Hey! These two for any oc(s) of your choice.
🧊 - Is their current design the first one?
🧠 - What do you like most about the OC?
Hey, darling!! Thanks for the ask!! I love these!
Let's try to pair these with the most interesting answers, shall we?
🧊 - Is their current design the first one?
Gwenevieve Hampshire
Gwen is one of my only transplant characters. She may actually be the only one, now that I think about it. She was originally created about 6-12 months before The Animatronic Saga for a zombie duology I tried to write to get over my fear of them. Yeah, did not work.
But! Gwen Earthen, one of the main characters best friends would go from being a quiet and shy side character to strong-- sometimes violent-- GWENEVIEVE HAMPSHIRE!
With pretty much the same look about her, too.
🧠 - What do you like most about the OC?
I actually want to use this response for an unconventional character. How about...
EllaMae
So EllaMae is an interesting character all on her own within my dark fairytale retelling: Prinz Charming.
But what I think I like most about her is how she uses her skills, flaws, and standings to create something from nothing for herself.
She was a handmaid for years then a regular maid and finally thrust up into royalty.
She knows how the court works. She knows how people talk to your face and behind your back. She knows how to flatter. She knows she'll never be the first-picked or the prettiest because of her social class, so she sharpens her other skills.
She'll be cunning and driven and have the sharpest ears of anyone in the castle.
She's so fun to write, too.

hi guys, may i introduce you to the concept of ailette/hestio
Tumblr media
If hesphael is ephael giving in to hestio with some jibes that have little to no heat behind them, then ailette/hestio is ailette returning hestio's energy even more and hestio not being able to take it. Ephael teases hestio with a ☺️ or 😄 face while ailette is like >:)) and she does not pull punches. she would embarrass him happily and watch him combust. They compete on a bunch of inconsequential things and hestio loses 80% of the time because ailette is just too cool like that.
#hestio ligenel#mimin voice i think everyone in this series should kiss hestio actually#i made that one post recently from twt abt how you end up making everyone in the franchise in love w ur fave#and i was like. me w tesilid#wrong actually its me w hestio. everyone should plant a big fat kiss on hestio's cheek it would delight me greatly#me yelling into the void in irinbi's vague direction:#hello could you please give hestio a love interest???? please???? for me???#like please PLEASE hestio has so much potential HE COULD BE SO FUNNY....#i am NOT immune to his irresistible tsundere charms#the fun thing abt shipping hestio w like literally every character is that he's slightly different w each of them but hes still very funny#i just want to see him imploding on himself a little. okay#like this scene is so funny to me. hes so cute#and he says the gnarliest things sometimes too like when he called ailette a cabbage bc her layers have layers#why are you calling a girl a cabbage.... he has no tact i want to pinch his cheek#i need someone to bully him a little#teshes flavour of teasing hestio would be done w a straight face and tesilid would let hestio off the hook very easily#hesphael flavour is ephael making good natured jabs abt things he knows hestio wont rly get super riled up abt#and then ailette just goes straight for his throat#actually while we're here lets think abt other hestio ships too. clears throat. please consider prinzhestio#it would be very cute bc prinz is very considerate and accomodating#he has the same vibes as pre regression tesilid except he doesnt give hestio blood pressure issues bc he can take care of himself#prinz isnt a doormat. he would probably be like. a hestio restrainer. stops hestio from losing his head at things and calms him down#hestio almost loses his temper and he takes a deep breath turns to prinz stares at him for a couple of seconds and then#turns back completely calm and serene again#AND ALSO prinz is a knight he can protect hestio#like listen its just in prinz's blood to be knightly and protect ppl arnd him okay that fits well w hestio's need to be protected#literally its so funny how hestio is like super vulnerable but hasnt awakened his aura. he just relies on ephael#what a princess. i love him.#(ephael voice) yeah okay ill protect you or youll prob die...#(tesilid voice) my obligations.... (prinz voice) OH NO ARE YOU OKAG

Astro Observations #26
• Now idk if I’m onto something but I feel like your Vesta sign might appear in your relationship’s composite chart! E.g. My Vesta is in Aries in the 11H and most of my composite charts have Aries stellium/Aries placements in the 11H. {Might do a Vesta observations post next}
• Yes the 11H is associated with friendships and partnerships often but I think you should also check your 6H! Overall I think it’s more accurate too given 6H represents routine so it symbolize people you see/talk to on the daily. E.g. I have Scorpio in the 6H and most of my best friends are Scorpio suns/placements!💜
• That also applies for sidereal btw!!
