Tying a few loose ends.

Just wanted to close the gap with the central fragment being missing, though I'm not sure if that is specifically what is being referred to by Captain Jenna. That is just my own speculation. Could it be the fragment MC is holding in Ch 11 of Zayne's Branch Story?

I reach out but stop once I realise I'm holding something. I open my hand to see a Protocore fragment. It emits a faint green glow.

Are the Branch Stories connected in some way and not in order?

Thought it'd be a good idea to begin going through the other chapters as well.

Dr. Noah mentions that the power of her Aether Core is reduced and speculates it is after an accident in the final experiment.

Meeting Philip, whom Dr. Noah mentioned had run away.

Long-Awaited Revelry - Ch 01 - Ambiguous Chaos - 06 / Story - Resonance and Shackles

MC says in Under Deepspace - Ch 01 - Eternal Aurora - 02 / Story - Deepspace Hunter, of the Main Story, that she was attacked by a Wanderer and since then her Evol hasn't been stable.

MC speculates the Wanderer that Soren is using to trap them in its Protofield can "invade and read memories" or has a special connection to the Spatium Core. Xavier speculates it could have been modified by Soren.

In Zayne's Branch Story, 04 / Story, Chansia City Hospital, MC speculates to herself during a conversation with Captain Willow that maybe the Aether Core made the Myst Wanderer mutate (dispelled by Zayne in Ch 05 of his Branch) "or something" because of its ability to hide. We also learn here that MC can surpress the accumulating Metaflux with her Evol.

We also learn Evol's can potentially be hidden as Xavier says,

"He changed his appearance and hid his Evol." - Xavier

The man in a raincoat and the hat-wearing man (a Backtracker. Possibly Soren?) are hoping Xavier's presence will allow MC (Unicorn) to absorb some of his power.

"If you keep stalling, Ever will end up losing more than they bargained for once she develops." Hat-wearing man, 04/06

Fortunately, the substance mixed in the drug hasn't been discovered yet. According to Ever's plan, if they can control that Backtracker with that drug, Xavier shouldn't be far off. He will soon beat other "Raincoats" and join the real plan. Ever has always valued talent such as a useful lightblade. They can't let it break so easily. Since Unicorn's power isn't complete yet, it's perfectly fine to let her absorb some power- Xavier's specifically. Letting his lightblade serve her and becoming the strongest weapon in her hands is something the Resonance Evol can easily achieve. Xavier will surely give her every bit of himself. - The man in a Raincoat, 05/06

MC finds 2 syringes in the cabin of Xavier's Spaceship, Traceback II Philos 1101 PLS, that showed "signs of recent use". Is this linked to the substance mixed with the drug in World Underneath?

Long-Awaited Revelry - Ch 01 - Ambiguous Chaos - 08 / Story - Hesitation

Philip - the owner of The Odd Workshop analyses MC and discovers she has the Resonance Evol and recognises her Aether Core's Protocurve.

A red/ beta-Protocurve indicates a Protocore is an Aether Core as confirmed by Xavier in the Main Story, Under Deepspace - Ch 06 - Endless Night - 11 / Story - Highest Level Access and Captain Jenna in Zayne's Branch Story, Thorns Under the Moon, 02 / Story, Hunter's Association.

The Hunter's Association doesn't have the means to analyse Aether Core Protocurves until the Branch Stories.

In Zayne's Branch Story, Ch 05, Zayne confirms that an ordinary Wanderer cannot generate such a Metaflux that occurred during the surgery he performed. But he quashes MC's speculation that Aether Core's are causing mutations since she has one successfully integrated with her heart. He may be alluding to the experiments conducted by Xander Sciences as he doesn't elaborate. It interferes with her heart unlike the Wanderer in Xavier's Branch which devours only his power. MC senses faint Aether Core fluctuations and speculates the Myst's Protocore has Aether Core energy. Protocore Clusters keep them trapped in Zayne's nightmare. MC can detect them with her Evol.

Simone tells MC that after Raymond passed, Xander Sciences was acquired by Ever.

I need to revisit again, but we don't know what the Aether Core looks like in Rafayel's Branch Story. All we know is it comes from the Tome of the Sea God.

Under Deepspace - Ch 05 - Eternal Aurora - 09 / Story - Snowy Mountain

Relating to the Protocore found in No Hunt Zone No.7 with Xavier. MC further confirming that its energy value in comparison to the Aether Core in her heart means that the one they found was modified.

