lot of listing my beliefs and not really explaning them but i kinda just wanted to play my cards and show off what i think about irg to kinning. i would say its a special interest. like i said growing up my parents were convinced i was an earth angel, and there are a lot of reasons in their past that traumatized them into thinking that way. one thing i always found fascinating was my athiest dad was extremely into fandom, hes a furry himself and very strongly identifies with a small group of characters he obsessively collects. my family all agree that hes autistic, even if he isnt diagnosed. he treated his favorite characters (Spiderman, ash from evil dead, luke from starwars) exactly the same way as my mom treated any of her intense obsessions with imaginary figures (jesus/angels, ghosts, spirits, the government) as a very spiritually psychotic person, and growing up and out of my intense "spiritual" kinning phase when i was living in that household, i realized i was treating it the same exact way as my mom was treating her religious delusions. except the thing is i did it with homestuck characters so i was labeled histrionic and attention seeking instead of like you know. struggling with delusional thinking, which i very much was and is something i struggle with still now. not in a "im on alternia" kind of way but in a "im a fictional character and nothing i do has consequences so i regularly neglect myself" kind of way. i was homeschooled and msot people ive known havent been very kind to me, this has changed but my habits havent. and my i think people sort of overlook my habits bcause instead of looking like something insanely drastic its just sort of like. i kind of just disappear, and its because im thinking Of The Character. and its like a huge problem. and i kind of think its a big problem for a lot of people, but kinning is one of the pieces that goes overlooked in discussions about it because people are embarrassed. well im not. i like my guys and i like my connection with them. so

i personally am not too scared of it! fellow artists online are very vigilant about stolen works, so you will be safe and defended if it ever happens to you. if it ever happens, i recommend trying to resolve it private first though before calling it out publicly (consider it more of a last resort). it hasn't happened to me much (that i've noticed), and when it has i have tried to resolve the situation privately. i understand it can be nerve wracking to post your work to the internet because of this though!

(turns out most of the time the reason i cant do anything is because i need stimulants to function bc of my adhd ass) . actually thats a lie i do have more advice. but that is my major one. genuinely just try and let yourself work freely and not to fit yourself into a specific mold (experiment and dont focus on trying to be "one thing"), and let yourself do little indulgences on the side while you work on other things to keep you motivated. in between private projects right now i do little OC doodles as a treat for myself :] another tip is to allow yourself to "finish" something you've started. whether it came out exactly as you want, if you keep abandoning things it'll become a habit. so even if you dont make a perfectly rendered illustration and even if it doesnt come out how you want, if you can finish the piece in a way that you can go "this is good enough", you'll build up that drive to finish things. Obviously you don't want to half-ass everything but you don't want to overthink and give up on everything either. It's finding the right spot of ambitiousness and streamlining your work that gets the motivation working for me.... (and meds)

As per promised (shh its totally not tuesday) this took so long bc i had other stuff and also bc i drew some stuff with this aswell!!! Written versions PLUS ADDITIONAL HCS under the drawing!!

clarifying that if characters dont have any sort of queer flag they're probably cishet or not human so human sexualities dont apply to them! i dont really like changing things like names because at the end of the day, they arent my characters, so i did so an excessive amount of last name origin googling for characters im not 100% sure with. some characters have additional hcs, some don't. it just depends on how much i like the character and where my head was when i wrote the hcs which was mostly empty!!!

(how this will work is that i will reblog with the hcs and wont add tags till its done!)

I want to clarify that for some character, like the puppeteer, nina, sally etc, their ethnicity doesnt match the country they're located in. The flags/countries represented in these hc's are their ethnicities and not the countries they are based, located and grew up in UNLESS their family has previously lived their in generations before them (the hodek-wood's, the bloody painter, jane, etc.) PLEASE KEEP THIS IN MIND

Ninja as influencers

My previous post got me thinking, and now I have to write this down.

Kai:

He for sure has Twitter/Chirp and uses it regularly. Very popular. He also has the ninjago equivalent to Instagram and is also very popular there, too. I could imagine him having a yt channel and doing silly vlogs and the occasional game, but that's about it. The other ninja were a bit weirded out by the vlogs at first because they didn't really want to feed into the whole idolizing the ninja thing, but realized that they could show the world that they're just. People. Normal people who save the world sometimes but are normally just passed out on the couch. They all love being in his vlogs now. When he records something embarrassing, he makes absolutely certain that the person it's of is okay with it being posted. Like, he gives them weeks to think about it. He has a video of Zane singing let it go (due to Jay's programming skills), and he was ecstatic to be able to post it. He's also a tiktok star. He does the silly dances and lip-syncing.

