I'm so curious about your headcanons about Narvi and Vali (and honestly all the Loki's children!).

What do you think their personalities would be? Their likes and dislikes? If their spirits are stuck in the chains with Loki, can they do like their father and be in more than one place? If they are with Hel how is their relationship with their sister?

Alright here are my headcanons for them

•Depending on the AU i headcanon them as 10 or 13 at death.

(10 for the main and ToL AU and 13 for a Narvi went to valhalla AU another anons headcanon gave me inspo for)

I Can't speak on their personalities because i have not developed them enough outside of one AU and only Narvi. (And the circumstances on shaping his personality for that AU are very different then the other ones)

And in ToL AU they are in Helhiem (but for this lets just assume V+N stay in Helhiem after SoTD as well) they have a good relationship with Hel. It was a bit awkward at first because she'd never had kids living in her house (also they tried to fight Baldur but thats a story for a different day) and she didn't quite know what to do with them but they slowly got used to eachother.

And in the Valhalla AU Vali' has the same relationship with Hel but 's relationship with Hel stays the same but Narvi and Hel haven't met in person tho Narvi prays to her alongside Loki and Sigyn regularly

Headcanons for all my AUs (mostly appearance based)

•Vali was born with a forked tongue, Narvi wasn't but the moment he learned to shapeshift he gave himself a forked tongue to be like his twin.

They are fraternal not identical twins. Vali has curly red hair he got from Loki. Narvi has dark brown almost black straight hair he got from Sigyn. Both have amber eyes.

Loki told them that he'd be back in an hour before he went off to kill Baldur...

Yeah we all know how that turned out. I blame this song for this headcanon and the stuck in the chains headcanon. Cus it is such a them song to me

Main AU and (mostly) ToL AU headcanons

•It's kinda hard to explain how Narvi and Vali are when trapped in the chains but basically they are aware and not aware at the same time. Some days they can get a vague feel and visions of whats going on around them and talk to eachother, some days they are in a sleep like state.

(I wasn't thinking of either medias when making that up but it reminds me of the game Amanda the adventurer and the ghost kids from Coraline)

•They can project themselves on the aware days like Loki can but only in dreams and very rarely, and not for very long cus the are/were young

(i have a oneshot of them talking to Samirah through a dream and she is so fucking confused and low-key (ha) scared because she has no clue who they are)

•On the days they are aware they are absolutely enamoured by Magnus and he has no clue of their (continued) existence.

(They think he's just an interesting, funky little guy)

It's unknown if Loki and Sigyn are aware that their sons are basically suffering with them

(in other words I cant decide which one is more angsty)

They got released at the end of Hammer of Thor when the chains were cut. It is unknown what's gonna happen to them after Ship of the Dead since the Aesir are rechaining Loki

(also because I can't tell which one would be angstier)

Valhalla! Narvi AU

Not many headcanons for this one cus its new and based off another Anon's headcanon but:

Narvi and Vali died at 13 but while Vali got put in Helhiem. Narvi got sent to Valhalla.

Narvi was like Alex when she first got to Valhalla but a lot worse...Like alot...and that anger still has not faded after fuck knows how long.

Horror stories and rumours are still told to new Valkyries about him.

One of those rumors is that how no one saw his Valkyrie again after taking him. (This is in reality false. She just quit after he ripped part of her hair out but he continues this rumor for funsies.)

Technically he should be on floor19 like the main gang but got moved on the top floor away from everyone after too many people complained.

He rarely comes out of his room and when he does it is usually an absoulute blood bath. Because he fights like a beast.

Litterally the only person he has tolerated and respects in valhalla is Snorri Sturluson.

why? Because thats the guy who wrote Prose Edda and Narvi is still a thirteen year old boy who loves the idea of being 'famous' and written about even if its about his death.

Is fine with Alex but hates Samirah with a burning passion. Because she's a Valkyrie and he sees that as her being a traitor to their family and won't listen otherwise.

About Me:

I’ve had quite a few new followers these past few weeks, so I thought I would make a little about me post, just so you all know what you’re getting into.

