Really says something about the dire state of offerings for men interested in sewing their own clothes that even searching things like "interesting men's clothing patterns" brings up articles with links to four or five whole websites that primarily offer admittedly nice but practically identical patterns for making button-ups and work pants and maybe a varsity/bomber jacket if you're lucky.

(Branching out into historical costuming for everyday wear is like your one shot at variation, and even then, the ratio of men's to women's patterns on every website is frustrating to say the least.)

Patternmakers as a trans man I am begging you. Give me a little more to work with here.

a while ago i was sent an ask from @waterjewelsspite (answered below) wherein i was asked about different elven fashions.... so from left to right: doriathrim fashion, teleri + nargothrond fashion, vanya fashion :DD these have been sitting in my drafts as uncoloured wips since early 2022 omg, but better late than never i suppose !!!

i didnt have a specific sketch page for the noldor that i did back then hahahaha so i came back to it recently and took it as a chance to do some assorted concept doodles with the kind of outfits i imagine them wearing in mundane situations? i dont quite know how to explain it but i hope my annotations can help show my thought process a bit!!

cant believe it took me this long to give like half the characters proper fullbody refs or designs (im looking at YOU beleg and mablung) but this has been super fun and really refreshing, so thank you again waterjewelsspite for the kind ask!!! sorry again it took. two and a half years. Cosplay of zhang qiling张起灵 (nickname xiaoge小哥) from dao mu bi ji 盗墓笔记 The Grave Robbers' Chronicles by xu lei, one of the most beloved characters (paper people) in chinese fandoms (the coser is 小杰), and the book was written in 2006 and isn't finished yet and is still being serialized. Chinese fans voted for "which character from books you consider that won't affect your feelings and impression of her/him/them at all, no matter how badly the movie or TV version fails" and "The character that most convinced you they were real", and zhang qiling won the first place. Many book fans think the only successful live-action zhang qiling is cast by xiao yuliang肖宇梁 in Ultimate Note终极笔记.
