idk how I feel about the lairy ship... On one hand I want to hate it since 1- what the fuck?? and 2 they would never in canon. Ok maybe on Airy’s end but Liam would never entertain the thought. On the other hand tho, canon relationships have never stopped me from shipping characters in the past so why should it now?

The lairy ship could never be fluffy to me, there’s too much gross baggage that can’t be ignored. Airy is literally his kidnapper. We can’t ignore that, and should we to begin with? It can be worked with in an intriguing way! Airy finally having company after god knows how long, having to navigate feelings of attachment to “his favourite contestant” who hates his guts... Him not realising that he’s hated... Liam having to deal with that alongside trying to get them off of the plane.... Him getting more and more annoyed with Airy’s shit..... It’s just so stockholm-ly...

I’m a manwhore for darkfics and fucked up ships so that’s really the only way I can see it. The Lairy ship cannot be cute to me tho. Airy yes, but lairy? No.

I'm really trying to pull myself out of defaulting to ungendered, all-black everything. (which isn't doesn't inherently have a negative value judgement!) I just...I really packed away my vulnerability in being colorful and playing with clothes in a presentation-expansive way when I stopped identifying as a binary trans woman years ago and it's been increasingly stiffling. the only color I'd allow myself was like a punch if accent color or my hair being loud and bright.

I think there was also a strict adherence to what punk (a subculture I really love and take a lot of inspiration from) looked like and what clothes represented in terms of armor I donned every day to protect myself from the hurt of being misgendered or judged.

but it's time to move and change and grow and embrace more than only black on black and being untouchably tough.

As the title says, I have my own system of when I declare "done!" and post a story. But thinking about it made me curious how other people deal with it. So here goes...

Well, since I haven't had the time to actually make the projects I mentioned in my last post, I decided to model and render them in Solidworks (because when you have a hammer, everything is a nail).

That way not only I get the plans for them, I also get a nice animation to showcase them (and an excuse to procrastate my studies).