First off, hello! My name is Madison (she/her), I’m 19 (will be 20 in January which is. . . something I’m not thinking about at the moment), I’m bisexual, extremely liberal (racists, misogynists, homophobes, transphobes, etc. can fuck off and die), and I live in Saskatchewan, Canada. My favourite thing in the world to do is write, and I love to read as well.

Favourite Characters: Natasha Romanoff, Loki Laufeyson, Bucky Barnes, Wanda Maximoff, Kate Bishop, Jennifer Walters, Steve Rogers, Carol Danvers, Sylvie, Marc Spector, Valkyrie, Peggy Carter, Yelena Belova, and many, many more.

I love every movie and TV show (to varying degrees, but nonetheless) but my favourite movies are Endgame, Infinity War, No Way Home, Eternals, Winter Soldier, Captain Marvel, Black Widow, Ragnarok (not necessarily in that order), and my favourite shows are Moon Knight, She-Hulk, Loki, Werewolf by Night, Hawkeye (not necessarily in that order)

I also very casually read Marvel comics (just a few here and there whenever I find some that pique my interest)

DC

Admittedly, not nearly as much as Marvel. There isn’t a lot of emotional attachment. Honestly it’s bordering on contempt at this point, especially after spending money to go see The Flash in theatres

But I love The Batman, Wonder Woman, The Suicide Squad, Peacemaker, the Dark Knight trilogy, Harley Quinn, and Batman (1989). I am cautiously excited for many of their upcoming projects under James Gunn’s leadership

Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow is my all-time favourite comic book and honestly just one of my favourite books of all time. It’s truly a beautiful work of art.

Lord of the Rings

I’ve seen all three movies and 2/3 Hobbit movies, and I’ve read Fellowship of the Ring (planning on getting to the other two soon). I also watched and absolutely adored The Rings of Power.

My favourite characters are Éowyn and Aragorn, but I love Merry, Pippin, Legolas, and Gimli too. And Galadriel, Elrond, Durin, Elendil, Miriel, and Halbrand in TRoP

I’m admittedly not the most well-versed in LOTR, but I do really enjoy it.

A Song of Ice and Fire/Game of Thrones:

Don’t even get me started on those goddamn shows. Seasons 7 and 8 of GoT and HoTD infuriate me on a daily basis but goddamn it I love this world so much. Westeros is so important to me

i think that loki is the exact opposite of the person he projects that he is, like many of us are. he tried to project who he thinks people want him to be and for this reason i believe he is a infj-t on the mayers briggs personality types. here’s more reasoning:

Introverted versus Extroverted: this one doesn’t need much explaining. loki seems to have a tendency to want to be alone when in large groups of people (see the arena scene, thor v. hulk) and he’s realest self is shown when he has one on one convos with thor. he also seems to have a tendency to feel drawn to more meaningful interactions versus meaningless/frivolous conversations (this i think could be a result of being frigga’s child lol)

iNtuitive versus obServant: i feel like that since magic needs creativity he would be an intuitive thinker. i don’t think he thinks rationally and is always looking to the bigger picture or beyond the horizon, thus the “glorious purpose” that he was trying to achieve in the avengers. he is continuously focusing on what his future will be, on what he can be, on how he can impress his family, and it’s rarely ever on the here and now. another example would be when he was talking to thor in the circular cell on sakar and he was talking about when the grand master WILL fall, not on how to get thor out of there in that moment.

Thinking versus Feeling: some could say that he is more of a thinking because he can focus on facts and logic but i think he is more of a feeling. i think that he does appear to be heartless when he never really has been. he makes most decisions based off of his feelings. usually when he made a decision in the earlier movies it was because he felt betrayed or didn’t want to let down his mother. he does have a tendency to let his feelings control his actions.

Judging versus Prospecting: loki is more judging because of the fact that he plans things out very well. he focuses on having multiple plans than coming up with things as they go. he is a mastermind and though he can let his emotions control those choices, he plans out his moves very well. this is also why he can come across as rigid or stubborn at times (see his interactions with valkyrie in ragnarok or how he treated thor continuously)

Assertive versus Turbulent: you could say loki is assertive because of his self-confidence or lack of second guessing himself, but i think all of that is a projection of who he wants others to see. in reality, he is a perfectionist, dwells on the past, and is success driven. he tries to ease his self doubts by being perfect or achieving new things. he has a tendency to focus on regrets or criticisms.