Nya:

She has Chirp but doesn't use it for social media purposes? If that makes sense. Like, she mainly only scrolls through her friends' chirps and responds to those. She gets into the groove and made a really sweet and chill community once the people that were only there for the "inside scoop" of the water ninja's life left. Now there's just her friends and a bunch of nice people. She comments on and rechirps? a lot of fanart, though. She has an Instagram but only to comment on Kai's posts with a thumbs down. She has a tiktok. It's secret. She posts little edits about her artwork or mechanics. It's fairly popular. She sometimes uses the filters and makes videos using them but never posts them.

Cole:

Similar to Nya, he has a Chirp account but doesn't really use it much. He'll respond to fanart and fans, but he only really posts occasionally. His posts normally consist of song recommendations or riffs of his friends. He threads callouts when he feels especially petty. It's pretty chill. He probably has a secret second account for art. He doesn't want people to like his art just because he's the earth ninja, so he made a second account. He has a tumblr too. I don't make the rules. He tries to stay in the loop with everyone's thoughts and shuts down the gross people. He's pretty well-known on the site. He likes reblogging the ship content and misdirecting people because it's funny. Pixal found him drawing techno and he scrambled for an excuse but she silently put a finger to her lip, winked, and left. He was very confused. She was absolutely dying on the inside from laughter because she knew of his account but wanted to freak him out. He couldn't look her in the eye for a week because he thought she thought he shipped them or something. She purposefully spoke to him often. He kept trying to explain, but Pixal always had an excuse to leave or change the subject before he could say it.

Lloyd:

He has Chirp. He has tumblr. He has ao3. He's not allowed on Instagram. He has a yt channel where he exclusively talks about comics and games. On his Chirp, he is completely unhinged some times, and other times, he posts cute animals he finds on missions or on patrol. He found a stray cat once and named her mittens because a follower commented it. He has #mittensmonday, where he posts a picture of her. It's always trending on Monday. His tumblr is once again about games and stuff, but he has a semi-secret side blog for Ninja Shenanigans where it's theorized that it's him, but no one has proof and he doesnt give a direct answer. He has unknowingly reblogged and messaged Cole on multiple occasions because he doesn't know about the Secret account. Cole doesn't know what to do. His ao3 account is mostly to check up on what people are thinking. If he sees something unsavory, he immediately logs off because that's him. Avid tiktok enjoyer. He could make a video of just him staring at the screen, and it would go viral. He finds it hilarious. It's his goal to find the most obscure thing to post and for it to finally not get viral.

Zane:

He has Chirp, but he hasn't used it. Either that or he uses it so terribly incorrectly. I could be convinced that he has a cooking yt channel. He'd call it something nerdy or informational, but people kept chirping about it calling him cookingmama, and he doesn't get it? But due to Jay's persistence, he changed his @ to cookingmama.

Jay:

He has Chirp. He uses it to keep up with the world + just talk to fans. He has a gaming channel and a Twitch account. He streams at least once a week. He loves it! He has a pretty chill community, and he often asks his friends to play with him. He makes sure that the games he play with them are suited to them first. He doesn't ask. He just knows. He picks action-based games for Kai - maybe LoL or, like, Left 4 dead. He plays silly smart games with Nya, like Portal or Keep talking and nobody explodes (they are ridiculously good at this). He and Cole would play scary games. They exclusively play them at night; phasmaphobia has caused many of the ninja to awaken to a shriek. Comfy and typically non-violent games are his and Lloyd's go-to. They'll play Minecraft or stardew for HOURS before they realize the sun is coming up. He and Zane play semi-stressful cooking games, or Zane is just there for commentating. They'll be seen playing overcooked or cooking simulator (they always play that one with a challenge somehow). He makes silly follower goals, and he has unfortunately had to do many, many things because his followers keep rising.

Honorary Ninja, Pixal:

She has an account for every platform that the ninja have just to crowd control + to support them in their comments. She rarely, if ever, posts anything aside from commenting on her friends' posts. Hc that Borg owns every platform, so she uses that to weed out the weirdos by asking him to make the platform very buggy on their device specifically. It's only a matter of time before they delete the app, and she loves watching the downfall via their posts and complaints about the website. She knows of everyone's account, even the Secret ones. She never lets them know that she knows of them, even if they do something strange because of it (check Cole's). She loves messing with them. If someone posts something recently, she conveniently talks about it the same day and gives them whiplash because what are the chances that she said that today. She's the go-to gal if there are any tech issues on stream or during editing.