• Whatever sign you have over your 3H is the sign you might find more intriguing to talk to! E.g. if you’re a 3H Leo you might find Leo mercuries/placements very stimulating or knowledgeable! • Gemini-Pisces mix culture is falling for mentally stimulating people you romanticize in your head.
• I find Water sun men with Scorpio risings are usually average to tall height! E.g. Dick Clark was a Scorpio sun/rising and he was 5”8 & Freddie Prinze Sr was a Cancer sun, Scorpio rising and he was around 6”2.
• I’ve noticed most (not all) fire moons tend to have moms with opposite elements in their big 3 and dads with air moons! E.g. One of my Leo moon exs has a Taurus sun-Libra moon mother and an Aquarius moon father, my Aries moon best friend has a Sagittarius sun-Scorpio moon mom and an Aquarius moon dad and there’s this Sagittarius moon I know who has a Libra sun-Taurus moon mom and a Libra moon father!😅
• People with Air moons normally tend to have parents with Earth in their big 3. E.g. I’m an Aqua moon, my mom’s a Virgo moon. Two of my cousins who are siblings, are Aqua and Libra moons and their parents are Virgo suns.
• I feel like earth moons give more of a grounded or down to earth vibe when you’ve just met or aren’t that close with them.. But if you do get close to them/get to know them better you’ll notice how lively yet sometimes impatient/passive aggressive they can be lol.
• Air moons on the other hand can seem quite charming & socially active/restless but they’re actually pretty chill people once you get to know them better—just more mentally active lol.
• Fire moons may seem mean—mainly because of their erratic sense of humor and their sarcasm—but they’re actually really caring, loyal and honest people.
• Then Water moons.. They’re actually deep people. Yes they’re very affectionate and sometimes naive, but most water moons I know are very emotionally intelligent with strong intuition.
• Imo, Pisces venuses don’t get the friendly, self-sacrificing recognition they deserve. They tend to put others not just their partners before themselves and are willing to go to the ends of the earth for those they love/care about.
• Aquarius venuses are CHILLL lmao.😂
• Fire mercuries/mercury in fire degrees/houses have some of the loudest yet hysterical laughters!😂✋🏽
• Also, they tend to be into blue comedy, satire & slapstick.
• This doesn’t get talked about but Gemini placements can indicate having split parents/2 families! E.g I’m a Gemini rising and my parents split when I was 4 then my dad went on to have another family. Another example, 2 of my cousins who are Gemini suns and an ex of mine who’s also a Gemini sun ALL have split parents/2nd families. I have a bestie who’s a Gemini moon and the same applies to him lol.
• Mercury signs won’t 100% indicate if you get along well or not, it’s more about the moon sign. E.g. One of my best friends is a Scorpio mercury with a Gemini moon and we get along really well then my mom’s also a Scorpio mercury but with a Virgo moon and we can’t have long conversations without butting heads. Also, one of my other besties is a Libra mercury (opposite mine which is in Aries) and we get along reallyyy well.
• Whichever your dominant element is might indicate which venus signs you get along with best. E.g. I’m Air/Water dom and I attract/get along with best Gemini/Libra & Scorpio venuses!

a very late sharing but . . .
Tumblr media
last month ( june 2024 ), i went to watch 4 amazing shows in germany and the netherlands. at least 3 were frozen and 1 was tanz der vampire.
it was supposed to be 3 shows, but my friend and i had a last-minute decision to watch die eiskönigin on my last day in hamburg so that's why we watched 4 shows in total.
i had the best time of my life for this trip!!
MAINLY the reason i worked hard to make this trip a reality was because i reaaaaally wanted to see bob ( who plays main cast prince hans for frozen hamburg ) and LET ME TELL YOU ohhhh it was such a joy to see his performance TWICE + waited for him after the show to talk and take a picture.