A Kalpas x Reader angst fic, chapter 3 below!

“So your name is Kalpas?” You asked while installing the second projector. There was a low hum in response that you took as a ‘yes.’ “And you’re a sim?” Another hum, this one slightly more annoyed. “And you live here with other sims?” This hum was closer to a growl, so you decided not to press any further. When you returned to the terminal screen to activate the new projector, you found a file open titled ‘The Elysian Realm.’ Scanning through it briefly, you found the answers to the questions you’d just asked along with much more helpful information.

“Why were you the one I had to fix first? Vill-V has been way more help. All you do is stand there and brood and complain that I take too long.” Kalpas was silent at the end of your rant, and for a second, you thought you might have offended him. When you looked up from what you had been reading, you found him already sending you his usual glare, assuring you that he was no more annoyed than he always was. Rolling your eyes for at least the fifth time today, you returned to the words before you.

As it turned out, Kalpas was one of thirteen Flame Chasers, soldiers for an organization called Fire Moth; hence why their logo was plastered everywhere. Kevin, your boss’ boss, was somehow a Flame Chaser as well? Maybe this was some fantasy world of his. All the people listed were from the previous era, it seemed odd that the sire of World Serpent would have been alive fifty thousand years ago.

Skimming over that fact for a moment, you continued to read and found that the place was built as some sort of archive for the Flame Chasers, as well as offer a challenge to Valkyries of the current era. There was another room you hadn’t seen yet that served as the battlegrounds. The whole space was holographic, meaning that the scenery and enemies were entirely virtual, though they hardly seemed like it.

Forty pages later, you felt even more confused, despite having much more information. Only the names you had seen before were listed as being Flame Chasers, so while you knew there were thirteen total, only Aponia, Kevin, Vill-V, and Kalpas were visible on the list. Apart from battling Honkai, you knew very little about Fire Moth or it’s projects. Repeatedly, the document suggested talking to one of the sims if you wanted clarification, though which sim knew what you wanted, or was willing to share it with you was not very apparent.

Knowing Kalpas had been irritated at simply giving his name, you somehow doubted he’d be particularly forthcoming on the info you wanted. Still, Vill-V and Aponia were hiding in the computer, and there was no way in hell you were talking to Kevin about this, leaving you with only one option.

Before you had even opened your mouth, Kalpas was shooing you away. “Don’t even think about it, mechanic. I’m not in the mood.”

“Engineer. I got a whole ass degree, thank you,” you sent a glare that could rival his own. Then, mumbling to yourself, you headed back to the workshop and away from the suddenly very hot room.

“You have shit taste in music.”

“Don’t listen then,” you carefully soldered two wires together, not looking up. Over time, the workshop had become more and more your own space, tools laid where you’d remember, and parts sorted the way you were used to. Seven of the projectors were working now and apparently Kalpas could now move close enough to hear the speaker you’d set up and complain about it—though it was rare he wasn’t complaining about something.

“Find something better,” he snapped back.

“Sorry. I don’t have any ‘Previous Era Songs to Rip and Tear to.’ You’ll have to settle for this, or nothing.” If you weren’t outside the projector’s range, you might not have been so snarky with your response, but as it stands, Kalpas couldn’t’ even make it up the stairs to the shop. He stood at the base, shouting up at you who was safe from both his flames and glare. Without the threat of those, you could be as sassy as you pleased.

You were barely able to make out a grumble, but the stomps leading away from where you worked were clearly audible and made you chuckle. Kalpas was probably off pouting now, but by the time you came down to grab lunch, he’d forget all about what had just happened. Aponia may not speak to you anymore, but she’d turn off the lights in the shop, or send a few electric shocks your way if you spent too long in the Realm.

As you’d predicted, when lunch rolled around, Kalpas was back to normal levels of annoyed, and no longer pouting—at least as far as you could tell. “Where are you going?” He sounded like a parent scolding their child for being out past curfew. Letting out a huff, you told him you were just getting food. This didn’t seem to do much to convince the nearby flames to go down, but Kalpas made no move to stop you from leaving.

