This is a first special Art trade for you Aaliyah @ducktoonz903707 since you have always liked my posts And even gave parodies some attention =^_^=

So, I wanted to do an Art trade with Aaliyah, And she asked me to draw her OC Quax with her redesign of Lucille the ladybug, meeting each other for the first time =^///^=

And I have asked her to draw Emin "Eminem" (self insert OC) with Sunny from class of 3000, in a romantic scenario =^////^=

And also, Lucille the ladybug And the parodies Belong to me while quax the duck belongs to Aaliyah @ducktoonz903707 =^.^=

Disclaimer: the images in this post are arranged in a way so that the Scarlet images are all on the left and the Violet images are all on the right. Obviously I only took on the Academy Ace Tournament in one version at a time

Took on the Academy Ace Tournament in both versions and here were my opponents in the order battled (apart from the fact the Scarlet images are all on the left and the Violet images are all on the right). I’ve learned two things from this - 1 is that Miriam can be the first opponent (like in Scarlet) or the 3rd opponent (like in Violet). She has the same lines in both positions. The second is that Nemona can actually be battled in this tournament (genuinely she’s never appeared to me in this in Violet and I haven’t had the chance for her to appear in this in Scarlet up until now). Also her Pokémon don’t have an order they’re sent out apart from her starter being her final Pokémon and probably her leading with Lycanroc (I remember Orthworm being her penultimate Pokémon in Scarlet because Luna was struggling and nearly cried so I swapped it out for Blueberry only to bring Luna back against her ugly croc (I had every wish to send out Quax or keep Blueberry out instead but I had plans involving Terastalising every single one of my aces and I’d already used Quax against Tyme and Blueberry against Penny. I also kinda wanted Clavell to be my last opponent in Violet so I could beat the shit out of that ugly croc twice in one day but I got Nemona with her fabulous gay duck instead) but she sent Orthworm out really early on against me in Violet. Also Dudunsparce I think was her 2nd Pokémon in Scarlet but her penultimate Pokémon in Violet). Oh yeah the third thing I learnt (or possibly fourth) is that Dark-types can cry. Both Luna and Spriggie nearly cried at some point (I returned Luna to its ball and took out Blueberry to deal with Orthworm and also use a full heal on Luna while Spriggie has a Shell Bell on him so he just gradually healed up as the battle continued and he kept taking out Raifort’s Pokémon)

My aces Terastalising for no reason other than it’s pretty. It’s hard to tell what’s going on in half these images so in order Fire Tera type Char (Armarouge), Fire Tera type Char (Ceruledge), Water Tera type Quax (Quaquaval), Grass Tera type Spriggie (Meowscarada), Water Tera type Blueberry (Walking Wake), Psychic Tera type Cherry (Iron Leaves), Dragon Tera type Luna (Roaring Moon) and Fighting Tera type Knight (Iron Valiant). Roaring Moon are honestly kinda ugly but somehow Luna got out-uglied by Nemona’s Skeledirge (okay that’s enough Skeledirge slander for one post)

And of course my aces shouting after defeating their final opponents

As you can see, Liko’s Sprigatito and Dot’s Quaxly in both games have evolved into Liko’s Floragato and Dot’s Quaxwell. As much as I prefer their fully-evolved forms I want to wait a bit and use their middle stages so I haven’t allowed them to fully-evolve just yet

Still, because I chose Quax/Quaxly/Quaquaval in Scarlet and Spriggie/Sprigatito/Meowscarada in Violet I now have the Pokédex entries for Floragato in Scarlet and Quaxwell in Violet

What do you think of the new Pokémon Scarlet and Violet trailer/info?

Conflicted if I’m being honest.

Like, it kinda feels like an rpg but with a Pokémon mod attached if that makes sense?

Some of the NPCs look great (like the professors and the rival(?)) and fit the world around them but then others….eh…. and combined with the graphics of the Pokémon themselves, things just seem out of place.

I know it’s not the final product so maybe they’ll tweak it before it’s release

Also the legendaries look like Digimon which are cool but my brain is confused

Day 16: Pet Names - 1100 words

The thing is, everybody has a pet name.

Some are obvious: Bombs, Cass, Queenie, and Lightning Bug. Jenny will not tolerate anything else... except when she allows ‘Dottie’ (to this day Quaxo doesn’t know how Tugger managed that). He still refers to Macavity as ‘Macca’ sometimes, he’s never called Munkustrap anything but ‘Straps’ as far as Quaxo knows, and he calls Jemima ‘dove’.

Some are more clever: Numinous and Arcane, Imp and Puck, Sir Pouncington Cival III and Et Tu (and really, when had Tugger ever read Shakespeare?), Cadence (Demeter’s reaction when he’d first call her that was admittedly very funny), and Miss Misc. He has even referenced Quaxo’s uncle as Uncle Brummell, though he has the good sense not to say it to Bustopher’s face.