OFC i stammered and i straight up told him how speechless i am except for how amazing it was to see him perform etc. and my friend told him i came all the way from malaysia just to watch him AND at that point i think he thinks it was lowkey crazy of me to do that cause he asked "that's insane, wow! how long was your flight?" and i said 12-13 hours give or take. and he was like "pls tell me you have other activities to do while staying here in hamburg" but i was spacing out cause i was over the moon and embarrassed after that. but my friend told him that we're seeing places in hamburg and later in the netherlands to watch the dutch production so he was like "ah okay, cool 👍".
no one really prepares you for how surreal it is meeting your favorite person / celeb / actor 😭 and he was so sweet and down to earth that at one point i felt it wasn't right to come up to him and ask for a picture because i didn't have one JUST with him. like the fact that i met him twice was a blessing on its own, and i was veeeery torn from being that crazy and disrespectful fan versus "i'd rather say thank you and move on so he can have his space".
WHICH i think, was the ultimate right decision because at the end of the day, they're still an average people with a job who deserves every ounce of respect and decency with their personal time.
ANYWAY i'll never forget how magical it was seeing him perform, his FUCKING VOCALS, impeccable height and form, all that little gestures which noooo one really paid attention to except if you're delusional enough ( the amount of times i DIED gushing on the inside seeing his scenes with anna even though im not a hanna stan ). my favorite scene / gesture was when he signals to anna to CLIMB up to him during LIAOD and i GRABBED my friend's hands cause I NOTICEDDDD THAT !!!! ( it helps when our seat was the second front row, so i was already at a close-up there 👀 ).
when i tell you i literally had my eyes on him at EVERY SCENE he's in!!!! aahhhhhhh, i am blessed ✨️ and OH, his evil laugh after betraying anna? YES KING I SUPPORT YOU.
and ofc, hearing PRINZ HANS AUS DEM SÜDEN plus his reprise???! UGHHH, please take my money again!!! and LASS JETZT LOSS BY BOTH JANNEKE AND WILLEMJIN??? MINDBLOWING. PHENOMENAL. SHOWSTOPPER!!
zum ersten mal, liebe sie öffnen tür, gefährlich wenn man träumt & monster !!! ahhhh, music to my ears 💕
also ALSO i met willemijn and abla after the second ( impromptu ) show AND just like what i said in the beginning to bob, i told them hearing du bist alles was EVERYTHING to me and it's vastly different than hearing it on youtube. they are gooooorgeous gorgeous women and i felt accomplished after taking a picture with them ( even though i was freezing ).
i met jan who plays main cast olaf and aaaaaa he's basically the human version of olaf!! very lovely to talk to him and took a picture with him as well 💕
for tanz der vampire, my friend chose the seats where the actors will interact with the audience and i was ✨️ charmed ✨️ by them ; one scene happened when one of the vampires swept his cloak and nearly covered me underneath, and another scene happened when one of them TAPPED my shoulder — i felt so special looool.
there were a few of my favorite songs in there, but finally hearing them live ( totale finsternis and got ist tott ) was CHEFS KISS 💋
anyways, hearing frozen in dutch was a totally different experience in itself. it was great, and the actors really gave it their all, i think ( imho ), i prefer the german version. maaaaybe because i've been hearing their version for almost a year AND studying german A1, so i've been using it as one of my listening practices 🥲👌
nevertheless, my heart remains full even after more than a month. while my heart aches to return there ( especially hamburg ), i'm hopeful that i can make it happen again and watch frozen german in stuttgart next ( FINGERS CROSSED ).