Soon after, you came back carrying a tray full of food, fork hanging out of your mouth. “Cafeteria’s full,” you explained and sat down on the couch. For having been there long past its warranty, the long couch that lined part of the wall was surprisingly comfortable. “Do you have any friends in the Flame Chasers?” you broke the silence, hoping to have some sort of conversation while you ate rather than just having Kalpas watch you with that burning gaze of his.

“Sakura,” he leaned back into the couch and fixed his eyes straight ahead.

“Tell me about them?”

“No.” The word was stern but not sharp. He wouldn’t budge on the matter, but you also hadn’t upset him with the question. Humming around your for, you tried to come up with a new topic, but Kalpas beat you to it.

“You fight?”

“A bit,” you shrugged. “Well enough to stay alive and pass basic training, but not enough to become a Valkyrie.”

“Spar with me,” your company stood and gave you a fierce look while waiting for you to stand as well.

“Are you kidding?” you snorted and shook your head. “I don’t even qualify as an A-rank. You’re genetically modified and have way more experience.” Turning your fork over, you pointed it at him for a moment before angrily stabbing your food.

“Too much of a coward to fight me?” The taunt in his voice was obvious as was his confidence.

“No, I just don’t have a death wish.”

“Pathetic.”

“Will you leave me alone if I fix your stupid training room?” You groaned and focused on finishing your food so you could go back to peacefully ignoring Kalpas.

“Fighting mindless Honkai isn’t the same as defeating you.”

“It’s not,” you stood and placed your tray on the table near the door. “But I can’t repair the Elysian Ream if you break all my bones.”

“Who said anything about breaking bones?” Kalpas grinned and you could hear it through his mask. Hiding a shudder, you turned and began heading towards the workshop, pretending you couldn't feel the glare burning into your back.

You only had a few more minutes before Aponia would kick you out for the night, but this latest unit was nearly done, so you were trying to finish it before that happened. Blindly reaching for the screwdriver that you had left on the table next to you, your hands met the surface a couple times before you gave in and looked to try and find the tool. Except, of course it wasn’t there. Used to your coworkers coming by and taking things you needed, a frown formed on your face and your head immediately whipped around to find the culprit.

In a room with only one other person, it should have been obvious, yet you still were angry to find Kalpas holding your screwdriver and spinning it in his hand like it was a knife. The skill with which his fingers moved was no doubt impressive, but that didn’t stop you from furrowing your brows and sending a deadly glare. He had a knife! A very real, very sharp knife, right there on his thigh! Why did he need to take your tools and pretend they were something he already had?

“That’s not a weapon,” you grumbled, still glaring. Kalpas stopped moving, holding the screwdriver in his hand parallel to the ground as though looking down a blade. Slowly his gaze dropped to meet yours. Without being able to see it, you knew he was raising an eyebrow.

“It’s not meant to be a weapon,” you corrected.

“Ok.” Kalpas didn’t move.

“And…” You took a deep breath. Weapon or not, in his hands, that screwdriver could easily spell your end, and you weren’t exactly in the mood right now. “I need that for my repairs, so can I have it back please?” Hesitantly, you reached your hand out, wanting the tool, but also not wanting to be within stabbing range. Kalpas only stared at you, his grip on the handle tightening for a second, causing the leather in his glove to creak.

Right when you were about to give up and grab a different screwdriver (there were close to fifty of the same kind in the workshop) you got yours back. In less than a second, Kalpas flipped the tool so he was holding it by the other end, then firmly dropped the handle into your palm. The sudden movement caused you to flinch away instinctively, and the deep chuckle you heard made it obvious, he knew what he had just done. Still, you held on to the handle, and pulled away with the screwdriver, turning back to your work with your shoulders raised up to your ears.

Bringing your lunch back to the Elysian Realm to eat with Kalpas had become a regular occurrence. Sometimes—most times—he wouldn’t talk to you, and you’d either sit in silence, or continue working while he watched you. Sometimes—very rarely—there would be what could almost be considered a conversation between the two of you. Asking questions usually got you nothing, small talk usually got you nothing, and arguing always got you nothing.

“Isn’t it your job to answer questions about this place?” Your attempts had once again been shot down and you were beginning to consider giving up learning anything about the place until someone new arrived. There’s no way they’re as difficult to deal with as who you were working with now.

