Guess who’s been ignoring his exam prep and watching YouTube instead? This guy. Reader is also a little older than the other characters, but how much older you can choose for yourself.

Demons weren’t something completely out of the norm for the heroes of this world. Way too many so called villains would summon low grade demons and imps to wreak havoc. Very few were actually able to summon sentient and powerful beings.

Invincible had been sent in since theyd just thought it would be like every other weak magician who thought they could take over the world. That was until the demon that appeared was actually one of the well-known demons from the bible.

Other heroes were called in, like the newer guardians of the globe. But even they didn’t stand a chance against this demon, who was getting a little too close to civilization for the GDAs comfort.

As much as Cecil hates it, he knows he has to call you. You’ve never had any respect for the GDA, for the government, and had always insulted heroes to their face, calling them government bootlickers and the likes.

Cecil would have locked you away a while ago, if you weren’t so damn good at what you did. There was also the fact that he, and the magicians he had on hand, were pretty damn sure you could unleash hell itself on earth if you wanted, so they were cautious.

You also just happen to be kind of a dick, though mainly to Cecil. For some reason you’ve always gotten along well with Donald for a reason the GDA doesn’t understand. You just know he’s a great guy though, which is why you’ll treat him a little better.

So with great reluctance, since he knows youre gonna be rubbing this in his face and ribbing him, Cecil contacts you. He would most likely have to use some kind of spell or sigil, since there’s no way you’d share your number with this guy, or pick up if he called.

The guardians of the globe and Mark aren’t really sure what to expect when they hear Cecil sigh over their earpieces. He sounds more exhausted and agitated than any of them have ever made him, which says a lot.

Cecil barely gets to explain who you are before you swagger out of a portal in your trench coat and a to-go coffee cup in your hand with your preferred drink.

Immortal and Robot are probably the only ones who know who you are. Immortal cuz hes worked with you in the past, and Robot cuz he’s a creep that knows too much, and there’s no way he wouldn’t know about someone as powerful as you.

The heroes would already be over your shit, since you paid way too much for this drink to let it go to waste. So, you are gonna stand here, and you are gonna finish your drink, and then you are gonna help.

Mark must acknowledge that you are pretty hot, with your exhausted features and the tired but knowing look in your eyes. Its like you know exactly what you are looking at, and like you know exactly what to do.

The heroes get thrown around a bit more, just for your own humor and cuz you know they can take it. them yelling at you in frustration just makes you pick at your nails and sass them, telling them you came here out of the goodness of your heart, and you feel so attacked right now?

Its only when Mark crashes into the ground right beside you, and this cute traffic light yellow guy with cracked goggles and a bloody nose politely asks you to help that you decide, sure, why not. It’s also definitely because of the cute pout on his lips and the puppy eyes he’s giving you form the crater he’s in.

You give him what’s left of your too expensive drink, telling him some flirty comment about “watch and learn, invincible”. You make air quotes with your fingers when you use his hero name, since nobody is invincible, even viltrumites. You know this since you’ve stumbled across quite a lot of them in hell over the years.

His small blush is very cute though, which makes you decide to wrap this up real quick.

To none of Cecil’s surprise. You know this demon, and it owes you a pretty big favor. You don’t use your favor obviously, why would you do that? Theres better things to use a demons favor for. Instead, you just use a good chunk of spells, sigils, and other magic arts to cast them back to hell.

Cue some complaining from multiple members of the guardians of the globe. If you could do that from the very beginning, why did you keep watching them get thrown around like that?

As they complain and argue around you, you just swagger back to where Mark was sitting cutely and sipping on your drink. It shouldn’t shock you a guy like him likes whatever sweet monstrosity you bought. Fits his cute smile at least.

Immortal doesn’t even argue with you, knowing its like talking to a damn wall. Except the wall claps back, and will be petty enough not to help you next time.

It also doesn’t shock Cecil when you ask Mark out for lunch, since you’re a known flirt. You also may be a flirt, but you are damn loyal, so he can’t even say to Mark you’re a bad partner.

Marks eyes widen comically, sputtering around the drink he had been nursing when you just dropped that on him. His face goes bright red, since no one has ever actually asked him out, especially so boldly.

He fumbles for a bit, but he does end up stuttering out a yes. He doesn’t know you too well yet, and neither do you know him, but what could lunch together hurt? So he ends up clutching your number, and sigil, on a piece of paper in his hand, as you portal away again.