Thank Your Lucky Stars
youtube
youtube
youtube
During World War II, most of the major studios produced all-star musicals, usually built around some kind of benefit performance, to raise money for the war effort. David Butler’s THANK YOUR LUCKY STARS (1943, TCM) was the first of two such films Warner Bros. made to support the Hollywood Canteen, which is natural as it was founded by two of their biggest stars, Bette Davis and John Garfield.  Early on, aspiring composer Joan Leslie says of a makeshift community of show-biz hopefuls, “It’s either very quaint or very corny.” I wasn’t feeling well last night, so I leaned toward the former as a cure for what ailed me. The plot is negligible. Producer Edward Everett Horton and composer S.Z. Sakall want to do a benefit with Dinah Shore, but since she works for Eddie Cantor, they can’t find a way to get her without letting him take over the show. Meanwhile, aspiring singer Dennis Morgan tries to get into the show with help from Leslie and an actor who can’t get work because he looks too much like Cantor. Yes, it’s Cantor in a double role, though the joke is that Cantor as Cantor plays a nightmarish egomaniac while his double is more like Cantor’s real image. Arthur Schwartz and Frank Loesser wrote some catchy upbeat songs — including the title number, impeccably sung by Shore, and Davis’ “They’re Either Too Young or Too Old” — and some soupy ballads. Part of the film’s charm is seeing performers not noted for musical skills sing and dance, with special honors to Garfield for doing a version of “Blues in the Night” that spoofs his screen image. Choreographer Leroy Prinze deserves a lot of credit for coming up with a dancing style to suit Errol Flynn’s image, throwing Davis into a jitterbug number, turning Olivia de Havilland (dubbed) and Ida Lupino into bobbysoxers and staging a bang-up number headed by Hattie McDaniel, who should have done more musicals. Watch closely and you’ll catch Ruth Donnelly as a surgical nurse, Henry Armetta as a barber, Frank Faylen as a sailor, Mike Mazurki as Cantor’s trainer, Mary Treen as an autograph hound and Butler and producer Mark Hellinger as themselves. As icing on the cake, you get to see Spike Jones and his City Slickers do “Otchi Chornya.”

Let it be
englisch, komisch
1.
The ontological thinker thinks a being and thinks the being. Being he thinks: While being and by being he thinks. The ontological thinker thinks through being. Er durchdenkt es. From Seiendem to Sein, from Wesen to Kreaturen, from Existenz to Quellennymphe Egeria: Whereever being goes follows the thinker, follow the thoughts.
Who is such a thinker? Martin Heidegger is an ontological thinker. Gerhard Otto (who wrote Dialektik und Jurisprudenz in the sixties and published it as one of the first books of the Max-Planck-Institute für europäische Rechtsgeschichte) is an ontological thinker. As ontological thinkers think about ontology ontological they are a part of what they do even if they do it apart. One may (but does not need to) understand that as a problem. One may associate this problem with the cultural techniques, that Aby Warburg called Distanzschaffen (coping with/ creating distance without covering it).
2.
The contemporary ontological thinker is not a dominant thinker. There is no domus he can afford that could make him a dominant ontological thinker. No domus, but contubernium; not a house but some 'Behausungen': a few pavillons let him be.
Who is such a contemporary ontological thinker? The scholars of cultural techniques claim to be such thinkers. That means that Bernhard Siegert is such an contemporary ontological thinker, he speaks about operative ontologies: being through techniques. That would make Markus Krajewski an ontological thinker. Cornelia Vismann was such an ontological thinker: she and Siegert both studied in Freiburg, wherelse, when you were young in the seventies, wild and still interested in ontology? In 'Abteilung 3' Johan Horst is an ontological thinker (though he may denie it), because his project on contemporary meteorology and justice (about the anthroposcene) deals in its core with time and being. (Edit: i just asked him, He does not deny it).
As Vismann and Siegert are very important for my own work i may also say: i am one of those, who Adeodato wisely or witty does not call ontological thinkers but ontological philosophers. It is more than charming, it is seducing to be presented as dominant. Thank you so much Adeodato for enabling me to have such fantasies. The MPI is a good amplifier for imaginations like this. Nevertheless i try to be as realistic as you wish us to be. Let me be, let me be a rhetorical being.
2.
What is a rhetorical being? What is the rhetorical being? The first question is easy to answer, as you may answer it just by giving an example. I may give some examples: Matthias Prinz (see above) is a rhetorical being; the Princess Caroline is a rhetorical being, pictures or images are rhetorical beings (called for example schema, figura or called imagines). A closer example is Adeodato himself: he is a rhetorical being. I may explain this in details (may even show you pictures and short movies) , but one think is more important: you don't have to understand the details, you have to be, positivly or negativly, attracted by them, pushed or drawn, moved in one or another direction: than you are on the best way not only to understand rhetorical being(s) but to be rhetorical being(s). In my sense rhetorical beings are associated with/by animation, that is: giving cause and move.