“You’re cleaning up the mess left by the last person who got the answers they wanted.” Kalpas didn’t sound angry for once, but he certainly wasn’t laid back. His tone held a tenseness that had you on edge, even though you didn’t fully understand what he was referring to.

“The last successor?” you questioned around a bite of food. Unsurprisingly, Kalpas didn’t answer, his silence giving you a chance to piece things together in your mind. “Was it Mei?”

“That Herrscher…” The words rumbled in his chest, and flames began to flicker around his head. Mei had come to World Serpent after you. The two of you hadn’t interacted at all, but rumors about here were unavoidable. Where she was disappearing off to, no one knew, but everyone knew she was going somewhere. It would make sense if the Elysian Realm had been her destination, given its original purpose, and her closeness to Kevin.

“When she left suddenly…I guess that’s when everything broke down.” You were speaking more to yourself than Kalpas now. He was still lost in his rage towards the girl at the moment, not hearing a word you said. “Her Herrscher powers easily could account for all the damage to the electrical system, but the software and files?”

“She brought another damn Herrscher with her.” The fires next to you grew, and Kalpas swore.

“The Herrscher of Corruption,” you whispered, taking a sharp breath through your nose when the flames erupted. Miraculously, the couch was unscathed, and your eyebrows intact, but Kalpas’ hair was tipped in embers and a trail of heat followed him as he angrily paced back and forth in front of you. Given the fierce reaction, you understood why he refused to answer questions now.

Moving carefully so as to not gain the attention of the walking fireball you now shared a room with, you stood from the couch and started for the safety of the workshop. It was an hour before the flames died down, another hour after that before the shouting stopped, and when you left for the night, Kalpas was still visibly tense.

Sera’s a first class SOLDIER with the rank of commander, she is the only female soldier. This is because she was a part of Project V (Project VARIANT/VALKYRIE), an attempt to create a female soldier with J cells modified to be accepted by her. 'Many characters come and go in Oppenheimer, and there are plenty of cameos that cause a major impression on the audience. More than just small characters who appear to say one or two lines, these characters are highly impactful to the story despite their brief screen time, and no better way to impact viewers than casting renowned movie stars to take over these roles.

Oppenheimer is one of Christopher Nolan's most ambitious projects and covers the real-life story of the controversial J. Robert Oppenheimer, the mastermind behind the creation of the atomic bomb. Following Oppenheimer from his younger years until the aftermath of World War II, the extensive set of characters and the powerful cameos add up to a rich, nuanced narrative around one of the world's most complex historical figures.

James D'Arcy as Patrick Blackett

James D'Arcy appears right at the beginning of the film as Patrick Blackett, a ruthless professor whom Oppenheimer attempted to poison during his academic years. Blackett was a renowned British experimental physicist, graced with a Nobel Prize in 1948 for his impressive discoveries in the field of cloud chamber research and cosmic radiation.

Despite his scandalous act at the beginning of the film, Oppenheimer appears to feel great admiration for Blackett when he reappears in the film some years later. D'Arcy is better known for his role in Cloud Atlas and previously appeared in another war movie from Nolan, Dunkirk.

Kenneth Branagh as Niels Bohr

Kenneth Branagh is a prolific director and veteran actor who starred in many of his own movies, including Hamlet and Henry V. Oppenheimer marks his third collaboration with Nolan as he takes over the role of Niels Bohr, a Danish physicist and Nobel Prize winner portrayed as an expert on atomic structure and quantum theory, therefore one of Oppenheimer's idols.

At the beginning of the film, Bohr and Oppenheimer meet at Cambridge and the physicist almost eats Blackett's poisoned apple. Bohr has another major cameo in the Christmas sequence set in Los Alamos, in which he advises Oppenheimer about the bomb, but claims he won't be assisting them in their tests.

Matthias Schweighöfer as Werner Heisenberg

Werner Heisenberg was one of the most brilliant minds of his time and planted a necessary seed of uncertainty in the physics field by coming up with pioneering theories around quantum mechanics. Since Heisenberg was a German, his genius turned him into a looming menace when World War II kicked off: in Oppenheimer, the Americans didn't know how cooperative Heisenberg would be towards the Nazis and the tension about building a bomb first was through the roof.