The place is still a damn mess from the demon’s rampage, but Mark feels extra weightless as he helps clean up, not even really paying attention to some of the others complaining about how you left without helping clean up.

okay now that ive posted that thing on my art acc im gonna talk about chimera vivian here for a minute bcus i brainrotted to a friend of mine last night but i think its good if my ttyd followers know about the au lore

(LONG POST AHEAD. BEWARE)

it takes place and begins right as the party is to fight gloomtail. the party is fatigued by then and , to their dismay, they can barely handle him. he is more powerful than expected. in an unexpected turn of events, gloomtail eats vivian. without her, the party simply cant continue. so they flee

and while the party has fled the palace, and trying to reconcile a plan, the shadow queen that was destined to awaken within the palace soon eventually arises and begins to wreck havoc while the party is recovering from their loss. though, she is still weak, so she remains in the shadow palace , working away at what she can while inside it.

once the party has the courage and willpower to return, they finally defeat gloomtail in an effort to retrieve vivian first, but. as expected. shes not completely there

unsure who would be the one to do it, but one of them definitely ends up needing to use a spell or a certain type of magic to bring her back, probably. perhaps they encounter a friend who can use certain spells, like what theyd need. that will reverse stuff like. say. a friend getting killed and eaten by an actual dragon (time reversal magic ... ? much to think about ..)

of course it would go as expected; weird and massively backfire, because vivian is not your normal everyday individual, and neither is this dragon, both technically being under the shadow queens influence (in vivian's case, she is, a shadow. so inherently related to the shadow queen whether she likes it or not)

and then of course once ""vivian"" gets revived, its obviously not her. the party is super conflicted, and unsure what to do, so they once again flee, after just letting her do her thing for a bit (and accidentally kill many people in the process) as they are quite dazed . so is vivian, to be fair

once she finds the queen, vivian is luckily not as friendly to the shadow queen as falin is to thistle

even though she knows shes meant to follow under the queen and obey her every order, she also knows something is wrong. but since she isnt completely herself, and cant nessesarily think for herself, she cant make use of this anxiety. so she just tries to avoid the shadow queen when she can; unfortunately the shadow queen likes to use her as a sort of. large display pet/guard dog. chimera vivian is basically a giant ball of anxiety and sadness and confusion that sometimes manifests as blind rage.

her relationship with gloomtail during this whole ordeal is also very difficult and different, i think

instead of being kind and understanding in the way that falin is, vivian is scared and confused, and eventually lets her anger out at gloomtail, making him feel guilty the longer they stay connected. hes upset that they had killed hooktail, but he specifically starts feeling guilty bcus vivian technically didint do anything + shes also a shadow. so he accidentally did some overbearing friendly fire, even if vivian was working with mario at the time he ate her. oopsie

the way they change vivian back to normal? once they defeat the shadow queen she turns back. because shes sealed away, all the magic she cast on the world fades, as her influence is no longer thriving

majority of the au is just essentially the party trying to find those who can help them with their "needing those who can revive and manipulate dead people" problems . though once they do find them it wont be over

they wont be able to free vivian from gloomtail until the shadow queen is defeated, so they have to find a way to free vivian from the queen's influence first, and hopefully help her regain her memory in the process, so they can use her against the queen and have her on their side again .

they fight a lot but its never like cassidy and charlie. if cassidy fought with evan like she fought with charlie itd ruin both of them.

Summary: The public reacts to the violent vigilante group and their attack on a beloved Hero

Word Count: 1365

BREAKING NEWS: Vigilante group ‘Phantom’ attacks and injures pro hero. The Hero Commission is now labeling the group as villains and are investigating links to the League of Villains. 

Early morning July 11th, the pro heroes Mt. Lady, Kamui Woods, and Death Arms, were confronted by the vigilante group, Phantom. The heroes valiantly fought the vigilantes, and even took down two members. However, due to the environment, they weren’t able to use their quirks to the fullest and so Phantom was able to get away. Only Death Arms was injured in this attack. 

This changes Phantom’s status from mere vigilantes to villains. The Hero Commission is still investigating possible ties to the League of Villains and Stain. They are instructing civilians to report any sightings of Phantom to a hotline dedicated to finding them and clear the area. The number is 555-666-777

“Damn it!” Tomura yelled as he slammed the laptop closed. There was a small cracking noise and he was pretty sure he broke it. He didn’t care though, it was cheap anyway. He wasn’t allowed an expensive computer due to his temper. This was his 4th one this month. Tomura picked it up and threw it at the wall, its parts making a satisfying noise on impact.

“Stupid Phantom!” He screamed. His nails dug into his neck and he scratched and scratched.