Some were initially calculated to annoy and eventually became fond, like Slinky (which Alonzo still will not cop to liking) or Jelly Roll (Jellylorum swats every time he uses it but she somehow always misses, even when he’s right next to her). Every so often he uses Augustus instead of Gus just to see Gus Jr roll his eyes and hide a smile. Plato has been ‘Socrates’ for as long as Quaxo can remember, and George remains ‘Curious George’.

So yeah, everybody has a pet name. Everyone but him.

He can’t even blame it on being new to the junkyard, since both Alonzo and Victoria have had names bestowed on them

“Don’t push your luck. He’s just going to wind up calling you ‘socks’ or something,” Alonzo yawns.

“What if it means he doesn’t actually like me?”

“I really don’t think that’s a problem,” Cassandra says dryly.

“But—.”

“Have you asked him?”

Quaxo draws back in horror. “But then he’d know. I’d never hear the end of it.”

“But I might,” Alonzo grumbles.

Cassandra nips his ear. “Be nice.”

“Ow.” Alonzo pulls his most pathetic ‘hurt’ face. When Cassandra remains unmoved, he pouts and rolls onto his back. “Seriously, Quax, just ask him about it. But if he starts calling you ‘duck’ or ‘quack’, don’t say I didn’t warn you.”

“You realize that not having your name mangled makes you special among the tribe?” Cassandra asks.

Quaxo frowns. “Special?”

“There isn’t a cat who gets away with their name unscathed. Except you.” She punctuates this with a whip of her tail across his back.

“Do not tell me he respects my little brother more than his own father,” Alonzo groans.

“He has a name for Old Deuteronomy?” Quaxo whispers, eyes wide.

“I can neither confirm nor deny that he has been overheard to refer to his father as High Top, Esq, providing Old Deuteronomy is not available to hear him,” Cassandra says sagely.

Quaxo can’t help but smile; that sounds exactly like something he’d expect from Tugger. It also means that even Tugger’s father has a special name and Quaxo is definitely the only cat who doesn’t. He curls his tail around his paws and sinks down into its meager cover.

“Oh, now see what you’ve done? You’ve made him sad.”

Cassandra kicks Alonzo and licks Quaxo’s cheek. “Love, it really doesn’t mean he doesn’t like you. Just talk to him if it bothers you so much.”

Quaxo sighs. Apparently, he has no choice.

One never knows when the Rum Tum Tugger can be found in the junkyard. He comes and goes (nobody knows exactly where to) as he pleases. There is no rhyme or reason to his visits but Quaxo has always had a sense for them. He just knows that Tugger will visit, so he sits out that evening, watching the sun disappear behind the human dwellings near the junkyard from the roof of the rusting car. He keeps one eye on the main gate because the Rum Tum Tugger can certainly creep when he wants to.

The Rum Tum Tugger isn’t creeping tonight. His paws land heavily on the ground as he walks through the main clearing. His path is roughly aiming for his den. Quaxo stands to draw Tugger’s attention. He arches his back in a stretch and jumps from the car roof to the boot.

“Tugger.”

“Out late, eh, Quaxo?”

“Just watching the sunset.”

“Sure you weren’t waiting for me?” Tugger chuckles. He joins Quaxo on the boot, wrapping his tail around his paws.

Quaxo sighs. Now or never. “I wanted to ask you something.”

Tugger lifts a surprised eyebrow. “Oh?”

“Why do you give everybody pet names?”

Tugger’s head cocks to the side and he hums. Quaxo waits to be made fun of but for a long while, there are only the sounds of London between them.

“Seemed a thing to do,” Tugger says at last.

“What?”

“It annoyed all the right cats for a while.” Tugger shrugs. “But then they all got used to it. I was going to stop because it was boring not to get a reaction, but the first time I didn’t call Straps Straps after months of him swearing he’d have me sent to the pound, he gave me the biggest sad cow eyes.”

Quaxo’s lips twitched up. “And what about those who liked it from the start?”

“Them, it’s just cute. Have you seen how Pouncival puffs up? Or how Etcetera giggles? Seems mean to stop.” Tugger frowns. “Why ask? Did someone ask you to ask me to stop?”

“Would you?”

Tugger stretches out his back legs and resettles. “Depends on who.”

“What if someone wanted one?”

Quaxo forces himself not to cringe away from the dawning understanding. Tugger’s eyes twinkle. He lowers himself into a loaf, bringing his head down to Quaxo’s height, pressing their foreheads together. Quaxo keeps hold of his gaze in spite of Tugger’s knowing smile.

“This is because you don’t have one, hm?”

There is suddenly a spot of dirt on Quaxo’s paw that absolutely must be attended to. He grooms it fastidiously. Tugger chuckles. Quaxo figures he might as well clean his ears while he’s working on his paw. He turns slightly away so he can really work the back of them. Tugger’s paw lands on his shoulders and pulls him in. He’s purring like a chainsaw as he takes over grooming Quaxo’s ears.