Matthias Schweighöfer plays Heisenberg when Oppenheimer meets him by chance in Göttingen; two brilliant men who immediately strike up a friendship before the war turned them into enemies. Schweighöfer is a German actor but stars also in American productions such as Army of the Dead and Valkyrie.

Casey Affleck as Boris Pash

Casey Affleck features one of Oppenheimer's most anxiety-inducing scenes as Boris Pash, an American military with a special dislike for communists. Oppenheimer briefly touches on Pash's turbulent background; the son of a Russian priest, he would join the White Army and fight against the Bolsheviks, becoming a hardcore anti-communist military in America.

In the film, Oppenheimer doesn't know anything about Pash when he's interrogated by him; on the other hand, Pash knows every detail of Oppenheimer's controversial file. The result is an unnerving face-off in which every word said could put those Oppenheimer swore to protect in danger, consequently sealing the fate of his dear friend Chevalier.

Rami Malek as David Hill

When Rami Malek first appears as David Hill, he seems to be just a clumsy academic trying to make a difference in the debate around the ethics of the atomic bomb, attempting to persuade Oppenheimer to sign his petition. Later in the film, Malek becomes an absolute scene-stealer when Hill takes a pivotal role in Strauss' Senate hearing, exposing the chairman's personal vendetta against Oppenheimer. In real life, Hill was an associate experimental physicist at the University of Chicago's Metallurgical Laboratory.

James Remar as Henry Stimson

James Remar plays Henry Stimson in Oppenheimer, the Secretary of War appointed by former President Franklin Roosevelt and the key player in the atomic bomb program at the end of World War II, advising President Truman to use it and directing the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombings.

He appears once in Oppenheimer in a scene that will definitely give rise to heated discussions: Stimson summons Oppenheimer, generals, and other influential war figures to discuss where's going to be the target of the atomic bomb, treating the subject with outrageous indifference and taking Kyoto off the list simply because it was the place he went with his wife for honeymoon.

Gary Oldman as Harry S. Truman

Although President Harry S. Truman is mentioned multiple times throughout Oppenheimer's 180 minutes, he only appears in person once, during a face-to-face meeting with Oppenheimer in the aftermath of the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombings. As Oppenheimer tries to explain the dangers of further uses of the atomic bomb, Truman dismisses his concerns and calls him a "crybaby" behind his back.

Truman is played by veteran actor Gary Oldman, and it isn't the first time the actor plays major historical figures in cinema: in JFK, he impersonated the infamous Lee Harvey Oswald, and in 2017, he played Winston Churchill in Darkest Hours, an iconic performance that earned him an Oscar, and also Herman Mankiewicz in Mank, the man who co-wrote Citizen Kane's screenplay.

David Dastmalchian as William L. Borden

David Dastmalchian makes a quick cameo as William L. Borden, an American lawyer and a former member of the United States Congress Joint Committee on Atomic Energy. In Oppenheimer, Borden unites forces with Lewis Strauss in an attempt to sabotage Oppenheimer's security clearance, holding the knife of a bureaucratic scheme by filing an extensive complaint against the father of the atomic bomb.

Alden Ehrenreich as Senate Aide to Lewis Strauss

Alden Ehrenreich gets his time to shine in Oppenheimer's third act, playing the role of a senate aide to Lewis Strauss. Through his conversation with Strauss, viewers finally learn that Strauss was the one pulling the strings of the scheme to destroy Oppenheimer's political influence. His position as senate aide prevents him from disclosing the truth to authorities, but his expression after Strauss' defeat says everything he thinks about the farse.

Tom Conti as Albert Einstein Tom Conti features the most important cameo in Nolan's epic historical drama, taking over the role of renowned scientist Albert Einstein. In the film, Einstein is already at the end of his career, contemplating the consequences of his legacy in a world shattered by another World War. Away from the action, he's merely an observer, and sometimes, a mentor, although he doesn't seem interested in being one.

Einstein appears in two of the film's pivotal moments: first when Oppenheimer comes looking for advice regarding a possible chain reaction that could ignite the atmosphere. Einstein's last appearance occurs when the two reunite in the aftermath of World War II, a moment replayed multiple times throughout the movie and seen from different perspectives; it's only in Oppenheimer's very last scene that viewers get to see what Oppenheimer says to Einstein that hurt him so deeply.'

