Amadeus: A Riddle for Thee is a hand-drawn narrative game heavily inspired by Umineko When They Cry thematically, and Professor Layton aesthetically. Gameplay is a blend of pure Visual Novel scenes + Point-and-Click Adventure scenes. The story is linear, and will be told in 5 sequential episodes.
Episode 1 ~ Waltz will release Fall 2024. Please check out the demo in the meantime, and Wishlist on Steam to be notified when the full game releases!
meeting up after work for tea and coffee <3
that wraps up layclaire week!! so fun, im super tired now asjdfhsd because I never finish up all the drawings before hand like I plan to, but these two make me so sappy it's worth it hehe
I got accepted into art school! The professional who looked at my work said the poster looked very good, so yeah, here you get the sketches I've made before doing the actual work along some composition try
Before the Level 5 vision comes out (soon, hopefully), what are some of the things you want the most in NWOS? A specific character, a plot-point you think would be neat, etc etc. Even the tiny things or the things you think are unlikely
I finally re-taught myself how to knit and clearly a few tension squares is more than enough practice for me to knit an entire jumper as my first proper knitting project
I’ve been playing a lot of Professor Layton recently and wanted to do something related to that and I figured what better way to test my knitting skills, and give myself a ready-to-go cosplay, than by attempting to knit Luke’s jumper
So, after finding a beautifully soft blue yarn that’s roughly the right shade (it’s a bit too light but it’ll do) (it’s also probably the most expensive yarn I now own but hey) and acquiring the right sized needles (and then promptly realising that 3.5mm acrylic needles are bendy as shit but being too stubborn to buy some more and just going with it), I finally began.
Technically, in the official art, it doesn’t look like Luke’s jumper has ribbing anywhere other than around the neck but it’s my understanding that it makes for a neater and stronger hem if you rib it, so I decided to do ribbing for both the bottom and the sleeves (as and when I get to them). (Also quite a lot of fanart draws him as having ribbing around the bottom and the sleeves so hey)
Currently it’s been taking me about 30mins to complete one row so progress has been slow but here’s how we’re looking so far:
(The stitch markers are marking every 10 stitches so if I lose count I only have to recount 10 stitches rather than 135).
I reckon I’m just over halfway of where I want to be eventually. I’ve been trying to work out how much ribbing I want on the bottom hem coz obviously there isn’t any in the official art so should I make it smaller so I can tuck it under to hide it? But my shopbought jumpers tend to have about double this length ribbing and I quite like the length of that. Still foldable but a bit more secure. I can always undo it if I don’t like it.
My aim is about 12 rows of ribbing and Im either on 7 or 9 currently? (I keep counting 7 but I’m sure I’ve done 3 since I last counted and I remember that was 6 so). Tho honestly I’ll probably just go until I feel it’s long enough