What is the rhetorical being? My thesis would be: The rhetorical being is a touristical being and the tour of this being appears as detour (that is the technical condition). The detour is due to the fact, that there are no rhetorics without the 'afterlife of antiquity' (Aby Warburg). Therefore: The contemporary task for tropical rhetorics would be to describe the polarities of rhetorical being(s).

Christmas With You: Heartwarming Christmas Film With a Focus on Family
Tumblr media
Christmas With You–directed by Gabriela Tagliavini–is Netflix’s latest Christmas romance, along the same lines as your go-to Hallmark or Lifetime films during this time of the year. Netflix is becoming a staple in the holiday movie landscape, and Christmas With You is an exciting new addition which balances heartfelt family moments, Latin American culture, and sweet romantic moments.
Christmas With You follows a budding romance between music teacher and single father Miguel (Freddie Prinze Jr.) and struggling pop star Angelina (Aimee Garcia). The pair come together when Miguel’s daughter Cristina (Deja Monique Cruz) records a cover of one of Angelina’s songs. This leads the pop star to grant Cristina’s Christmas wish to meet Angelina.
Focus on Family and Traditions
What sets Christmas With You apart from other similar Christmas films is how the focus is not entirely on the upcoming holiday. Christmas is an important aspect of the film–and we see glimpses into how the family’s culture impacts their holiday traditions.
Christmas With You does not shy away from the Latin American culture of its characters, and always feel like their unique experiences are the central focus of the film, rather than hidden. Seeing Freddie Prinze Jr. play a Latino character is a nice change from what we got used to seeing. It is always welcome to see actors be able to bring their own culture to the screen, and Christmas With You let Freddie Prinze Jr. speak Spanish on screen.
Tumblr media
In addition to Christmas celebrations, Christmas With You is also about Cristina’s quinceanera and how this milestone in her journey is impacted by the recent loss of her mother. Christmas With You creates an emotional balance of the sadness of the past with the hope for the future.
Having the film leading up to Cristina’s quinceanera as well as Christmas makes Christmas With You a unique experience in the world of holiday films. Having the focus not entirely on the romance allows for natural moments showcasing the father-daughter relationship between Miguel and Cristina.
Freddie Prinze Jr. gives a great performance, especially in scenes showcasing Miguel as a sometimes conflicted, confused, and proud father to Cristina. Some of the best comedic moments in Christmas With You are between Miguel and the various members of his family including his daughter as well as his mother. The family scenes–both before and after they have a pop star come to visit–have a perfectly natural energy filled with the awkward moments that can only happen with your family.
Christmas With You handles emotional experiences with a heartwarming hopefulness, but makes sure the emotions ring true and are never ignored or forgotten. Among all the Christmas cheer, the loss of Cristina’s mother and Miguel’s wife, is always in their hearts, never ignored for a quick romantic solution.
Heartwarming Romance
The romance at the heart of Christmas With You is warm and inviting, and shows how both Miguel and Angelina change over the course of the film, helping each other realize their fears and how to overcome them.
The way romantic moments develop in Christmas With You feels natural. Some more family-oriented romances do not let the love interests develop a natural attraction and charm, but with Christmas With You, the romance builds up through small moments such as stolen glances–and the quiet intimacy of helping each other make tamales.
Their romantic attraction bubbles to the surface with a natural and exciting chemistry between Freddie Prinze Jr and Aimee Garcia. For an audience who grew up watching Freddie Prinze Jr in movies like She’s All That, seeing him return to the world of the rom-com is exciting and offers a warm nostalgia–which perfectly fits with the Christmas season.
Tumblr media
At times, the drama between Miguel and Angelina–especially focusing around Angelina’s ex boyfriend Ricardo (Gabriel Sloyer) feels out of place among the rest of the movie, but these moments work to explore how the music industry has made Angelina lose a little bit of herself.
Christmas With You tells a nice story of getting away from the hustle and bustle of a too-demanding job, and even though Angelina is not physically returning to her own hometown, we see Angelina reconnect with her own cultural roots and bond with Miguel as well as his family, finding what she misses in her new life.
