So I spent the weekend at a small anime con that is super local. They did their first one like 6 months ago, and it was the first place I ever cosplayed and it was like five hours of being far outside my comfort zone and super glad I didn’t have Addison’s disease. Among the horrors: being randomly selected for a game Show thing where I was outed occupation wise, having a photographer kind of drag me off to take pictures and having a You Tuber try so very hard to get me to be in character for a video. I had no props, just my champions tunic and I straight up wanted TO DIE.

The pictures and the video did show up and omg I can still hardly look at them. However...I’ve gotten much more comfortable in cosplay and my Link is much more complete so this weekend when the same photographer suggested we go outside I went and I think he got some cool pictures of me posing with my weapons. He got a video of me doing some spin and slash with my sword and he also got photos of m6 Vaporeon. The YouTuber was back and was oh I remember you, but I was much more poised and she was all oh it’s like you’re a different person.

Also fun observation, I’ve decided I roll Link as a guy, so I’m trying to figure out how to look and act more male (though I doubt I will ever be able to pull that off 100%, these hips do not lie) so I went out in a binder yesterday. It was pretty comfortable and I was amazed by how much better my gear fit. I had many nice conversations about how I made my stuff with many people, including several men who did not give me a watch out vibe at all.

Today I was a Vaporeon. A shiny one. I wore a low cut dress and a push up bra and at least two of these guys were visibly flustered. Like, damn, that is some sort of super power. Must continue to experiment with that.

Also, everyone knew I was a shiny Vaporeon and appreciated her.