That's all for today. It's easy to see all kinds of patterns as there's lots of information that seems insignificant at the time or it's not clear how it pieces together until more information is released.

MC's Anhaunsen Class Evol Ponderings...

In Xavier's anecdote, When Shooting Stars Fall (Ch 01 | Distant Stars, pg 06), MC wishes to know more about him and even tries to use her Evol to resonate with his dreams.

"There were times when i noticed him sleeping. I tried using my Evol to resonate with his dreams. But whenever i do, i get too nervous and fail." - MC

Can MC see people's dreams when she resonates with them while they're asleep?

In Long-Awaited Revelry, Ch 2, she absorbs the power from the Aether Core she obtains from the Flux Nexus and has the infamous vision.

"But before i started resonating with you, i saw a strange vision..." - MC

Sylus can use the Aether Core in his eye to invade and take over consciousness...

Does MC have the capability or potential to do this as well since she can acquire new abilities?

"You have a lot of potential for growth and might even acquire new abilities." - President, Badge Ceremony

In that case, what would MC see if Sylus was dreaming or fantasising about her? Now that, i would like to see. Wouldn't that be grand?

Protocores

As a person who has pretty much never done any kind of research into any of the fandoms I've ever been in, Love and Deepspace apparently has me in a chokehold. I spent most of my day researching protocores, to the point I decided it would be wasteful not to make a mini guide. This DOES NOT teach you builds, but gives general information on Protocores so you can make your own decisions. I included the links I found when researching at the end of this guide, all which go into greater detail. Think of this as a summary of those links and my own trail-and-erroring.

First things first, make sure to ALWAYS look at the card’s “Talent” (under “Attribute”) when adding protocores to it. It will direct you in what attributes you should look for when equipping protocores.

The above screenshot is from Caleb's memory, "Tainted Cuts". According to this talent, I should focus on protocores that increases his DEF stat. Doing so will increase the weakness DMG, and the current bonus is shown in parenthesis at the end. Right now, with no protocores added, and the card being at level 70/80 and fully ranked up, the current bonus is 6.4%. This goes up as DEF increases.

Types of Protocores

Solar Alpha (Diamond) The primary attribute will always be HP. Secondary attributes to look for include: - Crit Rate - Crit DMG - Oath Strength - DMG Boost - Weakened

Beta (Cube) There are 3 recommended main stats for Beta Protocores: - Oath Recovery Boost, which charges Ardent Oath faster. - Expedited Energy Boost, which charges Skills faster. - Oath Strength, which increases the Strength of Ardent Oath.

Lunar Gamma (Star) The primary attribute of these will always be ATK. Again, look at the secondary attributes to see which protocore would work best for you card.

Delta (Triangle) It is suggested that you do NOT use DEF, ATK, or HP for Delta Protocores. Instead, it is suggested that you focus on these states: - DMG Boost Weakened, which increases the amount of damage enemies take when their shield is down. - Crit Rate - Crit DMG

Leveling Protocores

The three levels or Protocores are: - Blue: Rare, with a Max Level of 9. - Purple: Super Rare, with a Max Level of 12. - Gold: Super Super Rare, with a Max Level of 15.

When leveling up your protocores, levels 1-2 will ONLY increase the MAIN attribute of the protocore.

Starting at LVL 3 (and every 3 levels after), there is a chance that either a sub-attribute will be leveled up, or a new sub-attribute will be added.

New sub-attributes are only added if there are less than four attributes already on the protocore.

Protocores

Details:

Protocores are usually found in Wanderers and contain a new type of cosmic energy that originates from Deepspace. After years of research, the methods of extracting their energy have become very advanced. Protocore energy is now used in various fields such as electronics, healthcare, space, Hunter Weapons, etc. After undergoing a special process, they can be equipped by Evolvers to improve their combat abilities.

I was trying to avoid this, but there's just soooo many details to cover about Protocores. Especially Aether Cores. So I'll cover more general info here and then do more specified posts for Aether Cores.

Stellactrum Types:

A Protocore's Stellactrum is the spectographic image that reveals the fluctuating properties of Metaflux during combat. This spectographic image is generated by scanning energy waves within a planet's Protofield (done via Protofield Imaging). In combat, using Stellactrum that corresponds with those of the Protofield amplifies its effects twofold. At present, six Stellactrum types have been identified: Emerald, Ruby, Violet, Amber, Sapphire, and Pearl.

