The Ludomire collection (SF & Fantasy) by PVH Editions, a swiss publisher. Design by Dimitri Jeannottat.

The design is one thing, and a great one, but what I find even better is the way these books are shared with the world. Not only are they available in print and epub but they can also be printed at home: PVH's print@home collection (FR only). You get the PDFs from their website (for a "pay what you want" price) and it comes with a one-page notice on how to print & bind it. It's a very simple bind, no cutting, just one stitch to do. Much easier than the way I bind my collection, ha, ha. See their notice + (parts of) one of their book that I'm printing:

Isn't that wild? It's the first and only time, so far, that I find a collection that's shared the same way mine is. And this is one is by an actual publisher to boot!

One more thing to note, something that I read on their site and obviously can't find anymore now. It's that out of all the ways you can buy these books online (ordering it, buying the ebook, getting the print@home version), the latter is the one that will protect your data the most. You don't give your address, your mail or anything. You just download a file. This is very in tune with the content of (some of) the books themselves - the one I printed, Printeurs ("The ones who print") features a dystopian future where you get ads directly injected into your brain. Yikes. Anyway, I don't have any analysis to give you on this format/diffusion model, but, this is a good find and now you've heard of it too.

Nevím, jestli je nejoblíbenější, ale aktuálně nejčastěji koukám do goticy textualis. Z nápisových písem mám slabost pro raně humanistickou kapitálu.

The Belgian artist became known after his name was revealed during the Apollo 16 launch as the man who created & designed the small Aluminium figurine of a " Fallen Astronaut "... which was left on the Moon in August 1971 by Apollo 15 commander David Scott. by default, qubes uses xen's paravirtualization for reasons of performance and memory usage, but you can switch individual virtual machines to run in xen's HVM (hardware virtual machine) mode and just run whatever in there. that's how windows can run under qubes. if you wanna run minix under qubes, you totally can, but you'll lose the window manager integration and file sharing tools and stuff unless someone ports those

INCIDENT REPORT Document Number HF-97-0211 Dated August 5th 1997 RESEARCHER’S NOTE: The below document has been altered to accurately describe the persons’ involved current identities. On the request of upper management, names have also been redacted, due to the severity of the incident.

What are you reporting?: Injury to Civilians, Damage to Property, Containment Breach. When did it happen?  Afternoon of August 4th. Where did it happen: LWB. Basement Level. Cold Storage. Witnesses:  JH and PVH did not witness all of the event, but did arrive near the end to stop the breach with the Extraction Team. Who was involved:  Two children, 15 and 11. What happened: Two children entered the Cold Storage area, which is off limits to all civilians. [REDACTED] knocked into one of the Asset Containment Pods, waking Asset Six from her comatose state and causing her to break out of her containment. She attacked both children. This event was caught on CCTV, and an Extraction Team was able to intervene before she could cause any further damage to the room, or to the children. The youngest, [REDACTED], reports that he became lost in the building, that [REDACTED] went looking for him, and that it was his fault the incident occurred. However, [REDACTED] has been made aware on multiple occasions that Cold Storage is off limits and should not have allowed his younger cousin to indulge in exploring the Westenra building. Was there any injury to account for: [REDACTED]’s chest was severely lacerated. He was taken to hospital for assessment, but the damage is mostly cosmetic. [REDACTED] sustained a large cut across his right arm, which has been tended to by one of our medics on standby. Actions going forward: -THF will cover any private medical costs for [REDACTED], with the proviso that he is never allowed to enter the Westenra building again. -The Asset Pods will be evaluated for any future sleep disturbance.  -All Asset Containment Pods will be assessed for further ‘wear and tear’. - This will not be allowed to happen again.  Form completed by: JH

*nasadí si epigrafické/paleografické brýle*

Termíny majuskula a minuskula neznamenají nutně velká a malá písmena, tak jak je známe z hodin češtiny. Tohle dělení říká jenom, jestli se dané písmeno dá vepsat do dvoulinkové, nebo do čtyřlinkové osnovy.

U majuskulních písem (podobně jako na téhle desce) je celkem běžné, že se versálky (takže první písmena ve jméně) napíšou větší.

Nahňahňaná písmena ve jméně (nebo v jakémkoliv slovu) jsou taky celkem běžná, viděla jsem nápisy, kde se to kameníkovi nevešlo tak moc, že musel tesat mimo nápisové pole.

Zkratky jsou minimálně ve středověku poměrně běžné, ale pro zkratku Bedř. obhajobu nemám. To je zhovadilost.