“God, how pathetic,” groaned Dabi a few seats away from him. He was sitting at the bar drinking a clear liquid with a blue flame. 

He was one of the new recruits that was forced onto the League. Tomura didn’t like him one bit. He had bad manners and smelled bad too. He had done nothing but complain since he got here. He looked at everything like it was beneath him or was trash, even though he looked like a wet cigarette himself. 

“I don’t know, I think they’re pretty cool!” Toga, another new recruit, was sitting on the couch upside down playing with her knife. “Are they really a part of the League? When are they coming over? I wanna play with them!” She giggled. 

Of course she was a fan girl. She was obsessed with Stain when she first came in, but the few hours since then she seemed to have refocused her attention onto Phantom. The whole world was doing that. Each passing day, more and more is online about this mysterious Phantom. He wouldn’t be so mysterious if he was dead. The Hosu incident happened 2 weeks ago but it was as if it never happened. Everyone was gushing over Stain and Phantom. 

“I doubt it,” Dabi sat back in his chair, looking annoyed, “If they were, they would’ve come back here after they beat those heroes. Damn, I wish they would go after Endeavor next. If anything, I want him to boast on live television that he beat up a kid for the sake of justice.”

God, everything he said he sounded like he was whining. If Tomura didn’t know his age, he would think Dabi was some moody teenager going through an emo phase. That’s such an NPC character design. 

“I’m sick of hearing about Phantom! That’s all everyone talks about is Phantom! Phantom! Phantom!” Tomura banged the bar with his fist. 

“Let's go hunt them down then!” Toga got up from her position, her face red from all the blood flow returning. “Come on, it will be fun! We can chase after each one and drag them back to the league before they even knew what happened! They can’t be that strong! They only took down one hero when there was five of them!” 

Tomura glared at her. If her personality wasn’t enough, what she said reminded him of All For One’s orders. As if he let that brat anywhere near the League. 

“No chance in hell!” Tomura yelled back. 

“Aww…” Toga pouted.

“I think that sounds like a great idea,” Dabi got up and walked next to Toga. “If we drag them back here, I bet we could make them join our cause. I mean, some poor kids who only wanted to become a hero gets outcasted and attacked by the very people they look up to? I think that’s a story we all can relate to.” 

Toga nodded aggressively and stared at Tomura. She tried to look cute as if that would be able to change his mind. It made him sick. 

“You can do what you want, I’m going out,” Tomura pushed past them and grabbed his sweat-jacket. 

“You’re no fun,” Toga stuck out her tongue at him. Tomura wanted to pull it out of her mouth. 

“Are you sure that is wise, Shigaraki?” Kurogiri appeared behind the bar as if he’d been there the whole time. 

He was probably with All For One or that doctor. Tomura knew he was reporting his behavior to them when he thought he wasn’t looking. He hated them. All For One had been grooming him for all these years but he still didn’t think Tomura could be left unsupervised. He wasn’t a baby anymore, he didn’t need to be monitored like this. 

“Go screw yourself,” he walked out the door waving his middle finger as a goodbye. 

He just needed to blow off steam. His mind wandered off to Phantom and the stupid merch at the mall. A sickly smile spread to his face. He knew just the place.

I have to agree on the closet scene, that was fucking beautiful, I'm a sucker for chase scenes. And though it saddens me that we don't get to see clearer shots of them, I understand it's a production choice.

I don't know if you're going to have a lot of luck with leashes, or maybe you will, I bet it mostly depends on their temper.

I also like to think, although this has no scientific basis, that the mimics may enter a heat after they transform into an elder mimic (or the alternative route)- Because that might be their peak physical form, aka the state in which they're likely to attract more mates. And if there aren't any other mimics around, then chances might be high that the elder will snatch his little human up, given there's a lot of visual and behavioral compatibility. It's a good concept, in my eyes.

With all those roots, I have to agree that the Host is probably a touchy one. But you can make this scenario a whole lot more horrifying if you consider how clingy these beings may be. Putting hunting practices aside, I can imagine Hosts get lonely. Bored. And they wouldn't want their pretty human away for too long, right? Because what are you up to then? Moving expends quite a bit of energy, so why won't you just stay still next to him and be good? There's definitely always the threat of spores, which they'll probably use to keep their little bait-human compliant.

I didn't mention the monoliths, not from lack of interest, but mostly because we have so little to work with. Plus, they kind of look like stick men with very undefined bodies. I'm not shitting on the author/artist, they're talented, I just don't have a clear idea of what to do with monoliths yet. Imagine one of them was just ripped, like shredded. Lmao.