Position Classes:

For each Stellactrum, unmodified Protocores are divided into four classes called Position Classes. Each of the classes can be identified by the overall shape/polyhedron it appears in:

α (alpha): Octahedron

β (beta): Cube

γ (gamma): Escher's Solid

δ (delta): Tetrahedron

Energy Value:

The energy value for ordinary Protocores is around 2500 eV, while the energy value of an Aether Core is around 3019.9 eV.

Protocurve:

When displayed as a hologram, Protocores are said to slowly rotate like small planets and are enveloped by orbital lines called Protocurves. Thus far, the game has only given details about one specific Protocurve: the β-Protocurve.

β-Protocurve: These Protocurves are capable of distorting space itself.

Modified Protocores:

In the Main Story, Xavier and the protagonist bring a modified protocore to the Hunter's Association HQ. This particular Protocore (top) was found in No-Hunt Zone No. 7. When displayed in a hologram (bottom), the Protocore was said to rotate slowly like a small planet, enveloped by blue and red Protocurves. The blue line was the Protocore's original Protocurve, while the red line showed it had been modified. This hologram revealed that the Protocurve kept changing, causing the red line to flicker constantly. This particular Protocore had an energy output value of 3019.9 eV. Since this energy output is extremely close to that of an Aether Core, the protagonist concluded that Onychinus must have used an Aether Core to modify it.

🍨 I’ve been working a lot on me. Or trying to. I think sometimes it’s hard to sit down and really take a good look at yourself. Who you are as a person and how you navigate as that person in the world. Amongst the people that you love. I bought this book called The Tao of Inner Peace a while back, and while I am still going through it. I feel as if I’ve read a lot of good things that I could utilize in my everyday life. The problem is that I haven’t been. 🫠 I’ve been thinking a lot about my tone. How the way I respond to some things and the cadence just isn’t as nice as it could be. Then I thought about how I’ve been reading this book and haven’t been practicing any of what I’ve read. 🫥

🧦 I had a situation happen where I got this new hard drive and it just went kaput. 🙃 Kaput with ALL MY IMPORTANT STUFF ON IT!!! Like I was in the process of backing things up TWICE but I hadn’t done it yet. Which meant that this hard drive had my only copy of like..over a decade of photos and art and whatever else. 🙂 I was PISSED I was so upset!! My ONLY comfort was the fact that Goro wasn’t on that drive. I didn’t feel comfortable putting my sims stuff on there (not even sure why I felt that way but thank you past me) so I kept it on the original drive. I think if I lost Goro I would have lost my actual mind. I made him in 2017 and I’ve only gotten more attached to him as the years go by so that woulda felt like an actual DEATH I’m not even kidding. ANYWAY! Long story short I had to get this program that helps retrieve files from corrupted drives and I found that good news: my stuff all managed to get saved 🥳 but bad news: it’s allllll jumbled up. 😁 I had the joy of having all my things returned to me, but I could only focus on the long and arduous process of going through it all, so I stayed upset.

💩 I hate being upset. I hate hate hate keeping myself down in a hole when I KNOW I don’t have to. I’ve come to learn that none of it really serves me. Cause ME staying miserable doesn’t solve anything! I just wasted another day constantly reminding myself how mad I should be! I thought about the Tao of Inner Peace. How I could reframe my mind. How, while this whole situation is frustrating. I still have my things. And that ALONE is something to celebrate. It’s frustrating now, but it’s not forever. I took some deep breaths, and told myself it’ll be okay. Cause it will be. I’ve been doing this a lot lately. Just taking deep breaths if I feel myself sinking and giving myself that pause to recalibrate. It’s been helping. 💆

🐦‍⬛ I feel good! I feel very good. 🐛 My mood has been the best I feel it’s ever been in like.. months lol not to say I walk around like this DARK CLOUD all the time! But I’ve just been feeling better and thinking better. I keep the book of Tao in the back of my mind. I bought “the courage to be disliked” as well as some other philosophy books and I am so excited to crack them open! 📖🪱Sometimes, you know that life can be different, that YOU can be different, but you’re not sure how. Or what steps to take. For me, books like these help point me in the right direction. 🪴
