Vintage Pregel

What beautiful place 0.0 The Pregel is the name of the river than through Konigsberg. I think of it as their equivilent of the Themes, but it was probably way less smelly because, unlike the backwards Brits, the Germans had advanced irrigation and big public spending. The Themes comparison doesn't entirely come from my Britishness, as I grew up by The Mersey (which runs through Liverpool), however, most popular 1900/1910's dramas are set in London. I think this is reflective of a capitalist imperialist mind-set in which much store is put on areas with excess wealth and privilege. Konigsberg, too, was very prosperous and cosmopolitan at this time, but modest compared to London, perhaps more similar to Liverpool. Almost all the native Konigsbergers were soldiers and Sailors, and the decedents of intermingling sea-faring Scandinavians and Saxons, and the exact same can be said of the Liverpudlians. With the Liverpudlian Irish element mirroring the Konigsbergian Lithuanian and Polish elements.

ME1 Systems
This list was made to not only catalogue where missions were, but to also make note of all the collectibles that you can scan for.
*this list was based off of Legendary Edition, but it should still be applicable for the OG trilogy(?)
The formatting is as follows:
>System Cluster -System name Planets Missions
*if there are multiple asteroid belts in a system, Asteroid belt 1 refers to the belt closest to the star.
*Cardinal directions are used to describe where the collectible is in belts, and so north is the top of the screen, east is right, etc.
A ME3 list will be coming soon! And if people are interested I can document all the discovery blurbs you get from scanning non-minerals: insignias, writings, etc. (hell, I might do it anyways but its nice to know I'm not shouting into the void)
If you find any discrepancies or have any questions let me know!

Price: [price_with_discount] (as of [price_update_date] - Details) [ad_1] When most technical professionals think of Big Data analytics today, they think of Hadoop. But there are many cutting-edge applications that Hadoop isn't well suited for, especially real-time analytics and contexts requiring the use of iterative machine learning algorithms. Fortunately, several powerful new technologies have been developed specifically for use cases such as these. Big Data Analytics Beyond Hadoop is the first guide specifically designed to introduce these technologies and demonstrate their use in detail. An indispensable resource for data scientists and others who must scale traditional analytics tools and applications to Big Data, it illuminates these new alternatives at every level, from architecture all the way down to code. Dr. Vijay Srinivas Agneeswaran shows how to evaluate and choose the right tools and then reengineer your solutions and products to work far more effectively in Big Data environments. Agneeswaran explains the Berkeley Data Analysis Stack (BDAS) in detail, including its motivation, design, architecture, Mesos cluster management and the analysis of both performance and accuracy. He presents realistic use cases and up-to-date example code for:. Spark, the next generation in-memory computing technology from UC Berkeley. Storm, the parallel real-time Big Data analytics technology from Twitter. GraphLab, the next-generation graph processing paradigm from CMU and the University of Washington (with comparisons to alternatives such as Pregel and Piccolo) Agneeswaran offers architectural and design guidance and code sketches for scaling machine learning algorithms to Big Data and then realizing them in real-time. He concludes by previewing emerging trends, including real-time video analytics, SDNs and even Big Data governance, security and privacy issues. To position you for tomorrow's advances, he identifies intriguing startups and new research possibilities, including BDAS extensions and cutting-edge model-driven analytics. Ognen Ivanovski's implementation of the Pregel computation system for graphs on top of Rama, along with connected components and topological sort (for DAGs) as fully distributed algorithms - in < 175 lines. A heavy read without good familiarity with Rama APIs.

Fort Friedrichsburg
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Fort Friedrichsburg or Feste Friedrichsburg was a fort in Königsberg, Germany. The only remnant of the former fort is the Friedrichsburg Gate (Russian: Фридрихсбургские ворота, German: Friedrichsburger Tor) in Kaliningrad, Russia.
Construction of the fort began in 1657 during the Second Northern War by the order of Frederick William of Brandenburg-Prussia. The fort was built in place of a tollhouse on the southern shore of the Pregel River at the western edge of Königsberg.[1] It was included within the new ring of Königsberg fortifications constructed from 1626 to 1634. Districts neighboring the fort were Vorstadt to the east, Nasser Garten to the southwest outside of the city walls, and Lastadie to the north across the river. Construction of the fort was resented by the constituent towns of Königsberg, especially Kneiphof.
Friedrichsburg was designed by Christian Otter, court mathematician and Albertina professor. Friedrichsburg's position allowed its cannons to defend the city from the west, monitor incoming traffic from the Frisches Haff, and suppress civil uprising. The fort originally consisted of earthwork, bricks, and ditches. The square-shaped structure included four bastions, nicknamed Smaragd, Perle, Rubin, and Diamant.

The duke nodded in understanding, before quipping in a murmur: "You didn't answer my first question—"
Heinrich blinked slowly and cocked his head to the side ever so subtly, raising a playful eyebrow at the man. "—but that doesn't matter. What I'm getting from this is that you're being overly critical of yourself, again."
He didn't even try to hide it— the dear 19th-century reincarnation of Pistis himself, this man...
Regardless, the Prussian would certainly appreciate less rubbish being thrown in the Pregel and more preservation of the Russian's works. Borrowing manpower from the Ministry to collect his lover's discarded writings from a river wasn't exactly a good investment on the economic side of things, after all.
"Oh, Vali, do not give me that look now— just let me ask you a few questions..." Feigning innocence, Heinrich wiggled his hand in Valentin's grasp as he spoke, hinting at the desire for a less...apprehensive handholding, perhaps. His free hand gestured lazily at the pile of paper. "What is it that's wrong with it, hm?"
We're going out, Heinrich.
No greetings, no gifts. Valentin showed up in the office unannounced - not that he ever really needed to announce his presence here. He carried a stack of papers, all clumsily stuffed in his hands in seemingly either a rush or an overly emotional moment.
If you're free, that is. I can go alone, if you'd prefer that.
((@all-are-liars-and-hypocrites))
The moment his footsteps echoed down the hallway, from that weight and rhythmic pace, the duke knew it was Valentin's. No matter how engrossed Heinrich may be in his work, that man's allure will never fail to rip him from such tasks...
"Hmm?" He hummed curiously, a smile already forming on his face...until he looked up at Valentin and took in his demeanour.
Heinrich swiftly placed his quill back into the inkwell while his smile faltered slightly— his expression twisting into that of a small frown as his dark eyes studied the Russian's demeanour...as much as a man with this damning eye condition could from such a distance, that is.
The duke sat up straight. "...You're upset, Valentin." He asserted with a gentle voice— a rare feat— and clasped his hands together, putting them under his chin and leaning forward slightly. The silence lingered in the air for a moment: "We shall go, yes, but can you...come here first, please?"
His eyes flickered between the man's cool ones and the papers in his hand as he awaited a response...
Though unlikely to be noticed from under his facial hair, Heinrich's frown deepened; he knew what Valentin wanted to do...

A brief, well-written article introducing Google's "Pregel" system for (very) large scale graph processing. Pregel is iterative and runs the same function for each vertex in parallel, allowing it to read messages the vertex got from the previous step or send messages to other vertices (typically along its outgoing edges) for the next step. The article has an example demonstrating this.