Trimmings remind me of hairless cats, I would also like to keep one. You could probably train one to alert you to the presence of mimics or other, more nefarious types of carnis. Plus, they're not that hard to feed. Good pets!

dwd is an au where instead of being picked to become the prime defenders, all 3 of them (and later ashe) are kept in/sent to deadwood so WATCH doesnt have to worry about them, because theyre... a lot weirder

FYI - obviously this all takes place in deadwood, so im leaning a LOT into my own personal speculation and headcanons here. powers have also been toned down because i cant imagine a world with their current powers where theyd be hidden away no matter what this au version of WATCH thinks

william is a lot more dead from the outset, but not as bad as he is at current canon. he also has much less control over his powers and doesnt have ghostshaping. right before dakota and vyncent transfer, one of his best friends cory was reported to WATCH as having powers and because of this, his ghost hunting crew of the unwitness protection program have been reluctant to get up to their usual "fun". also theres definitely still monster attacks but theyre a lt less intense than they seemed to be in canon so nobody really connects the dots

dakotas also more dead!! well not really. but he is Very Aware he was dead for a bit, and WATCH is also very aware. he still had his martial arts training, and turned himself in to WATCH hoping he'd be sent to one of their training programs and get to be a real hero. but uh. WATCH had.. different ideas. and what better use for this kid with very clearly superntural shit going on than as a guide for this OTHER kid with supernatural shit that theyve been desperately trying to deal with!

vyncent is just trying his fucking best here. this version of fauna was a lot more "vengeful spirits" than dragons, and instead of the greats being confined to vyncents head he can see them as spirits and they can possess him, though hes still the only one who can hear them otherwise. WATCH had no fucking idea what to do with him, since they couldnt just toss this guy who doesnt even know what a phone is into deadwood (their favourite dumping ground for things hey dont want to worry about) alone. enter dakota!

when vyncent and dakota move to deadwood, theyre pretty much just.. given an apartment, money, the timetable for the school bus and very little else. however!! WATCH did the bare minimum and sends tide out to check on them every couple weeks or so. officially hes just there for a day to make sure theyre both still nebulusly alive and give them what money they need, check on their powers, that stuff. but unofficially he and dakota still manage to have their father-son dynamic but its a lot fucking funnier when they only see eachother once or twice a month and tide is banned from speaking with them unless its an emergency

"how do they meet?" i hear you ask. well. as far as WILLIAM knows, it was on his first day back after everyone got over him disappearing into the woods for a week and let him go to school again. but in reality he ran into them when he was still trying to get home post cliffdiving incident, looking like he just got mauled, and yelled at them for being in the woods because its dangerous before stumbling off in what was honestly . probably the wrong way. dakota doesnt realise it was william when he sees him in school and vyncent is honestly kinda intimidated by it and also is partially convinced william is some sort of spirit which. he isnt wrong. but he isnt fully right either. or a wereworld, because thats funny. but he isnt sure if theyre real in this world so he doesnt ask. he tries to ask dakota but all dakota knows about deadwood is "its weird" so he just says Yeah probably! and moves the fuck on

ashe is in this too!! since theres no pd in this au, nobody raided harttowa to capture wavelength until much later. while WATCH does still crack down on the operation, he has enough time to get the hell out of there with ashe. but since ashe never becomes friends with them, he gets a LOT riskier with his book and has An Incident. at this point, with watch AND overlord on his ass and his kid running the risk of dying or killing a lot of other people, he decides to move them to the only place too weird for heroes to go: deadwood! ashe is one of the only people who can safely go into the woods without getting horribly killed or changed, likely bc of the books protection. he'd meet william for the first time trying to figure out what the hell is going on, because of course he didnt ask if its ok to go into the haunted fucking woods, and william has to fucking bodily drag him out while explaining all the horrible death that happens there before realising OMG NEW WOODS FRIEND and begins assimilating her into the group

as for plot. um. ask me later. KIDDING ok but im only in the beginnings of one of those. this au is less mnm and more toned down call of cthulu, since thats what deadwood has been compared to a couple times before. mal and the spirit world still feature, but theres a lot more focus on trying to unravel the mysteries of this town and the woods around it while trying not to die or go insane or die worse

Another sad vent abt a dog that used to be mine that now belongs to my exes

I really miss Sadie. I miss her soft fur and her kisses and her comfort. I need her more now then ever but now there's a huge void where she should be and I'm never going to fucking see her again.