And what works so well in this romance, is how much Miguel also learns about himself in the process. Too often, films like this are about a career’ woman discovering she needs a small town, with her love interest not having any sort of change in himself. The balance in Christmas With You makes the romance more realistic and rewarding. Miguel discovers his own regrets and fears, and these moments are told with a real understanding of how difficult it is to leave what you’ve known–including fears–behind.
Conclusion
Christmas With You tells a sweet romance with great chemistry between Freddie Prinze Jr and Aimee Garcia, but what sets this romcom apart is its focus on family and the importance of embracing culture with its focus on Cristina’s quinceanera, and how this brings everyone closer together.

The bad hits just keep on coming. 36 hours after Belzer, Rick Newman, the owner for Catch a Rising Star, joins him in Heaven. Here are the notes from my interview with him in January, 2017, when I was writing a piece on Freddie Prinze’s Tonight Show spot for New York Magazine....
(RICK NEWMAN)
Club opened December 18, 1972. We opened with a birthday party for Rocky Graziano. I knew I need a gimmick to open to get press. A friend of mine knew Rocky. He had a pizza place on 30th and 2nd. I got a press agent, Gene Webber, through Freddie Roman.  Jimmy Cannon came. Jake LaMotta was there.
I had auditions. Fair amount of singers and comedians. Dave Jonas and I got close. He had just signed Freddie. Would I put him up? This was quite quickly after we opened. He might have been 18.  You knew what he had right from the start. He was good from the git-go. Great poise. He used to work out. I put him up in primetime.
A typical show in those days was Bill Mahru emceed, then Richard Belzer, Billy Crystal, Freddie, Patti Benatar, Brenner and Andy Kaufmann.
He had all the ingredients to become a star. He was good looking, charming, and had a big personality.
Freddie, Brenner and I got really close. Spent a lot of time together. My father was Hungarian as well.
Jonas's other acts, Freddie Roman, Dick Capri, Billy Baxter, would come in late from their hotel gigs in their tuxes and go up late and kibbitz.
Right away, the bookers from shows came in. I was the new kid on the block. Craig Tennis came in from the Tonight Show. He saw him a few times. Brenner really helped him with his sets.
Any time there was a comic on Carson, we put a TV in the bar and took a break to watch the shot. That night was the perfect storm. He was great looking, he was ethnic, he had worked on his set so he was calm and cool. He was so ready for that Carson shot. And the audience was on fire. Sammy Davis Jr. and Johnny were hysterical during his set and they saw that.
James Komack was working on "Chico and the Man" at the time, and after that, that was it.
(I know I ran this a couple of weeks ago, but this is a better version. And given the news, bears repeating....)

That girl you said would have been my fourth
Tumblr media
sauce
I'm talking about Kancolle's Version of Prinz Eugen, of course. Though, I will admit, i do think Azur Lane's Version is very cute, she is also different.
the simple nature of a short blonde german girl whose very cute and charming is just good.
as I said to Shiki last night, i am very much surprised her and Bismarck have often been overlooked! Their designs are simple yet very good imo.
So yeah, sshe's someone i am considering adding eventually as I clearly need more chonky shorties and boat girls.

Just watched: Christmas With You
(Pictured: Aimee Garcia and Freddie Prinze Jr)
Tumblr media
If you’re looking for a new Christmas romcom, this is a pretty good choice. I loved Aimee Garcia on Lucifer, and it’s good to see that she can still bring the charm wherever she is. I never saw very much of Freddie Prinze Jr’s most notable work (pretty much I’ve seen him in the two I Know What You Did Last Summer movies and the one time he appeared on Psych) but it’s clear why he was so successful in his early career. He is ridiculously likable in this.
This is a very by-the-numbers romcom. No big surprises. No big twists. But that’s perfectly fine.
Another positive: There are barely any white people in this movie. It’s honestly a breath of fresh air. Also, I had no idea Freddie Prinze Jr wasn’t white (he can white-pass for sure sometimes) but has Puerto Rican heritage. Cue my wife: “You thought someone with the last name Prinze was white?” In my defense, up until now I thought his last name was Prince 😄. Ignoring that, I was not aware that Prinze was a Puerto Rican name.
If you need something heartwarming for the holidays, this is a good bet.
