Had a brain blast while rewatching The Matrix. The character Cypher is LITERALLY a transmedicalist allegory, or something akin to a a grifter de-transitioner, maybe even people like Blair White.

He wants to go back into the matrix and abide by its rules because it was more comfortable for him. He became willing in his own oppression because he was tired of fighting. He realised what the real world was like and how it treats humans (trans people), and so he brings down the other humans set free from the matrix (again his trans comrades) by killing them.

Transphobic trans people can betray other trans people and force them to abide by the rigid set rules of the patriarchy, often times to protect themselves, which is incredibly selfish and short-sighted. It costs them in the long run by harming the very community they are part of, and in the end being targeted by the fascists they sucked up to.
