It’s been a busy but awesome day yesterday being invited back to the @unikentlive to sit on an employability panel for @kentbusinessschool and talk to MSc Digital Marketing and Analytics, MSc Management and MSc Global Business Management students on how I got to my current role @signifycompany and also about Signify and what I do. After a busy day of work I also had my wonderful work colleagues over for a small housewarming meal 😊, thanks to @nayanees17 for the lovely food, I also had to make the famous Chocolate Biscuit pudding which went down like a treat 😊😋. Today was a busy day but a good one. I finally got to meet the @signifycompany colleagues in Sri Lanka which was nice and to learn about their market 😊, thanks for the lovely notebooks and pens and all the hospitality, looking forward to seeing you all next time. After this we went to meet the cousins @altairsrilanka for some drinks and a swim which was fun along with some amazing views from the 63rd floor pool deck. After this we went for a delicious dinner and drinks @parkstreetmews starting off with drinks @uncles_colombo and then dinner @monsooncolombo 😋. On the way there, we drove past the new Cinnamon Life complex with the windows down and was getting told some information about the architecture from my aunt and @shasthi_silva kept make us laugh by saying she smelt eggs or farts from the river 🤣🤣. At this point I was in hysterics due to the way she was saying it all 🤣🤣. Had been a very full on last few days with our @signifycompany #GreaterTogether conference. It all started on Wednesday when the decision was made that I should head up on that same day to Birmingham, therefore my mum kindly dropped the bag to us in the office before my college & I set off on the trip up. Once we got up there we had a look at the venue from the outside and it looked amazing! We then headed back to the hotel to prepare for the next day, when the conference was going to start. The next day started off with a standard conference and updates from the Leadership team along with a wonderful energiser in the studio of the @therepbirmingham 😊. We then got some time to change for the evening where we had drinks in the Book Rotunda in the Birmingham Library (next to The Rep) before starting an evening of fun, including a quiz, fun employee awards and DJ, Dancing with a Saxophone guy. All in all a wonderful first conference with the Signify family. It’s been a busy week with preparing for a town hall with my work colleagues to welcome the Global CEO of @signifycompany along with other tasks, but it’s all been good fun especially to see it all come together smoothly. Today I had the day off, therefore we took the opportunity to pop into London to visit my brother before he goes on a trip and we went to @westfieldlondon for the day for a bit of shopping for his trips. We had a nice meal thanks to @pizzapilgrims followed by some nice Gelato thanks to @snowflakegelato . Glad it’s the end of a very busy week, but it’s been a good challenge. We had a lot of productive meetings as usual along with me getting asked to prepare the video presentation for the CEO of UK&I to present at the Ignite Conference as well as to be the tech guy on the day 😅. Despite a few technical barriers, we made it work and it went off a success 😊. We also experienced a beautiful sunrise from the office as well 😊.
