He's very apprehensive about it. His feelings are too much for him already and it took forever for you and him to be okay having sex on a regular basis. As you slowly get more comfortable with each other, it slips out.

Cuddled up together on the couch, tv hums in the background, both of you half paying attention to it. A more violent sex scene happens. "I want you to do that to me." You mumble, not even sure of what you just said. But he freezes.

Pope's mind is going 110 miles per minute. Everything crashing at once. Was he not enough? Was he doing something wrong? Did you want him to hurt you?

He doesn't like it. And you notice. The way he freezes, his body suddenly fraught with tension. He doesn't say anything and he doesn't have to for you to pick up on it. You know him.

You turn to face him, fingers curling in his hair. "I'm sorry I shouldn't have said that. It's just... I like the idea of you losing control." His jaw clamps down. The wording has made it worse.

"You want me to lose control?" He repeats back. He's tried his best to keep his control the entire time he's known you, ever since he first laid eyes on you. That part of his mind filled with intrusive thoughts always pulling at him, telling him to do something. He's not like that, he doesn't want to be like that, he's not a monster.

He's staring at you again.

You're starting to panic a little. He's not saying anything and every word you speak makes the shovel move faster. The earth could open up and swallow you whole and it would be a relief.

"I mean in a safe way. Like I trust you, Andrew." There's a pause as you try and find the right wording, silently praying that your next sentence doesn't make him run. "I like the idea of you wanting me so bad you can't help yourself. That you need me. Not that you want to hurt me." He doesn't say anything again, his eyes still locked onto yours. He could never hurt you, but he's felt that need before and has shoved it down so deep inside, ruminating on the deep guilt he feels for wanting it. But you want him to want it.

"Just forget it, Andy. It's just a fantasy-" you're cut short by his mouth pressing harshly against yours.

The real sign of the inevitable dissolution of Jayce and Viktor's partnership/friendship really was the Progress Day Speech. I've seen people say this scene highlighted the growing shift in priorities between Jayce and Viktor. That Jayce was getting swept up in the limelight while Viktor wanted to keep it humble and stick to the work, and that's wrong.

First thing's first, Viktor does in fact want to go on stage (he was excited to just demonstrate the hexclaw), and Jayce is sincere in that he wants to share the spotlight and credit for hextech with Viktor. The problem in that scene is that for practically 7 years, Jayce has failed to see what's actually going on.

Jayce can't see that his face and only his face is on the mugs, the blimps, and the very banners that decorate the hall he's supposed to give a speech in. Jayce can't see that the Councilors direct all their questions on hextech to him while Viktor sits right next to him. Jayce doesn't notice that Mel, the most perceptive Councilor, still thought of Viktor as Heimerdinger's assistant (she didn't know they were close??!?!). He doesn't realize that the discussion on weaponizing hextech is centered on him rather than between him and his partner. Viktor isn't the one being invited to Piltover's parties for a reason.

Between Jayce and Viktor, they're partners on equal grounds, but to EVERYONE else in Piltover Viktor is practically a non-entity. The only person who doesn't get this is Jayce. It's a testament to Jayce's earnest naivette to think Viktor, as a Zaunite and visibly disabled, would be easily welcomed on stage by Piltover's elite to represent what Piltover has to offer. You'll notice this is the same crowd of people that attend Mel's Gala, the same Gala Viktor wasn't invited to.

This dynamic is insane!?!?! It's unsustainable!!!!! Obviously, Viktor is a grown man and could have mentioned something to Jayce, but also it's at least 7 years, how does someone miss this?!?!

By their last scene of the finale, Jayce was able to give Viktor a voice on the Council by literally standing by his side and giving him a seat at the table, but like peace treaty, the gesture has come far too late, and things cannot return to as they were.

Orpheus and Eurydice, jarthur variant BUT

Arthur is Orpheus. He can see again. John has his own body. It's weak and fragile, and John has no experience operating it. He stumbles and curses and whines that it's too cold, but there is no malice in his voice. He is happy - worried and frustrated, but still happy. More than anything, Arthur wants to turn around and help John, tentatively hold him, so they can get out of the cave together. He wants even more to look at his friend.

But the cave is long and twisted, and the longer they go the more tired John becomes. He used to narrate everything, despite Arthur being able to see again, but he has been quiet for awhile. So, instead, Arthur starts talking - he tells John about the first thing they will do when they get out of the cave. What food he will order John. How great it is to sleep in sometimes. How to correctly make tea. How he hopes they can go to the Christmas fair.

John stays silent. The hand - the one that used to belong to John and the one Arthur now holds onto John's new hand - is warm and sticky and Arthur hears the quiet dripping of something onto the rock floor.

Arthur talks about everything he can think of, because if he stops - he will turn around.

John is Orpheus. He has his own body but Arthur still can't see. "It's okay" - Arthur says, his voice trembling with happy tears. - "You just have to guide me again". Arthur is injured and tired, but he keeps going right behind John, holding his hand with his right one. But the cave is long and twisted and Arthur grows more tired. It frustrates John: finally, he has his own body and yet he is still useless, he can't help Arthur in a way that matters.

He just needs to get to the exit. He just needs to get to the exit of the cave and Arthur will be fine. It would be so much easier if Arthur could still talk to him. He talked a little, during the first hours of the journey, but the closer they are to the exit the weaker his voice sounds, the less Arthur says. He didn't say anything for a while - and John wants so much to turn around and check if he's okay.

Instead, he continues to narrate everything he sees. He describes the twisted turns of the cave, the bats that fly around, and the beautiful gems he sees on their way.

John talks about everything he can think of, because if he stops - he will turn around.

Stolas' pictures including a conscious Blitz looking away from the camera and Stolas. Blitz's picture including an unconscious Stolas cuddled up next to him. Because Stolas believes them on equal footing/the same page about what their dynamic is with Blitz just hating every minute of it and Stolas. Because Blitz believes they're on different levels entirely and that the only way he can be content is when the rest of the world (and Stolas specifically) live on without him.

Because Stolas and Blitz are both terrified of being/dying alone, but while Stolas would sacrifice his love for Blitz, Blitz doesn't believe his own love is worth anything to begin with.

We were talking about how the Japanese audience views bkdk as canon and how the culture sees an "I love you" as much less verbal, or literal, and more symbolic and deep. And of course how bkdk has "the rest of our lives" from bakugou...

But also another one:

"I'm the one who steps in when he can't handle it on his own!"

Another thought on my brain while I am here, that post adds new context for me to the "rest of our lives" part and how the Bakugou parents, who were chasing their boy down and then apologized for the interruption, have retreated and are standing well outside in the hallway, heads down, respectfully letting their son confess those feelings and have that moment with Izuku.

They heard Katsuki saying that and decided, "oh. Oh, we should go."
