Well, I just made this post about Jazz to answer another question, but I didn't think about Dan! However, I was going through my sketches, and I think this old one would be perfect for him. Dan's still a demon; he's just a little man now :) The JL Dark is terrified of him.

nothing feels better than defending the 19 y/o i heard the property manager screaming at by telling him that they can’t evict him until they give him proper notice. remember kids just because they don’t like you doesn’t mean they can just kick you out!!!! property management companies and landlords say shit like “you’re going to get evicted” over anything they don’t like just to scare people in their late teens/early 20s, since most of them don’t know their rights as tenants and have maybe never lived away from home before. don’t let them fool you!! property management companies have to follow the rules whether they like it or not

we prepared pretty well for the storm and didn't lose power but we're Still iced in. it stopped sleeting for long enough tonight for me to strap some microspikes onto my sneakers and walk to a convenience store for milk, which made me laugh because even back in new hampshire i never needed microspikes for anything except hiking. when it ices here, there is nothing to be done. nh infrastructure is full of salt trucks and plows and shovels for sidewalks and whatnot, but here there will be full inches of ice on the road and on the sidewalks until it melts. usually it melts in a day! when you're feeling the effects of ongoing climate catastrophe, tho, it does not. anyway it felt good to get out of the house and stretch my legs but my calves and feet are now burning So Bad. walking a mile having to dig spikes into ice with every step is probably the physical equivalent of 2-3 miles on normal terrain.

also i fell once when the spikes on one foot slipped off but i didn't die. 🥳

Just a heads up, I'm probably gonna be a little quieter/less active for a bit. Just found out my lease isn't getting renewed so I have to find a new place by the end of August, so that whole process is gonna be taking up a lot of my time and energy 🙃

So, I don’t have Amazon Prime, which really fucking sucks when my latest hyper fixation includes a movie that is only available there…so the solution is to just watch it at my parents’ house, which just results in me having awkward moments where my parents walk by during a sex scene.

I turn 30 next year, yet I’m really getting the sense that awkward feeling never really goes away.

But alas, RWRB has become my laundry day activity cause I refuse to pay to do my laundry at my apartment complex and my parents let me use their washer and dryer for free. I just buy my own detergent.

The extra icing on the cake was the financial manager telling me "wow you must be rich to have not noticed until now."

I said "no I'm a busy single mom to a 3 year old who does banking twice a month. I saw the payment go through to my landlord, and not you guys taking the money the day right after"

A lot of politics talk on Tumblr/Reddit seems to use political labels the same way people talk about their "hometowns".

I have family members who strongly identify with and go hard for teams from the city that our Grandparents met in, but that nobody in our family has lived in for two generations. Similarly, I'll see people who really hang on to political labels like "leftist" or "anarchist" when their politics are in no way identifiable with that label.