1. If your WIP got made into a movie, which actors/actresses would you cast for your main characters?

I’ve never been real good at fancasting, tbh. Probably because I really don’t watch a lot of movies. BUT, I do have some faceclaims that I’ve found through pinterest and other sites?

2. What is a story you’d like to write, but don’t know how to yet tackle?

There are a couple of different ones, actually.

The first is one I’ve talked about before on Tumblr. It’s called Heart Eater. (It’s a temporary title.) It’s a lot darker than my usual stories, though, so I have no idea where to even start. Not to mention I don’t know what kind of genre or setting to use... 

The second is temporarily titled Guardians/Overmorrow. It’s more of a sci-fi/fantasy story, with both high technology and a little magic. Or a lot of magic. It was one of the first novel ideas that I came up with and stuck with, though I didn’t finish it. I would love to tackle it one day, but for the moment, I don’t have much for it! Nor much faith in my ability to tackle any of the science that would be involved xD

3. How do you deal with writer’s block?

Crying, begging, pleading, making sacrifices to the writing gods... 

I kid, I kid. 

I don’t really handle writer’s block all that well, tbh. But there are a couple of different things that (occasionally) work for me.

The first is just leaving the story alone. Focusing on something else, if it’s a specific story block, or just taking a break from writing all together. I’ll do things like read and play games instead. 

The second is to stop writing the story, but still do things related to it. Create playlists--none of which I really like well enough to share, tbh, but I’m working on it! Make moodboards/aesthetics, do character questionnaires, revisit the plot with new templates... You know. Whatever I can do that’s still relevant to what I’m writing but isn’t actually writing. Or is, in the case of modern AU’s/pre-series drabbles. (Usually I’m too blocked up even for those, though.) 

4. Coffee, hot chocolate, or tea?

All of the above!

I wish I could tell you I had a specific preference, but I really don’t. It switches up on me a lot. I CAN tell you that I’m picky about all of the above, though.

Tea I like to be sweet and a little spicy. I’m a big fan of Chai lattes, but I also have this lovely Warm Fireside tea that I ADORE. Sadly, they’ve discontinued it, though, so I’ll be hunting around again soon. *sigh* I also really enjoy sweet tea! But I like it *really* sweet. 

Coffee I like with creamer. A lot of creamer. Like, two thirds coffee, one third creamer. Lattes are amazing, tbh. I mostly prefer vanilla flavoring, but sometimes I’ll go for caramel...

Hot chocolate is probably what I’m least picky about, tbh. I’ll drink it by itself, but I like it best with a bit of peppermint. (I keep peppermint creamer on hand, but I also usually have mints in my purse I can drop in.)

5. Do you believe in the death of the author?

Yes.

I think that an author’s interpretation and intention are still relevant to a work, but I also believe in a fan’s ability to disregard those things and do it their own way. And I don’t think that the author should interfere with that. Conversely, I don’t believe that fandom has the right to control how an author continues their work.

In short, while fandom and author overlap in the middle, there should also be some separation--much like a venn diagram ;)

6. What is a trope that needs more love?

You know, my first impulse was to say “found family” but like. That one is everywhere lately. (I am NOT complaining. I just don’t think it’s in the spirit of the question to answer that way xD)

So I don’t really know specific “tropes” necessarily, and I’m not falling into the void that is TV tropes to answer, so I’m just going to list some things that I, personally, would like to see more of?

male/female friendships that don’t end in romance, pls. AND, if either has a significant other, that SO doesn’t get jealous every time they’re in the vicinity of each other.

healthy M/F ships!!! no unnecessary miscommunication or jealousy please!! unless that miscomm is used for non relationship-threatening humor.

characters that don’t end in relationships??? it feels like in a lot of mainstream fiction lately all the characters end up with someone. i love a good romance as much as anyone, but as an ace and possibly aro person (questioning, majorly) it’s also a little disappointing???

the power of FRIENDSHIP. this probably goes hand-in-hand with the found family, but like. friendship/platonic love being the most important thing to a person??? yes pls.