I trust her with them at least bc they treat animals better than they treated me so. There's that.

A reason why I kept talking to them and was afraid to break off the "friendship" with them is bc I was preparing to get her back. I thought that after my fiancé's dog that attacks other female dogs, Valentine, passed from her cancer I'd be able to finally have her back but then they cut me off around the time she passed.

Another thing is I would've probably have to send someone else to pick her up bc I can't be around them. I already fear going out in public and barely leave the house bc I'm afraid of the chance of running into them bc I live relatively close to where they live. Ik that if I ever see them I'll have a public breakdown and I really don't want to give them that satisfaction or let them have control over me like that.

I also don't want to fight bc im terrified of them and know that at this point she's legally theirs and theyd probably fight to keep her out of spite.

I miss her so fucking badly every day and I feel. So guilty that I've never had the chance to take her back until right before shit hit the fan.

Will susie and magolor ever end up as friends after back to zero? I think she probably needs to work on herself as well, along with realizing that obsessively trying to continue her father's legacy isn't the healthiest mindset

She did so much shit. I dont think Mags would ever forgive her. And I wouldnt, either.

She helped destroy an entire planet — an entire people. An entire culture. An entire history. Wiped away from the charts.

And shes still proud of it. She still thinks that what she was doing was right. It very reasonably makes Magolor upset and angry towards her. No one knew how deep it went until Mags started openly talking more about it.

Isnt it odd that there was literally no Halcandrans left? Youd think, that during the Mechanization war, theyd have sent some of their kind away, make sure the species survives. But no. The Haltmanns chased after them. They saw some sort of value from each and ever single one of them…its probably that sleeping magic power that theyve been suppressing/ignoring for generations. The Haltmanns…harvested that power? And then mechanized them. “Improved” them. (I havent finished Robobot, but isnt that what Susie does to Meta?) Set them back on Halcandra to catch more of their kin, harvest resources, and take important relics back to the Access Arc. Which the Haltmanns keep — obviously not out of respect for the culture that made said relics, but for the powers they hold.

Everyone knows Halcandra for its miraculous technology. Thats all that survived of it, after the Haltmanns were done with their invasion (which Susie calls a failure because a certain magician interfered with the plans and blew the planet to smithereens “before it was ready”). Thats the only thing the Haltmanns told about it. The only items that survived the invasion. The culture itself: the arts, the philosophies, the intimate, every day lives of the people, the language…all those intangible things. Gone.

(Theres more about the Ancients regarding these, than the Halcandrans. Its a near-full cultural wipe. The tech and ruins of other settlements can be found scattered all over the galaxy, but most are from a different age. Far from the culture that used to live on the planet itself. And well…most of the planet’s been blown up, and the mechanization process kind of buried many of the culturally important structures; old and new.)

“A shame that such technology was developed by barbarians. Oh well. Our technology was able to surpass theirs. Perhaps we should be the ones remembered for creating miraculous technology, instead of them.”

Its a sentiment that Susie still believes in. She still thinks that everyone is a lower life-form. Kind of like her father. But while her father saw everything as a means to profit, she (does too, but its second to— ) uses the business to “improve lives”. Improve lives according to her standards. She thinks she knows whats best for these lower life-forms. Shes helping them! If only theyd stop fighting back!

Halcandra’s culture survives on the lone mage. And after him, no one will follow. It causes Magolor great pain to think about how hes at the end of an entire race’s lifetime. (He doesnt want to have his own kits. He admits that hes not father material. What he wants are other Halcandrans to continue living the culture hes preserving/living out.)

He sees Popstar and all the other planets…he wishes that the Halcandrans were still around. Theyd enjoy sights like these. The songs that wouldve been made, the tapestries that wouldve been weaved…

It doesnt mean that a culture was heavily remembered for its tech means that thats all they had.

Mags, probably after Back to Zero, would focus on recording and teaching everyone about Halcandra. After…all those threats to his life, hes thinking of legacy. A way to be remembered — not just for him, but his entire culture.

He does not want everyone to forget about Halcandra the way he knows it.

And Susie?

Shes doing everything she can to stop him. Because its seriously ruining her already shaky reputation. Bad for business.

(Man, going to have to mess with the timeline a bit after this. Make Mags old enough to have remembered things before the fall. Maybe Halcandrans age slowly? Kind of like what Meta’s species does?

Note, legends of Halcandra already existed even before the invasion; of its previous ages. The only things told about the “current” Halcandra are told by the Haltmanns. No one knew how it was destroyed until way, way later, with the appearance of Magolor in Dreamland.