“See… the thing is,” he says between long, rough licks, “I’m not entirely sure you’re ready for one.”

“What does that mean?” Quaxo grumbles.

“Dunno yet. There’s just... more to you.”

Quaxo cannot decide if he should be flattered or not. Tugger starts to groom his head fur backward and Quaxo wiggles away. He swats half-heartedly. Tugger catches his paw and kisses it.

“Show me?”

Quaxo smiles and calls on his magic

I’ve randomly started thinking the other day about what would happen if my Scarlet and Violet aces individually went on little trips to the other version (basically either one of my Scarlet aces visits my Violet aces or one of my Violet aces visits my Scarlet aces) and while I think it would be really cool if Quax (the Quaquaval) and Knight (the Iron Valiant) met, when I imagine one of them going to the other team I always think they’d get too distracted by some other Pokémon on that team to notice the vague ballet themes of each other (okay Quaxwell is the ballet duck not Quaquaval but you know what I mean) - Quax spends his trip to my Violet team flirting with Spriggie (and Spriggie’s more than happy to flirt back) meanwhile the moment Knight senses I have two Past Paradox Pokémon on my Scarlet team those blades are gonna be in a combined weapon in its left hand faster than the speed of light and either Luna or Blueberry is getting stabbed assuming Char doesn’t step in to stop them getting too close to each other and even then Luna’s part Dark and will probably be able to break through any protection Char gives Knight to swipe its face off

Just in general how I think they’d interact with each other:

Quax and Spriggie just spend the entire time flirting with each other

Char the Armarouge is very eager to finally meet some Future Paradox Pokémon in person and also a bit confused at Spriggie given his Dark type. Char the Ceruledge is less happy to socialise although she will willingly team up with Luna after discovering their mutual dislike of Knight. Knight’s not too happy about this and probably sees Char as an enemy for life

Luna attacks Knight and Cherry unprovoked and Knight attacks Luna and Blueberry unprovoked. Spriggie and Char are surprised to see fear on Cherry’s robotic face (not because it’s robotic but because it’s generally fearless)

Blueberry and Cherry also flirt with each other (because I love a good WaterxGrass ship) but in a more romantic less sexual way. Also they have to be careful about Luna and Knight trying to attack them as well as seeing them as traitors (yeah so I headcanon every Roaring Moon hates the Future Paradox Pokémon but couldn’t think up a better reason than “they all want to be the same” and every Iron Valiant thinks the Past Paradox Pokémon are objectively bad in a kind of “they didn’t have equality back then” kind of way. They’re both wrong). Also Spriggie also loves to play in Blueberry’s mane (Char’s not affectionate enough and Knight doesn’t trust Blueberry)

I caught the unevolved forms of the Trickster Cat and Gay Duck! The Sprigatito is unoriginally named Spriggie while originally I named the Quaxly Quax because I like shortening names in nicknames but then I was talking to myself about it and think I mispronounced Quaxly as Quack-slay so because of Quaquaval’s reputation as the Gay Duck I changed his name to Quaxlay. I may end up talking like Quaxly is my favourite but Spriggie is still my favourite it’s just because I prefer the cats I chose Spriggie in Violet so I’ve never had a Quaxly before

Turns out Spriggie isn’t eligible for the element cup though

*gasps* did they not announce Fuecoco? I mean I ain’t complainin’, I don’t even like the Fuecoco line. Anyway, so I’ve got a Sprigatito in both games that can match Spriggie the Meowscarada, my starter in Violet, and now I can get a Quaxly in both games to match Quax the Quaquaval, my starter in Scarlet. All in all, I’ve been very excited for this and I hope to put Liko’s Sprigatito and Dot’s Quaxly in my teams in both games (even allowing them to get mixed up with Quax and Spriggie once they fully evolve. Ooh ooh ooh I could have picnics with them as Sprigatito and Quaxly and Floragato and Quaxwell! And of course Meowscarada and Quaquaval). I was initially planning on including the ugly croc line but given the order they’ve done these, I don’t think I will now. I’ll just collect them when they’re distributed and evolve them up with candy only to keep them in my boxes. I’m gonna need them for Pokédex completion and I guess I can sacrifice my Fire Pledge and Blast Burn TMs for them

Wait, anyone remember how the Sprigatito distribution started just before Liko’s Sprigatito evolved into Floragato? Not that I’m suggesting anything, it probably won’t happen, it’s just I wouldn’t be the first person I’ve seen to theorise we could be getting a Quaxly->Quaxwell evolution sometime soon (and the sooner we get Quaxwell, the sooner we can get Quaquaval). Admittedly, this is another thing I thought would have to wait until the ugly croc line got that treatment, if it ever happened at all for my beautiful gay duck line