I’ll stop there ‘cause I think that’s enough, but those are a few things!! :D

7. What is your biggest inspiration?

This question is actually really hard for me, because I don’t KNOW. 

Part of me wants to just boil it down to life, to living every day and finding something new about the world/about myself. And that IS a good answer, and true as well, but it doesn’t feel quite... right.

I could tell you that I feel inspired every time I pick up a new book, or poem, or fanfic to read. I could tell you that I feel inspired every time I see a commercial for a movie or a TV show. I could tell you that history articles/magazines inspire me. I could tell you that hearing about different identities and cultures inspires me. I could tell you that I find inspiration everywhere, in everything, and that none of it would qualify as my “biggest” inspiration, because I get little bits from everywhere.

But that still doesn’t feel right either.

I feel like maybe I’m missing the point of the question. 

8. Let’s go on a little adventure: One day, you end up in the same world as your characters–or if they’re in ours, you end up with your characters in some way, shape or form. What do you do?

I’m going to assume that either they don’t know who I am or think of me as some scribe meant to tell their story, instead of the person who created it. (Which is how I think of myself sometimes, tbh.) Because otherwise I feel like they would probably be maybe a little mad at me.

So, first things first, I probably give Alinora and Aishlynn a hug. Well. Okay. I don’t hug them because neither of them would be super comfortable with that. (Alinora doesn’t mind, and even appreciates, hugs from people she knows, but not so much people she doesn’t. Aishlynn just isn’t big on hugs in general.)

And then I probably fangirl a little. 

Just a little.

I mean. These are my BABIES, and yes they’re flawed and have their weak spots but. They’re also so STRONG and HEROIC and GOOD and I just LOVE THEM. 

9. If you had a magical power, what would that power be?

Probably something like empathy. tbh, but I would WANT like... the ability to not have to sleep. Though I guess that would probably get boring after a while. 

10. What is a genre that you feel is underrated? What about overrated?

So, I feel like every genre has the potential to be done really well, and I think I could probably enjoy something from pretty much any of them. HOWEVER. Lately I’ve been a little... uninterested in a lot of mainstream YA fiction. Not all of it, necessarily, but a lot of it. It’s not that I think YA as a whole is overrated, because I don’t. But at the same time, I do?? I dunno. I wanna read more about older people??? Not full-on “adult” fiction, but y’know. New Adult. And while I don’t think NA is “underrated” specifically, I do wish they had an actual section for it in bookstores. 

11. Have you accomplished anything that you’re proud of?

Yes. I finished my very first novel around 17. (I might have actually been 16 and a half.) I still have yet to complete the second draft/full rewrite, but I’m still really proud of actually FINISHING it.

I’m also really proud of how far I’ve made it into THE MARTYR QUEEN. I’ve started and re-started that story so many times, and actually being THIS close to the end, with a draft I don’t hate... It’s amazing. I mean, it definitely needs changes, but I’m really proud of how it’s shaping up. 

Now if I could just finish a short story.... X’D

Sundered - Eschatonian Transcript Part 1

Greetings, children of the Eschaton! After 5 years, I’ve finally decided to write down the Eschatonian dialogue in Sundered. That’s right; what you’re about to read is a transcript of the spoken Eschatonian in the game. It’s not 100% accurate or complete, but I still had a lot of fun working on this project! What helped me a lot with piecing the dialogue together and figuring out the spelling of most Eschatonian words was  Kai Le Caroff’s vocab list  shown in Thunder Lotus’s article about Eschatonian  and the game’s .txt file containing the English subtitles among other things (yup, I did some datamining as well ^^)

The structure of these transcripts is as follows:

NOTE: since I had a hard time distinguishing the Eschatonian “er” and short “a” at the end of certain words, I spelled the respective verbs and adjectives with -a (e.g. kliezekta (= good) or beita (= work)) and (pro)nouns with -er (e.g.stüleuker (= human) or mekrer (=my)).

DISCLAIMER: I’M NOT A LINGUIST AND THE DISTORTION IN TST’S VOICE MAKES IT HARD TO MAKE OUT CERTAIN WORDS/PHONEMES SOMETIMES, SO THERE WILL BE SOME TRANSCRIPTION MISTAKES HERE AND THERE.
